First, nice, friendly staff. It seems like a great work environment and everyone was ready with a smile and wanted to ensure I was taken care of and doing well. 5 stars for them. I ordered the 10 piece rib dinner. The ribs, tender, the right amount of smokiness and full flavor. I tried the 3 sauces, but just felt they were all a little too sweet and watery. For sides, I had the green beans, sweet corn and baked beans. I know, I know, why didn't I get Mac and cheese? Well I already had excellent Mac and cheese at Pascals in Atlanta. Hard to top that and decided to go veggie. The sides were ok- green beans needed a little more fatback, sweet corn was dry and baked beans, just needed more flavor. Overall, very good experience, great ribs, wasn't high on the sauces or sides. Great staff and clean restaurant.

Just ok. Everything is fine but nothing is remarkable.

Lots of favorites here at Mark's Feed Store - sweet tea, pulled pork, potato salad and green beans. In fact, no restaurant has green beans like Mark's! Service has always been friendly and fairly quick. We love Kids Eat Free on Tuesday - you can get (2) kids meals with (1) adult meal. Restaurant is clean, but seats aren't super comfortable (it's the "look", wooden chairs, etc.) and it's crowded because they pack in too many tables.

I love the Middletown location. It's rustic like, in a barn like building. Service always is great ! It's my favorite BBQ in Louisville !! It's on the top of my list of restaurants in Louisville! Dress is very casual. My fav is the onion straws and brisket .

Okay bbq. Some things are better than other. The sandwiches are not bad. It's a chain.

3 stars doesn't seem like a good review, but this place truly was A-OK. We like BBQ places and everyone has their favorites. The ribs were good, brisket was a little dry but still good. The sides were generous and tasty. It's not the best BBQ we've ever had but far from the worst (looking at you, Dickey's). If we were in the neighborhood while traveling through Louisville, we'd stop again but wouldn't go out of our way.

There are a lot of places to eat barbecue in Louisville. I have tried a lot of them. I keep coming back to Marks. Their ribs are the fall off the bone type and really don't need any additional sauce That is when you know you have found a good one. Prices are extremely reasonable and I go a lot on Tuesday because of the free buttermilk pie. Frankly the pie is so reasonably priced anyway hardly is a reason to go. The baked beans and the fried corn on the cob make for a complete meal for under $20. This is a winner every time. You are always assured the same quality each time and the service is quick and friendly. If you have to wait hang out because they move quick here. Love it!

The three of us ate for $30 and since it was monday we had free dessert. The service was great just like the food. Never disappointed at a Marks.

It had been years since I had eaten here, so I decided to stop by for a carry out pulled pork sandwich. I love BBQ and frequently order it at other restaurants. I have to say, I was surprised that I really didn't care for the flavor of their pork. I thought it had a strange flavor about it which I couldn't put my finger on. The BBQ sauces were just ok and didn't change my opinion of the sandwich. I ordered the mac and cheese and burgoo as sides. The burgoo was better than the mac and cheese, I thought. I also sampled the pasta salad which was delicious and the potato salad which was also very good. Friendly and fast at the counter, so I will try this again another time and just not order the pulled pork!

This place has awesome food, but what truly makes it stand out is the AMAZINGLY service. From the moment we walked in to the time we finished, we truly felt welcome. Our server Mary was fantastic. We eat out all the time and seldom do we have someone so diligent and attentive. Definitely try the Buttermilk Pie. It is very sweet, so maybe try a slice and split it. Skip all the crappy chain places and enjoy a meal here when you're in town!

We have known the owners here for many years. The whole crew is great and we love coming here after church. Today they took our kids to the kitchen and let them fix their own ice cream bowls. Highly recommend Mark's Feed Store.

Not sure about the hype. I am a BBQ snob so that may play into this. I just didn't find anything special here. The ribs were fine and the pork and brisket were kinda dry. I enjoyed the Mac and cheese and the service was wonderful. It has a nice diner atmosphere but I think the pricing sits a little too far out if the family realm.

We're in town for a lacrosse tournament and wanted something we did t have at home. This hit the spot. Our server, Maggie, was the best server I have had anywhere in a long time. She was friendly and knowledgeable about everything. True southern hospitality and charm! My son had the burger which was delicious (I snuck a bite). My husband had the ribs and he loved them. I had pulled pork and it was good but a tad dryer than I prefer but my husband disagreed with me. My favorites were their cornbread and the fried pickles. I would definitely recommend Mark's Fees Store to anyone wanting a delicious meal and fabulous service.

Always delicious. The burgoo reminds me of my grandmother and Derby time at the original Chow Wagon. I'm never disappointed by food or service at Mark's. If you love bbq, you'll love this place. And the buttermilk pie is beyond words.

Stopped by to take advantage of the 502 Lunch Week. I have always had great service and good food when I have eaten here in the past. And today at lunch time was no different. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered my meal to go, as I had a lot to do at the office and didn't really have time to sit and have my meal there as I would prefer. I would have called in my order, but I did not see the 502 Lunch Week menu online, that would be the only thing that I might say could have been better, that way I didn't really have to wait for my meal, but the wait was not bad. The quality of the food was great, and for $10.00 you received your drink, your meal with two sides and a dessert, (could not substitute for anything not included on the special menu). I personally am a sucker for fried pickles, so I ended up getting some of those too. Was very satisfied with the entire experience and will try to get back over for lunch more often.

What I liked: 1. The atmosphere: Great, casual weekend lunch spot. Though the booths aren't that comfortable! 2. The WINGS!! The honey wings are addicting in delicious. I'm not typically a bone-in wings gal, but I couldn't stop eating these. Juicy, sweet and delicious- I cleaned each to the bone! What I didn't like: 1. The BBQ: The bbq was just okay. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I wasn't impressed as it was rather bland. The verdict: Worth a stop if in town for a weekend trip. Get the wings, lots and lots of wings.

Great atmosphere and food! Love the food, drinks, and casual atmosphere. Great food, great service, and GREAT desert too! While you can say the same for many places, this one is special. If you have not tried yet, ya gotta come!! It's a long way from home but worth the trip if you're in town.

Wait staff was very attentive, portions were generous and reasonably priced. We were underwhelmed by the quality of the pork and brisket from a barbeque restaurant, but everything else (fried pickles especially!) was delicious.

We had dinner here because it was one of the top-rated restaurants in our criteria (and area) on Yelp, and the pharmacy tech on Meijer agreed that it was the place to try. :) We got combo meal #1, burgoo, and buttermilk pie so we could get a nice assortment; we found out later that newcomers get a free bottle of sauce and a slice of pie, so we each got a full piece. We're not big barbecue people--I'm from Maine, so the word "barbecue" means to me "douse a piece of meat in bottled sauce and throw it on the grill until it's blackened--so it was a pretty new experience, but everything was excellent! I was particularly in love with the burgoo, which was thick and chunky and flavorful. The meat was all cooked well (not blackened and not raw), and the sides were very tasty. My favourite sauce of the original, red, and hot was the hot, so that's what we took home. The only thing that really didn't wow me was the grilled corn, which was crunchy and overdone, and lacking flavor. The pie (an old-fashioned recipe that i've heard of but never tried making) was sweet but not cloying, and elegant in its simplicity. We'd definitely come back again.

I'm definitely a fan of Mark's. We have it catered to our work a lot. It's great when feeding a big crowd. Everything there is so good! I typically get pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and green beans. Their buttermilk pie just melts in your mouth. Super sweet, rich and yummy!
(4)
Zachary H.
We order their wings to go a lot and I absolutely love them. They are breaded and have a bit of spice to them. I prefer them without the honey sauce.

They have catered many parties for us. Kenny with their catering dept is great. The food is always delicious and you get free dessert on Monday!!!

I usually don't stop to write reviews of random lunch places I stop while traveling, but this restaurant warrants an amazing review. Its hands down the best value I've found for BBQ in Kentucky. I had the lunch pork BBQ sandwich with green beans and potato salad. And before tip it was about $8. Also their hot BBQ sauce is amazing.
(5)
Mark S.
Fun place with a nice country atmosphere. The food was very reasonable and good!

The honey wings are spectacular. I also loved the deep fried corn on the cob and red potatoe salad. Very good service and typical bbq restaurant atmosphere.

Maybe it's cuz I came in only 1 hr before closing I got a hold of some dried out substandard BBQ. The brisket was extremely chewy and fatty flavor also left something to be desired. My wife spoke well of the burgoo I tried two spoonfuls and felt it was ok but nothing to write home about. My son played over his pulled pork sandwich. My daughter said her rib basket was dry but she liked the sauce ... My kids know what BBQ ribs and pulled pork should taste like per my exploits on the big green egg. Sorry marks feed store

Typical bbq. Good food and good prices. Spicy fries aren't spicy. Hot & regular bbq have an A1 flavor and were ok. Classic bbq was a mustard sauce & the way to go. The buttermilk pie is where it's at and would go just for that.

Mark's Lunch is one of the best in Louisville. Great value for the price. Best iced tea in Middletown! The light platter is perfect size, pork, brisket or chicken, no bun. Great service every week & they make a point to make you feel welcome.

A must eat BBQ spot if you are within 20 miles of this place! Fabulous ribs! If you drive for twenty miles and only eat one of the Honey Wings... IT WOULD BE WORTH IT many times over! I've never had wings like these, and definitely not this good! The service was great and the price was fair. I will definitely return when I am within 20 miles!

I get carry out - Family Picnic Pack $25-$26. 1 1/2 lbs. Pulled pork - delicious, 6 buns, quart each of 2 sides - red skin potatoe salad fabulous. I get 2 of those. Don't care for slaw or baked beans. Red barbeque sauce the best. 2 of us - lasts for days. I give 4 because of slaw and baked beans. What I do like is superior.

This was my second time at a Mark's. Last time was about 2 years ago. Once again, we were not disappointed. The service was top notch and the food was even better. We had a variety of menu items and loved everything we had. Mark's is not to be missed!

We hit up Mark's on the way back to DC from Louisville. Overall, a great local chain with good, friendly service and pretty good food at a decent price(little pricey for Louisville though). Two entrees, two apps, root beers, and some sauces to go plus tip put me back around $50ish. I would give the BBQ 3.5 stars. The sauce on the ribs was a little too sweet for my taste and I think the ribs could have been smoked longer. However, I loved the green beans and sweet potato fries. What really did me in was the cornbread (with Burgoo), and the honeywings were to die for. Sweet and crispy and oh so juicy. My companion enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich(huge), which paired better with the sauces than my ribs. Extra points for having IBC root beer. All in all, a great find in Louisville!

Best beef brisket ever. Buttermilk pie was something new and tasty. Cornbread salad? Yep, different and yummy. Burgoo? Yep that was awesome too. We can't wait to come back.

My family and I were in town on the way to St. Louis from the Carolinas and decided to try Mark's simply due to the reviews here on Yelp! My wifes family is from the Louisville area and I am familiar with the cuisine, but this place is great! You will not be disappointed! From the fried pickles to the burgoo and cue you will definitely not be disappointed!

I do believe Mark's consistently has the best ribs I've ever had. They are always are so tender the meat almost falls off the bones. I had the slaw and apples on this trip. The apples were excellent. The slaw was pretty good also. It doesn't seem to matter which location I go too, they are always crowded.

The service was excellent. Our server and the manger on duty (Matt) went over and above, and when they found out we were first-time diners brought samples of the best dishes to try. As for the food, the ribs and the honey wings were outstanding! The fried pickles, for which they say they are famous, were good, but I have had better. The actual dish that I ordered, a barbecue pork sandwich, was just ok. The pork didn't have much flavor on its own. It was tender, if a bit dry. Matt tells me that they rely a lot on the sauces, which were good, but the overall balance of the sandwich wasn't great--I'm usually looking for a smokier flavor out of BBQd meat. Overall, it was a positive experience in a great environment with good food. If I'm in Louisville again, I would definitely eat here. But, it would be ribs and honey wings all the way!

There is nothing on the menu that fails. Green beans, potato salad, of course the BBQ. You have to try this place, it's an icon.

Rustic decor, pleasant service and top notch bar-b-que and home style cookin' The Burgoo appetizer is fabulous! We visited on a Tuesday night but with a major event in the area ... Place was packed!

My husband and I love Mark's Feed Store so much that we had them cater our wedding reception in May. That experience was great and the prices were so much more reasonable than other caterers typically used for weddings. We chose to serve chicken or pork sandwiches, potato salad (out of this world!), garden salad, and tea. It was a big hit! Would recommend them for catering events both big and small.

I love this place, not so much for the BBQ as the Chicken wings. Best wings ever Best pasta salad ever

Another one of my favorite places to eat. I always have a pulled pork sandwich, they never disappoint. My husband got a burger this last time and said he thought it was better than the pulled pork. Hard to believe but at least you know it's good! Services is good also!

We loved it. Great BBQ even my wife liked it. Love the hot sauce. Honey wings are a must. Really liked the brisket. Potato salad was the real deal. Every side was done right. Service was friendly and fantastic! You want to go to there!!!

Haven't had barbecue this good since my wedding in San Antonio 3 years ago. Meats werent super flavored, but thats what their amazing sauces are for. Pulled pork was lean like we like it, brisket was also lean. Honey barbecue wings were excellently flavored, and ribs were good. Great sauce. Best service I have ever had at any restaurant I can remember. Granted, it was our first time so they gave us a free sauce, and free desert. The desert we had was absolutely stunning, some buttermilk pie with ice cream cup. Absolutely amazing. Still haven't made it to hammerheads though so stay tuned.

This place is fantastic! Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Come hungry. Get a combo dinner for a sample of several meats. You won't be disappointed. As a side, you have to get the fried corn. Dessert - buttermilk pie is incredible and a perfect ending. In town for business, hoping to come back soon!

The bar b q here is about as good as it gets. Decided to stop for lunch today. I ordered the pork sandwich basket. It comes with spicy fries and slaw. The fries are really good, the slaw was really good but, the pork was really, really scrumptious. The sandwich was huge and it was all I could do to finish it. My grandson had the chicken sandwich basket and he had to ask for a togo box. They have a number of locations around town so if you are near one it is a must stop.

Marks Feed Store is a MUST try for BBQ lovers. The sauces are great(especially the hot sauce), The meat cooked just right, and all the sides I have tried so far have been good. The service is good, the prices are moderate and the atmosphere is down-home and fun. My only beef (no pun intended!) is that the place isn't a little bigger because it is always packed!

I decided to check this place out while on a business trip in Louisville. The service was friendly and helpful. I ordered the combo plate and paid extra for some burgoo. I found the food to be delicious and it tasted fresh. Since it was the first time at this place, I was given a bottle of BBQ sauce and free dessert. Too bad the TSA confiscated my BBQ sauce on my way home...

Everything was amazing!! From the delicious sandwiches ( I had pork and hubby had brisket) to the awesome burgoo, and the amazing buttermilk pie. Our server, Michael, was excellent and made us feel very welcome!! Thank you for an awesome experience!! (From Nicholasville KY)

I'm not a big BBQ food fan but when I'm craving some, I know exactly where I needed to go my last night in Louisville. I have enjoyed eating at Mark's Feed Store over the years. I have been to this location as well as the Bardstown Road local and I have eaten it catered at the university where I used to work. It has always been yummy. I ordered the HoneywingsTM Dinner which includes 13 wings, honey sauce on the side, and the sides I picked were the onion straws and green beans. The wings were crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The honey sauce is a mixture of honey and hot sauce. Tasty but better as a side. I don't like the wings dripping with the sauce. The green beans were porky goodness. They had lots of shredded pork in them. The onion straws were lightly floured, crispy and delicious. My brother ordered the Full Slab Dinner and I convinced him to share by offering up a few of my wings. These are very good ribs. Very tender and the sauce is sweet, thick and finger licking good (wait, not reviewing KFC here, oops). My niece ordered the children's chicken tenders and fries and proceeded to devour some of the ribs, my wings and ice cream. I don't know where she packs it all. Monday night is a great night to go to Mark's as it's FREE DESSERT NIGHT!!! Yes, you heard me right! I got a slice of the Homemade Buttermilk Pie to go. I have had it before so I know it's good but I ended up not having room to eat it so it flew back with me to Orlando and is at home waiting for me to sink my teeth into it. I'm saving the best for last....the Burgoo!!!! I LOVE this stuff! For those who are not from Kentucky, Burgoo is a stew made from meats, veggies and spices and slow cooked until the meat falls apart. It's thick, rich, spicy and filling! Next trip, I'm eating less of the other stuff so I can concentrate on a big bowl of the Burgoo!!!

My GF and I were passing through when we saw how highly rated this place was. We wanted some high quality BBQ. We discovered this is not that place. The food was okay. We got combo platter #1 and the staff was friendly. The root beer was pretty good though. If you're looking for high quality country BBQ don't come here. Maybe all the locals know this already...but it was a little disappointing.

I wish I could give it more stars. I'm a bbq lover and have eaten bbq all across the country and the world, and this ranks #1 for me. The name rings true, as it looks like a feed store from the inside and out, but don't let that fool you it tastes amazing. We were in town for the derby and ate there the first night. We had the fried pickls/onion straws which were great. For dinner we had the #1 which was bbq ribs, honeywings, bbq pork, potato salad and sweet (fried) corn. The honeywings are the best wings I've ever had....anywhere. The crisp skin coupled with the honey & pepper was amazing. For dessert we had the buttermilk pie which was to die for. Oh and the sweet tea was great. The second night in louisville we didn't know where to go for dinner so we decided why not go to Marks again. Honeywings as an appetizer, ribs for dinner, green beans and baked apples for sides. Buttermilk pie again. We told them that we came the night before and they said that since it was our first time (yesterday) and today that they were comping our pie, and giving us free bottles of sauce. Amazing place. I will drive back down here from Michigan to eat again. You will not be disappointed if you go. The Food was perfect and the service was out of this world. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

Holy crap BBQ fans! This local chain of 4 Louisville rib joints is really, really good. Picked up enough food for 2 nights in a hotel room w/a microwave and a fridge. Tasted all 4 sides (green beans, baked beans, sweet potato, coleslaw) and they were all great. Got 2 full racks of Baby Back ribs and finished a full rack in about 10 minutes flat. The original sauce (mustard colored) was the perfect tangy tag-team to the hot red bbq sauce. Double-dipped the ribs in one sauce after another, just like I used to do as a kid with Chicken McNuggets in Sweet And Sour then Barbeque... Baby Back ribs ARE my favorite. I've been distracted by the St. Louis cut of rib lately, but after this outing it will be my definitive choice from now on. When I want ribs, I want Baby Backs. Mark's ribs are a smidge fattier than my favorite Baby Backs in Colorado at Rusty's Hickory House (Aspen). Rusty's serves only right-side ribs from tulip-fed Danish pigs. I'm pretty sure Mark doesn't get that crazy with the pig pickin', but Mark's ribs sure are finger lickin'!

In Louisville for the first time and found this place based on other recommendations from Yelp. Boy do I love this place! Stopped in for dinner around 5:30 on a Thursday, busy but still got a booth. For an appetizer got the honey wings/onion straws appetizer. Honey wings just as awesome as everyone says! Sweet honey glaze w/a crispy exterior. Dinner was a combo of ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. All very good. The best part was the hospitality of our server and and the end, we said it was our first time and he brought everyone a free piece of their buttermilk pie. Delish!!!! Very happy and only wish there was a location near Toledo!!!

Don't see what all the hub-bub is about. The spicy fries were just okay and neither myself or my man-date thought the BBQ was unique. It was mega packed because of free kid Tuesdays, be aware! KC, you are 1,000,000 X better, I hope to see you soon.

Ate here returning to Chicago from Nashville. Super tasty barbeque, great sauces, and they "sold" us a pickle bucket, with a one dollar donation to a charitable cause. If I am Louisville again, I would absolutely eat at Mark's.

Great food for the price. Best BBQ that I have had in awhile. The service was fast and courteous.

Where do I start? Get the fried pickles, and I recommend the combo plate. You'll get a taste of everything and its great. The chicken wings stand out, delicious. Their food is just as good as their service. It was worth the stop...wish they had something remotely close to Mark's in California. Pay them a visit, your tastebuds will thank you.

The yelp reviews got me excited to try it. Maybe because of the reviews my expectations were too high, but everything was just good--Not fantastic, not amazing. Maybe KC BBQ has spoiled me?

If you're looking for good barbecue and and the biggest glasses you've ever drank from this place is the perfect fit! This is certainly a go to for me when I want that good pulled pork sand which and a side salad with their homemade spicy ranch dressing. Great place for kids and families! And don't forget about dessert. Their buttermilk pie is slap your grandma good! Can't get enough of this place!

Four of us were visiting the area for a few days and were told by some others that we had to give this place a try while in town. We were very glad we did too! The food was excellent and the service was prompt and friendly. We each ordered platters with various things and shared a little so we could try most of their main food items. Everything I tried (Pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and wings) were all tasty, moist and tender. They provide four different BBQ sauces too and I sampled each and found them all to be very good. The cole slaw wasn't as sweet as I like but it wasn't bad at all. The corn muffins were excellent and we could have filled up on those alone if our dinners hadn't been so prompt. They had a decent crowd in there but it didn't seem to slow the service down at all. Cost was reasonable too. I will most definitely come here again next time I'm in the area!
(5)
This is a BBQ place, very casual. Great food, and friendly staff. I've had their pulled pork sandwiches before and also their honeywings which are delicious. Our first visit there we were given a complimentary bottle of their BBQ sauce which is sold in stores and also used by Papa John's pizza. Highly recommended. Parking is a bit crazy at this location as it's very popular and the parking lot is on a slope!

I have never written a review of a restaurant before, but my experience at Mark's Feed Store has inspired me! While on a road trip from Chicago to Georgia, we decided to stop halfway in Louisville. I checked Yelp for the best BBQ in the area, and reviews for this place seemed pretty promising. I was a bit skeptical because it's kind of a chain, but it is solely Louisville based. We were starving when we got there, and immediately ordered a large basket of onion straws and fried pickles. Word to the wise: get the small onion straws! There were 4 of us and we stuffed ourselves silly with these amazing, crispy, tasty treats, and we STILL had half the basket left. I normally don't eat anything pickle related whatsoever, and I even loved the fried pickles as well! I got the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw and fries. I ate it with a little bit of their original sauce, and it was perfect. My dad and boyfriend both got the baby back ribs which they said were some of the best they have ever had- and my dad is a BBQ aficionado in Chicago! The baked beans and potato salad were also top notch. My mom ordered the brisket- she is the only one who was unimpressed with hers, saying that she has had better in the city, so I would recommend trying something else. I can't remember what our server's name was- only that he was a Cubs fan! He was clearly overwhelmed since it was a busy Friday night and forgot a couple of things, but he made up for it in treating us like we were the only table he had. He sent us on our way with two free BBQ sauces, AND an ENTIRE free buttermilk pie! We could not believe it- must be the southern hospitality! Long story short- from someone who has eaten a lot of really good barbecue, this place is awesome. I will definitely come back if I am ever in the Louisville area again.

Great food. Get the #2 dinner combo... it's just so good. Oh and if this is your first visit make sure you tell them. They really roll out the red carpet! Next time I am in Middletown... we will be there!

We got a sample of all the meats, out of four people's dishes there were 3 winners: ribs, brisket, and wings. The sides were amazing, we got potato salad, cole slaw, corn, and sweet potato fries and they were all fabulous. Overall obviously, great food from main dish to sides which is an accomplishment.

Thank you, Yelp, for directing me to this place. I'm happy I found it. The GF and I were way the hell and gone out in the suburbs the other night and looking for a good restaurant. We looked on Yelp. ~4.5 stars with 22 reviews? We gave it a shot. And we were not disappointed. *fistbumps all around* I got the full slab of ribs. She got the prime rib. Both had really good flavor and were cooked well. I wish the ribs were smoked, but they were fall-off-the-bone tender and easy to eat. The prime rib (I stole some) was REALLY tender and flavorful. Fries were OK; green beans were good; corn on the cob was amazing. We couldn't eat dessert. It was too much food. Service was OK. We were there really late on a Saturday, so that wasn't too surprising. But it was a great place to eat. So glad we found it.

We had an amazing dinner starting with a warm friendly greeting from our waitress Maggie. She suggested various items and was very knowledgable about how everything was prepared. She then brought us a few samples of side dishes to try which were amazing. We ordered the chicken wing and onion straw appetizer. It was mouth watering. Then the owner paid us a visit and acknowledged we were from out of town. What a great guy. Gave us a discount card for next years visit, a bottle of BBQ sauce and bought us dessert. My wife and I had the ribs. Tender and juicy. Apple side dish melted in out mouths along with the baked beans and sweet potato fries. All in all an amazing experience. Even the pie was awesome.

Pro Tip: Get sweet potato fries and honey chicken wings. After eating wings and licking off your fingers, pour remainder of sauce on fries. Yum!

First time here, very impressed. Baby back ribs are some of the best I've had. Waitress (Meaghan) was nice and I even got a free bottle of mark's excellent red BBQ sauce for being a first timer. Will try pulled pork next visit.

Phenomenal!!! We stopped in here while on a business trip and it was lick-your-plate-ahhhhmazing! We were curious wth burgoo was and the waitress was sweet enough to offer a sample...and wow! Whatever that meaty, gravy, veggie goodness was was well worth it...delicious. The sweet "fried" corn is a must have along with the baked beans. Sigh, I wish I had a Marks Feed Store in Miami.

I'm not a BBQ aficionado but I know good when I taste it and Mark's is good. Amazing sides - sweet fried corn on the cob! Fantastic service. We had never tried Burgoo so our server brought us a sample. Then, when he learned we were visiting from out of town gave us free dessert - buttermilk pie ala mode - and a free bottle of Mark's BBQ sauce! Also, the GM came over and asked us about our meal and thanked us for coming in. A+ customer service. Loved the food and service. Mark's does both right.
Went a couple of weeks ago. Witnessed staff in parking lot petting a dog and then serving food/drinks without washing hands. Food was not great - we received it prior to lack of hygiene event. Will not return.

Everywhere I go I always try the best reviewed barbeque in the area. Generally, I leave disappointed because I grew up close to Memphis and know what good barbeque tastes like. That said, I loved Mark's Feed Store. It's all about the meat at a good barbeque spot and Mark's smoked their pulled pork to perfection. It wasn't doused in sauce to cover a lack of flavor in the meat or any of those other tactics you see a lot. It was quality meat and the sauce was a nice mustard base to boot. The beans were excellent, much like what I'm used to (sweet but not too sweet, with some pork in with the beans). And my service was great. Very welcoming, told me the normal favorites, and served me promptly. Barbeque is a regional food but if you like Memphis/Western KY style barbeque, Mark's is the place to go.

Holy deliciousness!!! MAN!! A friend of mine and I ventured to Louisville for the derby last May. We had a simple rule "No chain restaurants" But since this was a local chain we were totally fine to go try it out, and man am I glad we did!! Being from Arizona/Utah I had never heard of burgoo, but when in Rome... It was simply delicious!! I wish I had the recipe (or more plans to visit Louisville so I could have more) The corn bread was spot on. The ribs were off the charts and the cold beer washed it all down. The wait staff was not only helpful and welcoming they also gave us great direction on where to continue our Kentucky Oaks eve festivities. I would recommend this place to anyone... and pay for their burgoo recipe!!!

First time in Kentucky for a business trip I found the food here is awesome. I ate her one night and had to go back the next night because I wanted more burgoo, fried corn on the cob, and buttermilk pie!! Sooo gooood!!! Definitely recommend this place! Mary and Michael were super nice! Took home a bottle of Mark's original BBQ sauce! I will miss this place when I leave!

One of my two favorite BBQ places. Can't believe yelp has this at $$$. Seriously? Busy but great service and the pork is as good as it gets.

Fantastic service, equally fantastic food! Went with a group of 14 people, everyone liked or loved their meal. Waitress was very friendly, the food came out in lightning fast time, was hot and delicious. 2 beers, a bacon BBQ burger, 2 sides = $20. Well worth it!

We had a very nice visit recently while in town for the NASP archery tournament. Despite having a very large group (25-30 but we didn't need to all sit together) the staff did a fantastic job getting us taken care of. It also helped that we arrived after 9:00 so the main dinner rush was over. I had the BBQ chicken and it was very good. Not the best I've ever had, but certainly it ranks on the upper end of things. It sounded like the rest of the group had the same experience...I didn't hear of anyone with a bad meal but I also didn't hear anyone else rave about it being the best ever. If I lived in the area I would certainly return. Loved the atmosphere a lot and it was just a great family style bbq joint. I'd rank the food a 4* and the staff & atmosphere a 5*.

We had dinner there last night. My wife and I shared a full rack of ribs along with sides of beans and slaw. The ribs were fantastic, meaty and cooked just right. The slaw and beans were very good. There was plenty of food for both of us. This was our first visit but it certainly will not be our last!

Amazing food. This location has been better than the Bardstown location and I have been to both several times. The corn is very good and you for sure need to get the honey wings. Eat there tonight!

I have been a steady customer since they opened. I do recommend them. Food: Great food. Oh man the honey wings are the things from which Legends are born. Drinks: The ICE Tea is for me. Facility: Restrooms are clean. Staff: I find the staff efficient and hustling. I love the coin changers they carry. Manager The manager is alway cordial. Overall: 4.7 stars out of 5 Super food. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere.

Our work crew makes frequent visits to Mark's for lunch, as they have proven to be a consistent and expeditious choice for our 1-hour break. This visit, however, stood out from the others - and not in a good way. Our server approached our table and simply said hello - he didn't ever tell us his name. It was all downhill from there. He stood there awkwardly, until I finally asked for a tea. The others followed suit, and we also then placed our orders. He dropped our drinks off and quickly moved on to a nearby table without saying a word. We noticed he ignored our original requests for no lemon, extra ice, etc. Not a huge deal. Our food came after what seemed like longer than usual, and was brought to us by someone other than our server. She also got us refills. I expected our server to stop by and ask if everything came out okay, but he never did! In fact, we tried for over 10 minutes to flag him down just to get a cup of ice. He was moving so quickly through the dining room it was impossible to catch his attention. When he finally did come to the table to pick up an empty glass, he didn't even look at us and just kept moving until we called out to him. And then it took over 5 minutes to get the ice! After we were done eating, we waited for our server to come by with checks. We also needed to order our desserts (part of the 502 Lunch Week menu), and needed them to go since our usual 30-40 minute lunch past the 1 hour mark at this point. We have to flag him down (yet again). We ask for our desserts, to-go drinks, and checks. He comes back with checks and desserts. We ask again for drinks to go. He zips his way back with them (wrong like our original drinks, too). He barely spoke to us the entire time - not even a "thank you" or "good-bye" as we were leaving. And for someone who moves so fast, he was incredibly slow with actually getting anything done. The only good parts of our lunch were the parts he had nothing to do with - the taste of the food and the friendliness of all other staff we interacted with. Now this won't prevent me from returning, but it had sullied my longstanding impression of Mark's. Though if this were my first visit, this review would have two stars and I would not be back.

If you are traveling and looking for a destination experience this is not the place. It has the feel of an aspiring suburban chain restaurant and it generally succeeds on that level. Had the sampler plate, which had a little bit of everything. And by little, I mean very little. Small portions. Ribs are baby backs with a grilled flavor and are safe bet. Pork and brisket were more acceptable than memorable. Sauces were commercially bottled and okay. Fries were fast food quality and baked beans seemed barely altered from the can. I don't know what it was about those little chicken wings. I didn't expect to like them but they were salty bites of deceptively can't-get-enough fried chicken goodness. They were a pleasant surprise. I hate to sound so negative because the people were so nice. The service was great and nothing was bad. This just isn't the place to put on your Louisville "must try" list as you should expect from a 4.5 star rated restaurant with over 100 yelp reviews.

I've been a Mark's customer since they opened their Middletown spot in 1988 and keep coming back on a regular basis. Did I mention that I've not eaten meat or chicken for 24 of those years?!? My favorite, menu item by far is the salmon burger. The juicy and flavorful patty is grilled imparting it with a phenomenal char. Served dressed on a whole wheat bun, you can chose the side of your choice if the sweet potato fries that come with it aren't for you. Being a sauce addict, I always ask for the bbq ranch dressing for my burger (I'm not partial to the condiment that comes with the dish) and I love the delicious, sweet potato fries dipped in Mark's honeywing sauce! Family members adore the brisket and chicken sandwiches as well as the ribs and honeywings (which I also loved back in the day). The veggie plate (chose 3) can be an indulgent treat especially if you chose items like the potato salad (better than my mom's), fried corn on the cob, onion rings, or baked sweet potato with cinnamon butter. Dessert is free on Mondays after 4 pm with the purchase of an entree. Make sure you try the buttermilk crunch sundae with pie chunks, the Oreo banana pudding, or the caramel apple sundae!

Ummm, clearly even I have a limit when it comes to fried food. My friend ordered the #1 sampler and I ordered chicken fingers. The chicken was inedible it was so tough from being over fried, I got their "famous" sweet fried corn and it was basically corn that had great potential to be delicious, but lost all the deliciousness when fried and just turned mushy. My friend said the brisket and honey wings were good, she said the ribs were terribly dry and the pulled pork was super dry. Do not mistake this though...I WOULD come here again JUST for the ridiculously amazing fried pickles... Best I've ever had!

I was only in Louisville for one night, and hoping to hit a home run for dinner, but it was more like a sacrifice fly. I have driven by Mark's previously and it looks like a great BBQ place should look...a little divey (in a good way). The restaurant and bar inside are nice and the place was packed on a weeknight. I was hungry and couldn't decide what to get, so I went with one of the combos that was a little bit of everything: honeywings, ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. The portion was exactly what I needed. It was a good amount of food, but not overkill and the price was right on at $15. While it sounds like a lot of food, the individual portions of each item were pretty small (3 wings, 3 ribs, 3-4 slices of brisket, etc). On to the food....I was disappointed. Overall, the food wasn't served hot or even all that warm. With the combo having a variety of meats, I kept hoping the next item that I ate would be better than the previous, but no luck. All very mediocre. The brisket and pork were dry, and I was really hoping for some great smoky flavor from the pork, and I just didn't get it. I had to use some of their dry rub that was on the table in a shaker along with some sauce to add some flavor to it. The honeywings were the biggest disappointment. They tasted like wings that you would get on a Chinese buffet and the breading was very soggy. With this being a BBQ joint, I was hoping that they would be smoked or grilled with a kick, but no luck. The bright(er) spot in the meal was the ribs. While, they didn't fall off the bone, they were very tender. I would order them again. The service was great. Very friendly and attentive, but unfortunately the BBQ left something to be desired.

Love it!

Oh my, I love the ribs here.

(5)
Yvette J.

Seriously? Busy but great service and the pork is as good as it gets.

this place never fails me. the pulled chicken is a must every time I'm in town, along with their sweet potato fries (which come topped with a cinnamon sugar sprinkle - NOM). and the best visits are on Monday, when it's free dessert night. 3 words: Oreo Banana Pudding. yeah buddy :)

Yum. My first ribs in Louisville. Conveniently located a few hundred feet from Scheller's (see previous review). Their take-out service is wonderful. They gave me a beverage while I waited at the bar. Perfect. For ribs, you have the choice of a rib basket, rib platter, rib dinner, and full slab rib dinner. I just remember the rib basket came with four ribs with fries, while the rib dinner (my choice) had ten ribs. The rib platter has somewhere between four and ten ribs. Ten ribs was actually a bit of a challenge (especially with my fries and corn sides). But I persevered. Next time I think I'd go with the rib platter. While waiting, some drama went down. It was gorgeous outside, so people were eating out on their deck. Some people dined-and-dashed, leaving their waitress holding the tab. It's a rib joint. You're going to walk out of a rib joint? I also don't think most people realize that the restaurant makes the waitress pay for the food that you stole, and that the restaurant doesn't cover it. Don't steal from your nice waitress. I thought you were better than that, Kentucky. But then again, there are assholes in every state.

All pork. All the time. That's right, no beef brisket BBQ here (they have burgers). At first, this made my brisket-loving self fairly sad, that is, until I tasted the pulled pork and ribs. DEEEEELICIOUS!!! Definitely loved my first few experiences with Mark's at this location (which happens to be close to the Residence Inn at which I had an extended stay). Their sauce is awesome - it's the thicker, sweeter sauce as opposed to vinegary Carolina-type sauce. While I like their regular, the hot is where it's at. It's not very spicy at all, but definitely has more flavor than regular. I have toyed around with their limited sides, and the best options are baked beans, cole slaw, and the sweet potato. Steer clear of the fried corn on the cob. The wings also did not impress. But the pulled pork is divine, and the ribs are amazing. If you stick to these two items, you will NOT be disappointed!

Working in Louisville and tired of hotel food looked around for some good BBQ. After reading a few reviews decided to try out Mark's. Great place to get a good meal and laid back eating. Had the rib and chicken plate with spicy fries and baked beans. Everything I had was very good. Meat fell off the bones. Could of had more chicken but I had plenty of ribs. I will come back next time I'm in town.

During a long drive between WV and IL, we were wishing for some good pulled pork and BBQ ribs. Based on the reviews, we stopped at Mark's. The food was excellent, and we loved the house sauce with a little bit of mustard added. But I have to rave about the unusually good service. I pulled out my cell phone to post a note on FB about the excellent BBQ and left my phone on the table as I was distracted by the rest of the meal. Didn't notice till I was an hour out of Louisville. I called Mark's, they had it, and they shipped it to me! Still can't believe that level of customer service since of course it was my fault. They even followed up to be sure I received my phone after I got home. I can't wait to go back for more great BBQ during my next drive through Louisville! What an incredible customer experience.

I have labored to find a really good beef brisket while dividing my time between Arizona and Kentucky. Bryan's Black Mountain BBQ in Cave Creek, Arizona, is rivaled by Mark's Feed Store in Middletown, Kentucky, as having the best beef brisket that I have ever eaten. Mark's Red Sauce is PERFECT with beef brisket. I think without a doubt that Mark's sweet iced tea is THE BEST that I have ever tasted. I ate an early dinner at Mark's yesterday and I can't wait to go back soon. Next time, I want to try the chicken. The selection of sides, the atmosphere, the service all add up to a most enjoyable casual place for dining.

I was really impressed with how good the food was and how inexpensive. I had the bacon bbq burger and it was SO good. My husband, myself and our 2 little kids ate for $21 plus tip, very reasonable.

Great barbeque food, but hardly any gluten-free options. Very casual environment. The potato salad is delicious.

Always delicious and great service! Ribs are usually a safe bet but the pork sandwich can be mediocre at times. Try the fried pickles, yum!

Great place to pig out! The worlds largest barbecue sandwich! Need I say more? A very popular place with very little parking. Pork was tender, sauce unique. Not a ketchup sugar mix. Monday nights free desert! I'll be back!

I love my BBQ, but every time I have been to Mark's, it has been lacking something that would make this an excellent BBQ. Sadly, I have tried and tried to put my finger on what was missing and I can't quite put my finger on it yet. For the price it is OK BBQ, but for excellent BBQ, I will continue to make my way to crestwood and eat and Texicans

My first taste of Louisville BBQ. I tried a combo platter and there was plenty to eat. Our table (of 4) shared the pulled pork, ribs, beef, chicken, veggies and we liked everything. Service was great although it was not busy (Friday night). Will be back again to try some more and would like to try another location.

I don't know why but I'm in love with Mark's! It's a great casual atmosphere with good home-cooking and great bbq. I'm no iron chef, but the bbq here is some of the best I've had. Fried pickles are always a must to get here as well as the honey wings! Their spicy fries are amazing as well as the new sweet potato fries. Be sure to go on a Monday and receive FREE dessert--what could be better?!

(4)Lorna B.
I love the Middletown location. It's rustic like, in a barn like building. Service always is great ! It's my favorite BBQ in Louisville !! It's on the top of my list of restaurants in Louisville! Dress is very casual. My fav is the onion straws and brisket .
(5)Jessica A.
Okay bbq. Some things are better than other. The sandwiches are not bad. It's a chain.
(4)Linda A.
(3)Mark C.
Love it!
(5)Chase C.
The three of us ate for $30 and since it was monday we had free dessert. The service was great just like the food. Never disappointed at a Marks.
(4)Patricia C.
(3)Yuleidy K.
(5)Mark T.
We have known the owners here for many years. The whole crew is great and we love coming here after church. Today they took our kids to the kitchen and let them fix their own ice cream bowls. Highly recommend Mark's Feed Store.
(5)Patrick B.
(3)Tyesha C.
The ice tea cornbread and hospitality to start make Mark's Feed House amazing!!!! Review to be continued.......
(5)Brandee P.
(5)Bethany O.

(4)Bridget H.
(3)Bill W.
Great atmosphere and food! Love the food, drinks, and casual atmosphere. Great food, great service, and GREAT desert too! While you can say the same for many places, this one is special. If you have not tried yet, ya gotta come!! It's a long way from home but worth the trip if you're in town.
(5)Emily E.
Wait staff was very attentive, portions were generous and reasonably priced. We were underwhelmed by the quality of the pork and brisket from a barbeque restaurant, but everything else (fried pickles especially!) was delicious.
(3)Lucy H.
(5)Jordan M.
(4)Zachary H.
We order their wings to go a lot and I absolutely love them. They are breaded and have a bit of spice to them. I prefer them without the honey sauce.
(4)Heather M.
They have catered many parties for us. Kenny with their catering dept is great. The food is always delicious and you get free dessert on Monday!!!
(5)Trent S.
(5)Mark S.
Fun place with a nice country atmosphere. The food was very reasonable and good!
(4)Tim K.
The honey wings are spectacular. I also loved the deep fried corn on the cob and red potatoe salad. Very good service and typical bbq restaurant atmosphere.
(5)Rodrick D.
(2)Adam H.
Typical bbq. Good food and good prices. Spicy fries aren't spicy. Hot & regular bbq have an A1 flavor and were ok. Classic bbq was a mustard sauce & the way to go. The buttermilk pie is where it's at and would go just for that.
(4)Elizabeth B.
Mark's Lunch is one of the best in Louisville. Great value for the price. Best iced tea in Middletown! The light platter is perfect size, pork, brisket or chicken, no bun. Great service every week & they make a point to make you feel welcome.
(5)Chris L.
(5)Jackie S.
(4)Dan M.
This was my second time at a Mark's. Last time was about 2 years ago. Once again, we were not disappointed. The service was top notch and the food was even better. We had a variety of menu items and loved everything we had. Mark's is not to be missed!
(5)Pam Z.
(4)Brian B.
Best beef brisket ever. Buttermilk pie was something new and tasty. Cornbread salad? Yep, different and yummy. Burgoo? Yep that was awesome too. We can't wait to come back.
(5)Chris S.
(5)Debbie M.
I do believe Mark's consistently has the best ribs I've ever had. They are always are so tender the meat almost falls off the bones. I had the slaw and apples on this trip. The apples were excellent. The slaw was pretty good also. It doesn't seem to matter which location I go too, they are always crowded.
(5)Brandon H.
(4)Dwayne M.
There is nothing on the menu that fails. Green beans, potato salad, of course the BBQ. You have to try this place, it's an icon.
(4)Butch G.
Rustic decor, pleasant service and top notch bar-b-que and home style cookin' The Burgoo appetizer is fabulous! We visited on a Tuesday night but with a major event in the area ... Place was packed!
(5)Lindsay N.
(5)Keith W.
I love this place, not so much for the BBQ as the Chicken wings. Best wings ever Best pasta salad ever
(5)Misha M.
Another one of my favorite places to eat. I always have a pulled pork sandwich, they never disappoint. My husband got a burger this last time and said he thought it was better than the pulled pork. Hard to believe but at least you know it's good! Services is good also!
(5)Adam C.
We loved it. Great BBQ even my wife liked it. Love the hot sauce. Honey wings are a must. Really liked the brisket. Potato salad was the real deal. Every side was done right. Service was friendly and fantastic! You want to go to there!!!
(5)Robert L.
(5)Matthew J.
(5)Richard F.
(5)Ted F.
(5)Robert K.
(4)Pamela N.

(5)Bryson L.
(2)Aaron K.

(3)Pete D.
Ate here returning to Chicago from Nashville. Super tasty barbeque, great sauces, and they "sold" us a pickle bucket, with a one dollar donation to a charitable cause. If I am Louisville again, I would absolutely eat at Mark's.
(4)Todd J.
Great food for the price. Best BBQ that I have had in awhile. The service was fast and courteous.
(5)Amado H.

(5)This is a BBQ place, very casual.

(4)Neadom T.
Great food. Get the #2 dinner combo... it's just so good. Oh and if this is your first visit make sure you tell them. They really roll out the red carpet! Next time I am in Middletown... we will be there!
(5)Rebecca R.
(4)Matt B.
(4)Pedro M. F.
So YUMMY! The new Prime Rib was excellent!
(5)Jim B.
(5)Derek N.
Oh my, I love the ribs here.
(5)Wes T.
Pro Tip: Get sweet potato fries and honey chicken wings. After eating wings and licking off your fingers, pour remainder of sauce on fries. Yum!
(4)Stuart O.
First time here, very impressed. Baby back ribs are some of the best I've had. Waitress (Meaghan) was nice and I even got a free bottle of mark's excellent red BBQ sauce for being a first timer. Will try pulled pork next visit.
(4)Vanessa S.
(5)Yvette J.
(5)Jennifer B.
Last night we tried Mark's Feed Store, based on the Yelp reviews. It was excellent. Lee had the barbecue combination platter and I had the wing in a bird's nest with burgoo. The boys had hamburgers with barbecue sauce. Being from GA/NC/SC we enjoy good barbecue and this fit the bill! Also it was free dessert night and we each got a piece of the buttermilk pie - yummy! Note on the burgoo - it is not like Brunswick stew and was very thick and spicy. For some reason it reminded me of Cajun étouffée with chunks of barbecue. We have a new place for dinner!
(5)Mookie M.
Went a couple of weeks ago. Witnessed staff in parking lot petting a dog and then serving food/drinks without washing hands. Food was not great - we received it prior to lack of hygiene event. Will not return.
(2)Colin C.
(5)Sharon M.
(4)lorelie c.
(5)Bud B.
One of my two favorite BBQ places. Can't believe yelp has this at $$$. Seriously? Busy but great service and the pork is as good as it gets.
(4)Kyle L.
(5)Tom H.
(4)Elizabeth T.
I really love barbecue and this just didn't stack up. The food arrived cold and the meat was a little chewy. The pie was really good and I liked the look of the place but the point of the meal was to eat barbecue and I was disappointed.
(2)Edward R.
Extremely friendly staff, pulled pork platter and corn on the cob is deadly good. I love mixing the sauces because i can never tell which i like more.
(4)Nick G.
We stopped in for lunch on a tues.... Place got really busy about the time we got our food ( which came really quick ).... And the waitress did a great job shuffling 8 tables.... The food was awesome! BBQ sauce on the ribs was tangy and sweet.... The corn on the cob is a great choice of a side! The manager was friendly and asked how our experience was... I gave him a BBQ sauce covered thumbs up!
(5)Sara T.
One of our favorite BBQ places. Their food is so good and the service is always friendly. They were a catering option at our wedding reception location and we picked them not knowing how our guests would like the idea. Everyone LOVED it and the catering staff did such a great job.
(5)Jack T.
So impressed with this place. Great service and great food. Great atmosphere! And now they have a Gluten Free Menu!! Huge help for my daughter who can't have wheat!!
(5)Robert G.
We had dinner there last night. My wife and I shared a full rack of ribs along with sides of beans and slaw. The ribs were fantastic, meaty and cooked just right. The slaw and beans were very good. There was plenty of food for both of us. This was our first visit but it certainly will not be our last!
(4)Michael W.
Spicy Sweet Savory Delicious Hot Sauce and Melt in Your Mouth Brisket is all you need to know. The End.
(5)Jeremy H.
Amazing food. This location has been better than the Bardstown location and I have been to both several times. The corn is very good and you for sure need to get the honey wings. Eat there tonight!
(5)Bert N.

(4)Sara S.

(4)Jenny J.
Just ok. Everything is fine but nothing is remarkable.
(3)Lorie L.
(4)Linda A.
(3)Mark C.
Love it!
(5)Chase C.
The three of us ate for $30 and since it was monday we had free dessert. The service was great just like the food. Never disappointed at a Marks.
(4)Kyle L.

(3)Yuleidy K.
(5)Mark T.
We have known the owners here for many years. The whole crew is great and we love coming here after church. Today they took our kids to the kitchen and let them fix their own ice cream bowls. Highly recommend Mark's Feed Store.
(5)Patrick B.
(3)Tyesha C.
The ice tea cornbread and hospitality to start make Mark's Feed House amazing!!!! Review to be continued.......
(5)Brandee P.
(5)Bethany O.
Always delicious. The burgoo reminds me of my grandmother and Derby time at the original Chow Wagon. I'm never disappointed by food or service at Mark's. If you love bbq, you'll love this place. And the buttermilk pie is beyond words.
(5)Lonnie M.
(4)Bridget H.
(3)Lucy H.
(5)Elizabeth T.
(5)Jordan M.
(5)Trent S.
(5)Chris L.
(5)Jackie S.
(4)Dan M.
This was my second time at a Mark's. Last time was about 2 years ago. Once again, we were not disappointed. The service was top notch and the food was even better. We had a variety of menu items and loved everything we had. Mark's is not to be missed!
(5)Pam Z.
(4)Brian B.
Best beef brisket ever. Buttermilk pie was something new and tasty. Cornbread salad? Yep, different and yummy. Burgoo? Yep that was awesome too. We can't wait to come back.
(5)Chris S.
(5)Matthew J.
(5)Richard F.
(5)Ted F.
(5)Robert K.
(4)Pamela N.
(5)Elle A.
(5)Bryan W.
(5)Viviana F.
(5)Bryson L.
(2)Aaron K.
(5)Bobby Y.
(4)Dana N.
(5)Andrew W.
Don't see what all the hub-bub is about. The spicy fries were just okay and neither myself or my man-date thought the BBQ was unique. It was mega packed because of free kid Tuesdays, be aware! KC, you are 1,000,000 X better, I hope to see you soon.
(5)Amado H.
(5)Rob H.
The yelp reviews got me excited to try it. Maybe because of the reviews my expectations were too high, but everything was just good--Not fantastic, not amazing. Maybe KC BBQ has spoiled me?
(3)Laura P.
(4)Neadom T.
Great food. Get the #2 dinner combo... it's just so good. Oh and if this is your first visit make sure you tell them. They really roll out the red carpet! Next time I am in Middletown... we will be there!
(5)Rebecca R.
(4)Matt B.
(4)Pedro M. F.
So YUMMY! The new Prime Rib was excellent!
(5)Jim B.
(5)Yvette J.

Seriously? Busy but great service and the pork is as good as it gets.

this place never fails me. the pulled chicken is a must every time I'm in town, along with their sweet potato fries (which come topped with a cinnamon sugar sprinkle - NOM). and the best visits are on Monday, when it's free dessert night. 3 words: Oreo Banana Pudding. yeah buddy :)
(5)This is a BBQ place, very casual.

Great barbeque food, but hardly any gluten-free options. Very casual environment. The potato salad is delicious.

Grew up on this stuff! Buttermilk pie is to die for!!!!

Loved local flavor! Great pulled pork, rock the lighter colored sauce on it. The sweet fried corn on the Cobb is a must...it's the bosom ov ze courin werld!

Great food and service. In the middle of moving from AR to KY so it was a nice change of pace for a little while to sit down. Very clean restrooms as well.

Got take-out. Had one of the combo dinners. Everything was great. Pulled pork, chicken and the ribs were all moist and flavorful. Staff was really nice. Will definitely be back.
