This place can be summed up in one word: Awesome. The food is always marvelous. The staff always top-notch. Everyone needs to start with a guacamole appetizer. And take of the granny panties and load some spice in there. Life's too short to not let your mouth burn every once in a while. Grab some empanadas, too. And, a meal should never be started without an order of Bloody Mary Shooters. If you don't like them, give me a call and I'll run right up and suck yours down for you. For a light meal, go for the seviche tasting. It has never failed me, and will leave plenty of room for desert, which I will get to later. Now, I've had just about everything on the regular menu, and thrown in several specials here and there, so I can honestly say that no choice is a bad choice. That said, the Churrascos De Argentina is my go-to when I cannot decide. For the fish taco fans, the Mahi Mahi Tacos are good. Just remember, there is no such thing as "just one mahi" when you're not very hungry. Topping off my favorite list is the bass and crab "cigar", and the Fideo. Desserts...yum. The Avocado is much more delicious than one may suspect. Seriously...avocado ice cream is quite delicious. Or, you can go with the Apple Bread Pudding, which really hits the spot on a cold, winter night. I would talk about drinks, but then this review would go way to long, so I will just make one excellent suggestion. The Caipirinha. For correct pronunciation, Google it. Just a hint to Chef Anthony Lamas...crank the music down when it gets busy. It's not a club, and louder music only contributed to louder people.

personally I find this restaurant pretentious and overrated. I think they're much better options in the city for excellent food.

Fresh, crisp, and distinct flavors a in the ceviche. Their tuna on the specials menu was fantastic. They keep tuna as a standby, but mix it up according to the season. It was definitely a summer dish, seared with soba noodles and a Thai-style accompaniment. The grilled peppers kept it from being too bland. Overall, this place is an eating experience worth having.
I ordered a mojito for a drink and it was fresh, light and tasty. The appetizer I ordered was guacamole and chips. The chips were large more like 6 inches round and a bit too large. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos and they did not disappoint. Tip: Order the guacamole spicy. It gives it just the right kick.

I went to a baby shower here and they did a PHENOMENAL job!! Everything was so classy and the servers were amazing. Not to mention the brunch buffet was to die for.
I haven't had food yet but the hostess already ruined my dinner.... This was meant to be a 1 star review but the food is redeaming if it wasn't for the abnoctius hostess this would be a 5 stars review.

In my humble opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in Louisville. We arrived early and enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar. This is a treat that I wish we did more often. We waited an extra long time past our reservation in order to secure a patio table because the evening was perfect and we wanted to enjoy it. Upon seating, we ordered the 3 seviche tasting and a glass of wine. I had to go find my socks because after trying the sampling, it knocked them both across the street. ;). It is a can't miss. As a main, I ordered the scallops and they were absolute perfection. Cooked perfectly, buttery and melted in my mouth with waves of complexity. (get that? waves... scallops...) Based on the meal, we couldn't leave without trying a dessert and oh my they had a peach cobbler. Again, at the risk of repeating myself, it was perfection in a skillet. I will return to this place again and again. Thank you Anthony Lamas.

I took my girlfriend here tonight for our anniversary, and it did not disappoint. We got the duck nachos which were the apptizer special. They were amazing. I got the swordfish and she had the scallops (both were excellent). As soon as I saw the pimpkin bread pudding, I knew that would be the closer. They also have a great beer and cocktail selection (Port of Envy was really tasty). While somewhat pricey, we didn't break the bank. The staff and service were also top notch.

I had written a cursory review because I have been here so often, but I realized, as it is my favorite restaurant in Louisville, I owed it as much time and effort as I do to bad reviews... I am a foodie and I love this place I just can't begin to tell you how much I love this place, but I will try: Appetizers: First of all, the mussels are fantastic - absolutely the best I have ever had, the chef takes pride in them and it shows. Never the small stringy mussels, always big and meaty and perfect. The ginger and cilantro broth is so very nice, so different from the creamy or garlic white wine sauce so many other use and if they have the yellow curry special, you MUST try it. The guacamole is the very best in Louisville. I can't stress you what a guac snob I am and this is always fantastic and the chips are so different. They mix it table side and you get to pic how spicy it is.. I like it on a 7 or 8 out of 10, so they put in 75% of the jalapeño jam, but they leave the rest so you can add spice to it if you want more. The bison empanadas are fantastic as well - do not pass on them if you like empanadas at all - they are light and warm and spicy and the sauce is fantastic. Two best entrees: Churrasco steak is fantastic - I know, I know, it's skirt steak, but trust me - it's so tender and the potatoes are the perfect compliment (as is a nice glass of cabernet). Secondly, the fish tacos are a huge portion and the mahi is so flaky and light. If it was my last night in Louisville, this is the meal I would have! PS - the avocado dessert only looks like an avocado, it's really avocado ice cream frozen in nitrogen in a dark chocolate shell with a bourbon chocolate truffle for a pit - I don't like desserts - I love this one.

Our favorite place in Louisville. Service is always great and you can't beat the atmosphere in that area of the highlands. The menu changes on occasion but is always tasty. Before I was vegetarian, I considered this place to have (surprisingly) the best steak in town (after having been to all of the steak houses on Louisville - yes, all of them). They don't have my previously favorite dish anymore, the Muggs Bistec- but maybe they will make it for you if they have the goods when you are there. Now I always get the same thing and it just keeps getting better and better: guacamole(best in town), roasted shishito peppers, roasted vegetable chimichanga, and a couple of mojitos. Can't go wrong.

ive not had better tasting fish anywhere else. its incredible. while anthony llamas is sort of a cheeseball and self-promoter, this place is incredible. ive enjoyed many great meals here and even had my rehearsal dinner in the private rooms when i got married. okay PROTIP: get the Moqueca. It is rarely on the menu but they will ask the kitchen if they can put it together. its a delicious coconut curry type broth with more delicious types of seafood than i could imagine. when we visited last, the entire party of four ordered the moqueca...a couple of us took home what we could finish..

Really good food, great service! The Tres Leches dessert is a must! I used to eat this when i was younger and had never found a place that made it as authentic and true to the real thing as Seviche did.

My fiance and I came here on the night we got engaged, and it was absolutely lovely. We started the night with the pork belly, which was wonderfully tender and a perfect balance of sweet and salty. For our entrees, I had the swordfish, and he one of the chicken dishes. My fish was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The rice it came with was simple, but tasty, and I really enjoyed the rainbow carrots in it. The orange sauce on the side was delicious and tied everything together wonderfully. He really enjoyed his chicken and rice as well. The chicken was extremely juicy, and he really enjoyed the green sauce. For dessert, we got the cuban coffee brownie and the Avacado. The avacado icecream was absolutely divine, and paired flawlessly with the rich chocolate and dulce de leche, and the rasberries added an extra level of freshness. My fiance skeptical about it, yet by the end of the plate I was having to fight him for the last bite. I'm far more conflicted about the cuban coffee brownie. While it was quite yummy, the portion was tiny, 5 or 6 bites total, and it was really disappointing. I didn't feel the portion was acceptable, considering what we payed for it. But overall, it was a wonderful experience, with great food, a beautiful environment, and good service.

Despite a very loud noise level on a Friday night (well what do I expect?!) this place had amazing ceviche. It's on the pricier side considering the amount of food you get but Jesus God it was delicious. So delicious.

This is one of my favorite upscale restaurants in Louisville. Their calamari appetizer is delicious, and I always make sure to order it when I go there. The ceviches and many of their other dishes are non-traditional and fusion-y, so if you expect the dishes you've encountered in Peru, Mexico, or other parts of Latin-American, you will be disappointed. However, if you see this as an opportunity to try out some Latin-inspired gourmet dishes from an inventive and talented chef, you will be extremely pleased. I know I always am!

Where do I start with this place?? The food is absolutely fabulous. I was recently in town for Derby and went the night after Oaks by myself. I quickly found a seat at the bar and orderd the Churrascos as that is my favorite! The meal was heaven in my mouth and the chimmichurri sauce, Mmmmmmm. I was a little sticker shocked when I got the bill as I did not get a menu as I've been here before and knew what I wanted. They have different menus for Derby weekend and their entrees are more. Usually the Churrascos dinner is $33 and for Derby weekend it was $37. Regardless, I can't complain because I'm from out of town and the meal totally met my expectations. Great service from the host and hostess to the servers behind the bar. This place is a must go to place in Louisville!

Given Anthony Lamas' recent press, I figured I'd throw a few stars at one of his signature establishments. Seviche was just about everything I'd expected and more. As I'm not rolling in the dough, I opted to keep my menu sampling light and to the point. Beginning with the guacamole... holy shit-balls. If you have the option to do one thing before you die, resist the urge to tell your family that you love them, because life without this guacamole is simply not complete. It was light, fresh and perfectly spiced. Unlike many guac's, I didn't forget that i was actually eating something derived from an avocado. Mind. Blown. Moving on to my main course, I went for the CHURRASCOS DE ARGENTINA (spelled in caps because of the verbal passion required for proper pronunciation.) If there is a god... I have tasted his meat. It was flavorful, tender and seared to perfection. Lamas' signature chimichurri needs a review to itself. Within the context of it's presentation, this is without a doubt one of the best latin-inspired preparations I've ever had the pleasure of sampling... and I've lived in SoCal for the last seven years. Who'd a thunk? The service was impeccable and the setting beautiful. One visit and you'll understand the reason behind the success of this Louisville icon.

I've written about the food previously, which is a foodies dream. But today I am on their lovely patio, people watching. We've had a jogger lay face down on the sidewalk by our table and an Alice Cooper looking fellow in black combat boots with a snake around his neck pass by. Great food and great people watching!

If you are ready to spend the money the food is worth it. I sit at the bar alone, been there three times, each time the service is at best mediocre. I expect more from a place with pricing levels they have. Manager walks around prideful, but talks mostly to staff as opposed to guests. Bartenders every time I have been there, are slow to welcome, slow to notice an empty drink and a finished plate.

THE BEST MEAL I HAVE HAD IN LOUISVILLE. Delicious, well executed. Guac wasn't that great though...tasted like they use those cryovac avocados. They didn't have that buttery taste. Had the scallops; better than anything I ever had in Newport, RI. Well, maybe Providence, RI. You must try!!

Cocktails: very good and original list, well made. Appetizers: very good seviche, and even better appetizers, the best calamari in town, also great Brie and Bison empanadas. Main dish: although everything is great, I recommend the Churascos de Argentina, which is very good and unique to town. Service is nice and quick, fun and lively for a date, a group or even just to grab a drink.

finally got around to writing a review about this restaurant and the experience that will be seared into my memory for years to come. (I just saw the review by Vince from 8/14/2012 and realize that my experience with a confrontational chef cooking latin food in kentucky must be a fairly common one... Let me give a word of advise to Lamas... Even though you cook in KY, there will be people who know latin food and aren't fooled into thinking that anything coming out of your kitchen is an example of great latin food) Went there a couple of years ago... it was about 8:30pm.. I was in town with the CEO/Chairman of Turner Broadcasting/owner of the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Hawks... went there for the convenient location to get dinner.. FYI, we didn't say who he was and didn't expect VIP treatment.... and boy that certainly was the case. He ordered caesar salad. I ordered chicken.. My chix dish is ok.. nothing special... the salad comes out a little before 9pm.. and it's completely wilted, dry, inedible... he's working it with his fork and says he doesn't wanna be douchey about it. I told him, he can't eat it and he has to send it back.. My guess? it was a little before closing time and the kitchen wasn't going to make a new salad... The salad gets sent back. and a few minutes later, the owner/chef comes out (salad in hand) and says as he's running his fingers through the salad, "I just want you to know. I'll take this off the ticket so you won't have to pay for it. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with this salad"... My friend's reply, "You don't know me from Adam. But I've had caesar salad all over the world. And this salad is not edible".. a few more things get said.. and the chef keeps acting like we were cheapskates looking for free food. Needless to say, we paid for what we ate and left in short order... and my friend, the mogul, never played the douchey "Do you know who I am?" card.... good for him... We just spoke about that episode today... (hence the review).. and laugh about it that the person who has his own table at NYC and ATL's "4 Seasons" was told he didn't know what he was talking about and had to eat old wilted salad by a strip mall chef in a place that used to be a Kinko's Obviously, never went back to the restaurant again... btw.. I live in Miami now and this place in Louisville is nowhere close to being a great CEVICHE (notice the spelling) restaurant which has roots in Peru (not Mexico nor Puerto Rico) nor is it close to being a top latin-american restaurant...and what's up with his being mexican but he runs a peruvian theme restaurant, has "argentinean steak" on his menu, and he just hosted a "Taste Of Uruguay" night??? He's all over the place. It's like going to a restaurant that serves French, German, Italian and mexican food along with fried chicken!! Even among Louisville restaurants I would recommend Havana Rumba for latin/cubano food, August Moon and 610 Magnolia. Not this place wearing The Emperor's New Clothes

One word...amazing. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Louisville and the Highlands neighborhood, which has most of the best restaurants in the area. I tried to get here as often as I could when I lived in the ville. First off, I had met the chef once on my visits and he was very nice. The ceviche was a good appetizer. The argentinian skirt steak was awesome. The chimmichurri sauce that accompanies the steak complimented it well. I like spicy, but this had just enough kick to not be too hard on those that dont like heat. In the summertime the outdoor terrace is a welcome change to some of the restaurants on bardstown road. Drink wise, the pisco sours are well made with just the right amount of egg white froth. Overall, a great place for a culinary experience of Latin American cuisine, which I find lacking in louisville in general.

I've been wanting to go to this place for years. Creative, Latin-inspired food is one of my favorite things to search out and find good places. Finally got the chance to go for my birthday this year. We went on a Friday evening, and it was a good thing we had reservations. It was 2 or 3 deep at the bar by 7:30 pm. The atmosphere is nice, and the space is quite large, and very unique. Having the floor to ceiling windows facing Bardstown Rd is a nice touch. We were seated, and our server was there immediately to explain the menu and specials to us. I'm not normally a wine drinker, but our server was able to recommend some nice glasses to pair with our seviche tasting. He was definitely very knowledgeable about the menu as a whole, and the wine list. The seviche trio was worth every penny. We had the tuna, fluke, and oyster shooters (my favorite). Each had very clean flavors and little variations in texture that made the dishes very enjoyable. For entrees, I had the bigeye tuna filets, seared rare to perfection. Every item on the plate was different from the next, but they all blended very nicely together. The lemon parsley compound butter and lobster foam were amazing. My wife had the ribeye steak (it was huge) and it was very good, and perfectly seasoned and cooked as well. Overall, this place is amazing. It was expensive, but worth it for a special occasion.

I've been to Seviche about 6 times now... Each time I walk away liking the food, but not being ectstatic. Coupled with the prices, I think it's just "ok". The seafood is fresh, the food is prepared nicely with good presentation. The dining room in the front is very nice - open windows to the main Bardstown road area. In the back, the area is a little dark. This last visit was two days ago with some work colleagues. I got a flank steak with beans, prepared Brazillian style. Again, it was tasty, but I didn't think it was worth the price.

I adore this place! I tend to go only in the summer; something about the heat of the season makes me want to sit outside or at one of the tables by the windows with all of my friends, enjoying drinks and sampling the fantastic small plates as well as the numerous dishes exemplifying locally grown produce and meats. The spinach and roasted pear salad is to die for and the mojitos are quite delicious.

Great environment, I loved my Strawberry Mojito. Best Mojito I have ever had and the calamari was outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting Louisville for work & pleasure. Can't wait to go back.

This review is based on this isolated visit. On previous visits, I would have rated them a 4 or 4.5, however, after this experience, I'm not sure I will be back. As we stood next to the empty hostess stand upon arriving, chef Lamas walked passed us and didn't even acknowledge us. we were then seated and the evening got off to an OK start. we started with the empanadas and had we had those alone and left, I would have posted 4 stars, because they are some of the best! The problem arose after we ordered the octopus. My wife and I love octopus. when it arrived, it looked and tasted like it had been boiled, with a mushy consistency, and it was served atop plain boiled potatoes and the dollops of squid ink offered no taste. the only other "sauce' on the plate was a mojo sauce which was lacking in spice. when our waitress asked what was wrong with the dish, we offered just a simple opinion that it was bland and that we were done with the dish. She apparently related this to chef Lamas and he came over to our table visibly upset and asked us rather rudely if we used the word "bland" to describe his dish. After repeating our opinion, he said maybe our paletes didn't appreciate the acidity in the dish and that his food is not bland! we were kind of in shock at that point, but tried to continue on with our meal. our next course of beets (4 small beets), endive (3 leaves) and some goat cheese with an arugula pesto was crisp and profiled the vegetables well, but at $11 was certainly overpriced. when our entrees arrived, both of which were daily specials, things went from average to worse. my wife's ahi tuna was so tough, it could not be cut with a knife. (I have had that dish before and it was a very tender cut). I ordered the filet and the very first bite that I took was of the mash potatoes, which were cold, and had a glue like consistency. I politely asked our waitress if the potatoes were meant to be cold for effect and she said no. I also pointed out that my wife's tuna was tough, and we were sorry that we said anything after that. chef Lamas came storming out of the kitchen and began verbally abusing us in front of the other diners. He said he was offended that we would complain about the food, and basically dismissed everything we said. At that point after he turned his back and walked away, the manager, a nice lady came over and tried to smooth over the situation stating that he can get upset sometime. we had basically lost our appetite and were done. we were dumbfounded. we were then petrified when we saw chef Lamas come our way again, but first he stopped to "apologize" to the table next to us for what had transpired (which was funny because they were longtime friends of ours- and we had already shared all of the above with them), and then he turned back to us. It was if he had finally taken some deep breaths and realized that maybe they were having an "off night" (his words, not mine) and offered to comp the entire meal. I used yelp many times in the past to learn about new places, but I have never posted anything. I'm not a complainer, but ever since this visit, My wife and I have felt like a puppy that was kicked in the gut- it's just such a sick feeling. I have given other places a second chance, but I don't think I could ever step foot in seviche again. chef Lamas should learn how to listen and deal with patrons in a more appropriate way or just stay in the kitchen and leave all complaints to the manager. It pains me to have to write this.

Seviche was good. The portions were OK. The variety on the menu was interesting, but I found the appetizers to sound more interesting than the entrees. My date and I ordered the Bison empanadas which were great; the heirloom pica de gallo was great. My girlfriend, who is Colombian, commented that they were similar to an Argentinian style of empanada. We also tried the tiradito. It was nothing like what I expected. The sauce that was used was not like any tiradito I have ever tasted, salty and not spicy at all and a mild tart acidity if any at all. I would have called it closer to an Asian dish than South or Central American. For entree we split the line caught big eye tuna special. It was good. The portions were very fair and the flavors were nice. Very mild and really let the cut of fish speak for itself. The medley of julienne veggies was great to soak up the sauce. Overall, I came in expecting something more akin to the flavors at a restaurant like La Mar and ended up getting the flavors of something a bit more tame. Our service was good while a bit flustered, I believe, taking silver off the table even though it had clearly been set aside to use it, then our entree arrived while we were fork and knife-less, otherwise she was a good server who paid attention and understood the menu well. Yet we did order one cocktail and it took 20 minutes to go the 4 feet to our table. I stuck to beer it only took 5 minutes to get to my table. I understand why this restaurant does well and how its flavors relate to the Louisville palate. For the price I think I'll go elsewhere and find a place that surprises me a bit more.

Excellent! My wife and I were looking for a place to celebrate our 5th anniversary, and with Yelp's help we chose Seviche! Service, food & location were excellent! Will definitely visit again! Our entree selection was the Mahi Mahi Tacos & the Halibut!

This was my first Louisville restaurant, and I was impressed!!! Of course, this was a recommendation via locals. I am a huge wine lover, and they had the best Pino Gris I have tried! I am going to call them for the name. The color was very cloudy for a white, but it was smooth with the right touch of sweetness! We tried various samples of cerviche's all very fresh and impeccably decedent. The striped bass was very flavorful and a dash spicy, just what I was in the mood for. Will def. visit again!

It's very tasty, very attractive and an incredibly pleasant place to eat. it's a little pricey for Louisville, but I think the chef delivers and the ambiance is definitely better than the average eatery here. I have to deduct one star, however, because as much as I like it here and frequently crave a visit our service is always incredibly nice but waitstaff seem inexplicably poorly trained. Not incapable, but just not well versed in restaurant work. Like when I order several appetizers and no entree and specify that we'd like to *start* with the guacamole and then we get everything at the same time (after a CONSIDERABLE wait on a busy night) it's just par for the course here. Little things that servers should be trained to know, understand or even question patrons as to their preference. It's not huge, but it's not 5-star with that kind of service. (The servers are very gracious, and even the hosting staff is the opposite of snooty, I'm guessing this is a management issue).

Reservations for two on a busy Friday night. Greeted by a friendly hostest. Arrived early, and ordered wine from the bar while we waited. Once seated, we selected a bottle of wine and the three seviches: tuna, shrimp & hamachi. Fresh and delicious. Continued with another appetizer, escargot. Arrived in a sizzling mini skillet, smelling phenomenal, sauce was garlicy & tangy. Our favorite. Split roasted chicken over couscous (yummy) entree. Small plate sharing charge covered full sides for each of us. Server: friendly, helpful with suggestions when asked, knowledgeable of both food and wine selections. We were engrossed in conversation, so I can't say if the food was prompt, but when enjoying your night, who cares? Will definitely go again when back in town. Recommended.

We went for the buffet on Mother's Day. When we entered, another couple was in front of us we all stood there for a couple minutes waiting. Two employees, one of them the hostess, walked by without saying a word to us. This was our third visit. I loved it on our first visit, it was mediocre on our second visit with slow service, and good food, but nothing to rave about on our third with slow service again. I might have enjoyed it more had I felt more welcomed by the staff.

In Louisville these days you could almost throw a dart and hit on a good restaurant. Sundays are slightly more difficult as many top restaurants are closed. My friend and I wound up at Seviche Sunday night. Wow! We loved it. We ate on the patio - great people watching, and it was a perfect night to be outdoors. A bonus on Sundays is that they have half price bottles of wine. We shared a bottle of pinot gris, shared a couple of appetizers - guacamole and fried green tomatoes - and a salad of roasted beets before we then shared the Churrascos de Argentina - marinated skirt steak on a generous bed of garlic cheese mashed potatoes and a stalk of asparagus. Everything was wonderful, but my very favorite was the roasted beets. They were artfully arranged on a small tray decorated with ribbons of two sauces. I didn't even think I liked beets. Now I know I would return to Seviche just for them...and to try at least a half dozen other things on their menu. Fabulous!

So over the last several weeks, my wife and I have been on a run of eating at some of the finest restaurants in Louisville that we have not been to yet, using our birthdays as an excuse to indulge. Some of the highlights of this run included Jack Fry's, Lilly's, and Rye. By the time Seviche was up, we both acknowledged that it was probably our most egregious "miss" in Louisville at the time. I tried to temper my expectations going into the Seviche experience and for some reason had a feeling it might not stand up to some of our more recent experiences. Unfortunately, that feeling was realized. Seviche has a pretty nice location right on Bardstown Road. the valet parking seems a little silly, considering the preponderance of parking all along Bardstown, but I understand some people just like to "do it up". The decor of Seviche is nice, but nothing that blew me away. Our party of four set at a wobbly table right by the bar. The problems started with our first interaction with our waitress and honestly, my sour opinion of her has probably colored my overall experience at Seviche. She just seemed a bit unhappy with us. I'm not sure if it was the fact that our party was composed of four younger individuals, definitely a bit younger than the majority of the crowd there, but she just didn't seem to want to give us much attention. The weirdest part for me was after we ordered and she collected the menus, she also asked for the specials menu back. I didn't even realize there was a specials menu! So as she was collecting it, I asked if I could look at it quickly, just to make sure there was nothing amazing I was missing out on. She just said "oh" and then left, with me holding the specials menu. So if I did want to change my order, not sure how I would have gone about that. Despite our waitress potentially labeling us as a thrifty younger set, I felt like we ordered a rather generous meal. The four of us split a five-piece seviche tasting, which, quite honestly, was pretty solid. This stuff isn't cheap, but split four ways, it makes a very nice indulgent appetizer. On top of that, we each ordered our own entree. I went with the striped bass, which was great plate of food, but for the prices they are throwing around at this place ($31 for the striped bass), I'd rather slide over to Jack Fry's in that price range or step down to the Avalon price range and get a comparable plate of food. I also ordered a cocktail with my meal, despite the fact that there were no prices on the menu (always a risk, especially for the "thrifty younger set"). I went with a rye-based cocktail, which I think was called the Super Horse, or something along those lines and it was pretty disappointing, especially after experiencing the craftsmanship of the bartenders at Rye. Because it was a birthday celebration and because of my new-found realization of the "bargain" of getting dessert at finer restaurants (see my Rye review), we did get one dessert, which was the Kahlua Creme Brulee. This dessert was pretty solid, if it did have a little too much going on. I hate to go against the grain a bit with my review of Seviche, but I just honestly was not blown away and for the prices that Seviche is charging, I feel there are numerous restaurants in Louisville that stand head and shoulders above Seviche. I will allow that a large part of my negative experience was driven by a less than stellar waitress experience, but at a restaurant like this, should we really expect anything besides top-notch service from every employee? If Seviche is one of your go-to's in Louisville, I'm sure you have had plenty great experiences and hope you continue to go back. Perhaps you can coax me back sometime to show me how wrong I am. Outside of that happening though, I do not see myself returning anytime soon of my own volition. My overall experience was fine, but the math does not add up for a repeat visit.

Absolutely delicious. One of my favorite restaurants. Ate here while in town for the derby and every single part of our meal was PHENOMENAL. Could not stop talking about it.

Fantastic bison empanadas! That saved the complete experience. The other appetizer I tried, a ceviche was OK. Service was OK at the bar. The atmosphere was very nice, but when I arrived it was quiet in the place and even though there was a ton of help service lacked. It was as if I was there too early (I arrived at 6PM). I think this place gets busy later. I felt out of place as if I wasn't trendy enough for them. Overpriced wine and the food was a bit expensive in general.

In no way should anyone think this is simply a Latin American restaurant. Regardless of what region's cuisines you tend to favor, you are nearly certain to appreciate the brilliance of chef Anthony Lamas. While the entrees are very good here, the appetizers are where the chef's creativity shine through, whether through artfully paired seviches featuring the currently freshest seafood, or through fresh, latin twists on decadent, typically rich items such as foie gras and sweetbreads.

Without a doubt, the most spectacular food, service and attentiveness I have received at a superior restaurant in a long, long, time. From the time I was greeted at the hostess stand by Madi and Laura. I was lead to my table feeling very special, almost like royalty. Very super qualities for a staff to have. Customer service is 110% above and beyond any expectation at Seviche, A Latin Restaurant. Kathryn, when asked, described the tastes I would experience when I asked about several different menu items. I felt so comfortable with her recommendations from the wine to my ceviche selections, I let her order for me! She exquisitively nailed my tastes. If it were not for visiting Why Louisville earl er in the day I would not have met Laura and learned of Seviche! Thank you, Miss Laura! You are a great public relations agent for Chef Lamas. Kudos to the chef on duty for preparing every dish with perfection. The presentations were fantastic, while the tastes were out of this world. Chef Lamas has truly assembled a superior team of staff members who have successfully impressed me beyond belief! Don't walk to Seviche, RUN!

Seviche is very good. It is a little expensive, but they use very fresh food. We tried the Tuna Taquitos, Wild Caught Shrimp, and Oyster "Bloody Mary" Shooters civiches. The bloody mary shooter were my fav. I will say these are very good, but not as good as some of the civches dishes you can get in Lima, Peru. I have been very spoiled, but this has been the best I have found in the States.

I know everyone raves about this place, but I really haven't had my socks knocked off yet and I can't afford to give it another chance. Stick to the main and expensive dishes. My friends got that, and it was really good. SO for that dish, I give the place 4 stars. The smaller dishes don't seem to be of the same quality. I know they must know what they're doing, but I guess my expectations were set really high from the way everyone talks about it. It WAS good. But not super super good. If I was rich I would probably like this place. Maybe.

Seviche is named after its namesake dish Seviche or sometimes Ceviche which is sort of a South American sushi without the rice. Various types of raw fish are marinated in citrus juices and served with a variety of Latin sides (potatos, beans, corn, literally anything). Seviche also serves a variety of non-seafood dishes, in a nuevo-latin style. Atmosphere and decor is modern and stylish. Food in my experience has always been outstanding. Highly recommended for a date or corporate entertaining.

I came on a random saturday night, and was able to get outside seating without wait. Having never been there, my wife and I decided to sample small dishes. Ostiones a La Lamas - 5 oysters done a latin "Rockefeller" style. Very tasty! We will get that again. Oyster Shooters - 5 shots in tomato, horseradish, and pepper vodka. Perfect for the cool outside, as the peppr and alcohol warmed me up. Tenderloin Chili - It was the soup of the day, and man, was sooo good! Chucks of meat, very flavorful, and spicy. They weren't scared to add heat to this dish. My nirvana. Mejillones en Caldillo - Mussels in a broth with ginger, cilantro, and lemon. Very good as well, and has a little spice to it. Serrano Ham and Goat Cheese Salad - My wife loved this. The goat cheese is fried with a light, crispy batter around it, and the ham was great on the salad. Overall...fantastic! Their flavors and spices are the reason I actually go out instead of cook at home. With a few drinks and a $25 gift cert from restaurant.com , it was about $70 (including tip), making it an affordable night out as well. Afterwards, my tastebuds wanted to have sex with me, but I just wasn't raised that way.

Awesome place. Ask for Greg, fantastic server. The Hawaiian Wahoo ceviche was our favorite, tuna entree was delicious, and the avocado ice cream was recently reviewed by travel channel - definitely an experience. Tres leches was also excellent - very strong dessert menu. Our cab was late so they opened a bottle of wine for us while we waited. Must-eat in Louisville!

Outstanding. Cosmopolitan but relaxed atmosphere with great service. I had the mussels to start and they were wonderful, and I'm a seafood freak.. My husband had the pear and spinach salad which he raved about.. We each had a ceviche dish: I had the lump crabmeat and he had the line-caught tuna. Both were excellent, especially my crabmeat. This one is a must-do if you are live in or are visiting Louisville!

I come here a lot when I go home to Louisivlle. I love the atmosphere and can't wait to go have a drink in the new lounge. I love how they put cucumber in the water, its very refreshing, and is a good alternate to lemon. The seviches are all really good here, especially the tuna, and the sampler is always great to try a few different types. The empanadas and tableside made guacamole are great appetizers, but I usually opt for the pear, spinach, and goat cheese salad. The mahi mahi tacos are a favorite entree of mine, but I love the macadamia encrusted mahi mahi a lot also. The striped bass with shrimp cigar is also really good, and I think thats what I got last time. Seviche is a good place for a unique take on fish. There is no restaurant like this in Louisville, and is one of my favorite places in the city.

I always order two things here the, Habanero jelly nut encrustred brie, and the rocoto peper shrimp. The shrimps are no longer on the menu but they are always more than happy to make them. This is one of my favorite restaurants in KY. I have only once ordered off the entree menu - usually we will come and order appetizers and seviches and eat tapas style. The chino latino tuna is also really really good. Some of my favorite restaurants in DC are run by the chef Jeff Tunks. Seviche's chef Anthony Lamas trained under Tunks. Oh yea - also the waters have cucumber slices in them instead of lemons. Very nice touch!

One of the best restaurants in Louisville, maybe in the US! Let me start by saying I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to good eats--dad being the gourmet and all, I have been very lucky! Who would've thought in Louisville that I could have one of the best mussels dishes EVER? I mean California quality good. I try to eat here every time I'm in Louisville. The only downside to eating here is deciding which items to pick! I usually get the tuna ceviche and the mussels--the broth with those mussels is so spicy and amazing, with ginger, cilantro and other fresh ingredients. Never had a bad meal here; great bar; the outdoor seating in summer is fab--and there are always people walking by (god, I love Bardstown Road). Seviche is so good, it may make you think you're in Europe...don't walk--RUN! The food is awesome!

I'm Louisville just for a bit. I was invited to dinner with some friends and their work friends. They were doing a special "Taste of Uruguay" where basically everyone in there gets the same meal, 4 courses with a wine pairing. Muy deliciioso as Dora says. My favorite was a meatball with a citrus tomato sauce dish. The citrus was quite shocking and a pleasant surprise. I forgot the wine it was paired with but it melded symphonically with the dish. The Ahi Mahi tuna dish was also delicious. Odd thing is that we sat across from the bathroom and one had a woman decal only and the other had a man/woman decal. Obviously one woman's and one shared. But for some reason men kept going in the woman's only one. We kept busting the men as they came out. Hilarious. These old dudes were pretty embarrassed.

Usually a very nice diner and night out with friends BUT...last night our server totally tried to double the included tip for our party of 6! $70 error - $140 tip for 6! I think it's already a little overpriced, especially drinks and salads, but this waiter made all three couples mad and we may not go back! Be sure and check your bill - 2-3 times!! We had to wait for at least 20 minutes to get it resolved and we will all be checking our statements to make sure we were charged the right amount - since he ran each card 2 times! Very disappointing.

we went to Seviche for dinner after an exhausting 3day artfair. after 2 dinners of mediocre food, we didn't have great expectations. Seviche blew us away. we started with the Shrimp Ceviche, which had just the right amount of spice, the shrimp was perfectly done and good quality. the margaritas were outstanding! for dinner we shared a bottle of Malbec which had the perfect amount of black cherry and pepper. i had the churrasco with chimichurri over mashed potatoes, which was just fabulous (even the potatoes, i seriously think they must have been laced with crack they were so good). My husband had the fejaioba (sp?) which was also great. Another dinner companion had the fish with the crab stuffed cigar which was just perfectly done and obviously really good quality fish. the really great part is that the ceviche and wine were both half off, and the margaritas were $2 the only down parts, which aren't really big issues: 1) we were too stuffed to try dessert and didn't have a chance to go back before having to leave town. 2) Hall & Oates, really, i mean REALLY?, at least at our request our waiter had the music changed 3) a few extra chips with the ceviche would be nice, we ran out before running out of ceviche 4) not the cheapest dinner, but well worth the cost imho

great food, cool environment. went here with family and got a bunch of items to share. very fresh and tasty fish with excellent sauces. nothing was too overdone in presentation. had a waiter that was a bit of a douche, but i'm going to assume he wasn't the best they had to offer. very nice addition to bardstown road.

Latin inspired food at it's best. The "mugs" bistec (steak with chimichurri and fried egg) was delicious. I had the Fish taco seviche and my wife had oyster shooters. Both were excellent. This has become my new favorite restaurant.

Ok so I had some sort of shrimp and it was pretty good, just spicy enough. I will come back here for the margaritas if for nothing else. Not too crowded for a Saturday night but I'm sure as the waether warms up and they bring back open seating it will certanly pick up.

I visited Seviche last night with a group of people. We had a super time, and it was really busy. Here's the thing: I am a bit of a service stickler, so when someone points a pen at me and asks, "Are you ready?", or when there is a food auction at the table ("who ordered the striped bass?"), or when you wait twenty-five minutes for someone to take your order, I know they haven't been well-trained. Needless to say, those were all things that happened last night. In their defense, they did seem very busy... Anyhooters, I had a mojito and it was perfect. We tried the hamachi seviche (which is more like hamachi sashimi slices in sauce), and it was ok. The roasted chicken entree, served with white beans and spinach, was juicy and well-seasoned. The skirt steak was delicious also--medium well-done but still tender, with mashed potatoes and a RAD chimichurri sauce. The fish tacos were also great, according to one of my dining companions. The tres leches was unspectacular, but still decent enough to finish the evening with smiles and awkward hugs. Overall, it was a nice time.

I had the Churrascos De Argentina (skirt steak and red potato mash) and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was also excellent. I would have rated it 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable. Very good restaurant with quality service but you pay for the pleasure.

I give it a 3 1/2. The meal was good, but because the portions were so small, our party of four ended up ordering so many things that by the end of the night, our bill was quite large! But this was a fun choice for dinner to sample many different tastes.

The best meals I have ever had have been presented by Anthony and his wonderful crew. I have eaten brunch at the Breakers, crab at Crustations in Beverly Hills, dinner at Le Circque in New York, and the dinner at the Naples Ritz Carlton. In my opinion the best dinner I have ever had was on Bardstown Road here in Louisville. Always ask the waiters their opnion. They will all work hard to make your meal an experience. Try the steak and seafood dishes.

All I can say is yummy! Ceviche is one of my favorite dishes and they do it wonderfully here. The rest of the menu is tasty too. The prices aren't for the stingy but you'll be rewarded with a beautiful plated meal. So beautiful you won't wanna touch it. But go ahead and dig in - you won't regret it.

Love the fish tacos! Love the empinatias (can't spell). Love the ceviche sampler! Very romantic and classy. Light dinner unless you get like a steak or large portion but we go for the ceviche. My favorite date spot!

Seviche is one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville. Besides the fact that they have blown glass sculptures as light fixtures, which I adore. The atmosphere is laid back, and very welcoming. I am not a big seafood eater at all, but I love all their seafood dishes. The way they blend flavors is unbelievable. We started out with Tuna Old Fashioned seviche (how it's spelled on the menu) which literally melted in my mouth. For the my dinner I had the Churrascos De Argentina which marinated skirt steak with chimichurri. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Was not tough at all. I have also had the Ice Cream Sandwich as a dessert. It is an oat cookie with chocolate chips and served with banana toffee ice cream. Just delicious.

I tried Seviche for the first time last night, and to be honest, it was a bit of a let down. When they bulk of a restaurant's entrees are $30 or more, expectations are understandably higher. The overall experience at Seviche wasn't in line with the price point. Service was decent overall. However, I was almost completely done with my entree by the time I got the glass of wine that I ordered well before the food was delivered to the table. In terms of the food itself, entree portions were small (sufficient for me - but could be seen as a sticking point for some). The scallops I ordered were cooked quite well, but they were markedly over-seasoned. The seasoning masked and overpowered the food, instead of complimenting it. It was the same story for friends who ordered the swordfish. They independently commented on the saltiness of the fish and also used the term "over-seasoned." I'll give Seviche another try, but for the price, the experience needs to improve for me to make it a recurring restaurant choice.

Wonderful food and service. We started off with the peppers and then shared a ceviche flight (the Bloody Mary shooters were to-die-for) and shared the scallops as well. We sat near the door, so I didn't feel like I got to completely experience the atmosphere, but the food and service more than made up for the table location.

Went to Seviche for a birthday dinner for four. We had reservations for 8:00, but were seated 30 minutes late, at a cold table by the door (in winter) with no apologies from the hostess or wait staff. This was my 3rd time to Seviche and service seems to be a recurring issue. Don't get me wrong, the food is decent. But in a city like Louisville, with a plethora or amazing restaurant choices, there is no reason to got back to Seviche.

Very unusual and loved it. We had the Tuna Tistadidos for appetizers and the Moqueque (spelling) for an entre and lived it all. Very fresh and great great taste. Also had the Oregon Pino Noir as they had some great wines in the list.

One of our favorite restaurants in Louisville, Seviche always impresses us. Great atmosphere and amazing food. We look for healthy and delicious options for dining out, and love that Seviche's menu offers some health-conscious compatible dishes that maintain flavor and creativity (fresh soups, salads, appetizers and ceviche). We've never been disappointed - always great.

Despite the unfriendly hostess who wanted me to sit at a table either facing the back of a 2 top or the back of a 4 top and then cancelled my open table reservation because I decided to sit at the bar...my hopes remain optimistic. Previous trips to Louisville acclaimed restaurants had proved disappointing and this one fell short again. Atmosphere was cheery and bustling. Salad greens were not very cold, tuna portion served in the whole coconut wins for presentation but small portion. ( and I eat very small portions). Bartender was friendly and offered to shave some of that fresh coconut for me. Best part of the meal - sad to say. Next time, only local dives for me.

Stopped in because of the good reviews. We were not disappointed. Everything our group ordered was fresh and delicious. Service was just as good. Don't know when we will be back in Louisville but will definitely come back if we get the chance.

The food was incredibly good but the service was not. Staff was very in attentive and the server did not seem very interested in offering any suggestions or doing anything to enhance our dining experience. Plus he gave me the wrong dish that didn't even order. For an upscale, white tablecloth restaurant I would expect a lot more from the staff. I saw what looked like a manager walk in and out of his office a lot but never saw him on the floor interacting with any guests. The food was good enough to where I would try it again but if the service is it any better it will be my last trip. Too many quality options out there to spend that kind of money and be ignored.

I could go on for quite a while about my experience but will instead just say that it has a long time since I enjoyed a dining experience this much. The service was awesome and the food was incredible. This is one of those rare places where the food and flavors are more art than science.

Fastastic food and top notch service. We made reservations for 6:45 and it is a good thing we did since they filled up 30 minutes later. It's a unique atmosphere inside, I don't know how to describe it, so you'll have to see for yourself. We got the Ahi Tuna Ceviche App and were impressed with the quality of the item. Serving it in a coconut shell is a little much, but if that's what they want to do, no big deal. The ginger was a little strong but the dish was very flavorful leaving us wanting more. For an entree I had the Poblano Tenderloin. I don't know WHY they call this a a Poblano Tenderloin, there was one small Poblano strip on top of the beef and no other hint of Poblano anywhere else. The beef was cooked perfectly and the sides of baby broccoli and mashed potatoes were perfect. All very fulfilling. My wife had the skirt steak and was equally impressed. For dessert we had the Tres Leches cake. It was good, but not earth shattering. It was definitely made for a latin palate as it wasn't as sweet as an Americanized one would be. My only real beef was that they had more European beers than Latin American Beers. The service was fantastic. No hot waitresses seen, but the hostesses were easy on the eyes. For the two of us, we dropped over $100 including alcohol. Be prepared to spend money here.

I have been there several times. As always the food was amazing. But the punctuality and service was lacking. Our reservation was sat 45 minutes after our scheduled time even with multiple empty tables on the floor. Then we sat for some time waiting for a server. At which point I flagged down someone. I was informed our server had clocked out and left. A restaurant that can't manage its own wait staff is concerning. No matter how good the food is.

We recently visited Seviche after a long absence - Hoping to enjoy yummy Seviche! I ordered a special "Sustainable" Tuna Seviche served with apple and cucumber slaw and was assured that it was not too spicy. At $16 for an appetizer (Anthony no longer offers 3 tasting for $25 or 5 for $40 which was the mainstay of the Seviche) it was rather steep...... There was no room for it to be spicy as there was NO FOOD ON THE PLATE!!!!!! I kid you not there were 8 or 9 thumbnail slivers of tuna topped with fingernail piles of "slaw" REALLY????? IT'S a FRUIT AND VEGGIE ALMOST FREE!!!!! As I ordered this as my ENTREE I was forced to cut every "Thumbnail" in half so that I would have 16/18 bites of food to eat! for $16....... Its not fricken Foie Gras! My other appetiser was a bit more food for the money but it was not outstanding. My Date had Pork and he said the sides outshone the meat. Drinks were great. Service great, atmosphere great, asked for table up front - received it. Will we be back? Very doubtful. Anthony I eat out 1 or 2 times a week at ethnic/Sushi and fine dining- but you are taking yourself WAY TOO SERIOUSLY!!!!

My wife, mother and I came here based on word of mouth back in November, the best way to usually find a new restaurant. Based in the heart of the Highlands, Seviche offers wonderful food in a wonderful atmosphere with wonderful service. The modern decor was reminiscent of a trendy New York establishment of the current upscale, yuppy generation. This is not a bad thing, it is actually a great thing. The restaurant transforms you to a different place and you forget where you are with the clean, modern lines of the place. The white table cloth reminds you that you are in an upscale restaurant with 5 star food from a 5 star chef. Your walk to the bathroom allows you to learn the personal story of the chef and restaurant in a classy manner with the beautifully mounted articles. The portions were European sized and left you feeling satisfied and not overwhelmed by the feeling of your stomach in your throat. All the ingredients were clean and fresh and it made your body feel the same way afterward. The prices reflected the quality that we expected and every penny was worth it. Louisville always boasts keeping thing local and weird, and Seviche is a place to keep local businesses thriving. Definitely a place to visit again.

Seviche was awesome. I went here to celebrate a birthday, and it was a great choice. We went on Sunday, and it turned out that they had half price bottles of wine, which was a great deal. My best recommendation might be a little too obvious, but if you go here, stick to the seviche. Seviche has some great options, including a ton of choices for seviche (that's how it was spelled on the menu, same thing as ceviche). We ordered a flight of seviche where we got to try three different kinds of seviche, and they let you include any of the seviches that they have on the specials for the day. They were awesome. Light and citrus-y, with great seafood that tasted really fresh. They have an option to also try five types of seviche, so you could even do that. For the entrees we tried the grouper and the veggie chimichanga. They were very good. The use of the KY gouda in the chimichanga was a great choice, and the grouper was cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that the entrees were overpriced. I did not think the quality of the food matched the price that we paid. The seviches were well worth it, but the grouper and chimichanga did not need to be priced as high as they were. If you are paying $30+ for a plate of grouper, I feel like it should be mind-blowingly delicious. And while it was good, I don't think it set the bar for future seafood or anything. Sorry for saying seviche too much, but seriously, you have to get some if you go here!

Group of 6 ate there last night - good food, service and drinks but a bit overpriced in my book. Everything was great and fresh and the service was awesome. Had a seviche sampler and some deconstructed duck that was fantastic. The chimichuri is a paste/sauce on the dish, not like what I had in Argentina, but still tasty. Decent wine selection and out friends were raving about the pisco sours they enjoyed. This was my third time at Seviche and it doesn't disappoint - but I had forgotten about the price so just don't want anyone to be surprised.

Superb in EVERY way! The servers are responsive and quick to please. The food is epicurean perfection & the ambiance is inviting! The bartender was even open to teaching me a trick or two regarding mixology! Fun for just 2 or a large party.....go and have a great evening!

This dimly lit restaurant perches itself on a corner with little street parking but a friendly valet serviceman. There are towers of outdoor "fire trees" (not sure what to call them) that you notice from the road easily -and you think- what's in there? Upon entering the establishment my date and I were greeted by a pleasant and prompt (two key P's for intro's) hostess who took us to the private room that our party awaited in. The drink service gets 5 stars for great recommendations and refills (the two R's for drinking wine). Three course meal was discussed, ordered, admired, and eaten over two hours and brought acceptable (but not the most favorable) palate satisfaction. Satisfaction that you don't mind being dimmed by the female octopus hanging all over your boyfriend from across the table miming as a "friend." You can just tell with some girls what they're really after, and it's best not to let them get a rise out of you for fear that they might think they're actually successful. Classy dames don't street fight, especially not until after dessert. (SKIP 1 paragraph if you're bored with this topic ) [It's also best to not let that take away from your meal. I wish I could say that this meal was a double-date or something of an appropriate nature, but alas, this meal was provided by a fine drug company in a social setting, leaving me to drown my jealousy and sorrows in a tall glass of merlot (or two) accompanied by rude excluding behavior from across the table and droll behavior to my right from a rep interested in getting their product out there. Who's to blame here really? I digress, but Yelping is an excellent catharsis for not only my gastric adventures but also my personal adventures. Plus this somewhat protects privacy. Ladies- don't be THAT girl ok? Have some respect for yourself. Back to why you're REALLY reading my review-turned-blog]. I started the meal with their homemade guac. It was a little acidic and I like mine a little more herbey (yea it's a word try it on New Scrabble) with cilantro and maybe a touch of grassy parsley but this was likely made this way so that it could sit out and not brown before it was consumed. The side for this creamy gooey mixture was large crunchy fried nachos that required breaking prior to eating since I was trying to appear dainty, but in a less formal setting I likely would've made a mess of myself eating this stuff. Delicious- but did not pair well with the wine unfortunately. The server then recommended the Sea Bass. Now you may have just had a quote ring in your ears from Jurassic Park- and YES! It WAS the Chilean Sea Bass. A bit overspiced for my taste but it came with two sauces (one was wasabi or jalepeno I believe) and that was just too much. This + the wine was not what I was looking for (next to the company I was ready to either leave to protect my stomach from stressors of the physical and emotional or have dessert- because a fat kid at heart always loves dessert). Dessert was a sweet light cake with some kind of milky condensed mixture and fruit. I actually just ate this yesterday as I took it to go. This was the best part of the meal by far. I had tried someone else's bread pudding that did not thrill me, which stinks because I usually like those types of dessert. It was a bit tasteless with a hint of apple. Either order your meal first and then pair the wine or plan accordingly. The meal was ruined for a multitude of reasons but Seviche still earns 4 stars for clean bathrooms, prompt and polite service, and lovely facilities. I will go back again if given the chance, and maybe just drink water.

I just felt cooler being there, it's just that kind of place. Of course if the food sucked it wouldn't matter how cool I felt but in this case, it was the whole package. We started with a couple of the appetizers one of which was the "24 hour pork belly". It was perfectly sweet and salty and melted in your mouth. It came with some greens that I could have made a meal of. The "tuna old fashioned" ceviche was incredible as well. Then on to the main course. I had the pan roasted grouper and sea scallop that was fresh and perfectly cooked/seasoned. One colleague had the skirt steak and the other poached salmon and raved. For dessert, we ordered bread pudding and the lemon curd. Neither disappointed. If you want a great meal and to feel like you really know what's up, go here!

It will be hard to find better food anywhere! Incredible FLAVOR in every dish. Even the desserts have such flavor that you will not be able to order just one and share ... Order one for each person at the table. The atmosphere is not as warm and romantic as I would prefer, and the service is good but not over the top.

Delicious, dream about your next meal kinda food. Large portions for a "fancy" place- great date spot or celebration spot. I've never tried something here I didn't love!

One of the most reliable restaurants in Louisville and, oddly enough, great for SO MANY different types of gatherings: Girl's Night Out; Casual dinner at the bar; 2 friends having dinner, 12 friends having dinner, healthy food and comfort food... Seviche really does check all the boxes. My favorites: the made-to-order guacamole; any of the seviches; and the fish tacos. Mm, mmm, mmm!

When someone from out of town asks for a restaurant recommendation, Seviche is my go-to answer. Great dining to break away from the traditional American mode. Menu includes seviches as well as full sized entrees. Several seasonal options. Service is always spot on. I've had several experiences where they've been out of an entree or the bottle of wine I wanted and they've gone out if their way each time to make up for it. Some people may be put off that their entree of choice is not available, but I don't mind as the seafood here is as about as fresh as it gets. Reservations recommended but if you're in a pinch, you can always try for a seat at the bar and order the guacamole that is made at your table and mixed to your taste.
Not going to lie. I was ready to hate. I was sure that it wouldn't live up to the hype or the price tag. Seviche mocked and enticed me for the entire year I lived a block away. But it always seemed like a dinner that had to be planned and be ready to drop a pretty penny (and I am at heart a cheap ass, though I love my food). I finally, finally went. I am now a believer. Service - impeccable. Informative, polite, checking in and keeping us happy without ever being too in your face. Decor - very simple and it really works. Almost all window, so hardly any art needed, with the focal point being the gorgeous blown glass squid lights all around the bar. I was mesmerized with them, and would love, love my own fancy blown glass lights. The only two things that didn't wow me were the outdoor seating that look just like my cheap wicker chairs from Big Lots (which obviously I like, but for this uber fancy restaurant, a bit odd. And the wine was decent but definitely resembled a table wine - except for the price. Now the important part. THE FOOD. Yum. So the ceviches themselves were about 9-17 bucks each, most sitting around 15. Which is expensive for "tastes," but they had where you could get 3 for $25 or 5 for $41. We found out from our server that the set of 5 were pretty much regular size, but the 3 sampler were smaller portions. So we decided to do the 5 and get their cheapest entree as well, to make sure we didn't walk away hungry. So 60 bucks before tax/tip and it was definitely plenty to leave us stuffed (and we didn't touch the rice that came with the entree.) Which was an excellent buy - mahi mahi tacos, with perfectly cooked fish, a rich sauce, pico, and some sort of cabbage slaw. We were both blown away. For our 5 ceviches we had the shrimp one in a lovely spicy tomato base (I say spicy, but pretty much every item with have that description - which I love - so tip: If you don't do spicy, don't go!!) We had the 2 specials: one with uber-fresh and delicate tuna over watermelon and some grouper in a verde sauce that I was totally obsessed with. Seriously, classy place and I'm spooning it over everything (after tasting each one on its own of course!) And an ode to the oyster bloody mary shooter. I expected 3, we got 5. Yay! They were sooo spicy and a full shot glass of yum. Our least favorite was the crab. While the meat itself just melted into little strips of crab, the sauce was the least exciting. Don't get me wrong - we still cleaned it up, but it wasn't as impressive. I will absolutely be back for round two. And might move up to 5 stars for me. It isn't cheap, but the quality is absolutely there. Why is my bday so far away?

I dined at Seviche last Friday with a group of 6. The service was great and we were seated right away. I had heard wonderful things about this restaurant, so I had high expectations coming in to the night. Our table had guacamole served with freshly baked tortilla chips - YUM! My boyfriend and I shared the King Tuna seviche which was the best dish of the evening. I also had the red fish over cajun rice and he had the skirt steak. Everything was delicious, but I felt it was over priced and not as inventive as I expected. One guest had the special - lobster bisque with truffle oil and lump crab meat. This was another highlight of the meal. We tasted several different cocktails and were not too impressed overall. I would come back to Seviche, but I would try to make it a more low key meal or just have the seviche tasting.

Bourbon tuna seviche was amazing. Great upscale atmosphere. 80's music and doo woo was questionable but it all worked.
Very nice meal. Had the Churrascos de Argentina, great steak. My wife had one of the special, a veggie sandwich. She was mildly disappointed. We did the whole menu, apps, seviche, salad, main course, dessert. Will go back but it won't be a go to place.

Rediculiously overpriced but the clams are to die for. Plan on drinking the juice (and flipping off anyone that frowns on you for it!!) :)

Truly a WONDERFUL dining experience. The waiter was knowledgable and gave well thought out suggestions. We had 5 appetizers with a salad instead of an entre'. Will definitely be back. Reasonably priced, Dinner for two $100 including wine and dessert on a Sunday night. Wine half priced. What's not to love??

From the moment we walked in and were greeted by a friendly, cheerful hostess through the great care and attention provided by our waiter and staff, this was a great place for dinner. Greg took great care of us and was well informed on the menu and the day's specials. The food was excellent. We had the oyster appetizer, roasted garlic and bread, the tuna special, and red fish off the menu. Everything was delivered timely and presented in a manner fitting of the taste. A great place to go when you're in this part of Louisville, or even if you have to drive across town. Well worth it!

Seviche was a nice little find for our first night out in town. Latin cuisine in Louisville, and it was great. Chef Lamas is a 2010 James Beard Award nominee and he makes great use of fresh produce and local purveyors. We started with wild mushroom and goat cheese empanadas. Flavors were kicking right from the start with the earthy fungi and buttery cheese. There was a tasty sun dried tomato sauce and a jamming jalapeno drizzle. Spinach and roasted pear salad was our next course. Very good and fresh as well. For our mains, my wife had the Ahi tuna special which was served raw like sushi. She loved it. I had the skirt steak with chimichurri atop red mashed potatoes. This was a huge portion and it was exactly what I was looking for. The mash was good and rich, and the chimichurri was a delicious compliment to the perfectly cooked steak. Sadly, the desserts were uninspired and we finished with a disappointing Key lime cheesecake. Service was good and helpful, although I think they subbed a newer vintage of wine on us which was one of the worst we've had. Decor is sleek and modern. It's a nice and trendy place on bustling Bardstown road. The outdoor patio seemed very basic and the kitchen staff's smoking section, complete with a pile of butts, seemed tacky. Overall Seviche was great and we had an excellent meal. Spruce up the dessert menu and clean up the outdoor area and you'd have five stars.

This was my first foray into solo Louisville dining - it had a dine-in bar. The exterior was unassuming, but nice. I love that there are a lot of outdoor dining options in Louisville, overall. Being a temporary summer guest of Louisville, I was a little skeptical of seafood so far from a coast. Then someone pointed out that UPS's hub is here, so that seemed to make it all better (at least mentally). The seviches/ceviches (however you want to spell it) are quite good, and all had a healthy kick. This place doesn't skimp on seasoning. The seafood always tasted fresh. Main courses were equally delicious. I can't think of a single mediocre thing I got here. Everything was enjoyable. AND they had awesome drinks. It also confirmed that I can meet awesome gay boys everywhere. Cheers to Joshua and Justin!

Seviche is one of the best restaurants in Louisville. The Chef and owner, Anthony Lamas, is highly talented and creative with his cuisine. The food is always fresh and delicious. Lamas and his staff use very inventive flavors and put foods together that you will love, even though it may seem too complicated. Oh, and you MUST try the veggie chimichanga! So good! They use kenny's gouda cheese and some fresh butternut squash and so many other tasty things. I don't want to give too much away info about this dish. :) The cocktails are yummy too. I enjoy going up to Seviche for a drink and some of their amazing guacamole! Best guacamole in town. Their patio is nice as well. It's a fun spot to watch passerby and still enjoy dinner. For chilly evenings they have heaters to keep you from getting too cold. The service staff is always friendly and accommodating to your needs and requests. If you are the type that doesn't like to deal with street parking, they have valet parking for a reasonable $5.

Expect to leave hungry. I have been dinning at Seviche for years now, and it seems be slowly changing for the worse. The atmosphere, the service, and the drinks are all excellent, per usual. The food is delicious, but unfortunately the portion size is a tease, and leaves you desiring more. I have no problem paying high prices for quality food, but the quantity is ridiculous. The fact we pay a $100 bill between the two of us and leave feeling completely unfulfilled is an issue. I have been eating the Jump Lump crab at Seviche for years. I loved it! It was fresh, delicious crab stacked high with a fresh tomato and pico de gallo on top. I am very disappointed to say - this has changed immensely. You now receive about 5 or 6 pieces of crab meat dispersed on a plate with a couple cherry tomatoes, for the price of $19.00. I have no clue what they are trying to achieve at Seviche by raising prices and creating minuscule plates of food. But seriously, get real!
(2)
Lauren H.
The food tastes excellent - I would give the food is 5 stars based on flavor. What isn't 5 stars is paying a high price for the tiny, minuscule portions they serve. I certainly don't mind spending a lot on a nice dinner. I also don't mind when restaurants serve you "normal" sized portions (i.e. not massive, overflowing plates). That being said, Seviche's portions were much smaller than "normal." We fully expected to pay over $100 for a dinner for two. We also expected to receive an adequate amount of food. We were literally shocked when our plates were presented. We started off with the shrimp appetizer. They were served chilled and the flavor was good. $15 for 5 regular sized shrimp. Hmm... We were a little disappointed in the size, but it (erroneously) didn't lead us to assume that the entrees would be tremendously undersized. We ordered the swordfish and the salmon for our main courses. The food came out quickly, and when it was placed on our table, I was completely taken aback by the tiny amount of food on a plate for which I just paid $35 (x2). There's no way there was more than 3 or 4 ounces of meat on each plate. Not a chance. If you took a deck of cards and cut it in half lengthwise - one half is the size of the salmon. The swordfish was served in three bite sized pieces (odd). I'm not exaggerating when I say our plates were empty in about a minute... Before she had time to come back and ask how everything tasted. Even if you doubled the portion we were served, I would have still considered it a small portion. I'm fine with dining at a restaurant where I leave feeling satisfied, not full but not hungry. Never have I left a restaurant still hungry until Seviche. We had to stop by a bar and order some nachos before continuing our night. It's a shame because the food tasted wonderful. I would have loved to have more of it to eat. Yes, the prices are labeled on the menu. What you'll notice isn't labeled is the weight of the meat. Most places describe this in the details of the dish (i.e. 8 ounce filet). Seviche doesn't do this, so be prepared: You will be paying a high price for a much smaller amount of meat than I've seen served anywhere. I know the chef is world famous and talented. This shows in the flavor of the food. But for me, it doesn't matter how good the food is, charging that much for such a small amount of food doesn't fly. That's my two cents. It's worth a try, but adjust your expectations accordingly. I'm glad I tried it, but I certainly won't be back.

Way overpriced and leaves something to be desired. I went with friends and we split the guacamole appetizer, which was actually very good and I'm not a guac fan. That was the best part. I followed that up with the $59 ribeye and a good flan for dessert. The ribeye was decent at best. It's a thin piece of meat so it lacks the flavor and juiciness of a normal ribeye. I wish I had gone to Outback instead. The flan was very good, flavorful and rich. I had a nice glass of house cabernet and a bourbon also. The service was horrible. Bringing us food without silverware, repeatedly taking far too long to get silverware, water, drinks and everything. It was a busy night, but the service was horrible and the steak was lackluster. If I'm gonna pay $130 on a meal then I better get something memorable. I guess I did though - a memorably bad experience. I will not be back.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Louisville. Great for special occasions, date night, or just an after work cocktail & Seviche. Chef Lamas never disappoints!

EXCELLENT FOOD!!! Everything we are tonight was wonderful and worth every penny. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the service. Emma out server was slightly condescending and was not quick to fill drink orders it coffee refills This won't keep us from returning as it is one of our favorite places. Even if service isn't that great it is worth it for the food.

I didn't get to experience the menu as much as I liked (we were having two dinners that night), but what I had was phenomenal. The Bison Empanadas were killer with the combination of flaky pastry, well-seasoned ground bison, and avocado jalapeño puree. The Tuna Old Fashioned Ceviche was ADDICTIVE. I could have drunk the pineapple-orange-bourbon-soy sauce with a straw! The presentation award went to the Line Caught Bigeye Tuna Ceviche, because that dish came in an actual coconut. I would order all three dishes again in a heartbeat. Reading the other reviews, I know I need to try the mussels and sea scallops. I will definitely be back again with fork in hand!

I've been here twice , and each time was a memorable experience. The staff are so attentive, and actually make an effort to remember regular customer's names, seating preference, and drinks faves . This second trip was phenominal, though I'm sad I left my leftovers behind. I had the chimmichuri steak ... Amazing! But the woman next to me had the line caught tuba app that was served in a half coconut. Which, the staff kindly worked the fresh coconut out of the shell in which the dish was served. I totally intend to order that the next time. I've really enjoyed each item I've eaten here. You just can't go wrong with seviche...

Wow, what a great dining experience in all categories! I hosted a business dinner on a Monday night at Seviche for 6 people and all 6 walked away having enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The server was top notch and was able to answer every question, not in a rote manner but with great detail and panache. We ordered several appetizers including the Oyster shooters and YUM!! the entrees didn't disappoint and we ordered 6 different desserts - all of which were outstanding. This is definitely on my list of favorites in L'ville!

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip here on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. I have been wanting to try it so I was so excited when we pulled into the parking lot. To start we had the duck nachos. They were wonderful; there was duck in every bite and I would go back just for them! For my entree I had the sea scallops (if there's sea scallops on the menu, I'm getting them!) They were perfectly cooked and sat on top of yummy spaghetti squash with dollops of goat cheese. The goat cheese added such a great creaminess to the squash. My boyfriend had the swordfish which I, of course, tried and it was delicious - very tender and slightly spicy. To drink I had a Caipirinha. I could really taste the Brazilian Cachaça which was nice as most Caipirinha's that I have had are more heavy on the rum. My boyfriend had the Port of Envy with Angel's Envy Rye and port. I'm not a whiskey/bourbon/rye fan so when he said it was great, I took his word for it! We also each had a bottle (I may have had 2!) of Goose Island Sofie. It was a very mild and delicious Belgian. I was very impressed with Seviche. I have to say, I was a bit surprised at the atmosphere. I thought that it would be more quiet but it was actually pretty lively with music by Pearl Jam, the Counting Crows and such being pumped through the restaurant. It was interesting! All in all, as you can see by 5 star review, I can't wait to go back!

Pricey but worth every bite. Guacamole is fresh, delicious and made right at the table. Tried duck for the first time with the duck nachos-- delicious!

Yes, it's expensive but their prices are listed on their website so diners shouldn't have sticker shock when they get the bill. That said, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional! We started with the duck nachos only because I had read so many good reviews. While I love duck, I also know how easy it is to ruin and can taste gamey in the wrong dish. Not only was the duck tender and delicious but the nachos were flaky perfection. My husband isn't a fan of duck but these won him over! My husband had the swordfish and finished every bite. He's very leery of most fish but said this was some of the best he'd eaten. I had the sea scallops which were huge! While there were only three, between those and the bed of spaghetti squash on which the scallops were place, I was very full. The service was attentive without being intrusive. I like the fact that the manager was constantly visible whether he was talking to patrons or picking up empty plates and glasses. He was constantly moving around and spoke very quietly to the servers. I have no idea what he said but I hate listening to loud managers who shout orders at the other employees.

Seviche and Louisville suprised me the variety and quality of food options! Seviche was recommended to us via another coworker and it didn't fail to satisfy us. To drink, I got the 2xIPA, which although based in NYC, I hadn't seen offered out in NYC. The double IPA was the perfect way to start the evening dinner. With our group, we decided to order table apps. We got the seviche tasting which offering a variety of options including chicken empanadas, tuna tartar, etc. For dinner, I had the mahi mahi tacos, which came with cabbage, pico de gallo and lime aoli. The mahi mahi was tender, perfectly seasoned and portioned appropriately for dinner!

(3)Ray M.

Visited with a friend a couple of weeks ago. Had the avocado dessert. Which was very artistically prepared! Sumptuous to eat I was very delighted with the atmosphere. Will return to partake of other entrées.
(5)Staci W.

Based upon the high number of good reviews, I figured that I had to try it out. I can confirm that the good reviews are all warranted. The flavor, creativity, and execution of the dishes are similar to what you'd see in large cities like NYC or Chicago. I started with the short rib tostada. While it was hard to eat, the flavors were all there. In addition to to the flavors on the tostada, there was a swirl of complimentary hot sauce on the plate that was equal parts visual and functional. The next appetizer was the pork belly, which was by far the best I've ever had. Amazing flavors. The final appetizer was the line caught tuna ceviche. It was flavorful, although it didn't taste different from any other lemongrass based dish I've had. For the entrée I had the Brazilian Moqueca, which is an amalgamation of all of their seafood offerings (muscles, scallops, ahi, salmon, calamari, halibut, etc.) served with carrot spears and a side of yellow rice. The scallops were the best cooked scallops I've ever had, and I order scallops regularly. They cut under the weight of a butter knife like they were air. If you're looking for an assortment of foods, this dish should be at the top of your list. In short, I highly recommend trying this restaurant to all foodies in the area. It is on par with any noteworthy big city restaurant.

(4)Nick H.

(5)Paul B.
ive not had better tasting fish anywhere else. its incredible. while anthony llamas is sort of a cheeseball and self-promoter, this place is incredible. ive enjoyed many great meals here and even had my rehearsal dinner in the private rooms when i got married. okay PROTIP: get the Moqueca. It is rarely on the menu but they will ask the kitchen if they can put it together. its a delicious coconut curry type broth with more delicious types of seafood than i could imagine. when we visited last, the entire party of four ordered the moqueca...a couple of us took home what we could finish..

it was ok. all was to salty for me. got 3 appetizers and tuna seviche, did order any main entry was already full. wine suggestion was great.

(4)Jenn L.
Despite a very loud noise level on a Friday night (well what do I expect?!) this place had amazing ceviche. It's on the pricier side considering the amount of food you get but Jesus God it was delicious. So delicious.
(5)Sofia J.

Everything is phenomenal. Great flavors, creative, amazing wine selection, expensive but worth every penny

This place has amazing food, I had the enchilada and seviche and it was wonderful! The service is also friendly and very good! I'll be coming back :)

You could literally close your eyes and point to something on the menu, and you'd be thrilled. Everything is simply amazing.

(4)Aaron T.
(5)Julie B.
Every bite was delicious! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the balmy early summer weather. Would definitely go back!
(5)Jeremy L.
Everything here that we had was amazing... Something for everyone, and is really good

I love the menu and the atmosphere here. This is one of my go to places. The service can be slow at times, but I just focus on the company I'm with at the time.

finally got around to writing a review about this restaurant and the experience that will be seared into my memory for years to come.

Had a wonderful time visiting family and friends this past weekend enjoying this wonderful restaurant. Would recommend it anytime. The seviche mussels tuna and wonderful leches dessert was fantastic! Good job and great people.

(5)Christina D.

My son's favoriate place to eat in Louisville. Never a bad meal. The steak is everyone's choice. They have a good vegie dish too.
(5)Wyman M.
As always, the food was excellent, but the best part was our server Christine. She suggested some fantastic wines and was very knowledgeable about the food...I highly recommend asking for her

4 Stars, would have been 5 but a little pricey for my drink. Had the Mahi Mahi tacos and my preferred mojito. Great, light meal-will be back.
(4)Jamie L.
Excellent! My wife and I were looking for a place to celebrate our 5th anniversary, and with Yelp's help we chose Seviche! Service, food & location were excellent! Will definitely visit again! Our entree selection was the Mahi Mahi Tacos & the Halibut!
(5)Mookie M.
Love the menu and execution of this restaurant's fare. Probably my favorite restaurant in Louisville because of the food.

I'm new to Louisville and happy I found Seviche. We will be returning!
(4)Diane K.
(3)Jeff J.
Lovely decor but a little overpriced for the quality of food.

(3)Aj S.
Absolutely delicious. One of my favorite restaurants. Ate here while in town for the derby and every single part of our meal was PHENOMENAL. Could not stop talking about it.
(5)Joe M.
(3)Jimmy M.
(5)Andrew W.
(5)Billy P.
(4)Elizabeth S.
Maybe.
(4)Gilford S.

(5)Laura M.
(5)Allison S.
(4)Jeff S.
(5)Tiffany B.
(5)Rich L.

(2)Gaz H.
Great execution. Modest portions will be especially pleasing if you are looking for something very tasty but don't want to be stuffed to the gills.
(5)Becky N.
One of the best restaurants in Louisville. Really wonderful fish and seafood dishes. Nice atmosphere. It would be perfect for a romantic date night.

we went to Seviche for dinner after an exhausting 3day artfair. after 2 dinners of mediocre food, we didn't have great expectations.
(5)dave w.
great food, cool environment. went here with family and got a bunch of items to share. very fresh and tasty fish with excellent sauces. nothing was too overdone in presentation. had a waiter that was a bit of a douche, but i'm going to assume he wasn't the best they had to offer. very nice addition to bardstown road.
(4)Ana J.
Great meal from start to finish! Tres Leches was delicious!
(5)Doug V.
Great place to eat and would really recommend to anyone.
(5)Jimmy S.
Latin inspired food at it's best. The "mugs" bistec (steak with chimichurri and fried egg) was delicious. I had the Fish taco seviche and my wife had oyster shooters. Both were excellent. This has become my new favorite restaurant.
(5)Dave S.
Ok so I had some sort of shrimp and it was pretty good, just spicy enough. I will come back here for the margaritas if for nothing else. Not too crowded for a Saturday night but I'm sure as the waether warms up and they bring back open seating it will certanly pick up.
(4)Tanya P.
I love this restaurant! They have the freshest seafood (thanks UPS)...and the actual seviche is tasty. I also love the fish tacos...mmm.
(5)Kerry A.
(4)James H.
I had the Churrascos De Argentina (skirt steak and red potato mash) and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was also excellent. I would have rated it 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable. Very good restaurant with quality service but you pay for the pleasure.
(4)Jerry E.
Great tuna and soap!
(4)Emily Y.
I give it a 3 1/2. The meal was good, but because the portions were so small, our party of four ended up ordering so many things that by the end of the night, our bill was quite large! But this was a fun choice for dinner to sample many different tastes.
(4)Benham S.
(5)Reta W.
(4)Liz L.
Love the fish tacos! Love the empinatias (can't spell). Love the ceviche sampler! Very romantic and classy. Light dinner unless you get like a steak or large portion but we go for the ceviche. My favorite date spot!
(5)Sarah C.
(5)Craig S.
(3)Christin Y.
(5)Stacy A.
(1)Ray T.
Very unusual and loved it. We had the Tuna Tistadidos for appetizers and the Moqueque (spelling) for an entre and lived it all. Very fresh and great great taste. Also had the Oregon Pino Noir as they had some great wines in the list.
(5)Virginia B.
(5)Lala C.
(2)Maribel W.
Stopped in because of the good reviews. We were not disappointed. Everything our group ordered was fresh and delicious. Service was just as good. Don't know when we will be back in Louisville but will definitely come back if we get the chance.
(5)Mitch H.
(4)Bart D.
We love this place! The service is great in the dining room or the bar. The ceviche offerings are incredible as are the main entrees.
(5)Z-ski 3.
Must try!!! One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Very fresh and unique. Top 1 or 2 restaurants on Bardstown Road or in highlands.
(5)Matt w.
One of the best in Bardstown area. Try the grilled Octopus Amazing.
(4)Jeff Q.
I could go on for quite a while about my experience but will instead just say that it has a long time since I enjoyed a dining experience this much. The service was awesome and the food was incredible. This is one of those rare places where the food and flavors are more art than science.
(5)David I.
(4)Lindsey V.
(3)Laura C.
Seviche's food is really delicious, and the restaurant has a very cool atmosphere both inside and out. Also, the pisco sour there is quite nice. I am from out of town but will be back!
(5)Kay W.

(4)Randal R.
(4)Juanita G.

(4)John D.
(5)Ronald B.
It will be hard to find better food anywhere! Incredible FLAVOR in every dish. Even the desserts have such flavor that you will not be able to order just one and share ... Order one for each person at the table. The atmosphere is not as warm and romantic as I would prefer, and the service is good but not over the top.
(4)Ellen D.
Delicious, dream about your next meal kinda food. Large portions for a "fancy" place- great date spot or celebration spot. I've never tried something here I didn't love!
(5)Donna B.
(5)Emily M.
(5)Trevor W.
Was driving down Bardstown Road early and decided to stop into Serviche as we could beat the rush and sit at the bar as we called for reservations but nothing was available. Uses the valet parking as we did not want to search for a parking space. Food was great if pricey. We did the 3 cerviche tasting with the Bourbon old fashioned tuna, oyster bloody Mary shooters, and Crab. It was very good and what we expected from it. Highly recommend the tasting. I did the duck nachos as a meal and my fiancé did a seafood medely type dish. The duck was OK but the seafood dish was great. All in all a good night and a good meal.

(4)Bob D.
Bourbon tuna seviche was amazing. Great upscale atmosphere. 80's music and doo woo was questionable but it all worked.
(5)Kristen W.
I guess hubs beat me to this review, but I'll give my 2 cents. I had very high expectations for my experience at Seviche. It was the third of my three "birthday dinners" (I'm a very lucky girl) and while I expected great things, I only received good, sometimes mediocre things. First, no one seemed happy with their cocktails except my SIL who ordered a mojito. My pisco sour was far too sour, Hubs' bourbon drink looked watered down when it was delivered to the table, and tasted of nothing more than watery whisky, maybe with a few glugs of bitters. I debated ordering a mojito, but then was glad I didn't when we got the bill and saw they were priced in the double digits. Expected at a restaurant with a great cocktail program, but here, that's a few dollars more than I would like to pay for what I get. Our 5 seviche tasting was very good, but the flavors were all similar over the 5 plates. Everyone seemed to enjoy their entrees just fine, but no one raved about them. My chimichanga was very large and tasted good, but wasn't extra special or memorable. I finished one half and when they wrapped the other half for me to take home, they didn't include any of the sauce or rice, leaving me with a dry, sad lunch. Sauce is important component to a dish, and I find it strange that they wouldn't include it. The Kahlua Creme Brûlée was the best thing I ate. While I didn't taste all of the flavors described, it was a nice sweet treat to end our meal. Usually service doesn't make or break a meal for me, but the service here was just so strange and frustrating. Our waitress seemed extra friendly to other tables around us - staying around chatting, telling stories, but when she got to our table she wouldn't even look anyone in the eye and seemed like she was trying to get out of there as soon as possible. It honestly soured me to the whole experience and put me in a bad mood the rest of the night. Overall, the quality and freshness of the food were highlights, but couldn't overcome the price and spotty service. I'm willing to try again at some point and update my review, but I won't be suggesting a big night out here anytime soon.
(3)Richard I.
Very nice meal. Had the Churrascos de Argentina, great steak. My wife had one of the special, a veggie sandwich. She was mildly disappointed. We did the whole menu, apps, seviche, salad, main course, dessert. Will go back but it won't be a go to place.
(4)Kellyo O.
Rediculiously overpriced but the clams are to die for. Plan on drinking the juice (and flipping off anyone that frowns on you for it!!) :)
(2)Jim B.
(5)Kevin G.
(5)Dan G.
