Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

We almost didn't try this restaurant, because D said, "it's in a strip shopping center--how good could it be?" His Tuscan Chicken Panini on wheat had big chunks of real chicken, and my hand-tossed Margherita Pizza was also fresh and savory. Loved the sides of fresh fruit salad and black pepper chips, in a bowl, not a bag. Yum.

Wow, what a change the past few months. Two substandard visits in a row. Soggy "thin & crispy" pizza with unmelted cheese, "soupy" regular pizza with ingredients migrating to the middle with a crust that literally split horizontally! Overdressed and messy salads. No more wheat crust. All now more expensive! There must have been a change in management or supplier. Too big of a difference not to be a systematic problem. Bye-bye Rocky's, hello BoomBozz - at least I know what I will get for the money.

We got carryout from here last night, it was nothing special. We got a thin crust 'classic' which had red onion pepperoni and sausage. It was pretty bland and the crust was soggy. We also got a buffalo chicken pizza with the original crust and it was good, but there wasn't anything buffalo about it! It had chicken, banana peppers burnt bacon and a tiny little drizzle of hot sauce that you couldn't even taste. It had nice flavors but it shouldn't have been called buffalo. We did enjoy the hand tossed crust, and the prices were pretty reasonable. But I probably won't be back anytime soon especially with other great places around

Here for Saturday night dinner. Very few people in dining room. Place is less than clean. All tables need to be wiped off. Floor swept. Looks like they do a lot of carry out. The kitchen needs a mop. Pizza was just ok.

The Turkey bruschetta panini is delicious. Nice decor. Friendly service. For take-out call ahead because the wait can be lengthy.
(4)Jim G.
Adequate? Underwhelming? The pizza here is A-OK but in a town flooded with outstanding options in pizza I can't imagine intentionally choosing Rocky's over any of them unless I happened to be nearby. I do like getting pizza by the slice (which believe it or not used to be hard to do in Louisville) and like I said, the slice here is A-OK (e.g. 3 star pizza).

Greeted by a friendly staffer who helped me with my order right away. Nice new comfy decor and a great menu selection. I ordered the 8" Supreme(cut Black Olives/add Jalepenos). It arrived within ten minutes and was DELICIOUS! The only knock might be - the toppings were ON TOP of the cheese so they fell off at will. I actually prefer it that way but others may not. They have a vast beer selection that I'd like to explore sometime when I'm not on lunch-break from work.

This place is a little gem! Super great prices and even more delicious food!! The chicken Caesar pizza is incredible. The Mexican chipotle pizza is delicious! My favorite has to be the sausage grape Gorgonzola pizza which is out of this world!! Grapes on pizza...AMAZING!!
(5)Aaron E.
Picking up some lunch before work. Got their Caesar salad. Awesome front of house service. Very friendly.
(3)Corey H.
Underwhelmed, fresh baked panini bread was disappointing. However, the gluten free crust is one of the best in town. The service was friendly but disorganized and seemed somewhat inexperienced. The beer selection was nice for a pizzeria. The price simply wasn't worth it.

First, I've now had a handful of lunches here and the people that work in this restaurant are ALWAYS very helpful & courteous. The food is good for most any lunch crowd and the portions will leave you full. Good pizza, good salads and good paninis. When it comes to a dinner restaurant I prefer a little more, I hope that makes sense.
(3)Rakesh G.
Solid pizza for the price. The pepperoni and sausage have lots of flavor. We met up here for a friend's birthday and the staff was super nice.
(4)Robert P.
Save ten or twelve bucks and go to Little Caesar's. It's not bad. It's just a Little Caesar's Pizza.
(2)Cristiane K.
I had a delicious 1/2 ham & cheese panini plus a 1/2 Cobb salad for less than $10. The portion sizes are very generous, so I had lunch and I'm taking dinner to go. I'll definitely come back.
(5)Madd F.
Over all we have been to the place..many times and reelly loved it for a while..but its quality is gone down a bit as fas as portions and food and food stuffs.. over all a three star place..
(3)Carolyn W.
They still have their great deals on pizzas but the quality is going down. I ordered a plant-based, no cheese, gluten-free crust pizza and it was so greasy that there was oil on the pan and that oily after taste in the mouth. The gluten free crust is very thin (I think it was not always this thin). I went with someone else and they brought out my pizza at least 5 minutes before his (meat-lovers with everything, very different than mine). This is kind of awkward when dining together--though we are family and deal with it. The staff was cordial but not really friendly. No one came by to ask if everything was okay and we had to go get our own boxes when it was time to leave. They were not that busy so it was not a staffing issue. I previously gave this establishment 5 stars (and I tend to be rather picky) so I think they have declined in service and quality.
(3)Darrick A.
Ricky's is a great place to grab a slice dine in or carry out. The service is always fast and the accommodations are adequate. I can't comment on the pasta as I have yet to try it but it looks delicious. Their is a great selection of thin crust or hand tossed and the price is hard to beat.
(4)Lu D.
Only ordered a slice and that was enough to convince me not to return. The crust tasted like frozen manufactured, and the dark spots on top of the pizza could not possibly pass for cheese.
