This place is close to my house, so I thought I'd give it a try. It's been really long since I've are at this chain...and now I know why! I went during lunch, around 12 and it wasn't crowded. Now I know why lol 1. Bread on mini was stale, great considering I took my lunch back to work to eat. So I got hard stale bread. 2. They don't clean off the board after each sandwich gets drenched in oils and vinegars, and I get neither. So my sub had the extra oils, onions, and pickle juice from the sandwich before mine. 3. The guy toppings the sandwich's shuffled the lettuce, onions, and other condiments that fell off the sub before mine back into the containers!! He re used lettuce and stuff! How gross! 4. SLOW service! there was 3 people working behind the counter and it still took forever to get a to go order. HORRIBLE!

Favorite things about Jersey Mike's: - It's 3 minutes from my house - If you sign up on their email list, they send you a free sandwich coupon for your bday and a monthly coupon for free chips & drink with a sub purchase - They also have coupons in the Reach mailer every month - 'Mike's Way' - They have sweet tea Quick friendly service, right off the freeway, online ordering. I'll take Jersey Mike's over Jimmy John's, Subway, Quizno's, etc. any day.

3 stars for the good food and getting the sandwiches out quick. We went today and I got the yummy chipotle cheesesteak sandwich and it was so yummy and warm. The people were really nice, however; the place could have been cleaner. When I went to look for a table they all had crumbs and some even had pieces of food on it. Other than that the place was great and the food was just as good.

To be clear: This review doesn't reflect on the quality of food, but only the lousy service. I love me some Jersey Mike's and have always been a satisfied customer. However, this particular location lacks any sort of urgency to get through a line of customers. If you have time to kill, go to this location. But if you have places to be and people to see-- It may be faster to drive up to Hyde Park and back with your sub. Just sayin....

There aren't too many places to get a fantastic sandwich in cincinnati, but jersey mike's comes close. it's pretty much my standby for a quick saturday afternoon lunch. The thing jm's has over most chain places is that it's pretty fresh. They slice their own produce, roast their own beef, cook the bacon on the griddle and slice the meat for your sandwich right when you order it. The best sandwiches imo are #7 turkey mike's way (thats lettuce, onion, tomato, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar) with bacon, pickle, mayo & honey mustard # 9 club supreme mike's way with mayo, bacon and roasted red pepper sauce #13 italian mike's way with mayo and banana peppers yeah, i used to work here, and the owner is a bastard, but that just goes to show how good this place is that i still eat there.

Jersey Mike's in Newport is a great option for a quick lunch. Everything is made fresh, right in front of you. The food is consistent and the staff is awesome. JM would get 5-stars except for two things: 1) Their parking lot has been a disaster for months. There's tons of construction and you can't get there without driving through flowing water and torn up pavement. This is most likely not their fault, but still dampens the experience. 2) I'm from the East Coast and while this is, by far, the closest to an authentic sub that you can get around here, it's not an A+ sandwich. For example, their capicolla is what we call "hot ham" back east and is nothing like capicolla. Hot ham is just seasoned domestic ham. Capicolla is a cured salumi (cut from the neck of the pig) that is rolled in spices. While JM's subs would be considered mediocre in New Jersey, they're still tops in Cincinnati.
