Ok as far as Mexican. The teriyaki chicken and rice is really good. Staff is pleasant and clean atmosphere.

Wasabi Express is to Japanese restaurants what Fazoli's is to Italian restaurants. At least, that's the feeling I got while eating there. It's not the large dining room, business casual kind of place, but rather an un-intimidating, casual experience. I'm not saying either are bad things. The decor is clean and modern; I was worried a bit going in because of the prior restaurants in the same space. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The hostess always wears a beautiful smile, and I felt immediately welcomed! (She had worked at another local restaurant.) The server was very polite and attentive from the time I sat down until I walked out the door. A manager checked on my dining experience as well. The food. You're going to probably spend about $8-10 for lunch. I ordered the lunch combination of chicken and vegetables which came with the traditional Japanese onion soup, salad with ginger dressing, and sweet carrots. The soup was tasty (I love that stuff!). Then, on to my only complaint...the salad looked like it had been cut the day before. It was starting to turn dark and didn't appear as fresh as I would have liked. Don't get me wrong. It wasn't yucky brown or anything, rather, just starting to darken. The entree, on the other hand, was delicious! Tender chicken. Well-developed flavor. Excellent Fried rice. Yum yum (shrimp) sauce available at my fingertips. I was in heaven...until I had to go back to work.

Great food. I always get the chicken teriyaki and an order of sushi. This place served Mexican and Chinese food. Odd combination but I've never got anything I didn't like. Portions are hearty also.

When we pulled into the parking lot, there was only two cars parked in the whole lot. Should've known, right?! Nevertheless, we decided to try it, cause I mean, you never know, it might turn out to be one of those hole in the walls kind of restaurants. Well, it wasn't. At first, we were the only customers in the restaurant. They served us this ramen broth soup, which is I guess their poor version of miso soup. We ordered four rolls, two out of the four were just so so. We ordered two fried ones and two cold ones. The cold ones were Rainbow roll and a spicy tuna roll, I think. The rainbow roll only had salmon and tuna which is not what rainbow roll consists of. Rainbow roll supposed to have all kinds of fish on it, hence the name, rainbow roll. And the spicy tuna had way too much spicy mayo. Actually, it had too much mayo period. The worst part about the two sushi rolls is it was made with hard rice. Sticky rice which is what supposed to be the base of sushi, is absolutely no way in hell supposed to be hard. The other two rolls was called salmon lover and an avocado fried roll. I didn't know the salmon lover was going to be an actual cooked salmon dipped in tempura batter wrapped around a sushi, which to be honest had no flavor or taste to it at all. Nor did the avocado fried roll. The taste was strictly from the sauce, which he ate up real fast. The soy sauce was way too salty, I think it was the black soy sauce not the low sodium kind, as it says on the bottle. I know my soy sauces, and this one is definitely not low sodium. The wasabi was too pastie, not fresh at all. And lastly there were plates of old food thrown into a bin right when you walked into the restaurant. I was appalled, and thinking.. aren't they supposed to have that in the back and cleaned - cleared out of the way by now. That was kinda gross. The only reason why I'm giving it two stars is because the waitress was really sweet and nice. I mean, growing up in California where sushi is right at your finger tips all day all the time, this place served very bad sushi, enough said.
