After leaving Ft Knox, the kids would accept nothing less than ribs. We asked around and no one could tell us a good place to go. We were going to stop in Louisville, but the closer we got to Marks, it was the only location that wasn't a chain. Glad I read the reviews because they seemed appealing. All the staff was attentive without being overbearing. Sweet tea was perfect for a muggy day. Fried pickles are amazing and you can tell they were fresh made. All the food arrived timed out and quick! My husband and I split the 12/14 ribs and the kids ate the baskets. Definitely recommend if you are anywhere near!

I'm always satisfied with my meal at Mark's Feed Store whether it's a pulled pork sandwich or ribs. Food is good; prices are fair; service is fast and servers are courteous.

I have loved Mark's Feed Store since I was a kid. Being so close to the Dixie location is great! I'm going to start with dessert because, well, why not?! While some people may think Mark's Homemade Buttermilk Pie is very rich I'm not one of them. I live for rich sweets! They up the ante with their Buttermilk Crunch. Simple name, amazing results. Chunks of the buttermilk pie are topped with ice cream, drizzled in caramel and sprinkled with nuts. Yum! If only I still ate ice cream...lactose intolerant :( Their other desserts sound great too but I've never been able to work down the list. I may have to try the Oreo Banana Pudding next time because bananas have become a staple in my life (getting my health on). On to Bar-B-Q. My favorite sauce is the lighter one which is the original. Sometimes I mix a couple together. I normally get the chicken plater minus the bread. Besides the different Bar-B-Q meats they also have Lemon Pepper Fish and salads including the Wild Salmon Salad. The sides are ridiculous. I love Mark's Sweet "Fried" Corn on the Cob, Red Potato Salad and Chicken Pasta Salad. They also have good baked beans and green beans. I HIGHLY suggest Mark's for catering. I've had their wonderful food at weddings, work and my own house. I love that you can order one dish to help make party planning that much easier or go with the full meal!

We had my father's 85th Birthday at Mark's Feed Store on Dixie. Food was great! The service was excellent for the 40+ people that showed up. We had a great time. The Manager & our waitress Brandi were very accommodating. The overall experience was outstanding!

One of my top two places to eat. The best dishes to me are the fish, prime rib, pulled pork and brisket. The sweet corn on the cob is my favorite side along with the onion straws. Enjoy!!

I cannot say enough good things about Mark's feed store. My wife and I ate there on a whim and it has become one of our go-to places. So good. You have to get the corn on a cobb. It was absolutely delicious. All of the BBQ is top notch. The best part is kids eat free on Tuesday nights!!! That really helps out on the old checkbook, you know. I'd rate Mark's an A++

My family and I ate here on a Saturday around 6pm. The restaurant was filling up, but still had some seating available. We were greeted and seated soon after we entered. The restaurant had a rustic look, and was dimly lit. The tables were covered with table cloths, and they appeared clean. Our server arrived timely to take our orders. My husband ordered Mark's chicken wing, brisket, rib and pork combo (with corn and beans), for $13.99. It was combo number #1. I ordered the brisket salad for $8.99 and my husband's daughter ordered the children's pork sandwhich meal (included fries). Our food came out hot and in a reasonable amount of time. My salad was adequate, fresh and tasted decent. I've had better tasting brisket, but this one wasn't the worst I've had . My husband's daughter's pork sandwich looked like an adult serving. She also was given a large helping of fries. Her order came to $2.99. We thought her meal was a very good value. My husband was not happy with the portion size of his order. All of his items came in one medium sized contatiner. He received 3 pinky sized wings, 3 small ribs, a serving of pork and a small amount of brisket (less that what I received on my salad). My husband said also that his beans were bland, which I found strange because this restaurant is supposed to be known for their baked beans. My husband said as far as taste goes, he would give this restaurant three and a half stars, because of the bland beans. As far as value goes, he said that he would give this restaurant 1 star. For me, my brisket was decent, and the portion size was large. It was a big salad. For me, this restaurant gets three stars. Nothing really stood our for me, or has me wanting to go back.

I recommend the BBQ chicken platter with sweat potato and fried corn. Sweet tea is a necessity since I can't get that in South Florida. Gotta go with the banana pudding! Not as good as the BBQ places in Hopkinsville but the best I've had in Louisville so far. Friendly staff.
