I was eating there later on in the evening during a non busy time. My friend and I were sitting at the sushi bar, waiting on our food. I watched the sushi chef making our rolls, he turned his back for a moment and a slice of fish rolled off the sushi onto the ground. He proceeded to pick it up off the ground, and put it back on the roll. I was stunned at this point and asked him if he planned on serving me that roll. He acted as if nothing had happened and I let him know that I saw it fall on the floor and saw him put it back on there. He then took off the piece that fell on the floor, finished making the roll, and put it on our plate. I was absolutely shocked that he would not only put it back on the plate, but then take it off and serve the roll that had been contaminated by the piece that fell on the ground. If it wasn't late at night with little else open, I would have left at this point. I called over the manager and explained the situation. He apologized and let us know that he would have him make us a new roll. The sushi chef and the manager then went in the back and shouted at each other for a moment, and the chef returned and apologized to my friend and myself. Manager comped our saki. Food was decent, waiter was great, they need a new chef and manager though.
