What can I say? I love Firehouse! The staff here has always been very friendly and the food is consistently good. It's my go-to sandwich shop.

Finally made my way over to Firehouse Subs for lunch recently and I am very glad I did! I am actually one of those people who enjoys Subway because it's fresh and basic, but man, Firehouse Subs hit the spot. I did carryout as I was going back to the office to finish up some work; my colleague got the New York Steamer, with a side pickle, and I made my own sandwich with turkey, tomato, provolone, and banana peppers. The ingredients were so fresh and they did not skimp out on the amount of turkey and banana peppers when I asked for extra. The woman at the register was very friendly and helpful when I asked a fair number of questions regarding their menu. It took about 5 minutes for them to whip up the sandwhiches, which allowed me time to work the crazy confusing fountain drink (only confusing because it was my first time using one of those with the million and one options). The only down side to this Firehouse Subs is the location. It's located in a strip mall and the parking is quite limited. I'd recommend coming either for a bit of an earlier lunch or a later lunch to avoid the crowd. I came around noon and by 12:15, the line was to the door.

I have been here many of times. Staff is real friendly and food comes out fairly quick, unless you come at the height of lunch rush. I have only tried 2 subs thus far, the Firehouse Meatball ($5.89 med. sub only, $7.98med. sub w/ drink and chips) and the Steak and Cheese ($6.19 med. sub only, $8.18med. sub w/ drink and chips) my favorite! (Not including tax) I attached a photo of the menu, because there are much more to choose from and upgrades that can be done.

First off the food is always delicious. The only reason Firehouse gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the drink machine. I love having the options of the Coke Freestyle machine but with a location this busy they either need 2 machines or a traditional fountain. It was very frustrating. Every time you went to get a drink there was a line and someone complaining. Add to the fact we had our kids and it turned out very good experience into a very stressful experience.

It is a good thing the food is good here. The Saturday crew is not very good. Customer service is bad. kids are supposed to eat free on Saturday and the cashier could not figure out how to do it so offered no solution. Brianna said she was tired and gave no refund.

Definitely one of my favorite sub shops. All the sandwiches are pretty basic, but the fresh ingredients and great flavors make them so much better than your typical sub places. The toppings are plentiful and the sandwiches are served warm. I've tried five subs from the menu, and can't wait to try more. So far, my favorite is probably the Turkey Bacon Ranch, although they are all extremely good. The large selection of ranked (1-10 / mild-hot) hot sauces is a unique touch. It goes with the firehouse theme, which is nicely displayed throughout the restaurant. I have nothing bad to say about this place, and it's right there with the best of the best as far as sub-shops are concerned.

Firehouse is, by all means, a serious contender in the sub restaurant market. Ive had every sub on the menu and there's not a single bad sandwich. Oh, when you say double mean, it means double meat. Don't settle for Subway garb where they give you one extra piece of a cylindrical turkey slice for $2.50, Firehouse means business. The location here is up to par with other Firehouse restaurants, 5 stars because its the nearest store to me and I've kept my fingers crossed other franchisee's will follow and open other locations around Louisville. Westport road maybe?! EDIT: I place an online order and didn't realize until I got home, my sub order was wrong. They were very apologetic and offered me a sub on the house next time I'm in. Excellent customer service experience. Keep it up!

I went here today for the first time to take advantage of their offer of a free medium birthday sub. I chose the brisket sub (#10). It was fantastic! Soft, fresh bread, flavorful meat, and just the right amount of cheese and BBQ sauce. Friendly and knowledgeable service as well! Next time (and, yes, there will assuredly be a next time) I'll have to try one of the dozens of help-yourself sauces they have on display. I almost wish they didn't have "subs" in their name. This place is above that. It's in a completely different league than Subway/Quizno/etc. Firehouse is a sandwich shop. A very, very good sandwich shop.

Save your money and go to subway instead. We tried this place once and for the price we could've ate at a sit down restaurant and had food that justified the price. No frills or anything special here.

Most fabulous food and service. They welcome you when you walk in with their firehouse welcome. The food is fresh and very tasty. We had our kids and on weekend they had kids eat for $.99 ... Great deal!!!! I will come back often for the quality and service.
