I've felt pretty meh about the food I have gotten at Wick's, all locations. I was out at the Middletown location for the Wick's Idol contest. It was busy in the bar area, but for the most part the staff was on the ball. John (pretty sure that was our server/bartender) was great. This location is on par with the other Wick's I have been to. Since it is so far out there, I don't foresee coming back unless something like the Wick's Idol draws my back out there.

This Wick's is not nearly as good as the one on Baxter, but it holds true to the taste and authenticity that you expect from Wicks. The atmosphere and the service are blah, but what we really come for is that pizza pie. Pizza that fills you up and warms your soul. It's hard for me to eat anything else and be satisfied.

Absolutely, without a doubt the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in a restaurant, or, for that matter, any retail location. The staff is rude, condescending, and just plain nasty. Management doesn't seem to care. The only excuse being "we are busy" except basically no one there, parking lot half empty. Any attempt at accommodation other than a hasty "sorry"...nope! Fairly decent pizza, but they have lost a loyal 14 year customer. I'll go to Bearno's from now on.

Decent Pizza. Drink prices aren't bad at all during the week...If you order a reasonable pizza the prices are good, or any time you can get a special, if you are ordering the "big wick" in a 20+ inch pizza you're going to pay for it, but it'll be large enough to fill you up in a piece or two...

They make a good pie! It was Derby weekend and although the restaurant itself was not busy, our waiter said that they were running out to-go and catering orders like crazy. I felt the service was good because they kept us abreast of the situation and checked in with us regularly. We didn't feel like they were ignoring us. Could they have thrown us an app or something? Maybe, but it's all good. We tried their Big Wick Pizza, which essential is a supreme with everything on it. It's loaded with lots of toppings and it will FILL YOU UP! As for the venue, it's a large place with ample TVs. Very casual and a good place for family meal, group gathering, or even a happy hour.

Wick's is Wick's. When I go to Wick's I always order the Spinach Alfredo pizza. It's really the only thing I crave from there. If you like BBQ chicken pizza, you'll probably like it from here too. I do like Wick's crust, but that's fair for any pizza place. All pizza is good, but the crust usually defines how much you like/love the pizza. They have a large menu including pizza(of course), apps, salads, sandwiches, pasta, sweets, & beer. One great thing about Wick's is that each of the 4 locations is a little different. The food isn't different, but the atmosphere is. That brings me to this location. The Middletown location. Out of all their locations, this wouldn't be my first choice. Pint night brought me out to this location. I needed to pick up a Monty Python Holy Grail Chalice that they were selling during pint night. I decided to eat & stick around a while. The chalice is awesome! It was also free upgrade your pizza night. Order a 10 inch? They make it a 12 inch for free! Order a 14 inch? They make is a 16 inch for free! That was a cool little perk. The Spinach Alfredo pizza... always tasty. I decided to order the Wick-a-dilla as an appetizer. It was better than expected but to be almost 8 bucks... a little pricey for a quesadilla. This quesadilla had 2 kinds of cheeses with peppers in it. It tasted more like a quesadilla that I would make at home instead of a greasy fast food quesadilla. This location is perfect to take a little league team or a larger family. It wasn't that busy. Plenty of space indoors & out. The staff was perfect. The music wasn't loud(unlike other Wick's). The TVs were on pick your sport. My only complaint is that I wanted to sit outside but decided against it. While walking to the door, I saw people smoking out on the patio. It wouldn't be so bad, but the smoke was lingering. I have a lot of smoker friends & I love you guys. With that being said, I'd rather smell my food than a smokey haze. Overall it was a decent location. If I lived closer, I'd probably frequent this place for carryout. It's a local place. The pizza is decent, but there are many other great pizza joints in & around the city. The apps, salad, & other food take a back seat to the pizza. I can understand the need to have variety, but the pizza really is the star for Wick's. To out-of-towners: This is a local establishment. If you're looking to seek out a local business that you wouldn't find anywhere else, then you're safe going to Wick's.

Wick's is very much the place you'd take the little league team after a game or you'd go to with your family. I certainly understand the local appeal - the service was great and the pizza wasn't bad. I came here on a recommendation from a native Kentuckian l and ordered a small (10") sausage pizza for myself. It would have been plenty for two people and I ended up taking some home. The pizza itself was VERY cheesy with little sauce. The crust was thick-ish and had that almost partially unbaked feel to it. If you're looking for a place to take the kids with average pizza, you've found it. But if you're looking for a pizza experience, I would probably go elsewhere.

Went there the other nights with a group of friends and we had horrible service. We got there around 7pm and did not leave until after 9pm. We had many different servers bring us drinks (our first round of waters took 15 minutes) and making excuses for why the food was so delayed, eventually our original waitress came up to tell us that "someone else" entered our food to a wrong table and it was going to be delayed even longer. We got those pizzas taken off the bill but never got an apology or our table checked on by any manager or real explanation for what happened. I'm really not sure if there was a manager on duty to be honest. All in all it was a horrible experience and I don't really see myself going back to this wicks anytime soon.

Was very Happy the company was so quick to make what happened to my husband and I right. They investigated the situation and found they had issues with employees. This is an update to my previous review. Within minutes of my last review I was contacted by management. I was very impressed with management's want to rectify my negative experience. I was comped a pizza which I took advantage of yesterday. It was as if it was a completely different place. Had never been to a Wick's pizza, but finally had a chance to try them out. I ordered the Big Wick ... Basically a supreme anywhere else ... And it came out fairly quick. Although I am not a fan of thicker crust pizzas, this was not too thick ... More of a hand-tossed feel. It was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try the thin crust!

Called ahead for a group of 15 for a birthday party. Room was set up when we got there. Manager Knox let me sample a beer or three waiting for guests. We discussed pizza and salad orders for a crowd. Had an excellent dining visit from the start......good pizza, draft was nice and cold, and was really impressed with your plethora of topping choices. My waiter (Mike) was efficient, well versed on your selection of food and drink (even though several of your drafts were out and apparently not ordered from distributor), he exudes a fun, friendly, and homey experience which makes me want to return. Other then the missing drafts that were still displayed on the wall, the phone is WAY to loud for carry-out/delivery orders and rang longer then it should have more then once. It's distracting and seems unnecessary to be SO loud when someone's standing right next to it. 06/18/15

Went to wicks and had a great pizza, really nice attentive server, manager Matthew came and checked on us. Added a nice touch to our dinner. This is my favorite location so far. I'm not really one of those people that need food shoved in my mouth the minute I order it, otherwise I'd choose fast food. Took us about 20 minutes to get our pizza. It was delicious, as always. Keep up the good work wicks!

I used to enjoy coming here. The last two times the pizza was just average (it used to be very good). Most recently, I ordered carry out and arrived 30 minutes after I placed the order, and was told that it was in the oven and would be another 5-10 minutes. 15 minutes later I was told that it was in the oven and would be another 5 minutes. A few minutes later someone looked under the counter and found my order. At that point it had been there at least 20 minutes. I opted for a refund and grabbed a burger on the way home. At least it was hot.

Average pizza I would compare to pizza found in the frozen food section at the grocery. This is thick crust reminds me somewhat of Chicago or Detroit style. The kitchen was very slow, the breadsticks came when the pizza should have come out, but it was 20min behind them. The price was good and compared to delivery.

In past visits to Wicks, I would have given them a higher rating. This is the first time I have been disappointed in the pizza. The crust was good; ingredients were good, including lots of cheese. The problem was the sauce. First of all, there was too much of it. Blobs of sauce. Secondly, the sauce was more like right from the can tomato paste. Very thick and no seasonings as you would expect with a well made pizza sauce. It will be hard for me to return since there are so many places in Louisville that do pizza sauce better. Service was great.

This was our first time eating at Wicks. The saving grace for this particular visit was by far our server. He was nice, fast with refills, apologetic for the late food. We lucked out by ordering a pizza stick (aka calzone) for an appetizer. It came out very quickly and was pretty good and kept us from starving. We waited for over 45 minutes for the pizza. Having just moved to Louisville, my husband and I have been on a quest to find the perfect thin crust pizza. Sadly, Wick's isn't it. I called at 8:15 p.m. on a Saturday night, gave my name and our address, paid over the phone and was told it would be 45 minutes. I called after an hour and was told the driver had two other pizzas to deliver so should be here any moment. Half an hour later I happened to see her drive by. Twice. I called Wick's again and asked the girl who answered to call the driver and tell her I'd be outside. The driver finally arrived. As it turns out, not only did the order taker get our address wrong, she got our name wrong, as well. Seriously? I spelled it for her. I repeated our address at least three times. Our plain cheese pizza had more cheese than I'd ever seen. We like cheese, but this was way, way too much. The crust was fine, but the edges were hard as a rock. All in all, this is our first and last order with Wick's. Their pizza was only okay (and over-priced by about $5) and, although the delivery person was very nice and apologetic, the order staff's service was horrible. The quest continues.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Terrible service and pricey. Our waiter actually told us to not expect quality service "because we have a party going on". We never saw any party goers and the service was indeed bad.

YUMMMMMMM! Love this pizza, and great place for the kids, let them run around in the game room.

I think it's somewhat over-rated. I've had good and so-so pizzas. Not cheap.
