Excellent service and portions. Well worth the price.

We stopped in for brunch just to give the place a try. I read good reviews on yelp so thought I would take a chance, and so glad we did! Outstanding breakfast! The food was hot & did not take long to receive. I ordered country fried steak & gravy, scrambled eggs, home fries & toast. Coffee was good too. The only negatives were the dirty menus; creamer in those disposable single serves & no real butter. My toast was already buttered for me so that made up for none on the table. Employees were friendly & helpful. We will return & try some BBQ!

I drive cross-country for a medical transport company. We had a stop in Owensboro and had time to go to Dee's while we had a tire fixed. BLOWN AWAY! The food was outstanding. If I lived there I would be eating at this place every day. Hope to come back through again and get the chance to try more of the menu.

Wow, this was one of the worst meals I've ever had. This service was very good, but she was handicapped with serving lousy food. The BBQ mutton was dry and had minimal BBQ flavor, corn was not sweet and in fact, VERY bland, and the green beans mushy. Whomever makes the sweet tea gets a pat on the back: well done. Honestly, was the cook drunk or hung over? Or are the owners cutting corners? Get your act together quick or you'll be OOB.

We came back again and I wanted to document some updates. First of all, make sure to get the nacho cheese sticks - basically deep fried nacho cheese breaded with crushed tortilla chips. These might be the most innovative thing since text messaging. Second, we tried the breakfast... as appetizers (this group loves to eat) and it was a success. We loved it. I still warn against the chopped mutton [paste], but most of the other BBQ is tasty.

We stopped here for breakfast on the way out of town. We were completely impressed. It is a wonder how this place stays in business, given the low prices and huge portions of their delicious food. For around $8, you can get a coffee, two enormous pancakes, sausage links, thick-cut bacon cooked to a perfect crisp, biscuits and gravy, grits and hashbrowns. And this place doesn't try to pass a pre-cut processed potato product as a hashbrown- they serve the real thing. I give four stars instead of five because, for me, the perfect breakfast includes real cream for the coffee and real butter for the pancakes. This place serves a butter spread and ultra-pasteurized half and half packets. Not at all a big deal or a surprise, however. I should also mention that the service was slow and not as friendly as what is custom in Owensboro. However, the value for the money is excellent and the breakfast is likely the best in town. We will definitely be back to Dee's.
