Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is excellent, the prices are decent, and the staff is so friendly. Their chips arent the best, but they're still pretty good. The salsa more than makes up for them. Its some of the freshest tasting salsa I've ever had from a restaurant. I honestly dont understand how this place doesnt have more reviews. Its delicious!

Tried the new Steak con Papas today for lunch. It was excellent and make sure your hungry because it is a large amount of food. Had to take half of it home in a To-Go Box. Definitely a good try.

I always get my food to go when I come here because I am a grown-up with a job and apparently I need to be there for eight hour stretches to help paying customers. I've always enjoyed my prompt, correct orders from Pina Fiesta and I'd love to say my co-workers do as well but there is always one or two people who have their orders wrong. I keep telling them they're sending the wrong person to pick up the food but eventually they'll learn to send someone who doesn't visit the bar - which is excellent - while waiting on the food. And really, the most important thing to me is that while everyone makes mistakes it's the ability to fix those mistakes that separates the men from the boys (men would never admit mistakes and boys haven't yet mastered the 'manly' art of "What? Huh?" We're each of us pigs). They admit they got it wrong, we send someone to get the right food and everything is okay. Sure, I miss Mexico Tipico and if this were the ending of "the Good Son" and I'm holding Mexico Tipico in one hand and someone else in each hand Mexico Tipico is Elijah Wood all day long but Mexico Tipico is gone, we can't have nice things. I liked my food and the service is great but for the price I'd go anywhere else that was clean. They don't do a good job with large take-out orders and that's essentially what I do at lunch time.

Been back to Piña Fiesta a few times since my first post. The food and service have always been good. But had to post something that happened on our last visit. A small child say 4 or 5 was running around the restaurant. Obviously one of the owners or staff's kids. While this was a little annoying what really concerned me was that this little kid was rolling a ball of what looked like play doh all over the floor, stepping on it, rubbing it all over his face. And here's the problem, after all that rolling it a crossed a number of tables in the dinning room. One word GROSS!!! Hope someone at the restaurant reads this. This should not be happening. I'm all for family but this is a business. Don't loose sight of that.

This is my first time and I am pleased. We had a table of 8 people on a very busy day. I don't know of anyone that had a complaint about their meal, I certainly didn't. Food was tasty, and plentiful. The waiter offered refills and checked our table several times to make sure all was going right. There was a little hesitation with getting our tab so we could check out, but the place was full and the waiters were moving. I'll go back.

One word, "Homemade salsa!" Oh wait, that was two. This is a hidden little gem down on the Southside that will give any restaurant in the trendy Hiighlands a run for their money. Big beers, cold margaritas, great food at a good price are just a few reason you should check it out.

Great food! Always hot and fresh food, the BEST Strawberry Margaritas! My husband and I have eaten here several times since we moved to PRP area. Awesome Atmosphere, I love that sometimes they have live music!

Very unheralded Mexican. Good food, better service, and even better salsa.
