Decent menu, great salad bar, and well cooked steaks (no problem getting a true medium rare). The service is always good, and the atmosphere is better than the norm for this region. The only complaint would be the dearth of actual Greek menu items. I suppose that is due to the local tastes.

I'm not sure which restaurant the other reviewer went to, but I ate at Majestic Family Restaurant. Let me clarify some of the misconceptions in the last review (personally, I feel that the review might have been concocted by someone that works there, only suggesting steak, which is highly overpriced): 1. There is NO "Southern food" here at ALL! NONE. NADA. ZILCH. ZIP! 2. A Greek oriented restaurant that DOES NOT serve any Greek food Mon. - Thur. SAD. 3. The different eating environments are reminiscent of a buffet...think China or Old Country Buffet. 4. The price: $, should be changed to $$ - with an asterik that reads, "you don't get your bang for the buck." So my bf, his parents, and I walked into this restaurant with high expectations and left extremely disappointed. Three of us ordered the pita wrap, 2 steak 1 chicken, and an order of sauteed mushrooms, baked potato, and wedges. The pita wraps had maybe 2 spoonfuls of chopped/pieced chicken in a large pita. It was dry and TASTELESS! The sauteed mushrooms were pretty good. Every single steak on the menu was overpriced. Perhaps the saddest thing about this restaurant was the lack of care for being a quasi-ethnic place. The food was so mainstream. When in town again this upcoming summer, I will avoid The Majestic. Not because I have any disdain, but because I just want good food, good service, and if I go to a Greek influenced restaurant, well, darn it, I want Greek food! Oh a positive note, the staff was friendly, but we never had the same server twice. The woman that seated us. The woman that brought us beverages. The woman that took our order. And the woman that delivered our food. Phew!

Majestic continues to be my family's favorite place to get a great steak. Seriously, it's heads and tails above an Applebee's or Logan's steak which you have to drive 30 minutes north (or south) to get. They also offer a special "Greek" night a couple times a year which offers a unique experience. I always get phenomenal service and great food. The salad bar is stocked well and offers some delectable dishes. They offer buffets on some evenings and Sundays - which are a good source of good Southern food - but the menu is so much better. Their pizza is a thin style and offers a unique flavor from the norm for fast food pizza. My suggestions: *Steak kabobs, *Steak sandwich, *Potato salad & pasta salad on the salad bar, * Stuffed chicken, oooh and you have to experience their "bacon burger at least once in your life - delicious! They offer different eating environments - a group room, regular seating, sun room, and outdoor eating.

I've been here twice ... the first time I thought well maybe the food sucked by accident, everyone has an off night. Then I went again a few weeks later and it was about the same .. we ordered a pizza that was closer to something that resembled rubber than pizza. The crust was doughy and the cheese was some flavorless goo. We also had a salad that was mainly lettuce with not much else ... needless to say after dropping a bunch of money for poor service and bad food I haven't been back. Granted the place stays busy but I think that's because many of the locals don't know any better and really need to get out more and I say that as a local.
