First time here. I got the black raspberry chip, husband got the bourbon ball, and the tots split a kids carnival sundae (cotton candy ice cream). It was all magically delicious! Especially the black raspberry chip (sporty teenage girls in line recommended it -- thank you!)! I've only been to this location, and it could use some interior updates (seems kind of old and sticky), but the ice cream (and customer service) is soooooo good! This is my favorite ice cream in Louisville!

Being from out of state - Illinois, specifically - my version of specialty ice cream is Oberweis but it hasn't got anything on Graeter's. I used to think that Oberweis ice cream was so creamy and good and basically the bomb dot com, but as Ace of Base so eloquently said "I saw the sign [Graeter's], and it opened up my eyes" - I now realize that Graeter's is way, way better! (Sorry to diss ya, Oberweis). They have so many flavors here that you will most likely be dumbfounded and perplexed on which flavor to choose. Personally, my favorite is the blackberry chocolate chip. I have not tasted anything so sweet before and it leaves this wonderful after-taste! But my goodness, the seasonal cinnamon ice cream, and the peanut butter chocolate chip ice cream is amazing too! Just to be safe, try all of them just don't get a head rush!!!

I'm so torn. Comfy Cow was my first Louisville ice cream experience, but Graeter's has given me something else entirely to consider. The chocolate chips are hands down the best chocolate chips I have ever had. And I'm an ice cream gal. Huge, melt-in-your-mouth chunks. Any respectable ice cream lover knows that the chips can make or break your experience. The ratio of ice cream to chips, the flavor, the texture. Graeter's is spot on. I haven't tried many flavors and so far no flavors without chocolate chips, but you can be sure I'll be back to try them all.

The best ice cream ever. Highly recommend trying some of this ice cream. It's a little pricey but worth every penny.

Absolutely delish! The black raspberry chocolate chip was more like chocolate chunk! My husbands milk shake was just right.

Warning: bad pun ahead. I mean, really, how could you say that Graeter's is anything other than...Graet? Okay, sorry I couldn't resist, but don't say I didn't warn you! My only regret about Graeter's is that I only got the chance to go once during my week in Louisville. The ice cream clearly tastes of fresh ingredients and the flavor options are great. I tried the toffee chip. The toffee was good, but the chocolate chips took it a step beyond. These weren't your average chocolate chips, but but chunks of fudge like chocolate. The place has a vintage feel, is well maintained and home to friendly staff. If I find myself back in Louisville, you better believe that I'll find myself back at Graeter's.

Adorable vintage ice cream parlor, perfect for visiting and sitting down on hot days. Excellent product, great selections of flavors. It's a local legend.
