I am very impressed with this Long John Silvers next to Walmart on Frederica Street! First time at this one, as there is another one much closer to where I live, but I will be back! Wonderful crew and food, honest, and generous manager. I ordered the number 2, with the slaw and onion rings. I always check my order before I leave the property, so I pulled over to check it. They had left out the slaw, so I went back around and told them, and they gave me my little sack with the slaw, and apologized several times. I decided to order a small Coke, but the older man with glasses, who I am assuming was the manager, standing behind the young guy that had handled my order, insisted on giving it to me for free since I'd had to pull back around in the rain. When I got home, I discovered they had put TWO slaws in the bag instead of one. So, in short, I got a free extra slaw, and a free Coke, just because I had to pull around a second time. Generous, honest people. Went above and beyond. The Long John Silvers on 4th Street (HW 60 E) , would NEVER do that! The 4th St LJS messes my order up ALL the time, and NEVER tries to make up for it, they never even apologize, they and the one on Parrish Avenue have given me chicken planks the size of a finger and think that qualifies as a whole chicken plank, and their slaw has about 2 spoonfuls of watery, old tasteless cabbage in it, and I can hardly tell it has any slaw sauce at all. They must water it down and are very sparing with it, because it tastes horrible, but it used to be good, I so I don't know WHAT happened to it! Their food usually tastes old, too, like they let it sit way too long. The 4th Street LJS should take lessons from this Frederica St one by Walmart! Excellent slaw, excellent fish and chicken planks, onion rings, hush puppies, and it was all still hot and fresh when I got it home, which was quite a distance! Their management and crew are excellent, the quality of food, the quantity, the value, and I will never forget how they went above and beyond to make up for a simple little mistake! They have a new customer! I will never go to the 4th Street LJS again after going to this one! Five stars! To any manager or employee of ANY business reading this: GO THE EXTRA MILE FOR A GOOD CUSTOMER RETURN AND WORD-OF-MOUTH! IT WONT COST YOU MUCH, AND IT WILL MAKE YOU TONS OF EXTRA MONEY IN THE FUTURE, BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE GAINED A FAITHFUL CUSTOMER, AND THAT CUSTOMER WILL RECOMMEND YOUR BUSINESS TO OTHERS. Its just a good, old-fashioned business practice! Take a lesson!
