Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Found a finger nail in my salsa...will never go back. So disappointing I really liked their food and it always seems a little cleaner than other Mexican restaurants in the area. So gross!

Went last night. Been here before and thought it was good. Not sure if a bad night or going downhill. Waiter was rude and left our drinks unfilled twice. Never came back after give us our first refill. Someone else brought the food and he never checked to see if it was ok to give us refills or even the check. So we went to the counter and the lady didn't even know the menu or prices. Tried to over charge us by $6. That night my wife woke up throwing up and I had diarrhea and this morning I have severe abdominal pain. Never eating there again!!!!!!!!!

This is a great place! I frequent this place at least 3 times a month. It's Very relaxing, welcoming and the food is delicious- always fresh!! The guacamole and margaritas are a must to order. You order and not even 10 minutes later your food is ready. Also, the staff are extremely friendly and the place is always clean. The only negative thing I can say about this place is if you go on a Friday or Saturday night you will have a wait, the place is small and fills up quick. So apparently I'm not the only one who loves this place

Great food! Their pork tenderloin is awesome, and several dishes include it. Good service. The only thing on which they could use improvement is greeting customers when they come in the door. It is frequently a blank stare. But after you are seated, it's all good!

First visit. Place is small gets crowded fast fast. The Pablano was average at best. Burrito was good, as well as the cheese dip. I would have given 3 stars but service was terrible. Long weight on refills and simple food mistakes. Chips are subpar, almost like they are fried too long. Visit again probably not.

Great place! We eat here once a week for take out. The food is not soaked in grease like a lot of Mexican restaurants and the guacamole Mario is the best I've ever had!

Great place...awesome food. Friendly staff try the mini chimi's verde style. Fish tacos are awesome too. You can't go wrong with this place. Great neighborhood restaurant.

Hola! Without a doubt the best family owned Mexican restaurant in Louisville! Every family member makes you feel it truly is Fiesta Time for everyone. Margaritas are fresh and "flavorful" to the point that celebration is inevitable. The menu is all inclusive featuring all south of the border traditional meals. Special requests are welcome. Love this place!

I always see this place when I got to my bank in Fern Creek and think it is interesting. It is in a shopping center and looks to be small. I wonder how they are able to fit everything into this little place. So, I finally decided to take the plunge and try it out. After all, it is Mexican, and I love me some tacos. Walking into it was a tad bit confusing. While it was crowded, and small, we did not know whether to seat ourselves or wait for someone to approach us. There was not a hosts area but finally someone that was always serving grabbed us a booth. The décor was interested; they had painted "exposed brick" randomly on the walls. But the booths were large and could easily seat 3-4 people on each side. The two of us had more than enough elbow room. The service was okay. We had to ask for refills on our drinks and more chips for our salsa. However, the menu is MASSIVE. It was a bit overwhelming because it was so large. There was one item that was pictured on the menu, but we could not locate it. So we asked the serve and he should us a random item on the bottom corner of the menu. He explained they ran out of run so they just put the item description on a different page than the photo. The food was good and large in portion. I ended up getting the half size of the shrimp nachos. They were very good but took almost 3 minutes to cool down before I could try them. The half size was more than enough for me. I am sure the full size would be sharable for two people. My date got the chicken and steak "quesadilla." with rice. I say it is a "quesadilla" because it was more like a taco. It was not melted together like a pocket of meat and cheese. We were both a little confused, but the server said it was the quesadilla. He ended up taking home one of them because the portions are large. It would not be my first pick for a Mexican restaurant because it was cramped. However, the food was acceptable and the portions large.
