I had an amazing meal at Spicy Ginger. I was in Paducah for work and chose to eat here based on the other favorable reviews. I definitely made a good choice! It was a Thursday evening and there was only one other table in the restaurant. Before long, I was the only person left. Service was very attentive without being overbearing. The hot towel was a nice touch. Everything on the menu seemed fairly priced. I ordered the ginger chicken with a side of fried rice. Everything about the meal was great. The presentation was on point, with a small "SG" spelled with spices on the bottom of the plate. The ginger chicken was good but I think I will be more adventurous if I am ever back in town. The fried rice was to die for. Might be the best fried rice I have ever had. Perfectly cooked and tasted GREAT! Definitely stop by if you are in Paducah. You won't regret it.

There are few times in your life when you can walk into a restaurant that you have never visited and be surprised from the first moment. Tonight I had one of those experiences. As a typical American diner I am fairly used to subpar food, inattentive presentation, and poor service. This meal had none of those failings. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted warmly. The place was empty but you can expect that at 3 PM. The menu then hit me with wonderful descriptions and variety. The very next thing that I heard from the woman helping me was, "Everything here is cooked to order and you can add or subtract anything you want from any of the dishes." This may seem like a small thing to you and many chefs look down on this practice. However, I see this as the ultimate in service. Anyway, I ordered spring rolls and when they came out they were FRESH from the fryer. Hot, not greasy, crisp and filled with flavor. After a lot of discussion (because my brain can rarely decide what to choose at a Thai restaurant) I ordered the Singapore Street Noodles and added more pea pods and bamboo shoots....SPICY! When my meal arrived I could smell the sweetness of the curry 20 feet away and all at once my stomach begged me to jump onto the plate like an animal. I kept my composure but it didn't take long to devour the plate. These reviews don't need to be this long so let me give you my final endorsement. Even though I was full. I ordered another meal and some Green tea ice cream before I left. And while I waited I chatted with the owner, and a few of the staff. They were very kind, helpful and pretty damn funny also! I wholeheartedly recommend Spicy Ginger but only if you want good service, and an excellent meal made exactly as you want it!

Yes!!!! The food is amazing. Very fresh and super tasty. Flavor is very important to me and this restaurant knocked it out of the ballpark. I ordered the Thai Tom Yum Soup. It's spicy and has the perfect combination of flavors! Amazing ginger flavor mixed with spicy peppers, fresh tomatoes, shrimp, and bamboo shoots. I paired the soup with a side salad. The dressing is delicious! For my main dish, I ordered the Dragon Dance roll. No disappointment here! It was delicious and I can tell all the ingredients are fresh. The ambiance is very relaxing and the music is a soothing jazz mix. This is the perfect place for a romantic dinner or perfect evening meal. I will be back!!!!!

My husband and I happened along this place on a Saturday night. The food was very good. The sushi was fresh and the Ramon noodles were very good too. The wait staff was accommodating and polite. The food came out quickly and was hot. The only bad thing is the location. Out of the way. But when you get there you won't be disappointed.

I have to say this is one of the best Asian foods we have eaten and we eat a lot of Asian food. We started with the gyoza (dumplings) and they were served with a small side salad that was fresh, crisp and delicious. The dipping sauce was tasty and dumplings excellent. We frequent a dumpling haus in our home town so we do taste a lot of different dumplings. My husband ordered the Volcano and he was wowed by the cute execution and loved the flavor of the curry sauce with vegetables, chicken and shrimp. He stated he could eat just the sauce and rice and be happy. I prefer noodle dishes and ordered the Singapore noodle dish. It came with chicken and shrimp and had such a light airy, fresh flavor that I didn't need a take out box which is unusual for me. I almost ate it all and my husband finished the little I had left on my plate. We were so impressed and knowing that we live 7 hours north, we ordered a take out of the gyoza and Singapore noodles to have for dinner tomorrow night. We drive by Paducah once a year and will surly find a way to stop off here for take out if we don't find ourselves here for an overnight. The service is also excellent and very attentive. They are happy to answer any questions you may have about the menu and explain the flavors etc.

Great Resturant and the sushi is so fresh! If you like sushi I would suggest the variety of nigiri or dancing dragon roll. Presentation is great and the Resturant atmosphere was great too. Finally make sure you talk to the owner...she is the great! Price point is moderate. Plenty of options though with that.

Like many travelers, we were stopping in Paducah for one night on our way down to Florida. We had been on the road for 12 hours and really wanted to cleanse our palates after a day of junk food in the car. I am so, so grateful we followed others' advice and at at the Spicy Ginger Cafe. We were greeted by an incredibly courteous staff and immediately felt welcome and relaxed. When the owner heard about our long car trip, she came back to the table with hot towels for everyone, advising the driver (my husband) to refresh his face and neck. At that point, we honestly wanted to skip the hotel and just sleep over . . . and that was before the food arrived! Many delicious choices on the menu, with a surprisingly strong wine list. We all raved about our meals - dumplings were some of the best we've ever had (and we're a fussy dumpling family), the mild eaters enjoyed their lemon chicken and wonton soup, and the spice-preferring grown-ups loved our curry dishes. In fact, when the owner asked if my dish was hot enough, and I admitted I wouldn't mind a little more heat, she came back to the table with her own house-made hot sauce . . . perfection. The kids begged us to change our route on the way back a week later, just so we could stop at the Spicy Ginger again. Unfortunately, we weren't able to swing it, but we will definitely make a point to make Paducah the layover spot again. We already miss those dumplings!

Absolutely fabulous. I got in late and checked Yelp. Found this place. I got the Monks Special with brown rice. Two Tiger beers. Perfect meal. If you like Asian food, don't miss this Kentucky treasure!

I travel to Paducah once or twice a month on business and I'm so happy that I found Spicy Ginger on this trip! I could have chosen one of the "safer" standard Asian menu items, but decided to be adventurous with the Malaysian stir-fry noodles. It was excellent, and really a step or two above what you'd be able to find at any other place in the area. The staff were very friendly, and knew just what I needed before I even had to ask. I don't know if they usually do this, or if they could just tell that I'd had a long day at work, but they brought me a hot towel for my face after ordering, with the instructions to tip my head back and relax for a minute. It worked! I wasn't expecting that level of service when I walked in, but it was a fantastic surprise.

The food, the atmosphere and the service were very good. When I asked the chef to prepare some dishes not listed on the menu, he was very accommodating. They have many vegetarian dishes with a lot of flavor. A nice little find if you find yourself in Paducah

Just had the ahi tuna and the Malaysian Curry Noodles. Both were excellent! Been here many times and I am never disappointed. When they have duck, get it. Its the best I've ever had. The Spicy Ginger sampler lets you try some of the best appetizers. Good wine selection, too.

I'm a fan of the whole Asian fusion cuisine and, fortunately, Spicy Ginger did not disappoint. The staff were accommodating and quick and the food was wonderful. I had the Malaysian fried rice, which was a nice combination of traditional fried rice, but with a curry sauce. I couldn't stop eating it! I hope to stop in here again the next time I'm in Paducah.

WOW - rolled off the road after a long day of travel and stopped here for dinner. We love sushi and anything Asian and based upon previous Yelp reviews decided to give it a try. It was wonderful. We ordered Malaysian Noodles and two different sushi rolls and split both between the two of us. Amazing food. The sushi was excellent and the noodles were absolutely perfect--well seasoned with shrimp and squid. We recommend it highly.

Wonderful surprise as a traveler just coming into Paducah! Spring rolls were okay. But oh my gosh, lamb chops were amazing! May be the best I've had - perfect blend of spicy and sweet. Asian side salad sesame dressing was tasty. And the staff has been incredibly attentive and nice! Nice ambiance too. Will definitely be back.

They take the tails off of shrimp before it goes into you your food so you don't have to: Epic! It's an underrated practice that needs to be standard. Thank you Jo & ?? (I haven't met your husband).

This was my favorite place to eat when I lived in Paducah. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is that it would get a little slow sometimes because the owner personally cooked everything to order. I was always satisfied with my food and almost always satisfied with the service I received here. If you're looking for somewhere nice to eat something other than deep fried food in Paducah, this is the best place I found.

Not good. Whoever has written reviews saying it's good must know the owner. My mother ordered a noodle dish. It was horrible. I had the yellow curry. It was a average. It was also way overpriced. I would never come back.

We had a great meal here last night. The food was uniquely spiced with great beef and the kung pao chicken was not too hot. The pot stickers were very good. The staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable.

I am surprised by all of the great reviews for this place. The food is mediocre, outrageously overpriced, and far too slow. It took about 20 minutes for our gyoza to arrive. The gyoza was nothing special, just 5 small pieces that cost $9.50. I was astonished by the prices! The sushi was the highest priced, and I considered trying it until I heard a customer ask the sushi chef about one of the rolls, only to be told that he didn't know how it was made. The waitress quickly came up and told the woman that the sushi chef was too busy to talk, and that she would be back soon to answer her questions. As for our entrees, after 35 minutes we were literally getting up to leave when they finally came out of the kitchen. The waitress apologized and said that it was slow because it's cooked to order. That is what I expect of any restaurant, especially one with these prices. The Mongolian beef was tasty, but the ginger chicken my husband ordered was far too sweet, and definitely not worth $14. We watched a man who had called in an order be told that it was not ready yet, and he sat there and waited almost as long as we did. I have no problem spending more money for exceptional food, but this was definitely not worth the hour and a half it took of my time.

The good was ok. Not great. The biggest problem for us was the environment. It feels like the bought every tacky oriental decoration they could find. There are ways of catering to your customer without going overboard on the decor. A facelift is definitely in order.

Great food. Maybe the best I had in Paducah. However, business practices are poor. Hours are not adhered to. Try to go on Sunday and it's hit or miss - even though they have posted hours, if they actually work them is a mystery. Several times we've went and the store has been closed. On top of that, the service is average at best Now, the food --- Bangkok dynamite and Mongolian beef are amazing. However, is the food quality enough to offset bad experiences? Not for me.

I went here with my girlfriend and we had a terrible experience. It was a Saturday night, but it wasn't that busy. Despite that the service was incredibly slow - we order two entrees and waited over an hour for them. They said they were short staffed, but the service was horrendous. I had to flag people down just to get water. I had to take silverware from another table because mine was dirty. My dish was ok - the chicken was a little dry/overcooked. Her food was just bad. Avoid.

Excellent Asian food for western KY! Nice mix of Thai and Asian cuisine. Lettuce wraps are great, the Tum Yum Gai was so-so, but overall all the dishes were pretty good.

Very nice inside. Pleasant music, classy and artistic, and very nice owners and workers. The food is a bit pricier than you'd normally find, but I guess it comes with the territory (Ex: Chicken Pad Thai for $12). Amazing plate-presentation, and probably the best you'll ever see actually. However, the menu was very unique and diverse, but my date and I were somewhat disappointed with the flavor because it wasn't what we traditionally were hoping for. We eat a lot of Asian food, and we were hoping for solid Thai-food, but instead it was more of a mix and the flavors of everything we ate didn't resemble what we'd ever had before. The Pad Thai was quite strange and tasted nothing like Pad Thai, but I do appreciate them being creative and different because I know its a risky thing to do with a genre like Thai food. All-in-all it seems a great place, and one that we'll probably go back to again and try some different things.

I have to say I was very impressed! The Ahi tuna plate was very good, and the ginger wasabi sauce was flavorful but not overpowering. Heartily recommended!

Search for Thai food in Paducah and you won't find Spicy Ginger on Yelp. Put their address in your GPS and it will take you to an empty lot (at least ours did). But keep looking, keep trying and you will find authentic delicious wonderful food prepared with great skill and care in a warm beautiful relaxing space with candlelight and hip music. Put this on the riverfront or closer to the main drag and it would steal the show. We're only passing through but so glad we found in Paducah this gem. We started with the sampler appetizer platter, two each of egg rolls, shrimp and pot stickers served with their own sauces, delicious and fresh. Next I had the Pad Thai, nicely spiced and Maria had the roast duck with asparagus, snow peas and a delicious plum sauce, easily enough for two, we took half home. The service was great, couldn't have been nicer.

SG is a VERY good restaurant in a restaurant-starved community. The menu is diverse and many of the items are distinctly unique compared to similar items I have eaten in other Thai restaurants. For example, the Pad Thai does not remind me of Pad Thai I have had anywhere else. Not saying its not good, just different. The prices a a bit higher than I have paid previously as well, but the service, food presentation and ambiance might justify them. I really enjoyed the Asian Volcano I had last night. My wife enjoyed the Saigon Special, which is an expensive version of Vietnamese Pho soup, but was prepared very well. Malaysian Flat Bread appetizer was excellent. We will come back.

The place is consistently preparing wonderful fresh Asian cuisine. The owners are great people that are always communicating with their customers. It is the best in all of Paducah. Highly recommended! P.S. The lunch bowls with all you can eat soup and salad is a great deal!
