Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Today's experience was so much better than the first time I visited Chipotle. The wait in line was a little too long the first time, but the food was excellent both times! In my mind, Chipotle is #1 among fast mexican joints.

Great food horrible service and cleanliness. It takes 20 minutes to get to the counter. And the restaurant tables are empty. Where is the urgency to take care of customers and make money. Come on I love the food, hate the experience to get it!

I and my family ate here at around 1-2 pm on the Saturday of Derby. There was a line, but it wasn't very long. My parents were unfamiliar with the concept, but the staff was very patient with them and answered all their questions. Let's be honest, I helped a little bit in advance so as to not back up the line, but Mom and Dad proceeded through the line pretty quickly. Me, being unsure about Sofritos but wanting to try them, ordered a half Sofritos/half chicken burrito bowl. Brown rice, black beans, spicy salsa, everything cheese related, lettuce and guac. Let me be clear here. I know you pay extra for guac but this place makes it worth it. They did not skimp. I must have at least gotten a full avocado on there. Good grief. And as always, Tabasco on the side. My burrito bowl was excellent! I'm still a little undecided on the Sofritos. The spiciness is pleasant, but the pieces are so small (almost like loose meat) that it almost seems like a seasoning. I would try it again though. The seating area was clean, and actually a bit larger than I'm used to seeing in most Chipotles. We decided to sit outside because of what a nice day it was. There were only a few tables (3-4), but there was room for us. My mom actually enjoyed her chicken tacos. I never thought in a million years that Mom would a) agree to go to Chipotle and b) not entirely hate it. She's very much a cheeseburger and fries person... Likes one thing and sticks with it. After Chipotle, maybe there's hope for her yet.

I have been going every week since it has opened, the attitude of the servers is unbearable at times. The consistency is very poor and if you happen to have a large order they blatantly mock you.

Chipotle? More like Chipot-lame. I ordered a kids meal (I am in my twenties but I was feeding my maturity's age, not my chronological one) which includes two miniature tortillas, choice of protein, and two "sides," which are shoveled into a styrofoam-ish container with partitions as to regulate portion sizes. In my hastened state of hunger and as a neophyte of Chipotle protocol, I apparently misunderstood the stipulations of the "two sides" definition. So when I directed the burrito barrista to apply pinto beans for one taco and black beans for another, I didn't realize that ixnayed my option for lettuce and salsa. Nope. * cue the shot clock game buzzer sound* Denied... I had already exhausted my burrito enhancing garnish supplies with beans. No lettuce for you. No salsa for you. I wasn't even going to inquire about the cheese. Qdoba, I miss you, baby. I'll be coming home soon, sweetheart.

Chipotle is one of my addictions. This location is always on top of their game. They are fast, friendly, and always have everything ready for when customers come in. I love their non-GMO policy and their high quality of food! Definitely one of my favorites.

Atmosphere here is great and of course food is good. The staff at this location is cordial to costumers but seem unhappy. The most concerning thing is every time we are there, a manager or another coworker is openly criticising another employees work. Also, do not order online for pick up! They seriously messed up both my husband and my burritos.

Being from Texas I do love good Mexican food. I like chipotle because its fast fresh and tasty. Open one in La Grange!

Generally I love Chipotle and whenever given the chance to pick Chipotle, Moe's or Qdoba I pick Chipotle...except for this one. I was so excited when this location opened right down the street from me but have been disappointed by one thing or another every time I've gone in. The first few times I chalked up to newness then I just quit going. Finally went back a few months ago and went to top off my burrito with some salt, pepper and sauce and found no salt. So I asked the person behind the counter who went into the back and brought out a big box of salt and filled up a salsa cup for me then explained they no longer will put salt out because the customers steal all of the salt shakers. I wrote a note to their corporate office to let them know about this location as it just didn't seem up to par with the rest but the only response I got was basically "thanks for your concern we will talk to the franchisee about the salt". This past week I decide to give it another try. People are very friendly but the place is dirty and still can't get salt. "We used to have it but you can blame all of our bad customers that steal our salt shakers for not having it out." Did they quit making salt in those little packets??

Always good food, service is defiantly lacking. Employees need to develop a higher sense of urgency and system to move customers through the line quickly.

I think Chris W's review was a little unfair. The place is BRAND NEW and so are the employees. Got to crawl before you walk! I went there for the first timer ever today AND I LOVED IT. I'm no health nut and was a little unsure about all this "organic" health stuff. Well, my burrito was OUT OF THIS WORLD and somewhat healthy! Hey! I talked to 2 of the staff and they were super friendly. I don't know what else you could ask for. The music was nice (kinda loud but I like that) and its very clean and organized. A+++++ all around. I guess I wish they had a drive through but I don't mind getting off my ass once in a while! Keep it up guys and WELCOME TO LOUISVILLE!

Absolutely filthy. Floors and tables covered with crud. Only one garbage can available, overflowing to the floor. First & last time there. One star is a gift.

This was my second visit and both times came away disappointed. I visited around 8 p.m. and it was fairly slow but still stood in line for about 5 minutes. The food is average at best. Seems to me I am paying $7 for a bunch of rice, beans and lettuce. They simply do not add enough chicken or steak to their bowls. I'm not the biggest Qdoba fan for the same reason but they blow Chipotle out of the water. I'm good on the loud techno music too. Came home that night and my stomach started to bother me as well. I eat hot sauce everywhere but theirs apparently gave me the fits.

First, the employees on the serving line were friendly and attentive. It isn't always easy to put a true smile on your face when confronted with a huge line of customers in the restaurant world. So good for them. The food-- I used to frequent Chipotle on the East Coast several years ago. For some reason, I remember more options. I could be wrong on what I remember though. Regardless of that, I wasn't impressed with the variety of toppings nor of the ordering options. Some of the ordering options existed but weren't clear at all on the menu (does the veggie burrito or bowl come with free guac or not?). The quality of the food was fine, although including cilantro in the rice is annoying for people who think cilantro tastes like soap. The setting-- the restaurant was clean but I would have liked to see serving tongs for the sliced lemons. The mix of seats and high top bar stool tables is odd. When seated at the higher tables, there is no real place to set a purse or coat. The addition of a few hooks under the tables would have been cheap and simple. Overall-- food is tasty but nothing special. I would return here but wouldn't seek it out. I'd just pick the fast service burrito place that was convenient. I would pick Qdoba over Chipotle for having more options on the menu and being much clearer for ordering.

Love their food! Vegetarian friendly! Good grilled vegs and tasty black/pinto beans. Great med salsa. And good value as they will fill your bowl as full as you want.

Great atmosphere, great food, great music and an overall great place to grub down!

Has gradually gotten better over the last 90 days. Level of service much faster and dining room much cleaner. Still need someone to wipe down tables and clean more often as people leave and new patrons quickly need a place to sit down after they are served. I suggest during rush time of 12-2 they have a full time attendant who handles nothing but cleaning and wiping. Just my 2 cents.

We eat at Chipotle in Maryland it is our favorite fast food restaurant. This location was excellent the food, service, and it was extremely clean also. Love this place!

If you're looking for a quick, quality dinner, this is your place. Chipotle's concept and food is awesome. I've gone to this location many times, and the service has never let me down. Every new location has it's ups and downs, so I would definitely try it again if you didn't love it the first time. Also, I think the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
(5)Kevin S.
This is the only Chipotle that's inconsistent with its food quality. Some days it rocks and others it just tastes really bland. There isn't a steady team here, I think it is a revolving door of employment because every time I go there's a new face I don't recognize and they can't get a good serving pattern down. BUT it is still Chipotle and it still does rock when the team has a good day, but it's not what got Chipotle to where it stands as a company today.

Try the sofrita salad. It spicy ....and vegetarian. Put some wonderful grilled peppers on ...then add quacamole. Be sure to top with salsa.

This is like a combination of fast food/restaurant style. Offers a Mexican buffet line, you go thru while they fix what you order. It's organic. Family friendly. Always busy. Truly awesome !

Waited 10 min in line. Always busy. Got in before the 4 track teams competing over at Tom Sawyer Park. Waited on promptly. Food was good. Something wrong with the unsweet tea dispenser, so had to ask for it,which they got it with a smile. Always too cold for me. I think the ac is on and its December. Out of the usual forks. At least someone went to get some at the store. Trash is usually over full, but not today. Floor needs swept.

Great location, food was good as always and waiting time was not that long!
