I would honestly have to say over evening tonight would have to be overall one of the best dinners ever. The atmosphere was perfect, our waitress was awesome, our drinks were great - tried the Amelie- and our food was wonderful! Would defiantly come again when we are in town!

Food: All three of our party members enjoyed the food. Being the less adventurous of the three I just had a cheeseburger, but it was very good. Ambiance/Atmosphere: Definitely feels high-end in this restaurant. Fireplace, nice decor, etc.It would be a great place for a romantic date, celebration, or even business dinner. Price: For what the ambiance is, the price is quite affordable. Not expensive at all, which is a surprise considering how nice it is inside. Service: No complaints; friendly and quick/efficient waitress.

Don't let the fact this place is in a strip mall dissuade you from eating there when in Richmond. Nice decor, good food, good wine selection. Overall, good experience.

A pleasant surprise in this somewhat sad, Walmart-gutted town. Amazed that a college town like Richmond (Eastern KY University) doesn't have a bunch of places like this like where I'm from (Ann Arbor) but glad to find a place that doesn't just reheat frozen food service ingredients like every chain. The chain-loving zombies I was with complained at how long it took to be served but I worked hard to cool them off. All was better when dinner arrived (it didn't take that long!). I had the agave margarita which I wished was as big as mine at home. It was tasty. The short rib burger was delicious with guac, grilled onions and loads of bacon. I wished they used homemade brioche rolls because the burger deserved better. Homemade chips were very good. Don't fill up on that bread basket!

This was an amazing find for me as I come to Richmond often. I cannot say enough about the staff, the food and the bartender! By far the best restaurant in Richmond! This will be a regular stop for me. Thank you!

Great sea bass, crab cakes, and steak. Excellent soups and salads. Full service bar with great wine list. We totally enjoyed ourselves. Perfect regular place or special occasion treat! We will be back!! Well worth a stop when traveling to Keeneland or along I-75...

Gorgeous restaurant. Good service. Wife's steak was way overcooked. She'd for Pittsburgh (black and blue) came out medium well. (Restaurant did comp a martini for her - which was nice. Not then she was drunk and hungry.) I would go back and try it again. Such a pretty place to eat.

Foodies beware of this place. Sitting in the dining room I could hear the cooks swearing in the back. The food itself was uninspired. They're trying to be gourmet, but it's just not working. They're trying to do an upscale menu but it's stuff I could order anywhere and it's stuff I could cook at home and cook way better. Usually the first hint that a place just doesn't have it is the clientele and how the managers and staff act and react. Sorry Hanger, I think if you don't improve your menu and train the staff better you won't have a restaurant in the next year. I'll never return...ever.

Hanger's is all day and it's gotta be one of the best restaurants in Richmond Kentucky. I was only in town on business for four nights, but this was by far the best place to eat that I experienced. It was Kentucky Derby weekend so the place was rocking. I sat at the bar for probably 2+ hours, watching the race, and I had a feast. The wine list was great. I stuck with red the whole night and I let the bartender guide me along the way. I started with a cheese board and all i can remember was the KENNY'S KENTUCKY BLEU. By far the beat one of the bunch. Then I had soup and a salad, followed by their hanger steak. Everything tastes great and the service was surprisingly good considering how busy they were. All in all, Hanger's Restaurant is legit and I highly recommend it.

The food was great!! The server we had was fantastic. I wish the rest of the staff would have been a little quieter regarding personal matters, even though we were the last customers for the evening.

It's a beautiful restaurant inside and they make the atmosphere as upscale as possible for Richmond. We went there for a special dinner. I had the crab cakes for $27. My husband ordered the prime rib for another $27. It took 1.5 hours to get our food and it was not a busy night. The crab cakes were dry and tasteless the steak was ridiculously small for a 12 oz. prime rib. We dropped $60 for food we barely touched and ended up going to Qdoba after we left because we were still hungry. Will never step foot in there again. Unless you are in the wine and cheese for dinner crowd, not recommended.

Hanger's is definitely the nicest up-scale restaurant Richmond has seen in a long, long time. The menu has a nice mix of new classics and dishes which are a refreshing surprise - especially in a city dominated by chains. I highly recommend the cheese plate as a starter (your selection of 3 cheeses for $12 accompanied by dried fruits, walnuts, & a mango chutney). The selection features local Kentucky made products as well as some "imports" from other states. Most notably, there are 3 of Cowgirl Creamery's cheeses - designated by California - I highly recommend the Mt Tam and Humboldt Fog. I've been to Hanger's twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the food and service were excellent. For lunch I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which had a nice level of spice and a great blue cheese, too. For dinner, we sampled a selection of appetizers and split a dessert.

Have stopped on return trips from Lexington and have only needed bar service, which has been excellent and their Bloody Mary's with bacon are the best in Richmond. They have a great "Happy Hour" Best kept secret in Richmond --- " Hanger's " John & Leonor Richmond

Great place - Richmond is lucky to have Hangers... It's classy, relaxed, and the menu is upscale. I love the filet medallions that's served over potato cakes and covered in hollandaise sauce with asparagus. It's upscale atmosphere is a breath of fresh air against all of the chains in the area! Valentine's Day was really beautiful and enchanting there this year.

Went for lunch last week and was very disappointed. Service was slow. We spent 70 minutes for lunch? I ordered a cheeseburger ($9) and my Mom had the soup and half sandwich special. ($6) The soup portion was small and tasted ok. The sandwich was average at best. He asked me how I wanted the burger cooked, so I ordered Medium. It came out and was completely well done and super dry. Inedible. Sent it back and it took 15 minutes for a another. This one was cooked better but still was worth the price. It was a 1/3 pound at best. Since when I got my second burger Mom was done, she ordered the bread pudding. It was decent but no where worth the $7 dollar charge. (A desert that cost more than the lunch special?) Bottom line - This place is not worth it. Save your money and go to Steak & Shake.
