I was unimpressed with the new French menu. My breakfast today was mediocre at best. The Lyonnaise Benedict looked better in the menu than it did on my plate. The potato cakes were mushy and the hollandaise sauce had too much lemon in it. The waiter was more concerned with defending the cook than offering me some alternatives to improve my meal. I should've chosen the Panera Bread next-door where I have found consistently good food. While I have had positive experiences with Mimi's Cafe in California, I do not foresee myself returning to the one on Hurstbourne Parkway anytime soon.

Though this is a chain, it's definitely a must-visit if you are in an area that has a Mimi's. I come here anytime I have a need a place to meet a group of friends or host family dinner for out of towners. With a New Orleans decor and menu, Mimi's is different than other chain restaurants in that the food is not only delicious, but comes with amazing and hot extra large muffins, corn bread, or cinnamon bread. Out of the world and worth every penny. My personal favorite is the blue cheese and cranberry salad, which is big enough to feed me for 3 days straight (and has!). Give yourself a little extra time for seating on the weekends, or call ahead for a reservation if you are of a larger group.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner. We started with onion soup and corn chowder. He had broiled shrimp with asparagus and I had chicken ravioli. For dessert I had bread pudding. Out of this world! Wonderful and wonderful service.

Updating to add that my brunch meal today included cold, rubbery scrambled eggs. I doubt they're using real eggs, but probably an egg substitute. Not good. I just didn't eat mine. The bacon, though, was sublime. Crispy, tasty, perfection. Server today was Ceciley, and she ROCKED.

Last time I visited this place (last year), it was FILTHY. There was part of a bug in my salad and a hundred ants in the ladies bathroom. Sick. Granted, the waitress was super nice and apologetic and took my meal off the bill - but seriously sick.

I ate two meals here.I had breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was by far the best. Nothing fancy, just your basic breakfast foods.Service seemed a bit off as the waitress couldnt remember our drink orders, then brings wrong drinks, then dissapears. She also forgot my toast!! How dare her.Anyway overall it was just ok and nothing special.
