Great location - right off the interstate. Servers could not make up their minds as to whom to seat first... The party of 6 (they were there first) or me! Excellent coffee. Prompt service - it's comfort food, what more to say?

Slow and steady doesn't always win the race. This is a Cracker Barrel. I'm used to being barreled in and out of restaurants but they take their time here. I've been to this location more than I care to admit and its basically the run of the mill Cracker Barrel. I'd say in my longitudinal study they service and food are both average. Love the biscuits and cornbread and ample choice of sides you just don't find a lot of places. Be sure to get there early if you want to order the daily special and if you want a dessert make sure to order it with your meal in case they run out. Keep on keeping on, Cracker Barrel. See ya next week! :)

My rating is really a 3.5 but as you know I never round up...just one of those things. ;) So before we start our day of fun at the Creations Museum, the BF suggest stopping here for brunch. (Read: Hungry & Pre-caffeinated GF = Cranky GF therefore making BF's day miserable.) It's conveniently located right off the freeway w/ ample parking. The second you walk in, you'll realize just how fitting the name of the restaurant is. It's really does have a general store attached to the restaurant which I guess if you have an affinity towards nick nacks and the likes, you'll love this place. I was more drawn by the large portions of food that was being served up. We were seated right away and no bfast/brunch is complete without coffee. Surprisingly it didn't taste like the typical diluted brown water unlike most places do...but it wasn't nearly as strong as I like it either. But hey, what can you do? Caffeine is still caffeine at the end of the day and w/ free refills - eh, it's all good. Their breakfast menu is HUGE, many of the classics but also got plenty of Southern flares such as fried apples, grits, chicken fried steak, biscuit and gravy... = one word, DROOL. So after weighing the decision of what I can actually pack into my stomach, the BF and I both ordered the Old Timer's Breakfast - I got mine with Smoked Sausage Patties while the BF got their Thick-Sliced Bacon. It comes with two eggs, grits, biscuits & gravy, butter & preserves (but try their jam n apple butter), with a side of fried apples OR hash brown. ALL of that for under 8.00...yes, food is exponentially cheaper in KY and comes in ridiculously large portion. Everything tasted good - not exactly out of this world but definitely decent for the price. I wouldn't mind stopping here again for another Southern meal, not to mention, the waiter kept checking on us the entire time and my coffee mug was never empty. Always a plus! :)

Generally, I rather like Cracker Barrel. It's comfort food. Biscuits and gravy, country ham, and baked apples always make me smile. This particular location managed to make me angry. We arrived mid morning for breakfast with Grandma. The party was a little larger than usual so the wait was longer than usual. Not a problem. We were told 30 minutes. We wandered to the "porch" and had a seat. After about 40 minutes, I went back to the host's station to get an update. I was told that they had called our party already (several times). Turns out, the host wrote down the name of our party all wrong. The wait would be "just a few more minutes". We stood by patiently while four more parties were seated. I asked again when we would be seated. I was assured that we were "next to be called". We were not, in fact, next to be called. This is the point at which my temper got the better of me. I made a huge fuss. The host stammered and sputtered while the manager (presumably) intervened and seated us immediately. The food was just the same as it has always been (tasty, artery clogging goodness). The server was overly pleasant, almost hovering. It didn't make up for the seating fiasco. Next time, we're going to Waffle House.

My husband and I live in Fort Campbell, so we are used to our Cracker Barrel that gives a very generous 25% military discount. We assumed that all the locations gave a discount, but apparently not. This location does not offer any military discount. The service was great as usual and the food was very good.

Ate at the one on Crittenden drive in Lou, Ky. many times but yesterday, 9-10-15, was horrible. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant flakes and water, cucumber salad had no dressing on it, chicken and dumplings had 5 small pieces of chicken in a plateful of gummy dumplings, tomato slices were not even close to being ripe, turkey dressing was pasty and gooey, white gravy was like water. it used to be one of my favorites but no longer has the quality it once had. so sad..(they didn't charge us for our meals).

Fabulous food. I went with a small group, service was good. Ate a late lunch on a Saturday and it was tasty :) I had the chicken fried chicken, hash brown casserole, buttered carrots, & corn bread. I'd have to say, everyone was very pleased at our table. Averaged at less than $10 per person and that was awesome! Place was clean, staff all had smiling faces, food came out it reasonable time. Thanks Cracker Barrel.

Had lunch here today with a large group of family, and it was a great experience. It's a Cracker Barrel, so you know what to expect from the food. If you don't like the food, don't go there. I typically see very good service at Cracker Barrels, but today was exceptional. Our sever, Angelica, was a "Rising Star", but went above and beyond with the attitude of a veteran who loves her job. The ten of us were very "When Harry Met Sally" with our orders, but she kept everything straight and stayed very cool and collected. She also made the best sweet tea we'd ever had at a Cracker Barrel. Ask for Angelica next time you're there!

This place was a God send due to the limited eating areas around the convention center near the airport. I was happy to have some comfort food and can't wait to go back.

My husband and I ate here today and the food was horrible!!! I looked over the menu at home and was excited to try the chicken livers and cheese grits. The livers were hard as a rock LITERALLY, the grits were too salty and lacked any other flavor. My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was hard and tough to eat, the gravy was the consistency of toothpaste and lacking in flavor. The server rushed us to order but otherwise was pleasant enough. I'm guessing that the older crowd loves the food because it's not seasoned well and it's easy on their stomach. I will NEVER be back to any Cracker Barrel, EVER!!!

Love Cracker Barrel but today was a big disappointment. Terrible service, food was cold and grilled chicken tenderloins had not been marinated and tasted like nothing. Server put the check down and said sorry I never came back.. Were short handed. Sorry your short handed but I saw you when you took my order and when I flagged you down to get my check. Pitiful

Helpful servers but bad food. Steak was way over cooked. Potato ok. Salad ok. They did get me a phone number for a cab when we were done

We ran down from the new embassy to grab lunch.... Typical Cracker Barrel experience. Food was pretty good..... Waitress forgot my corn bread but she was fairly busy..... Place was terribly crowded like usual..... I couldn't hear my own thoughts..... Sure wish they would slide the tables apart another foot or so.....

You know, I just love it. Second time at a Cracker Barrel. Food terrific, I love their greens, okra, chicken and dumplings, and the cocoa coca cola cake. Service at this one was super friendly and nice. I believe our waitresses name was Brandy and she was so welcoming and efficient, but so was everyone else who helped us out including in the store...Stop here when you go to Churchill Downs.

I've eaten at lots of Cracker Barrels. When you travel for a living you depend on some level of consistency when you aren't sure what you are going to eat, when and where you are going to eat. And Cracker Barrel for any meal, if you are in the mood, fits the bill for being consistently good. Except this one. The first tell tale sign was walking across from the hotel on a Saturday morning at 8am and the parking lot is nearly empty. Hmmm, that's not good, I was expecting a 30 minute wait. The restaurant is more than half empty. Why is it when the restaurants are slow the service is slow, the food just isn't great? So, just to give you the Cliff Note version. I shouldn't have to beg for creamer, and you only give me 2. Over easy eggs should not be rock hard. Pancakes shouldn't be 1/2 an inch thick, they taste like glue, and have that consistency. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I got the general feel here that there is little management oversight, the Saturday morning cook isn't up to scratch, and no one is checking the quality of the food going out. I told my waitress, no one came to check with us, and the cashier didn't even ask, "How was everything?" It wasn't "Cracker Barrel good" would have been my response.

I came here after a late nite flight. Conviently located across from the HGI. My favorite BBQ place was closed so this was my 2nd choice. I wrote this review while I was eating! The service was attentive, quick and friendly. My grilled chicken tenderloins were cooked perfectly! The Mac and cheese and fried apples excellent. The biscuits were fluffy moist warm southern style I've been to almost 200 cracker barrels and this is one is on my top list. I normally don't write about CB's. But I have noticed, the CB's in the real southern states do a very good job cooking up southern style vittles Jason my waiter even told me about some awesome yelp recommendations for BBQ and late ntte food which happen to be high on the yelp reviews.

We just should have walked out when we were seated next to a dusty lattice work divider behind the cash register. The eggs were cold, the sausage and ham both were cooked to 10 times death. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.
