This property has changed ownership something like 1,000 times. It has been the Kitchen for several years now, though. I'm pretty confident it's going to remain. And I hope it does. The Kitchen has really delicious breakfast food. It is just about what you hope it would be - it tastes like your mom's breakfast. Which is great. So yeah. For breakfast, it's tough to beat. And they sell the entire menu all day. All of the food is standard "country" type food. Everything is fried. Which is fine. These things have their place. Good comfort food is tough to beat. It's not worth driving across town to visit, but pop in if you're in the area.

Good was great very fresh!!! I didn't have to wait long for service or good. The skillet was great French toast just okay nothing to write home about. I would like to come back for lunch or dinner. Waitress ok but not very friendly.

Best food and best waitresses in town. Love the location!! My daughter and I go there for breakfast always when she's in town. I love the buffalo wings!

A true non-chain country kitchen, a big barn-like structure adorned in UofL and UK banners. My only visit to date was a 30-minute breakfast, so factor that into what I say here. Still, I can offer up some positives: * The restaurant sits right on a great stretch of the Louisville Loop, our metro government's star attraction for cycling, and it's open pretty much all day every day starting at 7am. They installed two bike racks right in front. So consider this a great high-calorie oasis on your ride. * Breakfast items available anytime. Not enough places go that route. * I think they will put cheese or bacon or gravy on just about any menu item. Or all three. I think if you ask them to put cheese in your gravy, they would make that happen. Classic American fare, and the menu is massive. Burgers, wings, sandwiches, several items that are "country fried". Steak, fish, pie. Elvis Pancakes. Several salads, all containing meat. All prices are very reasonable. Live music on weekends.

The food is always cooked to perfection and has a real homey feel that you don't get in a lot of restaurants.
