You really don't give up an opportunity to have a Grind burger. This gourmet food truck has variable locations given its model, and can be found at multiple fairs around town, as well as farmers markets. They pride themselves on all natural ingredients and make everything fresh to order. As a vegetarian, I've had my share of Boca burgers, soy and tofu patties thrown together to create the "veggie burger". Needless to say, these Boca burgers have really squashed my appetite for "veggie burgers". But, something miraculous happened. This Grind veggie burger came along. This is hands down the best veggie burger I have ever eaten. It is a tasty, hearty patty with flavor paired with lettuce, tomato, and onion. I got mine with habanero jam and cheddar instead of the usual smoked ketchup which really kicked it up a notch. The wait outside of the food truck for this burger was well worth it. Do yourself a favor and find this truck to get one for yourself too!

Grind had become my food truck white whale. Despite the fact that Grind seems to be EVERYWHERE, and I consider myself to be a gal about town, I always seemed to miss this truck for one reason or another. But not anymore! I have finally tasted the much discussed Grind burger, and I am better for it. I bought one of the burgers while at the Floyd Street Stock Exchange. Their truck was parked outside, and they were nice enough to text me when my burger was ready so that I could wait indoors instead of outside in 20 degrees and flurries. My burger cost $9 and took about 10 minutes to be prepared -- two facts that I've seen and heard lamented by others. But their burgers are so worth it. I could immediately tell that this burger wasn't slapped together from an assembly line and that the patty had been hand packed. It was made to order, and the bun -- perfect. It was perfectly buttered and lightly toasted, a great complement to the rest of this gastronomical treat. Now that I've finally harnessed my whale, I plan for this time to be one of many ... this metaphor has gotten away from me a bit. But you get what I mean.

The absolute best food truck in this city. You see burger and you think... oh it's just burgers. Burgers from Grind are so much more than that! When I catch the truck, I can't turn away a burger from Grind no matter what time of day, the weather outside, it doesn't matter what the occasion... you can't go wrong with Grind! Also check out their restaurant (Grind Burger Kitchen).

Ran across Grind at Douglass Loop Farmer's Market. It was early on a Saturday and not burger time for Jimmy, so I decided on an egg and cheese sandwich and an arranciata Pellegrino. The wait was 15 minutes or more not counting line time (we are very popular!). So, I continued my leisurely stroll around the early season market and returned at the allotted time. Nice sandwich! I can see why Grind's fame has spread all over town.

How are there not more reviews on Grind??? By far the best burger I have had in my travels. You can tell the beef is "homegrown" meaning no antibiotics and all the other crap food places do now. They buy their beef local (support KY farmers) Liz and Jessie are super owners! They tweet and Facebook where they will be that week/day and any updates as needed. They are very good at answering tweets if you have questions about how many gluten free buns do you have left etc. Obviously during their serving hours they don't tweet back. Recently I have been ordering the veggie burger, gross in most peoples mind because when you think of veggie burger you think of soy cardboard! Grind veggie burger is not that, they use sweet potato and other veggies and no gluten! Its a great alternative to beef. I, of course, get bacon added on as an extra and ask for plenty of their smoked ketchup. Jason always goes for the classic B&B, I love this burger as well. We like the apricot jam much better then the habanero sauce (don't recall the exact name). It's a melt in your mouth burger, seriously I don't have any other way to describe it...that would be appropriate for yelp :) They do offer the Annie Mays gluten free buns, they tend to run out so get their early. I am uber excited for their new storefront that is opening this summer! Liz said they would probably only do lunch to start with until they can find someone to run the truck. The storefront will have French fries! JACKPOT! You get what you pay for with Grind and every dollar is worth it!

The creme de la creme of burgers! Yeah their prices show it but hey that's the real price of real food -- and it's about time we have options where convenience and quality (key word) are married... Now we do thanks to food trucks like Grind! So many times I've been out at the Douglass Loop farmers market, a festival or running in late to the Moth I take great comfort in knowing I'll be able to snag one of my all time favorite burgers the B&B (bacon and blue cheese). Grass-fed beef, of course. The only variable in my order is sometimes they have a fantastic red pepper aioli which I prefer as opposed to the sweet spread option. Grind does a lot of community events and I'm kinda at the point in the Pavlov's dog experiment where my mouth is watering when I simply decide to go to any festival -- that how associated they are in my mind... I'm always hoping Grind will be there so I can get my fix!

Amazingly delicious burger. Local fresh ground beef. I had burger with Brie and apricot jelly that blew my mind. Their house made ketchup is also amazing. A little pricey for simple food though

I went here on Friday, and I wasn't disappointed. The burger was juicy and the texture had my mind wandering. They surprisingly don't take tips, but the price was fair and just for the deliciousness. I definitely would recommend to friends.

A Love Story: The best burger I have ever had in my life came from The Grind. It was 9pm on a chilly October evening, and I had just finished tasting beer at the Science Center's annual Ex-Beeriment. My stomach empty and my head a little foggy from the beer, I wandered outside to get some fresh air. To my delight, I discovered several food trucks parked outside! I picked The Grind because a gourmet burger sounded like the bees knees at that point. OH MAN!...did I make the best decision I have ever made in my life. I got the B&B, which is Bacon! Brie! Habanero Jelly! (or apricot, your choice.) All cooked to perfection---and I mean perfection!---by the friendliest staff. The meat was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside; the kind of burger that just melts in your mouth. I still dream about this burger and wish I could eat it every day. Sigh.....

Who doesn't love a good burger? If such a person exists, I don't want to know him/her, because I looove a good burger. Grind definitely is a great source for a great burger. As a food truck, you'll find them around town (Follow them on Facebook or Twitter for updates on their location.). I've only eaten their burgers a few times, but I have been impressed every time. This past weekend at the Butchertown Art Fair, I had the best veggie burger of my life from Grind. It was extremely flavorful, and since it was fresh off the grill, I had to purposefully make myself slow down while eating it in order to enjoy every bite. I also ordered it without a bun, and the way it was presented was perfect. Even the condiments offered on each of the burgers is unique and delicious. During the few times I've had Grind over the past year and a half or so, the menu has slightly varied each time. Which means more wonderful things to try...and I can't wait to try more! While it is slightly pricey, the food is delicious and worth it. I can't imagine a food truck for burgers being better, so considering that category, I'm going tight 5 stars for Grind!

Two confessions to make straight away. Allow me to briefly bare my Yelp soul: 1) I'm not one to toss around superlatives like "amazing", "one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had", "sensational" our "nothing like it." 2) Everyone keeps telling me that Food Trucks are awesome from coast to coast, but I'm really just not much of a food truck guy. No real concrete complaint., I just prefer restaurants. Maybe it is because I feel so marginalized when I have to reach up high to get my food passed to me. Like a poor Oliver Twist asking for more food. THAT being said, I absolutely love Grind. I flip out a little bit whenever I see it on the street or at street fair or at Apocalypse brewery. I quickly make a direct path for the window. The Burgers are some of the most amazing creations I've ever had between two buns. There really is nothing like it and it is on the most delicious burgers I've ever had. One might even say sensational. Liz and crew to a great job dishing up locally sourced ingredients that, top to bottom, makes for a solid meal. The first time I ate my first one, I promptly executed a boomerang pattern and went back for a second. I've made many a friend a believer is well. Long story short: If you see the Grind Burger Truck out and about, do yourself a solid and grab a burger. You will not be sorry.

Great burgers!

I just have to rave about the burger I had last night. I have been going to the MOTH StorySlam at Headliners for a couple of months - thanks to Yelp for introducing me to that - and Grind is always out front before the shows. Usually, I eat dinner before the show, but this time I knew I wanted to try a burger after hearing that they were superb. I love a good burger and usually doesn't take much to please me in this department, but I was blown out of the water with the B&B. I saw elsewhere someone posted that they had a blue cheese and bacon burger -- but this one was BRIE and BACON. Cooked to perfection, juicy but not soppy, perfect amount of brie to compliment, crispy and flavorful bacon, and the habenero jam tied it together nicely. It wasn't that spicy - surprised me a little - but gave it a great addition. Normally I'd deduct one star for being a $10 burger - but I have to tell you - it was worth it to me! What a treat! It left me wanting more because it was just so delicious. Hope you give this truck a try. Also - bonus points for having gluten free buns! (expect to add $2)

Simply the best Gourmet Burgers in Louisville. Hands down. They really take pride in their burgers, and you can taste it in every delicious bite. It takes a little while for the food to be ready (depending on the line) because they make it to order. Saying it is worth the wait is a gross understatement. The burgers taste like they should cost twice as much as they do, and the fact that they are made in a truck and not in a full on kitchen is astonishing. I can't say enough about The Grind, but tasting is believing, and I can't do that part for you :)

Holy crap, what a tasty burger. Cows line up to be slaughtered and put into these delectable sammiches. If you want to complain about the cost of a delicious ass burger worthy of the highest esteem, then just go to Smash Burger or McDonald's, ffs. You get what you pay for. So, put your money and this burger where your mouth is.

I follow these guys on Facebook, read their reviews in various publications, and hear people mention how amazing their burgers are and I finally got to try them today. I saw in FB they were going to be down at Douglas Loop Farmers Market so I made my way down there for lunch. Tucked back in the corner was this small food truck with a dry erase menu sitting on the ground. I went with the "Loop" special, grass-fed beef (we will get to that in a sec), porchetta, pickled red onions, and gruyere cheese. A bit pricy at $13, but some food tastes so good price goes out the window. This burger falls into that category. Burger was cooked at a perfect medium-well. Nice crispy edges and extremely juicy in the middle. The porchetta was insanely good and complimented the gruyere cheese very well. Nicely toasted, locally raised bread held everything together. Now in to the beef...If someone told me that there was a big difference between grass fed and regular store bought beef I wouldn't have believed them. After eating this burger...I now believe them, and now every meal eaten with regular store bought beef just isn't going to be that good anymore. Only knock on this place. It was too good! I will definitely being watching for their locations in the future and eating as many of these burgers as possible!

So much fun! When you hear of a "food truck" nothing makes me jump of out my seat to go eat at one. This was true until we had a B&B Burger from Grind! The first thing they brag about is using "grass fed beef" which I really didn't care about (at first). Once you try grass fed beef you are ruined for life. Buying non-grass fed meat make you feel like you are cheating your taste buds. It makes all the difference! Their burgers are snuggled in between local bakery made buns that have a sweet fresh taste to them. On the B&B burger they cover one side of the bun with a sweet apricot spread. The next part is the first part of the (B); the brie cheese. That is melted on top of the other (B); the bacon. I don't know what it is but the combination of the B&B with the grass fed beef and apricot spread makes you want to chase this food truck down the street like an ice cream truck on a scorching summer day. The owners do a great job of keeping things fresh on their menu as well. On this particular day they were at the Douglas loop farmer's market and used local produce to create spectacular sides to go with their burgers. We had asparagus in melted parmesan cheese and fresh strawberries in dark chocolate with sea salt. Does this sound like a normally food truck to you? We will definitely be back and if I could get them to pull up to my house for lunch I would! Thanks for the great food and hospitality!

Best burger I have had in my life! The beef patty is amazingly tasty. They only sell chips but all the extra effort not making fries goes back into their perfectly well cooked burgers. Don't let the food truck appearance deceive you.

Staff was wonderful. They do not change the burgers but as the menu says "trust them" I will be back. The honey habenero dip was perfect with the fries.
