Always great buffet and service. The manager, Gary, is one of the best managers I have encountered in my dining experiences.

Not a place to feel leisurely if you're by yourself, anyway. Planned to kick back, read news feeds and take a slow, progressive mid day meal, but I kind of got the bum's rush here. Ordered an appetizer, and sandwich with a house salad. When the salad came out fast, and first, I was a little suspicious. Sure enough, my sandwich appeared before I got to my 4th bite of appetizer after that arrived. Whatever happened to the cultural standard of clearing a course before serving the next one? Or at least asking for a preference? I had no part in the decision - clearly this order was punched in a computer, and served as it became available, with no thought given to my interests. The server was almost too attentive, asking me a question each time she breezed by, though barely pausing her pace. That didn't make me feel special either. At one point, I did tell her I was disappointed I had to stop eating my appetizer to enjoy my sandwich before it got cold. She seemed sympathetic, but unwilling to take responsibility for the bad timing. (If it wasn't up to her, who did make the decision to push food on me so quickly?) As I write this, my server is shouting over my shoulder, having a work related conversation with another who is running the electric sweeper near my feet. I know this is a pretty basic, comfort food restaurant, but where are their basic hospitality skills? Service is nominal here - no manners, just efficiency. Food was pretty good. Could have been a lot more enjoyable, though.
