This establishment is a lot bigger than it appears from the outside. Service was friendly and fast, so if you're doing an event across the street at Kentucky Center, you only need 40 minutes or so. I would return because the service was so good. There was nothing wrong with the food. It was filling, but it was what I've come to expect from every Mexican place in town.

Everything we ate was very very good, our waiter was very friendly and fast. Very cool old building and they have a small amount of outside dinning. This is our family new favorite Mexican restaurant.

Walked to it from the Galt House. Food was served nice and hot. Food was good. Large portions. Drinks were great. I'd go back.

I enjoyed my meal and drinks here. It is your standard Mexican food. I felt the prices were fair. I had a Coronita / Margarita to drink. The drink was balanced. Some are all tequila or all sours. This was a nice drink. For my meal, I had the special dinner. It is one of everything. Each item was good. As a warning, it was a ton of food.

Nice place for a quick bite before a show at the Kentucky Center. Hubby and I shared the steak and shrimp fajitas and first thought that came to mind when our dish was delivered was "Holy Fajitas!!" The pan was piled with all the goodies and I was very pleased that the shrimp were cooked just right and weren't rubbery though the steak lacked seasoning to which we added s&p and the accompaniments were plentiful but lacked guacamole. All in all we were happy with our meal and it satisfied our Mexican food craving.

Came here to watch the World Cup on television . The food was a pleasant surprise . The home made quesadilla was really good and the waiter was excellent. The place is bar like, but food was pretty good, certainly a pleasant surprise.

Took my daughter and husband out to eat. The are vegans and it was hard for them to find something. They end up with rice and beans. I got the Beef quesadilla and wanted sour cream and got it as I was eating my last bite. I was not impressed. A lot of places closed early but I am thinking I will eat before I come into the city. The server looked overworked.

Well..... Uhhh, I hate to say it but this place kind of sucks. I like to go here, it's a good location, good layout. But service has always disappointed, the bartender is usually rude. Last time I was there they served me rotten lettuce, I asked for it to be replaced, they then brought out more of the same rotten lettuce.... I will never have any clue why those things happen I think I'm out

A downtown gem. This is a great place for authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. The portions are huge, the prices reasonable, the waitstaff friendly. The (complimentary, limitless) tortilla chips were fresh and warm, and accompanied with really flavorful (also free) salsa. The restaurant isn't much to look at, but can be forgiven that given the value for the food. It's worth walking a few blocks to escape the overpriced, touristy restaurants located on 4th Street. Yes, Los Aztecas is noisy, ,has little in the way of ambience, but one leaves the restaurant with a full stomach and a pleasant feeling that you've gotten your money's worth. Not always achievable in the downtown restaurants in Louisville anymore.

After waiting 35 minutes for our two orders of mole enchiladas, I flagged our waiter. He asked if I needed a menu... Then, after realizing he never gave our order to the kitchen, he brought us our mediocre meals within five minutes. We informed the manager and without apologizing or actually saying anything, he took $5 off of both of our bills. Fwiw, the Pacifico on tap was delicious. Wouldn't recommend this place, especially with so many quality Mexican restaurants in town.

Yes ma'am, yes ma'am! Authentic Mexican food to the max. So good that I sat at the bar alone until my event. Had the Chile Rellenos and it was hot and fresh. I like to order it with meat but they did not make it like that initially. Later when they realized I was fluent they offered me the world! I was full by then and it was too late. I loved the food and the drinks. Was not too pleased with the first Margarita I ordered. He got it from a pitcher that they keep at the bar filled with Margaritas. Well that is watered down and not the real stuff. I had to order extra Tequila. When he picked up the Patron I stopped him and told him that I wanted Mexican tequila. He looked surprised and asked "low, medium, or high?" I told him of course the best. Well that kicked up my Margarita Mexican style! I had two and was feeling right! Then the bill came. $75!!! My 'high grade' tequila cost $25 per shot! The reason I went there on Valentine's Day was because I did not want to pay for a twofer meal at Morton's with just one me! I happily paid but still. I could've had my steak but I am glad I went right across the street from my event. It was well worth it.

My family and I stopped by this place for a drink and some food. Cons: Place is pretty outdated and felt more like a bar than a restaurant. Ordered a margarita, which was weak and more than I wanted - I ordered a small but server gave me a weird unhappy look and urged me to upgrade to a medium like it was the only choice so I did. Needless to say, I should have gone with a small because I paid more for a terrible margarita. Salsa is probably the worst I've had anywhere. There is no flavor, tastes more like blended tomatoes from a can. Shredded chicken in nachos had a sweet flavor, which was really odd tasting. Server checked up on us only once by walking towards another table from across the room. Pros: Cheap.

Good just straight up Tex-Mex food! If you're looking for artisan fancy stuck up tacos this is not your place. This place had bomb ass homemade sauce and incredible salsa. I've been dreaming about this place since we left. I had the fried burritos and my wife had the fajita quesadilla both amazing!

We have eaten here a few times this year and it has been great every time. Try the Pechuga Aztecos, it's a split chicken breast, stuffed with ham and ground beef. Then to make it better, they cover it in cheese and serve it rice and beans. One of the best dishes that I have eaten anywhere.!

We happened to walk by this location after we completed the Urban Stampede Saturday and I was fiending for a beer so we stopped in. My daughter and I ordered the cheese dip and split the shrimp fajitas. It was plenty and had some leftover. My daughter also had a sweet tooth so she decided to try the fried ice cream. The service was friendly and fast. I also loved the decor of the place. The bar was a lot of fun to look at.

Meh. There was nothing really hugely wrong with this place, but nothing that stood out either. We honestly picked this place because we were walking by it on main, and starving before an event. One word of advice, the mole enchilada was not so good. The other things were alright.

Matthew S.
Fast service and good margaritas. Food was more than we could eat in one sitting. Pay at the counter.

Place was good but wasn't great. Went there once before and the fajitas were amazing and perfectly seasoned. This time they weren't and the meat tasted fatty. So I wasn't overall impressed this time. Margaritas were yummy!

Never again. This place had terrible service from the time we walked in until the we walked out. My sister and I ordered 2 frozen margaritas to start and when the waiter brought them back they were a syrupy, slurry mess. When we inquired as to why they weren't frozen he stated that the machine was down. Why didn't he tell us that initially? So we sent those back to the kitchen and ordered regular margaritas on the rocks. Mine came back fine and quite delicious but my sister, who ordered strawberry flavored, said hers was too sweet and there was quite a bit of strawberry flavoring floating about the glass. At this point the waiter informs us that we are now having to pay for four drinks, including the three that we sent back and did NOT drink because they were not well made. I asked, "You think we're going to pay for the drinks that YOU took back to the kitchen and threw away?!" No. Just no. At that point I told him to cancel our food order and paid for the ONE drink that came out decent. Paid six bucks for the drink and left.

Delicious! I came in with my husband and the atmosphere is great, service is quick, and food is amazing. Salsa and queso were good as always. I got the seafood fajitas and they were the best I've ever had! They had scallops, crab, and shrimp. My husband had a giant burrito and he loved it. We both had leftovers needless to say. I would absolutely go again!

Fantastic chips and salsa! Good prices and wonderful carnitas. Also, the retried beans are creamy and super flavorful! Only 4 stars because the guac tasted as if it was made a day or so ago and wasn't very fresh. Other than the guacamole everything else was wonderful.

Hit the place up for a lunch menu. It was pretty good Mexican food. Half the staff didn't speak English but generally that's what you want in a good Mexican restaurant. The lunch specials were pretty standard. Over all it is a pretty good experience. I would eat here again if I am Downtown Louisville and want some Mexican food.

Second time here... Food was great. Took my girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon for lunch -- had the lunch size portion of the Nachos Fajitas. The chicken was amazingly seasoned. The ratio of ingredients was just right. She got fajita tacos and loved 'em. I prefer the chicken here to other local Mexican joints. The seating area we were in was a bit small/narrow, but the service was good.

Great lunch time menu! Fajitas are excellent and the tacos as well. Prices were extremely reasonable.

Friend had to use the bathroom here, so sat at the bar and ordered a cup of coffee. The coffee came out really fast, as expected. Told them I wanted nothing to eat, but they brought me freshly made complimentary chips anyway which was cool. As far as service I was quite pleased, but I cannot attest to their food, this is purely an HR review.

As far as Mexican food goes, this was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had. The food was delicious and substantial. I ordered a nachos appetizer as my entree. It was huge and delicious. I also had a side order of 1 chile relleno. At 3.99, I expected a small pepper stuffed with cheese and fried. What I got, was this colossal pepper, the size of a small plate. It was not the best chile relleno that I've had, but it was pretty good. I had a peach daiquiri, to accompany my meal. It was ok. I wouldn't order it again though. The drink was huge and $10. Had it tasted better,it would have been totally worth it. I would return if ever I'm in downtown Louisville wanting Mexican fare.

Great location but that's all I can really say that's positive. TERRIBLE service. Had to get the waiter twice on our own. Never came to check on us after delivering the food and my order was missing half the ingredients. Don't order the mango margarita. So much sour mix it started making us sick and they wouldn't fully take it off our bill. Only comped us for half of the pitcher. A few hours later and we still feel like crap from eating here.

In search of some late night food, we hit up Los Aztecas on a recent trip to Louisville. The cheese and chorizo dip was tasty, and I thought the soft tacos were freakin' delicious. I ordered three and was stuffed to the point of physical pain after two. But I powered through the last one anyway, not wanting to abandon it. The margaritas were strong and 2 for 1 when we were there, it looked like they had pretty frequent drink specials. The staff also very graciously let us stay well past closing while we tried to finish our drinks...and that third taco ;) For the type of restaurant, it hit the spot and exceeded my expectations.

Good good and superior service! I really enjoyed the fajitas! They also had large chips with the salsa! A definite plus!

The food was good ,but the servers could be more friendly , also the salsa taste like tomato juice, it needs to be a little more spicy!

We were downtown and came across this restaurant. We ordered the guacamole dip which was excellent. My bf ordered 3 grilled chicken enchiladas platter and I ordered the chicken flautas platter. My flauta was small but tasty. My bf wasn't impressed with the chicken, it was a bit chewy. The sauce was good and so was his beans. We asked if we could order a hot tottie and was told no (he's fighting a cold). The service was ok, the waiter came by twice, once to check if food was ok and to clear the plates.

I typically prefer taqueria style mexican food, but this place was excellent. Our waiter was great: I believe his name was Bobby. My girlfriend had chorizo con juevos. It was very good and they were generous with the portions (I gladly helped her out). I ordered the chilaquiles, which were also very stand out. The complimentary chips were also a cut above the rest.

I frequent this place because it is close to my workplace. The food is mostly good Tex Mex but the service can be spotty depending on who you get. Coincidentally, the last 2 times I went there, I had the same server but his service left a lot to be desired. I understand it can get unbelievably busy at this place on a weekday for lunch but there is no reason to be rude. Their quesadillas are very good!

There's not much open downtown on a Sunday night at 8:30. Luckily, Los Aztecas is open til 10 on Sundays and we got to eat here after coming home late from being out of town all weekend. Pretty similar to Sol Aztecas, but a bigger menu and better salsa (IMO). The margs at Sol might have been better, but these aren't too bad. The tacos al pastor were really good and I would definitely order them again. It's a good option if you want some cheap, yummy, Mexican food.
(4)
Richard K.
Excellent (free) chips and salsa, very friendly staff, and the best lunch combo prices around! The food itself though is pretty average. Good place to grab a beer and a snack, but not the greatest for a meal.
(3)

Let me start out by saying I'm a total snob when it comes down to Mexican food. In my humble opinion, Chicago has the best Mexican food this side of Juarez. Los Aztecas really did pleasantly surprise me. The steak was marinated and top notch and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I would expect to find a good plate of Biscuits and Gravy in Dixie, but I never thought that I would find Mexican food this good.

Came late Friday night while visiting a friend there. We knew we were heading downtown for drinks and dancing, and I had seen this place a few times while visiting. We were seated right away, and there werent too many people in the joint, a few outside eating/drinking. The margaritas were great, but beware the price $10+ for one drink, holy cow! Maybe the house ones are cheaper, didnt ask. The chips were good, salsa was very tomato-y based, i shouldve asked if they had anything spicier. On the bright side- our food (chicken flautas) was extremely delicious and fulfilling! Average priced food, I wouldnt say cheap for dinner. Side note- Our server was a bit too friendly towards us, almost in the weird creepy kind of way.

Ate here the night of Thunder 2012. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Decent menu selections, quick service even though the place was packed so that was a positive. I guess all the trips out to CA have spoiled me on good Mexican food. Again it's not horrible, but it didn't excite me either.

Three stars because I'm a Mexican food snob and my colleagues liked what they ate. The first thing that led me to take this place down a notch was that the salsa was horrible. Kentuckians must not be able to take some heat, because it was like eating tomato sauce. I asked the waiter if there was a hotter version and he told me to add hot sauce. Yikes. Next was the carnitas. It was drier than I'm used to, but had a great flavor. My colleagues seemed to really enjoy their meals, so maybe it was just my meal (or my Mexican food snobiness). The service was very attentive up to the point when we received our meals - then he disappeared. To get our bill we had to get up and find our waiter. If you're dressed nice, walk a few blocks west to Proof on Main at the 21C Hotel.

Got into this restaurant and it was jam-packed with folks. We went straight to the bar and it took 15-20 mins for the bartender to order our food. First off: they had no horchata. I also asked for a Jarritos which came out warm. At this point it was apparent this place catered to 'gringo' who otherwise may not know what real Mexican food is. It's been 35 minutes and we're still waiting for the three enchiladas we ordered, and the enchiladas were the only thing we ordered. Once the food finally came out (this being after we reminded the bartender) it was luke warm, as if it had been sitting underneath a heating lamp. To top it off the food was awful. I don't recommend this place at all.

Okay, granted I am from California and am used to outstanding Mexican food. Perhaps by Louisville standards it is great Mexican, but it was nothing exceptional but my standards. They bring out a basket of bland chips with salsa. We got margaritas, and my friend said it was the worst marg she had ever had. Mine was a fruity blended one, so mine tasted fine. I got a vegetarian combo (I did appreciate that they had a special vegetarian section on their menu!!) with an enchilada, a tostada thing, rice and beans. Nothing stood out as great. Maybe we just got them on a bad night, or maybe I am just spoiled. :)

Aside from my peach daiquiri costing $9 (!!!) and had almost zero alcohol in it, food-wise this was a pretty decent place. The chips were warm and the salsa had a nice heat to it. The rice and refried beans were nothing special, almost to the point of being completely bland and tasteless. BUT. The fish tacos with the accompanying salsa were the best I had ever had. Truly fantastic. Prices were on the high side for this neighborhood but all in all it was a good place.

Frankly, Los Aztecas was disappointing. We went in for a late lunch, and the place was still a little crowded. Service was a real problem for them - even though the food came out shockingly fast, my wife's order came out wrong the first time around. It took a long time to get more water and even longer to get our check. The tortilla chips were warm and crispy, and light on the salt, but the salsa was bland. I decided to forgo my usual carnitas for something different, the mushroom quesadilla. The mushrooms were slimy, the other vegetables bland and unseasoned, and there was virtually no cheese in the tortilla. That said, it still managed to be remarkably oily. My wife's chalupas were also disappointing - the beans and guacamole were bland, and there was very little tomato on them.

A little disappointed. All of the kid's meals, chicken nuggets, pizza, and my taco salad shell had been frozed and badly thawed. My husbands enchilada was good though. Salsa was just plain odd.

The Mexican food here is good, not outstanding but good. Decent margaritas but they seem light on the tequila. Service fair to good. I've been here three times now and it's average but consistent in being average, if that makes any sense.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. The food was pretty good, especially the salsa verde. The service was a little slow during lunchtime.

The food here is pretty good, maybe great for Kentucky, but I dunno. They have your standard mexican choices, they seem to go pretty heavy on the cheese but good. I had the salmon last time I was here which was tasty. I would like them to get more sports channels. If you want to watch hockey, eat tacos and drink bohemia, Los Aztecas can help with two of those things.

I used to eat in this restaurant a lot and often went there to drink as I like Heineken Dark Lager beer (the original Heineken, which is a dark beer and comes in a brown bottle with a gold label). They special ordered it in for me and not a lot of restaurants would do that. The food was always good and in 8 years I never had to send anything back. Service is average to above average, depending upon how busy they are and which server you get. One warning and that is they are often packed to standing room only at lunch Monday thru Friday. Wait until after the lunch crowd disappears if you can. I usually went at 2 PM or later, when it was too late for the lunch crowd but too early for the supper crowd. I stopped eating in this restaurant in August of 2011 for personal reasons not related to the quality or service of the restaurant, but the menu prices were very low compared to other restaurants in the area. When you want a lot of food for relatively little money Mexican is one way to go.

I live in southern California, so I'm probably used to a different kind of Mexican food than that offered in Kentucky. I've therefore been disappointed by my Mexican excursions in Ottawa, Ontario and Lusk, Wyoming, but Los Aztecas was (with one minor exception) a pleasant surprise. My only two reservations were that the chips were not fresh, and that the service was a little TOO quick - I got my salad, then got my entree two minutes later. Other than that, my meal was superb, and I'd definitely return. (They also participate in Rewards Network, an added plus.)

Over the years this has been one of the main mexican restaurants downtown. It's nothing fancy, but consistent in service and food. They also start their happy hour at 3pm daily, which is earlier than most around the area. :) We popped in for lunch today and all ordered off of the lunch menu. Our bellies were full by the time we left. As usual.

Victor was fantastic...he made our evening an event to remember ! We don't care for hot sauce , he brought us a big bowl of mild sauce and chips ... The guacamole salad...not spicy... WAS DELICIOUS ! The margaritas were delicious !! They were 12 oz for only $5, 27 oz. for $11 which we chose, & a pitcher ... We had the 7 salad which was totally delicious and not hot ...just like we like - it was large and delicious just like Victor advised us ! He was totally helpful and made our eve very happy !! He is angel !! Thank you . Ask for Victor ! I

3.5/5 for me here We were in town for the derby weekend and waiting for a tour at Evan Williams and had some time to kill. We were looking for a pretty quick, casual spot and this place was located next door. How could we say no? 9 of us conveniently sat by the bar and ordered an assortment of coronas and margaritas and quickly put or orders in. We were all satisfied with the food but even more pleased with the quick turnaround of the food coming out as we were in a time crunch. I did the steak fajitas which was plenty of food for a reasonable price and the overall flavors were good. If you are looking for quantity for a good price, this is your spot. Buon appetito.

Mexican food is my favorite, so I'm happy to have Los Aztecas just a few blocks from where I work! I've always received fast and pleasant service, and I typically sit at the bar. The servers always keep your water full, and chips and salsa are in front of you within seconds of sitting down. One of my favorite dishes is the Chicken Taco Salad, although I do wish they offered black beans instead of refried beans. I've also ordered a few of the quesadillas, and some taco, beans and rice combo plates. The prices are very fair, and I can typically eat for under $8 (not including tip).

I come from California, a mecca of good Mexican food so I went into this placing knowing it's not quite authentic. We stopped in after touring Evan Williams. The place was pretty crowded but we were seated quickly. Staff was very friendly. We ordered nachos with chicken for an appetizer to share. They were good but not the best nachos. They were very saucy so the chips quickly softened. It was more of an "eat with your fork" kind of nacho plate so save those sides of chips to use to scoop! The entree was just okay. I had a taco with shredded meat. It was okay, not flavorful with seasoning. It's a solid average spot for me. It didn't offer anything to bring me back if I'm in the area but it's a safe bet for a quick lunch.

We didn't have many non-Worldfest options on Labor Day. And we wanted something with air conditioning. I had a meh experience here a few years ago, and there are many better Mexican food places in town. But we didn't have many choices. My huevos con chorizo wasn't bad. We ordered a chorizo queso and only got queso. Nothing in it or special about it....but thankfully, we were only charged for queso and NOT chorizo queso. But nothing was ever said about it... Food came out really quickly. But still...if given the option, if it isn't a holiday and other places are open...I would choose anywhere else.

Stopped here for a quick bite before a tour of Evan Williams. You get complimentary chips and salsa - delicious. We ordered the beef fajitas for two. Um...way too much food, and I wish we'd just split a regular order. The beef is pretty tender, but sinfully under-seasoned. Very disappointing. We'll likely try again (we love Mexican), and I hope to update this review with a higher rating.

Shana K.
We stopped here because it was next door to Evan Williams and everything else in the area was closed for Labor Day. The food is basically on par with El Nopal but more expensive because of the prime downtown location. The best thing I ate was the guacamole, which tasted very fresh. Everything else was completely non-memorable. There are so many great places to eat in the area, I doubt I'll ever eat here again.

I've been here a couple times now, and have liked it. It's not the best Mexican food you'll have, but it's pretty good and the portions are huge. It's close to my office so it's a good lunch spot if I don't bring anything and pretty cheap.

Great location! Love the building's architecture. Prices aren't bad. The queso dip was flavorful. Salsa was fresh. The shredded beef was a little too salty but still had a good base flavor. Service was attentive. We were seated promptly. Drinks, chips and salsa were delivered right away. Server was knowledgeable about the menu. Portions are of a good size, even from the kids' menu. We'll be back!

We were in Louisville looking for a Margarita and food after leaving the Louisville Slugger tour and found this delightful little place right next to Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. We were cautious but were overwhelmed with the Margaritas and Guacamole salad. We were surprised when our waiter Victor was so helpful and friendly. The salsa with the house chips was too w hot for me and Victor brought us a a mild salsa that was excellent. We had the guacamole salad that was actual Guacamole without the hot sauce (that kills the taste of the avocado) it was really good. I'm not from this area but will definitely come back here when I come back next year.
Best Mexican I've ever had!! The burrito was great and the service was very friendly.

The service is very slow but the staff is friendly. The food is a bit bland and not well seasoned. I was with a real mexican dude and he thought it wasn't even close to aithentic. There are better places within walking distance. Up side.....good salsa and bottomless chips!

I really enjoyed reading the background behind the owner of this place. An immigrant with humble roots, it's nice to see the realization of the American dream. Chips and salsa were average; could have used more heat for my taste. If you follow some of my other Mexican restaurant reviews, you know by now that one of my litmus tests is whether or not I can get FRESH jalapeños with my meal. They passed! I got my usual carnitas, and I was pretty shocked at how huge the portion was for the $14 price tag. The meal could have easily fed two average eaters. Beans and rice were good, and the pork was perfectly tender and seasoned. Will dine here again.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(4)Jill R.

Good good awesome people

(1)Monica S.
(5)Jerry M.
(5)Kristie T.
(4)Shelby J.
Meh. There was nothing really hugely wrong with this place, but nothing that stood out either. We honestly picked this place because we were walking by it on main, and starving before an event. One word of advice, the mole enchilada was not so good. The other things were alright.
(2)Matthew S.
Fast service and good margaritas. Food was more than we could eat in one sitting. Pay at the counter.
(4)Michelle S.
Place was good but wasn't great. Went there once before and the fajitas were amazing and perfectly seasoned. This time they weren't and the meat tasted fatty. So I wasn't overall impressed this time. Margaritas were yummy!
(3)Lynne W.
(1)Alyssa W.
(5)Amy D.
Fantastic chips and salsa! Good prices and wonderful carnitas. Also, the retried beans are creamy and super flavorful! Only 4 stars because the guac tasted as if it was made a day or so ago and wasn't very fresh. Other than the guacamole everything else was wonderful.
(4)Tony S.
(3)Kevin F.
(5)Brian B.
Great lunch time menu! Fajitas are excellent and the tacos as well. Prices were extremely reasonable.
(5)Eduardo C.
(3)Kristie W.
(4)Katharine S.
(1)Michael T.
(4)Frank S.
Good good and superior service! I really enjoyed the fajitas! They also had large chips with the salsa! A definite plus!
(4)Mike M.
The food was good ,but the servers could be more friendly , also the salsa taste like tomato juice, it needs to be a little more spicy!
(3)Steve D.
Nice atmosphere, good food and the service was good as well. Try the toasted almond
(4)Zee R.
(3)Tyler M.
(5)Shal V.
(3)Kristen W.
(4)Richard K.
Excellent (free) chips and salsa, very friendly staff, and the best lunch combo prices around! The food itself though is pretty average. Good place to grab a beer and a snack, but not the greatest for a meal.
(3)Andy M.
(4)Kristen S.
(3)Chris A.
(2)Megan L.
Yummy quesadillas!
(4)Nick F.

(1)Matthew S.
i miss kentucky mexican food. is it authentic? fuck if i know. is it delish? yes. LOS AZTECAS!!!!!
(4)Tracey Lee D.
(3)Carolynne M.
(4)Brian K.
(1)Rebecca O.
A little disappointed. All of the kid's meals, chicken nuggets, pizza, and my taco salad shell had been frozed and badly thawed. My husbands enchilada was good though. Salsa was just plain odd.
(2)Brian B.
The Mexican food here is good, not outstanding but good. Decent margaritas but they seem light on the tequila. Service fair to good. I've been here three times now and it's average but consistent in being average, if that makes any sense.
(3)Jen M.
Pleasantly surprised by this place. The food was pretty good, especially the salsa verde. The service was a little slow during lunchtime.
(4)dan g.
(3)Steve W.
Been here a few times while on business. Nice little place with good food. Nice crowd too.
(3)David H.
(4)Ontario E.
(4)Sarah C.
As usual.
(3)Judy R.

(3)Shannon S.
(5)Danielle J.
(3)Kathy V.
(2)Linda M.
(3)Shana K.
(3)Ashley I.
I've been here a couple times now, and have liked it. It's not the best Mexican food you'll have, but it's pretty good and the portions are huge. It's close to my office so it's a good lunch spot if I don't bring anything and pretty cheap.
(4)Amanda C.
(3)Anthony L.
Hair in my food. Ordered a bean burrito and cheese enchilada with rice and beans on the side. There was hair in the rice.
(1)Paul G.
(5)Amy W.
If what you want is traditional Mexican, this is a great option. The salsa comes in a carafe (!!!) so it's hard to run out. It's fresh and puréed with a nice kick. The chips are hot and fresh. My chilaquiles were drenched in delicious sauce and cheese with an ample amount of shredded white meat chicken. There is a futbol theme here, from the matches on the many TVs to the trophies proudly displayed for the restaurant's team. The hostess and server were friendly and professional. The location downtown is within walking distance of many attractions. The story of the owner is detailed on the menu. Sounds like the American Dream come true, and reminds me of many of my immigrant ancestors.
(5)Tyler V.
Best Mexican I've ever had!! The burrito was great and the service was very friendly.
(5)Ron W.
Food was excellent! We had the chimichanga and veggie fajitas. Flavor was very authentic and incredibly delicious! Small and quaint!
(5)Scott D.
The service is very slow but the staff is friendly. The food is a bit bland and not well seasoned. I was with a real mexican dude and he thought it wasn't even close to aithentic. There are better places within walking distance. Up side.....good salsa and bottomless chips!
(3)Kent H.
