This place is so good! I come here every Monday to eat sushi! They have good service and great food. It's better then a lot of places. I recommend going here.

I drive by ToGo Sushi ALL the time but was always hesitant to try it in fear of getting "Kroger sushi". Boy was I wrong! I'm so glad I stopped by tonight on a whim. I only ordered the gyoza and an avocado roll but both were super yummy. My roll had a ton of avocado inside which made me happy. The gyoza was cooked perfectly! I also loved how they gave me a heap of ginger. Nothing better than an avocado roll topped with fresh ginger dipped in spicy wasabi soy sauce. My fav!! :) My meal was only $9. Now that's what I call awesome! The service was fast and friendly. I hit the drive-thru which was even more convenient. I seriously can't wait to go back!

I was excited as soon as I saw that To Go Sushi was opening... Now its a (bi)weekly staple! My first few visits, I ate in the restaurant (They have seating areas, as well as the drive thru) just to get a feel for what they had available. I have never been disappointed! The servers are super friendly (and the sushi chefs are really nice as well). Whenever I bring my boys, they give the kids these little chop stick holders and are very accommodating. Now to the food: My favorite rolls are the Louisville Roll (a spicy crab roll, with lightly charred raw salmon on top), Yellow Tail Roll (Simple Yellow tail Maki roll, with green onion inside; I've ordered this with yellow tail on top too "Yellow Tail Nigiri Roll" even though its not on the menu.) Sunrise Roll (Spicy Crab Roll with Yellow tail on top), Salmon Nigiri Roll (raw salmon maki roll with raw salmon on top.) I also recommend their Soft Shell Crab & Shumai. I have yet to try anything I've disliked, it really is quite the hidden gem. Above all, I think their fish to rice ratio is great. You get so much for what you pay for!

So You are thinking, how could a drive through sushi restaurant be good right? I did and was shocked at how tasty this place is. I called in a order for carryout and when I arrived everything was perfect! We had spicy tuna, salads and avocado rolls. Everything was made with care and was very tasty. One shortcoming is they do not serve sashimi style but there are lots of other options. Prices were reasonable and we will be back.

It has a drive through! This sushi place took over an ice cream shop! So its basically an order and go. I was so curious I told my hair stylist about it. I have to admit. I love the drive thru idea. My 11 month old was sound asleep so it was really handy. BUT they only had their most expensive items on the drive thru board. I got one roll and pulled up. They were quick and nice. They gave me a menu for next time. The roll was really good so ill probably try it again WIth the menu.

I think if the owner had chosen a different name for the resturant, there would be more customers. The sushi was great (very similiar to oishii sushi) NO KIDDING. The price is decent but not cheap. They have a happy roll for 5.99 as well as free miso soup with purchase of rolls. I did the drive through experiences and it was not that bad. If you are short like me... you will have trouble grabbing the food. Maybe next time before going to the mall, I'll dine in and try the rest! I love how its very close to the mall.

I have to admit I was a little scared of this place when it first opened. I hardly ever saw a car there and the one thing you certainly want fresh is sushi. One day I decided to be brave and try it and now I am so glad I did. It is now my regular Monday stop on the way home from my daughter's piano lesson. I order an avocado roll for my daughter and a Spicy Crunch Munch Roll (hold the crab) for me. The Spicy Crunch Munch rolls are ginormous and I usually can't finish the entire roll. The flavor is excellent and everything is super fresh. I love that they give you a ton of fresh ginger. At $8.99, this roll is a great value compared to other places. Also, they give you a free miso soup. I hope more folks take the plunge and try this place so it stays open. I also have to add how friendly the lady is at the cashier window. She always has a smile on her face and is very helpful.

I can only say great things about this place. One of the best places for sushi in Louisville. It's rolled perfectly and they're generous with how much fish they give you! Love the free miso soup! The miso soup at most places are so bland but not this place! After you eat you also get 4 pieces of an orange! Perfect way to end a meal. The service is always polite and efficient. Try the Louisville Roll!

Got the Hawaiian Roll and Happy Roll with salmon. The happy roll is the house special for $5.99. You get a choice between crab, salmon and yellow fin. The salmon in it was awesome. The Hawaiian roll was spectacular. I love this place it is convenient, quick and really really good. Glad I finally tried it and I will definately be back. Some of the best ever.

I did not know a place like this existed in Louisville. I saw this place while at a work training. I'm a sucker for sushi, and therefore I had to try it. I ordered edamame, crunch munch, spider, spicy tuna, and crazy rolls to go for $40. When I returned home to consume my chow, the edamame was crispy and not soggy. The sushi rolls were fresh and tasty, even the soft shell crab still had crunch to it. However, this place only got four stars because I thought they were supposed to give miso soup with every roll order based on other reviews. I did not receive any with mine. Maybe they only give that to dine-in customers. Overall, nice staff, quick, and good sushi!!!

Very mediocre sushi--hope you like spicy crab because it is an ingredient in almost every roll. Not sure how qualify the fish is and the inside dining has a very strong smell (of fish, of course). Miso soup is free with purchase of certain rolls, and there is a "house special" roll for only $5.99 that alone could certainly fill you up. Decent service and the rolls came out very quickly! They also give you a cute little orange for a nice treat after your meal. Would probably not return, but it's worth a try if you want cheaper, fast sushi.

A drive-through sushi restaurant? That actually has good sushi? I had to check this out! And I was pleasantly surprised. Now, a quick disclaimer: I love me some sushi, but I am by no means a sushi expert. I just know what I like and what I don't like. Like: shrimp, crab, roe, avocado, rolls that are tempura fried or have a special flair. Don't like: tuna, eel, salmon, rolls that don't hold their shape, seaweed that is tough and stringy to bite through and weird veggies in rolls, like asparagus. I wish I could say that I like the rawest, most unusual bits of protein in my rolls, but my sushi preferences are pretty basic. But based on my tastes, ToGo Sushi's sushi is above average. First off, you pull up to the drive through, which has a menu board that shows the names and pictures of the rolls. And if you want descriptions of the rolls, paper menus are available in a box next to the menu board. I wish I would have consulted one of the more in-depth menus, but I went off of the pictures and chose a Crunch Munch Roll and a Louisville Roll. The Crunch Munch Roll was fabulous. It had spicy crab on the inside with shrimp, mayo, eel sauce and crunch on the top. The "crunch" was spread on top like snow. it was all over the rolls, but oh so good. I'm definitely going to order this again. And this roll -- and the Louisville Roll -- are large, bigger than most other rolls I've had. The Louisville Roll had spicy crab and avocado inside with seared salmon and eel sauce on the top. I was drawn to this roll by the spicy crab, but had I know that this roll included salmon I would have likely gotten something else. The pieces of salmon were very large and seared evenly -- just not my thing. Also good to know is that you can get free miso soup, and the rolls are packaged in a way that make them easy to transport. Each roll was wrapped with plastic wrap in a styrofoam container, with a small, resealable container of soy sauce inside. I was through the drive-through in 10 minutes or so. And if you're coming down the Watterson, it's easy to get off at Westport Road, swing through the drive-through and get back on the interstate at Shelbyville Road, or visa versa. And if ToGo Sushi is ever looking for a second location, please, please, please consider the Highlands. I would love to have more take-out options besides fast food in my part of town. At least this "fast food" would be handmade and delicious rolls of sushi. All in all, this is a one-of-a-kind fast food treat that stands above the rest.

Wanted something light for lunch and happened upon this place while driving aimlessly around a town I know nothing about. Pretty lucky I guess. I'm used to drive-thru sushi and hibachi spots from Orlando, but this is the first one here in Louisville that I've visited. They did not disappoint! Service was fast, ingredients were fresh, and the food was tasty. I got a fried roll and a raw roll to have both experiences and it was well worth it. The raw roll was definitely my favorite! The location is a drive-thru but you can also call in your order for take out. They also have a few two table setups for a quick bite. Overall, this was a cool place. I would definitely go back. Interestingly enough, you're looking at regular dine-in prices. I didn't see any specials listed, but I was moving pretty quickly. Still worth the drive thru though!

I have driven by this place several times and always wondered about it so when I saw the yelp reviews I had to give it a try. I for the crunch munch roll and it is pretty tasty. I didn't wait in my car very long but the sushi tastes very fresh. They packed it up all nice too! Will definitely be back.

If you like Oishii Sushi on Taylorsville Rd chances are you will like its doppelganger, To Go Sushi. Everything is eerily similar, from the menu design, sushi, names and pricing. For example the Cardinal Roll at Oishii is now renamed Louisville roll at To Go, seared salmon on top and everything else identical. My theory is the current chef/owner probably worked at Oishii at one point. I like the sushi, large rolls for decent prices and taste great. Most of the rolls are cooked and great for beginners to sushi. Each roll comes with free miso soup and free orange slices for dessert. Its a small place with two tables, bar area and around 12 chairs or so. They also have a drive through for quick service. So if you live closer to this area of town, head here instead of Oishii. You get the same thing, just less crowded.

For a small to go sushi place it's really really good! The staff is super friendly. The rolls are delicious and really inexpensive. We will be coming here more often even though we are 45 min away.

Sorry, but not a good experience. A rare Yelp let down while we were traveling through. I'll break down the rating on my order to provide some clarification: Service: 3 stars. Fairly quick, not too friendly or unfriendly. It's basically take out, which is nice but average overall Food: went with a very typical order for myself of spicy tuna rolls and shrimp tempura roll. Boring but usually fits the bill, especially if I am unsure of a place. Now it would seem that a typically shrimp tempura roll was not on their menu - or at least that is what the woman taking our order seemed to imply and directed us to a fried shrimp roll. This was more than semantics because it was completely different. I noticed that on the non-traditional rolls there was a tremendous amount of sauce, both on and in the rolls. Big turn off - maybe a local preference? In the end, we had to toss the two shrimp rolls. Spicy tuna roll was fine and hit the spot. But 50% of the rolls were trashed. 3 stars on the spicy tuna, 0 on the two shrimp rolls. I have to think there are better spots in the area.

Fresh Salmon and Hamachi sashimi. Salmon roe mixed with steamed rice. Holy freakin fish god. Greeted warmly by the hard working chefs and staff upon entry.

This place is a recent opener. It took the place of an old sonic. The sushi is very reasonably priced, lower than most sushi places. Inside is a sushi bar area and just a few tables. The people who work there have always been pleasant when I've stopped in and very quick at making sushi rolls. The sushi is fresh and flavorful. The miso soup is great. The fare doesn't taste like anything "to go" at all. The only problem I have had thus far is figuring out when they are open! It seems the hours are stilted-- you may want to call ahead.

Great lunch experience dining-in! I ordered edamame, the green city roll and one of the daily specials as well. The special rolls were huge- 8-9 large pieces. My lunch partner and I *almost* couldn't finish them. The ingredients were fresh and the prices more than fair. Great "fast-casual" sushi concept. We will definitely be back.

We have had numerous great experiences with the food and service from ToGo Sushi! Every time we order the sushi whether it be eat in or to go it is always fresh and very tasty. They have various options to choose from and you get a free soup when you order from the specialty sushi menu. I would recommend ToGo Sushi to anyone that would like a wonderful sushi experience!!

I will be surprised if this place lasts. First off, the food is not bad, but it's not fantastic either. The price sucks though. They're trying to make it a "fast food" sushi place with restaurant prices. Doesn't fly with me. Sorry. I was not impressed with the food, as it tasted like sushi I could get from Kroger but double the price. And I actually like Kroger sushi. I think I would come here more often if they lowered the price. I just don't want to spend $20 for 2 rolls when I can go to ginza to have 3 roll lunch special for $11.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how very good Togo Sushi is. The portions are very generous and the fish quality is outstanding. You are probably thinking along the same lines I was thinking: drive thru sushi just can't be good. Well, you're as wrong as I was. First, you can dine in and sit down and watch them make awesome sushi fresh and delicious right before your doubting eyes. Second, their sushi and ingredients were fresh. So drive thru or dine in. The prices are very fair.

This place just opened in the old Bruster's location. They have a drive thru, or you can go in for takeout. There are also a couple of small tables and a few bar-style seats. The prices are comparable to other sushi places (around $7 for an Alaska roll, $11 for a rainbow roll), but the fish is good quality and fresh, and you get nice big chunks in each roll. I'm glad to finally have a sushi place near work - and I'm hoping they start offering lunch specials!

Very fast, clean and delicious food. The food tasted fresh and had great presentation. I thought the prices were fair at around $5-$12 per roll. I would definitely go back!

Drove past this place too many times in the last couple of weeks so I decided to finally stop and try. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and quality of the sushi. Excellent! Large portions well worth the price. Probably the only place my husband and I can get 2 orders of miso soup, salad with the addictive ginger dressing, and sushi rolls (Louisville Roll and Spicy Crunch) all for $28.

So does the name conjure up images of the sushi that you would find at Krogers. Well throw those ideas out of your head because this place is anything but that. This is good hand-made sushi done at To Go speeds. The menu isn't too large, but contains a nice number of specialty, regular, deep fried, and vegetarian rolls along with a nice appetizer menu. We were fairly hungry so we decided to get three specialty rolls and a couple salads. Big mistake. The rolls are huge and stuffed full of deliciousness. I have a fairly healthy appetite, but I would have been happy with just one roll and a salad. We tried the Crunch Munch, Lexington, and the Fruit Roll. All of the rolls were good, well made, and had quality ingredients. We would definitely would order them again. The star of the show was the fruit roll. I know that sounds odd, but hear me out. It tastes like a fried banana with a nice subtle savory flavor on the back end. From start to finish we were in and out in about 40 mins, not much more time than you would spend at a fast casual place. ToGo Sushi also offers a drive-thru and call-in. If you're in a hurry and have a hankering for some sushi this is your place.

This place had only been opened for a couple of weeks & I have developed an addiction! Their salmon roll was fresh & delicious. My friends all got specialty rolls, & the pieces were I-need-a-fork-large. I, personally prefer to have a piece only big enough to eat in one bite (like my salmon roll), but if you're looking for value for your dollar, you get a lot of food. The Hot Girl Roll was also yummy. I had a bite of my friend's gross & that too, was fantastic! The real star of this sushi place it's the fruit roll. On the inside it's avocado & fried banana. It's topped with thin slices of strawberry, mango & a little sprinkling of nuts. I'm not sure what's in the sauce served under the roll, but it's delicious & not cloyingly sweet. They have a small but pleasant dining room & also a drive-thru. The service was efficient & polite. One of the chefs smiled & chuckled to see my friend walk in for the 4th time in one week! Apparently, you can call ahead an order too.

Seriously. Go. Now. Keep this place around, rolls are huge, tons of fresh fantastic fish, awesome service and it's the fastest sushi you've had in this town! GO!
