Super fast service at 2:30 on a Thursday. Food was good, got the Cuban and it was tasty. Very full sandwich. Saved half and ate it for dinner. The waffle fries were great.

Pretty good spot for lunch, but I would expect that the evening, bar-hopping group would really like it. Sandwiches and waffle fries were very nice and I love the New Orleans-inspired menu items. I would definitely try again.

Always a great meal at JPs. It's a little loud sometimes and hard to have a conversation but we go back time and time again for the food. Everything is great and the service is superior.
This place is awesome! It seemed pretty casual when I went in. I'm not a fan of TVs on the wall and the place was pretty loud. But, the food is amazing! The 119 BBQ burger was absolutely magical. The crabcakes are all right, though a tad pricey. The cheesecake was great. A highly recommended casual dinner venue. Not the greatest for conversation, but delicious food.

I wanted to give this restaurant a two-star rating, which is a "meh, I've had getter" but I won't simply due to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food I had was definitely a two-star. I had the lamb sliders and only ate one of three sliders. It's extremely possible that I just personally didn't like the taste of the sliders, so that's another reason for the three star, just in case it was just my own personal taste. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, I will give them that. However, next time I am in downtown Paducah, I will probably stick with Max's.

I've been here 3 times, twice for dinner and once for a beer and to listen to some fellow play saxophone. A. If it's nice, eat outside. I love outdoor seating, and their's is comfortable. Often live music out there too. B. Always good drafts! Blue Moon is a standby there, but they often have another keg of something special around. Sometimes a Schafly Special Release, it differs. Always good. C. Food! I went with the Lamb Kebabs once, didn't regret it. Everything was tender and delicious. The next time was just drinks, but recently for my birthday my family came with me. We had a terrible experience the year before on my birthday at a "Brazilian Steakhouse". So this time, I didn't want to be disappointed. Nobody was disappointed. I went with a green chili burger, heard good things about burgers, and I can now verify all of those good things about the burgers. My father however, upon seeing countless orders of lamb sliders walk past our table asked me "what are those little burgers people are ordering?" I tell him they're the lamb sliders, I haven't tried them, but had heard good things about them. So he orders a set of lamb sliders. Let me tell you. This was the tastiest ground meat ever placed in my mouth. Juicy, tons of flavor, with arugula, tomato, and bacon on top. My burger was good, but I was jealous. We all had waffle fries, and nobody had any left over. Because they were also great. The 5th star, is 100% for the lamb slider. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't get them. Unless you're a vegetarian. In which case you're just doing yourself a disservice.

What a simple, delicious menu! While somewhat upscale, there's nothing intimidating about JPs. I've never had lamb before and the lamb sliders were a great introduction! The outside seating is really comfortable. And the staff is very sweet, particularly the bartenders, who are willing to try mixing cocktails they're not familiar with. The restaurant and facilities are always super-clean. This is where we take visiting out-of-town relatives when they come to Paducah!

My wife and I have eaten here several times and we have never been disappointed. The burgers are great. The crab cakes are the best I have ever had. They are covered in a panko breading that makes them perfect. The servers are friendly and they know the menu. The last time we were there we tried the special which was a trout dish. It was a cooked in a lemon butter sauce and topped with crab meat. Unbelievable. You should stop reading this review and go there.

The food is always good and I usually get a great burger. The lamb sliders are fantastic as well. I usually stick with about 4 things off the menu and have never been disappointed. Service is good and the servers are pleasant and friendly. My only warning is to be patient with the food coming out. I think that kitchen is about 50 sq ft because they take a while to get you order out. If you ever come here on a busy night be prepared to wait for your meal after ordering. Then garden stays will in the spring and falls you can usually get a seat inside.

Good food and friendly service. First time in Paducah I visited during a super slow lunch (think I was the only one in the restaurant for a time). On Saturday June 20, 2015 around 1 pm, my boyfriend and I stopped in and decided to dine on the patio. We sat ourselves and our server LeaAnn brought us our menus and took our drink orders. My boyfriend ordered a Goose Island 312 $3.50 which he enjoyed. I had water w/ lemon. For food we ordered the hummus $7.25 and it was quite good- the pita was seasoned nicely and the hummus had a nice kick of garlic. My boyfriend ordered the 119 burger, waffle fries, and ranch dressing. FYI, their ranch is very good!! He liked his burger and fries and said the bbq sauce that comes on the burger had a heavy tomato taste- if that's what you like then you should give it a try. I ordered their grilled chicken sandwich and as my side I went w/ the Greek salad w/o dressing $10.25 and asked for hot sauce on the side. I probably wouldn't order the grilled chicken again b/c it wasn't anything special BUT I did add some of their delicious ranch dressing which gave it a good flavor boost. There was a man on the patio playing the keyboard and singing to the patrons. He was very personable and would come around to everyone's table to chat. Nice place in downtown Paducah to grab a bite to eat.

I was only in town for quilt week, so how much can I know? right?!, but I think this is the BEST place in town. It might not be the fanciest, but the staff management and food are obviously all carefully selected here. The menu is s good mix of light to heavy, appetizers, sandwiches, dishes.... They also have a bar They also have a most pleasant outdoor seating area with both sun, and shade. A really refreshing and relaxing place...I went during quilt week, a time of occasional downtown chaos and mayhem; even then it was really pleasant. These people are not serving nouvelle French but you will find your dish carefully constructed and the food carefully arranged on your plate none the less. professional , clean, tasty, and no matter what your diet is you can figure out something you can eat here (and they will also make substitutions--no wonder the solitary health food store in town pointed me here for clean eating)

Several family members went to JPs for dinner. The waiter attempted to seat 5 of us at a table designed for four at most. Told us the restaurant was very busy. Could sit outside however the temperature was around 90 degrees and we declined. Finally got the waitress to put two tables together so five could be seated. Waitress not the best. Ordered chicken wings and requested celery and dip. Was ad vied the restaurant does not serve celery with chicken wings. The wings came on a platter with nothing else. They were just warm and had been coated with a ton of hot sauce. Another in party had had turkey open face sandwich which had musty smell and taste which apparently came form the mushroom gravy which appeared to be spoiled or very old. Food was some of worst ever had. One had hamburger and the other two, the open beef sandwich. Had to ask for water and tea refill constantly. The food did not sit well with three of us. One of our worst dining experiences ever.

What a great place nestled in downtown Paducah I stopped in here while traveling from Iowa to Nashville with my family and I saw that fellow yelpers really rated this place well and now I can see why. The food was excellent I had a BBQ burger topped with fried onion rings witch was cooked exactly how I ordered it and my mother had a smoked salmon wrap that was also delicious. The one thing I found odd was that there was no beer menu, yet they had great beers I just didn't know what to order it's hard to sell something you can't see on a menu and that's my only complaint but the outdoor seating is a wonderful place to relax and take a load off. If you are looking for a neat place to eat and drink while passing thru Paducah choose this place the ratings tell the truth!

I have been to JP's Bar & Grill a number of times, mostly for drinks and meeting friends, but I have eaten there three or four times, too. In any case, I have no real complaints. The Food: adequate to very good. The first meal I ate there was Chicken Parmesan and it was okay - edible, but nothing special. I have since tried the fried zucchini appetizers (awesome!) and I have tried the hamburgers (excellent). I hear the steak is a good choice, as is the hummus. So, I have no issues with the food, I just won't order Chicken Parmesan again. The Drinks: Fine. I don't recall there being any drink specials, but the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable and the drinks are priced and poured according to expectations. They have a full liquor bar, and some good beer and wine selections, as well. The Venue: I think this is the big draw. The interior is a sort of long and narrow, and cannot really accommodate a ton of people, and the interior bar is very, very small (four or five stools). The walls have local art featured, and there are a few flat screen televisions. This causes me a bit of dissonance, because it is sports bar meets art gallery in a bar and grill setting. I don't know what they are going for, but it seemed a bit odd to me. The real draw is the outdoor - a very large, open patio, with an outdoor bar, fountain, iron fencing and gate, etc. Very nice and feels like you are sitting in an older, downtown beer garden. In colder months, part of it can be enclosed and there are heaters. In warmer months, it is one glorious patio with tables, couch seating, bar stools, and an area for bands to play. The Staff: I've not had a bad experience yet. At times, they can get a bit overwhelmed and you may wait on the check, but my food and drinks have always arrived in a timely fashion. Overall, I will go to JP's for drinks and socializing and to have a meal. However, it is not the first place I would choose downtown to take a group for food. It is one of the first places I would pick for friends and drinks, however.

Steak salad was delicious. A pretty good amount of filet tips on the black and blue salad. The service was prompt, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Good food and friendly service. First time in Paducah I visited during a super slow lunch (think I was the only one in the restaurant for a time). They have a couple taps and other beers in the bottle. Everything I had on the lunch menu was good and staff truly took pride in what they do! Gotta give it up to everyone who can survive the lunch schedule. My meal wasn't especially memorable however the good service certainly was! Approved!

Awesome! Check it out you won't be disappointed! Great food and drinks and awesome atmosphere!

Such a great place. Beautiful night and I ate on the patio. Highly recommend the portabella mushroom sandwich with sautéed asparagus! Wonderful friendly service and nice live music!

Great value and highly recommended. Nice atmosphere on the patio. Jazz music. Fire pit. Lamb sliders on pretzel bun were very good. My friend also enjoyed the Cuban sandwich.

Loved it. Great service. Excellent Cosmo . The atmosphere was friendly, warm and inviting. Not too noisy. Great place for conversation. I had the portabella sandwich with asparagus and my husband had the crab cakes. It was delish!

Great service!!! I had the crab cakes and, for being a land locked state, they were pretty good! Awesome patio and cold beer!

Never disappointed. Very comfortable. Do have the lamb sliders!

Always a great meal at JPs. It's a little loud sometimes and hard to have a conversation but we go back time and time again for the food. Everything is great and the service is superior.
