I can't speak for the service since I have only had take out. They are always very nice and quick. We live in Indiana and will drive out to Sala Thai. It is that good. Best in town for us. Only place I can get pad prik king with good spice. My wife loves the pad Thai with chicken. She is very picky with Thai but is addicted to Sala Thai.

First time trying Thai - I was a little nervous. I tried the yellow chicken curry (medium spice) with steamed rice. The food was delicious, and very fresh. Not too hot, but I'd be a little afraid to go any hotter. The atmosphere was very nice, and quiet. Our waitress was nice and came to check on us frequently. Will definitely be coming back again!

Great coconut lemon grass soup, pad Thai and spring rolls. My wife and I order two soups two orders of spring rolls and split one order of pad Thai and we can barely eat it all. Great food, simple service, easy going staff. We went in during the snow and ice storm last week. Not sure they would be open so we called ahead. No one was on the road, and the driving was unsafe. Not surprisingly we were the only people there. The waitress asked if we were the couple who called ahead because they stayed open in the storm just for us! That's service! When we finished eating they left with us to face the storm. This is the kind of place and great food that makes me want to go back over and over. I could eat here every week.

Quite a pleasant surprise to find this place. Small dining room, people very friendly & happy to serve us. Pad Thai was excellent, curry pineapple chicken great flavor. Shrimp soup very good too! Chicken satay very good with terrific peanut sauce. Will frequent this place often. Don't expect Chinese or Japanese this is real Thai!:)

If you go, you will love it! I have tried several Thai restaurants in Louisville, Kentucky and so far this is my absolute favorite! Sala Thai is located in the Glenmary Plaza almost in the middle of the strip behind Chase bank & Outback. When you walk in, the restaurant is small and the decor & seating is simple but clean and bright with lots of natural light. This place is family owned and operated and the recipes are all authentic to the family or spins on original recipes (I am assuming). There are different levels of spicy offered, I tend to do medium. My favorite dishes are Pad Woon Sen Gai & the vegetarian version of Pad Keemow Nuea minus the tofu with an addition of shrimp. I also pretty much always get the fried chicken spring rolls. I highly recommend you making a stop here if you are in Louisville and are craving Thai food! It will be worth the drive to Fern Creek!

Sala Thai is a confusing place. If you Google map them it will take you down past the restaurant another mile. After speaking with the manager I learned they used to be True Thai about 2 years ago and had an ownership and name change but I digress.... The food is good. Authentic Thai cooking is going on in the kitchen. The lady that answers the phone occasionally confuses me with her misunderstanding of the menu but it is all good. The menu is not online so that is a bit of a negative but I now have the take out menu in my stack of menu at home so I am prepared. I am just glad to have a close by Thai restaurant!

Yummy Thai Food!! Local neighborhood Thai restaurant. My lunch was delicious and a great deal! Service is spotty and lots of yelling from the kitchen makes me want to learn the Thai Language . I will be back for lunch or dinner, it is well worth the drive out to Fern Creek/Glenmary Area.

Great little Thai place close to home. It's located in a little strip mall by Glennmary Subdivision. Parking was easy and close to the door. The size of the restaurant is small, there were approximately 10 small tables, the atmosphere and decor was simple, but clean. The young lady that waited on us was very nice and helpful when we were asking about the menu choices. I got the sweet and sour chicken (added some spice). Food was at our table within 10 minutes after ordering. The portions were moderate and would fill most people up, though I was very hungry that day and could have eaten a little more. The taste was excellent and on par with my favorite Thai Restaurant in Sebring FL. Most meals were between $9-$12, drinks were $2. I had tea, my wife had water, our total bill was $21. Overall, I think this is a great little restaurant with good service. It strikes me more as a carry out, or lunch time place rather than a Saturday night out with a date or spouse. Food was very good, price was fair. I will definitely eat here again.

Oh so happy to find this place. Who would have thought this modest place in Fern Creek would be serving what might just be best Thai food in Louisville area. Worth making the drive out Bardstown Road for sure.

I went there for lunch. I had Pad Grapao Talay. Btw i'm from Thailand and i can say this restaurant is real Thai. I've been to some Thai restaurant in the US and this restaurant is the most delicious for me. I felt like i had Thai food in Thailand! I recommend you guys to go there and try their food. But if you dont like spicy food that much you should tell the server about that first cause as you know some of Thai dishes are really spicy.

Wow! I love Thai food but this place has got to be the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN TOWN!!!!!!!!!! I won't go into the story, you can contact me if you really feel you need it. Absolutely ridiculous how I was treated. And hopefully the girl behind the counter can get the mental help she really needs. :(

Great Thai food. I used to think I didn't like Thai food until I ate here. I have loved everything I've tried so far. My husband loves Thai food and says this is the best place he's tried in Louisville. The only thing is they always LOOK closed, but they're not! Good service and great food. I definitely recommend it!

Just south of the Gene Snyder on Bardstown road is this nice little Thai place. Buried in a strip mall it is pretty easy to miss. The lunch menu is pretty short. A couple noodle dishes, a couple of rice dishes and a curry of the day. The back side of the menu is vegetarian versions of the same dishes. I wonder if they leave out the fish sauce for vegetarians? Im guessing not. Lucky for me one of the offerings was Beef Pad Khee Mao. I ordered it Thai spicy and while not so hot that I would call it Thai hot, it was pretty spicy. The sauce was a pretty good balance of sweet, salt and sour. They didn't go overboard with the sugar. I am not a fan of that. The noodles were nice and chewy and there was a good amount of beef. All this for $6.00. Quite a deal. You can add a spring roll or a salad for $1 more. I was a little sad that there weren't any soups on the lunch menu. Oh well. I've been on a search for really good Thai food and while this place is good, my search continues.

We found this little Thai place on a whim and have been back several times now. We have liked everything we've gotten. I'm especially partial to curries, and enjoyed the green curry quite a bit. Tried the Jungle Curry last time-- when she tells you it comes hot, believe her! Definitely stop by if you're looking for a quiet, tasty, and cheap meal. Oh, and try the Thai iced tea. Perfect.
