Why do I love coming here? It's always open late. After a long day we head here to unwind. We come here with the kids too and they like the kids make their own pizza night. They have a great menu and we've never had a bad experience. We love the appetizers and the Italian Nachos are a must try. Staff is always friendly and service is great, even late. Crazy huge extensive beer list and almost anything you can imagine to drink.

Yummmm. I am not sure how else to describe the meal we had here. It was seriously just so good. This is a chain but there is not a location anywhere close to where I live so I was excited to try something I can't get at home while visiting my sister. It was busy when we arrived on a Saturday night but we managed to snag a table in the bar area fairly quick. We decided to start with the peppered bacon smothered fries. These are AMAZING. Just get them. Now. We almost went back the next day to get just these! Then, after some debate, we decided to get two pizzas, both deep dish, from some of their suggested combinations, we got the Italian grinder and the chicken artichoke pizza. Both were phenomenal! I am in love with the artichoke one but my other dining companions raved about how much they liked the grinder pizza. I think no matter what you like here, the deep dish pizza will impress. We did order the ice cream sandwiches as a dessert, the cookies were on the hard side and the ice cream kept wanting to fall out, so while it tasted pretty good [hard to mess up a chocolate chip cookie] these were nothing to get excited about and probably would not get again. Other things to note: Service is friendly but sometimes a bit slow but this is probably because she was very busy. I tried I think was called tailgate punch? It was Blue Moon with citrus vodka and OJ, I believe, this was delicious and went well with pizza! Oh and the pizza reheats well!

Mediterranean Salad was great as usual. I got the Thai pie thin crust like always. It was awesome but could have been better if it was hot. I come here all the time and it's always great. I would have given it a 5 star any other time but this time my pizza was semi warm. Maybe I will change it in the future.

Service was incredibly slow, BUT my salad was surprisingly large, fresh, and healthy for a pizza/sports bar chain. This is an okay place to hang out with the boys for some football. Also, they have great happy hour prices and those buffalo chicken rolls are dangerously yummy.

It only gets a 1 star for the free wifi. The prices, quality and attention to detail is subpar. No wonder the service is awful. This place isn't even worth a second chance.

NCAA tournament - expect to be busy but not expect to see open tables, staff watching the game and being told you can't sit down because management said kitchen behind and "I can't seat anyone until manager says so". Forget sitting and having drink while watching game. I told hostess to tell manager we were going to Wicks at Goose Creek - doubt she did - didn't seem to care. BTW - got immediate service and seat at Wicks. If this is Old Chicago's policy and are ok with management's handling have no desire to spend my money there.

Did my research on yelp thought this would be a winner but honestly the WORST calzone ever!!!!! Dough under cooked with spice sprinkled on top. Too much pepperoni made it greasy and barely edible.

Damn this was good pizza. When you really crave pizza and you want some good stuff, this is it. We had a pizza loaded with just about everything you could think of and it was outstanding. Couple that with prompt service during a dinner rush and you got a place worth visiting again. On a return trip I had a chicken/avocado salad and really expected to be let down. But it too was excellent and something I would gladly order again.

I've been here for 3 or 4 weekday lunches. I like this place just fine and will continue to have the occasional lunch here but there's just nothing that has wowed me either. I like their soup and salad lunch (unlimited, with yummy breadsticks) and my friends that get the pizza buffet lunch give it a general thumbs up. The soup quality varies though- the chicken tortilla was mediocre with fatty, ho-hum chicken bits. The tomato basil though is really really good. I'm not even that much of a tomato soup fan but it was very tasty, thick and perfect for breadstick dipping. Salads are salads, hard to mess that one up and the option of ceasar or house is nice. Pizza buffet has several choices along with pizza roll type things and you get fresh chocolate chip cookies afterwards. Service has been pretty blah every time. Nearly empty restaurant, staff person standing there can't seat us, waitress/waiter not attentive to the empty salad or soup dishes and such. Not bad service per se, just not good service either and since not one of the times I have been here has it been busy in the least, I wonder how it fares when the server has more than 2 tables to deal with. The servers have all been friendly and pleasant though so it is possible it is in part a kitchen issue for speed of refills and such. Beer selection looks great, I have not sampled any (weekday lunches, remember?) but those that have say all's well in the beer category.

The tagline for this restaurant is "Eat, Drink, Be yourself," and you definitely can at Old Chicago. Great selection, great service, and a great atmosphere made my visit to the new "Old Chicago" restaurant an experience worth repeating. The Beer List is extensive, with brews from all over the country and a huge selection of local drinks that go perfectly with a pizza or calzone meal. We noticed none of the hang-ups that many new restaurants experience (slow waitstaff, food not cooked quite perfectly) but instead had prompt and friendly service from a waitstaff team, memorable and tasty meals, and a festive (but not too loud) atmosphere. The decor was fun, with booths lining the walls (covered in pictures of the Windy City), and the ceiling was the right height not to feel too confining, but also not so high that the dining room felt drafty and echoing. Ironically, nobody in my party ordered pizza. Someone did get a Calzone, and the bite he shared with me was very tasty - soft dough, creamy mozzarella cheese, and vegetable and meat fillings in just the right proportions to make every bite a good one. 3 people at my table got Fish and Chips, and while they didn't share any of the fish with me, the thick-cut steak fries and malt vinegar were cooked to the right heat and consistency to make one tasty piece of potato! We dined early - around 5 - and had no problem getting in with a large party. By 7 when we left the place was filling up, so I would go early or try to call ahead/reserve if you want to make sure you get a seat on a weekend night. Even if pizza is not your thing, the excellent waitstaff and extensive menu will make for an enjoyable trip to Old Chicago!

The pizza here is great but the main attraction for me are the nachos. However, after getting some nachos that were very good, I was told they changed the way they make them. I hope they go back to the old way since the nachos were the main reason I liked going there.

Yum! I'm a fan. Old Chicago was a college staple for me, and I love when one of my friends suggest we go there. Their speciality is pizza, although I rarely order it. I love the airy spacious booths (you could easily fit 6 people, maybe even 8). What goes great with pizza? Beer! Old Chicago as a World Beer Tour. Patrons get rewards for the more beer they try. (I haven't researched this lately, so check the rules before you get started or ask your server). Prizes include several store paraphernalia and when you finish - after 110 - your name gets added to the "Wall of Foam." They used to also have "mini tours" that were seasonal (St.Patty's Day, Oktoberfest) where you can complete a few beers for a t-shirt. Usually they only let you have 4 beers per visit so it may take you awhile :) ...back to what you really real know. Here is whats up - if you love calzones, these are huge and delicious. Pizzas - Meat Me and the Thai Pie (no longer on the menu, but you can still order it). BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING...is the Italian Nachos and the Pepperoni rolls. Italian nachos are heaping fried chips with sausage, cheese, and peppers with marinara. Pepperoni rolls - plump and delicious, will be a hit! There is another way to order them (also off the menu) is buffalo chicken rolls. I order these for my meal because I cannot resist.

Get the chi-town appetizer. The Italian nachos and the Sicilian pepperoni rolls are out of this world. My wife is allergic to all tree nuts and peanuts and they can accommodate her allergy. She gets the calzone and it get a pizza. We both go home full and happy. What more could you want!

Awesome, very extensive beer list and a great place to watch a game. The bar area has tons of big screen HD TVs and the staff will gladly change one to your game of choice if you ask. Having said that, what they advertise as 'deep dish' Chicago pizza is nowhere close to the real thing. Seriously, what deep dish pizza is ready in 15 minutes? If you've ever been to Chicago and eaten at Pizzeria UNO, Giordano's or Gino's East and expect anything close to this you will be seriously disappointed. If you enjoy Pizza Hut's deep dish pizza you've come to the right place.

As a seasoned World Beer Tour member from my college days at Iowa State, I was happy to see that Old Chicago had made its way down to Louisville as well. Take the convenient Westport Rd location and the fact that our Alumni Association makes this the spot for football gamewatches and I was stoked. Then came the Octoberfest Mini-Beer Tour last year. I went not once, but twice to complete this, drinking four beers at each sitting with food...sure it's a hefty tab each time buying these beers at full retail price and the food's not cheap either, but I figured as long as I got a T-Shirt and a few more check-marks off my WBT card I was good. Well, I got the WBT credit, but just an IOU for the shirt, with a promise to shoot me an e-mail when it was in stock for me to pick up. Never received the e-mail. Called back, and they said to stop by and they could likely get me one if I came in that night, so I did. I also had a free medium pizza waiting on my card that I'd received an e-mail about that was supposedly only redeemable on Tuesday though the day was Monday. I asked if they'd accept it anyway, and I got a resounding "yes". However, after eating the pizza and drinking some beer, I asked for my shirt and the check, and the waiter informed me that there were none of the shirts that I'd been promised, and that the free pizza was only good on Tuesday, that whoever informed me of that was mistaken. I was unhappy. Never got my shirt, and stayed away for a year until college football came around again and now I get to watch ISU football there again. For my money, I'd much rather frequent a less expensive local joint for my pizza and beer rather than this impersonal chain that has gimmicky promises of free stuff, but little follow-through.

Tried this place at the urging of the fine hotel staff at the Hampton...and I'm glad I did. The meet meat calzone was dynamite and huge with a really good side of homemade marinara. They have a decent beer selection, although more were in bottles than on draft (I prefer draft). Mo behind the bar gave great ideas for both beer and food and was really nice to talk with. Go check this joint out.

So, this is my first review, take it with a grain of garlic. However, I use Yelp all the time; the fact that this place made me write a review should speak for itself. Loved it! It's a very laid back atmosphere; good for whatever you happen to be wearing. Service was quick and friendly and the draft beer special hit the spot. They have a huge variety of beer, so even the finicky can have their favorite. We had the pizza. Now, I've never had actual Chicago deep dish pizza. So without a comparison experience, I can only say that the flavor was fantastic. Excellent blend of sauce, stringy mozzarella cheese, and toppings. If I weren't traveling on a rare stop in Louisville, Ky, I would definitely be coming back for a repeat.

Stopped in for lunch on a very hot day. The beer list is large enough to satisfy pretty much everyone. I had the lunch special which was pizza and a side salad. Pretty good deal for 10 bucks. We've been here before with a very large group of people (about 16) after a girls field hockey game. With multiple checks and young kids to deal with the wait staff did a stellar job of being attentive and spot on with orders. I was impresses especially since our waiter was fresh out of high school.

Went here for some college football and beer and were not disappointed. We sat at the bar where our server, a lively little firecracker named Moe, entertained us and kept the drinks coming. There was a large group of Iowa State Alum in the crowd, as well as Louisville fans and Michigan fans... and one lonely WKU alum (me.) However, sitting at the bar with numerous televisions, they accommodated every single one of us and made every game desired available. Awesome. The beer selection is to die for. So many options on tap and by the bottle, you are likely to be satisfied. They also offer World Beer Tour cards (special offers, awarded for drinking a lot of beer, etc.) My boyfriend is a member and we redeemed an offer he had received for a free pizza during his birthday month. YUM. The thick crust and greasy pepperoni was just what the doctor ordered to help tame me on my attempt to tackle all the awesome beers available.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
