Checked in twice and now I'm the Duchess?! What's up with that, Richmond Yelpers? This is the very first CB that I remember coming to... as a kid. I think this one was built before the Lexington locations... from what I remember anyways. 9 times out of 10 when I come to a CB I order the kids chicken tender meal. Since the biscuits are already free, the meal is almost equal sized as the adult chicken tender meal, but the kids meal includes the drink and is cheaper. Score! The service and food have been good, no complaints from me... it's just not a five star restaurant.

We all have bad days. I get it. But Jennifer, the hostess, was the surliest, rudest, and most negative person! My goodness! My companions and I were just passing through, on a short roadtrip and on our way back home. We decided to stop here for breakfast before getting back into the drive. I went to the hostess stand and asked how long the wait would be (as you know Cracker Barrel on Sunday morning has a famously long line) and before I could get the question out fully she snapped at me "Everything has a wait!" I was taken aback so I didn't answer right away, but when I did I said, "We just want to know how long the wait is..." to which she replied "Well what do you want? How many?" I told her three people in my party, gave her my name, and walked away. HOW RUDE JENNIFER. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED. I don't think I'll ever be back to this Cracker Barrel, as I was just passing through to begin with, but what an impression to leave on someone!!

Stopped here while traveling from Michigan to Florida. I originally ordered haddock, but it was not very good, so the waitress offered to switch it for catfish. I requested that my meal be carryout because everyone in my party was almost done eating. The waitress was very friendly and I really appreciate her hospitality. I also love going to the store outside the restaurant! Everyone in the store was friendly and helpful too! After grabbing a few goodies it was time to head back to the hotel and relax. The only problem my family had was the seating. We were a party of 5, but there weren't any tables available to accommodate us, so the staff had us sit at a small 4 seat table and added a chair at the end for my son. Probably wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but a 6'3" teen at the end of a small table without much leg room wasn't good at all!

BOTTOM LINE - For what it means to be and do..This Cracker Barrel is as good as it can be. We need more breakfast choices in our neck of the woods... especially early morning options. How can there not be a breakfast palace or pie-rich truckstop anywhere between Lexington and ...Knoxville? Anyway, we took our folks to the airport this morning and wanted breakfast at 6AM. Waffle House was out for reasons you already agree with..so where can we go...we can go to Cracker Barrel. A seven or eight log fire was going in their big 'ol hearth. A friendly lady greet3d and say us. A friendly, on-point, lady served us. We had our breakfast in a clean well-run chain restaurant. Yes....One of my porkchops was kinda wee and tough. The hashbrown casserole was kinda gloopy. My over-med's were kinda over-hard..but all-in-all...we got exactly what we went there to get - an egg breaky w coffee. And we really enjoyed it. But..somebody please tell me why Cracker Barrel - that I imagine is run by serious 'Mericans sells all those cheap clothes that are made in China?...
