The best pizza in town. Has been for years. I would rather go to the original one down on Bardstown rd but Goose creek is closer to my house. I like the Veggie and the cheese bread is awesome.

While staying at the HGI outside of Louisville, we ordered delivery from Wicks Pizza. The meatball pizza was incredible! Nice thick crust loaded with pieces of meatballs and covered in cheese. The house salad was huge, loaded with toppings, and was very fresh! Delivery was quick and everything was still hot when it arrived. I love good pizza and Wicks' hit the spot!

After having a taste of this pizza for the third time I can confirm.... this is one the best pizza's around. I've had the meaty wicks specialty pizza and have not been disappointed. There is an amply amount of meat and cheese and the pizza tastes great. For those of you that prefer New York Pizza, this may not be your cup of tea. For those of you that prefer a "thicker" pizza with loads of ingredients (kind of like a Chicago style pizza - thick, not stuffed) this may be the pizza you're looking for. My wife and I are from the Chicago area and we prefer thicker pizzas and Wicks has been the closest to meeting our pie requirements. BTW, every time I have had Wick's it has been delivered or picked up. The pizza held up well during delivery/pick up and was good at home. I can only image how good this pizza would be if I dined in.

I was headed to Goose Creek Diner for grub when the kid saw Wick's. He told me he's 'had a rough day but pizza would make it better.' Sheesh. Guess where we ended up. The good: my bites of the kid's pizza were delicious! The bad: Strange ambiance, like going into a club with the floodlights on. Icky in that we-used-to-promote-heavy-smoking-but-can't-now kind of way. Wobbly table, made worse by my hyper dinner date. Terribly unimaginative house salad (if iceberg lettuce, mushy grow-house tomato and bacon bits represents the basics of your kitchen you're in trouble) and a disappointing Schwanns-esque chicken fingers app. Inattentive server who I suspect wasn't going to be persuaded into interest unless alcohol and a larger tip was involved. Kitchen staff that didn't bother bringing out all of our food 'til I approached the bar looking for it. I even had to ask for my check. The ugly: To top it all off, folks, they had Fox News blaring on every other TV. Who, exactly, do they think their demographic is? I know it's east side and all but there were more tattoos and blue collars in that place than you could shake a stick at. I'll just leave it there. Here's what I'm left with, minus the rant: Why offer an expanded menu when you're really only good at pizza and beer? Why have a 20,000 square foot dining room when you could comfortably fill a corner bar? Wicks east side is overreaching and any bright spots to the experience are completely overshadowed by careless expansion. Nope. Next. Moving on.

The pizza is solid if you like a saucy pie (which I sometimes am in the mood for). Outside of the pizza options, anything else is pretty meh, and the beer choices on draft are limited.

We ordered delivery to our hotel room. They said 45 minutes and they delivered very close to that. Our pepperoni, bacon and sausage pizza was fantastic! Kids had a cheese pizza and cheese stix which they said was good.

two and half stars. Passing through town visiting family. Chose the local option over the chain. Better than chain, but unremarkable pizza. Cheesy and blandish. And no anchovies for whatever reason.

Wick's East End location brings the yummy goodness of their pizza's closer to my house, which means I'll eat there a lot. I normally get the Wick's Meatza. My son likes their spaghetti and meatballs. Wick's is not for the diet-conscious, but well worth the indulgence. One of the best pizzas on the planet.

Having worked in the pizza industry for several years I understand the business and am not one to complain. Wicks has always had consistently good food. I eat lunch at the Highland location a minimum of once or twice a week. I've eaten at the Goosecreek location for well over 15 years. I have a pizza tattoo, pizza is easily 70% of my diet, etc. I have easily spent over $10,000 at Wicks over the years. With that said, they just lost a customer. Maybe it was bad timing, or maybe not, but that's the feeling right now. Showed up at their Goosecreek location around a quarter after 2pm. Sat down in the designated dining room. 2-3 minutes later a server comes out and points out that the dining room is closed, that I would need to go to the bar section. Already perturbed by this (why close part of the restaurant), I walk over to the bar section and sit down. After 10~ minutes no one had checked in with me to take my drink order or even say that they'd be with me soon. Flat. Out. Inexcusable. If I had snuck in and found a place in a quiet corner I could understand being overlooked. But lest we forget, they knew I was there because they made me move in the first place. You'll probably love this place, you'll probably get good service, but it's not for me any more. Consider this a breakup from a love affair that started in the 90's. Spinellis on the other hand was happy to serve me and take my money.

I did want to follow up on my prior review and add that the higher ups at Wicks noticed my poor experience and contacted me in order to make things right. While they were in no way making excuses they did inform me that the location had experienced a power failure shortly before I arrived that knocked all of their POS systems off line causing the staff to resort to writing orders and taking credit card payments the way it was done before technology "simplified" our lives. While it's unlikely I'll ever return to Goose Creek Wicks due to the way this problem was handled that night, reaching out to me did demonstrate that Wicks as a company is concerned with the customer experience and will keep me returning to their other locations. In my opinion Wicks is Louisvilles BEST pizza bar none. The Big Wick is legit...loads of toppings, cheese melted all through, a nice thick crust and sauce is on point. The spicy Thai wings are amazing as well! I have never dined in although I hear it is a great, live, and fun atmosphere...but nothing beats pizza in your pjs!

The company sent us a gift certificate for another try at their pizza. I was not there to enjoy but the consensus was that the second pizza was great. Four stars for good corporate customer service and a good food experience on the second try.

Wick's Pizza varies so wildly, each location around Louisville is as good as entire different business as far as I am concerned. My experiences between stores is either stellar or mediocre. This particular location...lackluster. The quality of the pizza just doesn't wow me, neither does the location, the dining room, the restrooms, or the staff. It's very pricey pizza and it seems the quality of the pizza making process has gone downhill. The last three times I've visited Wick's, everything is thrown together in a sloppy manner (tomatoes and onions ON the crust.) it's a lot easier to remember a bad experience than one that's impressive in some cases, but I've given enough chances for Wick's to redeem themselves. There's too many other pizza places around town to dine to slack on your brand.

Went to wicks and had a great pizza, really nice attentive server, manager Matthew came and checked on us. Added a nice touch to our dinner. This is my favorite location so far. I'm not really one of those people that need food shoved in my mouth the minute I order it, otherwise I'd choose fast food. Took us about 20 minutes to get our pizza. It was delicious, as always. Keep up the good work wicks!

Not super impressed. I went at lunch time (12:20) and it was dead. I mean one other dining customer and a few older gentlemen drinking beer at the bar. I had called ahead and ordered my pizza to go. Even with this few clients, it took 30 minutes to make my ten inch pepperoni pizza. The pizza was pretty good, but I prefer Pizza Hut. On the upside, the staff was very friendly on the phone and in person at the restaurant. I'm very surprised by reviews claiming this was the best pizza in Louisville...

Wick's has been my favorite place for pizza for years. My favorite thing on their menu is the Big Wick, their version of a supreme pizza. I love their particular combination of toppings on this pizza and the amount of toppings is ample. Definitely a knife 'n fork pizza. When it comes to this style of pizza, Wick's is my fav! Their cheese is also really yummy. I'm not totally in love with this Wick's location (none of them beat the original location in the Highlands) but we live closest to this one and will get occasional take out. It's kinda dingy and not a place I'd want to dine it because it completely lacks atmosphere. Today, we had a frustrating experience trying to order online. It took them probably 10 minutes to check is out due to issues with the online coupon and this when we got home with our pizza it was cold. Overall, pizza is excellent but this particular location leaves something to be desired.

Fun location and good happy hour specials until 6 daily which includes appetizers and beer specials. We went during the week and the restaurant was pretty dead, but they offer delivery and is a little busier on the weekends. They also have Keno, which is always fun.

Not awfully impressed - did not have pizza but sampled other menu items. Chef's salad was blah iceberg lettuce and could really use some added greens - Romaine and field greens would be very welcome. Also had the veggy Stromboli and it was marginal OK. Sorry, won't be back for either of these items again.

Their Big Wick pizza is amazing! I would say it's the second best pizza I've ever had and that's saying a lot. I love pizza! Their breadsticks (with or without pepperoni stuffed inside) are also super yummy. I usually having their food delivered to enjoy it at home. That rating would be five stars. I do have to take a deduction of one and a half stars for the actual establishment (I could't give half of a star so I deducted one). It's not much to look at and kind of run down, but it does have that pizza joint feel. I don't mind that. It's also a shame they don't have Wicky Wednesdays anymore. I was told by the bartender it's because the ABC would not allow them to have the all you can drink beer. BUMMER!

Atmosphere: I like this location better than the Highlands location. The dining room is open, and not as dark or loud. Parking is easier in the private lot. Wick's Bacon and Ranch. This location made my favorite Wick's specialty right.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
