We love this place! It's such a nice addition to The Summit. The Hibiscus Green Tea is addictive. I love the $1 refillable and reusable travel cups. The chicken roll-ups with the salsa are my husband's favorite. The roasted vegetables are INCREDIBLE. The "Gruben" was so amazing. The bread was delicious and seared perfectly. Love the touch of light slaw on it. We've never had a bad meal, and the kids really enjoy it too! Loved the kids artwork on the walls when we last visited. Keep up the tasty work!

New to town I've been trying the local fare. I wish I could erase this place from memory it was that terrible. The only thing Greek about the salad is the olives. The roll-ups were soggy, poorly flavored, and the meat was dry (steak isn't steak, it's more a shaved processed beef like Arbys) and the chicken was overcooked. The rice pilaf tasted like they took a pound of salt and dumped it onto it. This place is terrible like the Greek banking system. All in all, take a pass if you're even slightly interested. Safer that way and you won't end up wasting something that resembles food.

Man, the food here was either grossly salty, dry or bland. Had the steak roll ups and the quality of meat was subpar, at best. Also had the chicken kabob. Meat was dry and the rice was salty. They may have well just served granulated salt. On a positive note, my bland soup came with Sunshine Krispy Original Saltine crackers which were spectacular. Can't recommend the crackers enough. Everything else, meh.... Excuse me, I've got to drink a couple gallons of water to make up for all the salt I just consumed.

Maybe this place is really inconsistent but it was pretty good when I went. Had a groupon, tried it out for the first time. Plenty of outdoor seating which I like, inside was clean and modern. Service was quick- its that combination of order and pay at the counter and get the food delivered to your table. Self-serve drinks for soda and iced tea. The steak sandwich with portabella mushrooms, feta, grilled onions and tomato on marble rye was really good! Regular loaf of bread sized bread but stuffed full of steak and big chunks of mushrooms. A side of white beans was tasty. My friend's hummus and veggies plate was a large serving and she said it was good. My order of potato salad to-go (in order to make full use of the groupon) was unimpressive-- I like the no-mayo part but it was basically just chunks of red potatoes, no flavor at all. all in all, I thought it was a tasty lunch and no complaints about the food or service. $20.26 + something in the tip jar for 2 entrees with 2 drinks and a to-go side. I took half my sandwich home so the serving sizes were good. 3 stars because it is on the pricey side for lunch fare with minimal table service.

This is our go-to place when we want a reliably delicious and healthy meal. We have tried the shrimp kebabs (my favorite for dinner), steak kebabs (my hubby's favorite... especially the marinade and smashed red potatoes), the steak stack (great lunch), all of the roll-ups, and the greek salad and hummus plate. Everything we have tried has been yummy and satisfying without making us feel guilty. The service is alway efficient and they always get our order correct even with several special requests. We have also gotten take away many times and keep coming back for more. This is by far our favorite option for a quick, healthy, tasty, and affordably priced meal in the area. They are usually very busy for lunch but much slower for dinner. There is a nice little outdoor patio if the weather is nice. Check it out!

I still give this place a solid 3. Although I would like to give a 3.5. We all know by now that Yelp doesn't allow half stars. After being invited back by Zoe's Corporate office for a second try, I decided to get the chicken kabobs based on their personal recommendation. It came with a side of rice and a small Greek salad. I enjoyed it. Nothing to go crazy over but having another meal there made me realize what Zoe's Kitchen is all about. Simple food, fresh ingredients with a simple taste. Don't expect to go here looking for amazing flavors but just the natural flavors of whatever you order. I still stand by my last review that the chicken salad sandwich is way too bland. Other things I noticed on this visit that would enhance the experience is by first fixing the Men's Bathroom door. Not sure why it won't close. Also, it would be nice that when the tables are being cleaned, why not go ahead and wipe down those salad dressing bottles too? Very sticky. I do not want to rewash my hands after just using dressing. The service was exceptional, but after talking with the manager about why I was back, I wouldn't be surprised if she stepped up her game a bit. She was very helpful though and had a really nice aura about her checking on other tables. It's nice to see that in restaurant management. So while I was happier with the food this time, I decided that Zoe's Kitchen is just not for me. While there is quality food, I need a bit more flavor for my taste.

Zoe's Kitchen scores points for having an unusual and somewhat healthy menu. Also, the decor of the restaurant is very hip and fashionable. The food, however, is really blah. I got a new quinoa salad they were advertising. It was cold and fresh, but with very little flavor. I also bought a side dish of roasted fresh veggies. They, too, were bland and were also under-cooked. In addition, they were neither hot nor cold, but rather lukewarm (I'm seeing a theme here...). The teenager who took our order was as blah as the food. No smile, no enthusiasm. When he brought the food to the table he brought the wrong order for my wife. He was, however, appropriately apologetic about it and hurriedly fixed the problem. In short, it was too much money for bland, uninspiring food. If I were with a bunch of people who wanted to eat there, I'd go along without complaint, but I don't see myself returning voluntarily.

Quick, decent food. I like the hummus and my wife loves the white beans. We don't find ourselves up here very often but when we do this is a place we go for a quick bite more often than not.

Great yummy options. The new steak kabobs are awesome! The people there really care about great customer service.

Nothing healthy on this menu. There are few food options around the Summit. I was in a hurry and wanted something healthy. This place appeared to have what I was looking for. Once I saw the menu I realized there was a lot of cheese and carbs involved in most of the items. I went with what seemed like a healthier choice among what was available. I got the spinach roll ups (four in the entree) and the roasted fresh vegetables. After I ordered, I quickly looked online for the nutritional information. I should have done that first. I wouldn't have ordered this. I've read conflicting information about the serving size so I'm not sure if it is for four roll ups or two. However, according to the website there are 410 calories, 55 carbs, a1590 mg's of sodium! Nearly everything on the menu has an entire day's worth of sodium. The roasted vegetables were soaked in oil. I paid almost $8 for the meal so I ate two of the roll-ups and took two bites of the veggies. A Big Mac has less sodium and carbs and only 90 more calories.

Awesome. ..I went there with my wife and 3 teenagers and we loved it...nice decor, comfortable seating, and everything we ordered was amazing. We ordered the Dinner for four with Shish-Kabobs (Shrimp,Chicken and Veggie were the three flavors) all of which were bursting with flavor, it also came with a 2 large bowls of great Greek Salad and a large bowl of one of the best Rice Pilafs I have ever had. My youngest had a children's quesadilla meal. Price came in at $36 and we all were plenty full. We enjoyed it so much we had the same meal as carry out 2 days later.

Good food but a $1.00-$2 too much on most items in my opinion.

THE CUSTOMERS: We had a total of two adults and one child that went to this restaurant on a weekend. THE LOCATION: The location is right off Gene Snyder Fwy at Brownsboro road at the Summit. The location is in the Summit Shopping Center close to Barnes and Noble. FIRST IMPRESSION: Looks very nice from the outside. Looks modern and has a very bright ambiance. THE SELECTION: Had a good selection. The Sandwiches and the "Roll-Ups" seem to dominate a majority of the menu. THE PRICE: The price came out to be $19 for the both of us. That is with one shared drink between my wife and I and nothing for our child (he just ate what we brought him). THE FOOD: The food was really just par to sub-par. We both ordered a different kind of "Roll-Up" (She got the chicken and I got the steak) and ordered the potato salad and the pasta salad. The RollUp's were nothing special at all. They said they have "generous" portions but I believe our ideas of generous are completely different. I believe it would have been "generous" for a toddler but not for an adult male. This seemed like food that would have been easily available in your grocery's freezer section. The potato salad was non-mayo based (which I did like) and the pasta salad was pretty good but that was about it. OVERALL: I think it was overpriced for the quality of food that you get. I believe you are paying more for their cheap looking cafeteria style chairs than the food. Maybe if you like spending money just so you can have that yuppie look of going to a place at the "Summit" then you may like this place. So if you are family looking at this place to eat, I would pass right by this place and go to Five Guys or Qdoba instead. ------------- Reviewer-Type: This may help you on seeing whether or not my review will help you because if we have similar taste, then we may have similar opinions. I am not food yuppie by any means. I am regular guy loving regular food. Among my favorite places to eat are Jimmy Johns, Five Guys burger and fries & Moe's Southwest Grill. My family consist of my wife and two children so I try to find places that aren't too pricey but still offer good food. I don't mind trying new food at new places but hate when I have to review a bad place to eat.

Though I've never been to their downtown location I often saw them on the way home and was interested, but never did. So while out running errands I ran across this location I thought I'd give them a try. Sorry to say, I should've kept going while I was contemplating! The window displayed menu boasts, "Eat smart. Eat fresh," so in my quest in doing so I got a little excited. I ordered a Greek chicken pita w/ a side Greek salad, and a fresh-squeezed limeade. Needless to say the only thing I enjoyed was the limeade! My 'Spidey Senses' were going off left and right telling me they (Zoe's) were completely wrong once I sampled the in-house made hummus. It was a bit grainy and lumpy... But NOOOOOO. Did I listen? NOT! Anyway, bad hummus aside my mouth watered with anticipation only to be sorely disappointed. When I opened my container it looked fresh alright, but the chicken breast was tasteless, tough and cold, and had more grilled onions than meat or anything else for that fact -- far too many, and I love grilled onions! I picked at it and picked at it until I could no longer take it, and then I finally fed it to the dogs. Hmmm, that's exactly how they should market themselves --'Fresh, Smart Dog Food.' For the $11.23 I spent, I could've gone across the parking lot to Q'doba for some 'Fresh and Smart' food for a lot less... And, it would've tasted a whole lot better! I won't be back Zoe.Aside from that, their own manager wasn't even very friendly... taboot!

My husband and I were kind of looking forward to trying Zoe's. I looked up the menu online, and thought the food sounded not only great, but healthy. I'm 29 weeks pregnant, and eating healthy for myself and growing baby is a top priority to me. Last week we finally took the drive all the way up to the Summit to try Zoe's. We live in Hikes Point, So it is really not close! The restaurant looks very nice from the outside, and inside was OK too, except for the HORRIBLY LOUD music. My husband made the comment that he felt like we were at a club, not at a family restaurant. We ordered and took our seat. My husband got the steak wraps, a side of potato salad and a beer, our 3 year old got turkey & cheese sandwiches, and I got shrimp kabobs and a Greek salad, with a side of hummus. I also ordered 3 take home tubs, one each of potato salad, chicken salad, and pasta salad. It took FOREVER for our food to come out, but they were a little busy so we understood, except that they only brought out food for my husband and daughter, and even later brought half of mine and then even later brought the rest, and told us they would bring out the take home tubs before we left. My husband really liked his streak roll ups, but not the potato salad, which I ate and thought it was pretty good. He was really upset when his beer came out and it was warm. Anyone who has drank a warm beer knows how nasty it is! He brought it to the attention of the staff and was told that "They are all like that" so he was stuck with a nasty warm beer. My shrimp kabobs had been grilled for WAY to long, they were not just grilled, but BURNT to the point that the tails crumbled into ash all over my plate when I tried to pull them off and they were chewy. Most of the kabob wasn't even shrimp, but just giant pieces of zucchini, I was disappointed. The rice that came under the kabobs was pretty good though. The Greek salad took up basically the whole plate, I tried it, but didn't really eat it because for one the dressing that came with it was not good, but also because since I have been pregnant, any kind of leafy greens that are not cooked makes me sick, so I just tasted it. My daughter ate hers, but she is only 3, and she will eat just about anything. We had a hard time talking over the really loud music and had to keep yelling even though we were sitting right across from each other. When we were ready to leave, My take home tubs had still not been brought out to me like I was told they would, so I got up and asked where they were. They had forgotten to make them and said they would do it right then, so I stood up front and waited. After a little while an employee handed me a bag and said it was 1 potato salad, 1 pasta salad, and 1 chicken salad. I was just ready to go at the point so I thanked him, took the bag, and left. Once I got home, I saw they had forgot the pasta salad and actually gave me 1 potato and 2 chicken salads, which was disappointing because I really wanted a chance to try all 3. From what I got though, like I said I do like the potato salad, but my husband did not. We both though the chicken salad was plain and had no flavor. In all, we were disappointed with going there.

My experience was good at Zoe's. I had the salmon kabobs and they were pretty tasty. 2 zucchini and salmon roasted kabobs with a salad, hummus, pita bread, and raita. The salmon was well seasoned and cooked nicely. The salad and hummus were just ok. For dessert I had the hand made chocolate cake. It was chewy and very sweet. Nothing spectacular, but satisfying. I will come back to Zoe's and try other kabobs.

This is my favorite light healthy lunch spot. It's close to home for me and is a fast in and out place to visit. The atmosphere is lite and cool, a great place to lunch. My favorite has to be the hummus plate or the kabobs...can't go wrong there! My kids love this place too which is a plus for me, healthy and quick!

  • Pablo R.

As far as a place to go for that "healthy" option this is one of the best. Great place to grab a fairly quick bit to eat and not feel so guilty for going. The only thing about this place that would make me happier is the serving size is small for a guy like me. I tend to eat many calories ( because of my active lifestyle ) so a meal there isn't much for me but could be enough for someone else. Over all this place is great and I like to make this my go to option for lunch when I can sneak away for a while.

The layout of this restaurant and style reminded me a lot of Qdoba. Similar menu layout, beverage choices and seating arrangements. The food was mediocre. I love Mediterranean food, but it was definitely toned down in the flavor category. Especially the hummus and they use the feta sparingly. But if you're looking for a quick and healthy option, this would be one of your best options in the Paddocks.

  • Emily H.

When you're heavy with shopping bags and crave a bite, Zoe's Kitchen can be that Mediterranean saving grace. It covers the middle ground between fast food and more formal dining. You order food at a counter, which they later bring out to you. And the food is so much better than fast food -- plus it's healthy to boot! How often does a quick bite equal nutritious?!? In particular, I've enjoyed the Greek salad, hummus and salad plate and chicken kabobs. But anytime feta cheese is involved I'm usually a happy camper. I'll stop here over getting a hamburger any day.

  • Diane R.

I got the chicken kabob entree. Chicken with rice , pita squares and a Greek salad. It was a large portion but the food was just okay. The chicken was tender but had no flavor. When compared to Shiraz it just doesn't meet up.

ZOE'S HAS WORKED OUT THE KINKS!! YAAAYYYY! OK - So the first time I reviewed I wasn't that impressed. I have eaten here several times since and have had catered meals as well from this location. They just keep getting better! I love the shrimp salad but the Bomb Digity is the flipping ADDICTIVE garlic sauce. I have no idea where they hide it or how they came up with it but OMGoodness!! It is crazy good. I secretly want to hide the bottle and take it home. DO NOT SHARE THIS. It is addictive and if you share it, there will be less for you!! Not a smart move. (Yes, obviously there is some kind of crack or something in this sauce to get me to behave this way!!!) My point is - get the sauce. Put it on all of your food. It doesn't even matter what it is because it is good on all of it; Salad, chicken, shrimp, etc. Alright - I am sorry and will now go on to other food items. I want to let you know that the Power Plate is also fantastic as are all of the kebab items. The steak kebab comes with a special steak sauce which is super yummy (and not the garlic sauce ;) but something different). The rolls are yummy too - especially the spinach one. The Greek salad is still just as good as it was before and always a safe bet. The kids working here also have stepped up their game and put smiles on their faces. Good job Zoe's!

I checked out their menu online and said "let's do it." (which was probably weird since I was traveling alone). I wanted something reasonably priced and in a comfy setting where I wouldn't get strange looks for dining with my Kindle Fire. This was a great score. The food was good. Nothing amazing - although the marinated slaw was a really unique, refreshing twist for a girl who wanted something fairly light and healthy-ish. If there was one near home, I'd probably keep it in my rotation of grab-and-go lunch spots.

I've had both dine-in and carry-out/catering from Zoe's and have been pleased with both dining situations. The place gets crowded for lunch and dinner, and while service remains pretty punctual, it can be difficult to find a table (seat yourself, take a number for your order, they bring the food, they clean up). I haven't tried anything on the menu yet that I haven't liked. Tomato Basil and Chicken Orzo soup are both good, shrimp salad is delicious, and the white beans, potato salad, or slaw are my favorites as far as side dishes go. One year we catered food for the holidays, including the Shrimp Kabobs, Greek Chicken Marinara, and Veggie Pita Pizza. All were delicious.

I think it's only fair I update my review. After leaving an initial two star review for okay service and bland food, I was contacted by Zoe's and asked to try it again and I have. With my latest visit to Zoe's, the service was much better, all of the staff I came in contact were friendly. This time I tried the chicken kabobs, along with limeade and a chocolate chip cookie. The kabobs were just okay and could stand to have more seasoning and the side of rice was good and as with my last review, the limeade and cookie were great. I can't say that Zoe's would be a go-to place for me but I definitely would go back without hesitation if a friend wanted to go.

Cashier was very nice, but after three times of reading it back to her, the order still came out incorrect. Hummus was literally frozen in the middle of the bowl when brought to the table and manager seemed annoyed when approached with concerns.not impressed with the service, or the food.

  • Sara S.

I absolutely love the Greek salad here. With the caramelized onions and grilled chicken no dressing required. I almost asked them to hold the potato salad but I was pleasantly surprised. Fast and friendly service as well. Don't forget to add a chocolate chip cookie. Beer and wine selection too.

I was excited to try Zoe's. I was not able to visit on my last visit to Louisville. I had the Protein Power Plate. Fabulous & healthy. There are no fried foods here. The manager Tabitha answered all my questions, The place was clean & fresh.great alternative. A little pricey but worth it.

The food is great, service is quick and the restaurant was clean. A little pricey though...think Panera Bread.

Zoe's is one of my favorite fast casual spots! My usual order is the Greek Salad with Chicken. If you like salads, this is IT - their potato salad is on bottom, lots of fresh ingredients, and the house dressing is delicious. I've had a few other items too - the chicken roll-ups, pita pizza, kebabs - all very good. My boyfriend loves the steak kebabs, and I can't blame him. The steak is really juicy and flavorful! My other Zoe's obsession is the HUMMUS. Try all of them with the platter, but we routinely bring home a tub of the Basil Pesto Hummus. It tastes so light and fresh - great on cucumbers, pita bread, or anything really. Cute spot, healthier option than most of the nearby restaurants, and delicious!

  • Chip L.

I eat Zoës primarily at catered events; my office uses them frequently, and the food is healthy and has a good selection of the Mediterranean fare; lots of kebabs, hummus, pita, Greek salad... and there's a quinoa salad that is one of my personal favorites. Nothing to complain about, but nothing wildly exciting either. I finally stopped in the restaurant recently and the experience was similar; the kebabs are tasty but not a ton of food, and I ended up settling on the Grüben -- a grilled turkey sandwich with slaw and swiss on rye -- that I'd eat again but wouldn't make a special trip for. All in all it's a nice place if you're in the mood for some simple Mediterranean food which, alas, does not include Macaroni and Cheese.

  • Cassidy P.

I love Mediterranean food and Zoe's is a great choice! The flavors and ingredients are fresh and they have lots of healthy options. I love the Greek chicken pita, and the kebabs (I've had steak and chicken). The Greek salad is also great, and the Zoe's dressing is delicious. Zoe's is locally owned, and every time I've been in I've seen at least one of the owners there behind the counter, or walking around cleaning up and wiping tables. I love to see that the owners care so much to be involved in the little details of their business- definitely gives me the warm fuzzies :). Zoe's also does a wonderful job catering, I've had their catering twice and was impressed both times.

Salad was good. Don't get the Greek Chicken Marinara. Sauce was runny, chicken was over cooked, pasta was bland.
