About what you would expect for a steakhouse chain. Nice salad bar and the same steaks and burgers as most other steakhouses in the area. Worth a visit for the salad bar alone.

I have been to this restaurant three times and each time we had an enjoyable experience. Friendly staff, salad bar is well stocked and entree are very good. However on our last visit, the order was completely messes up. The steaks were plated wrong so we just switches steaks but my daughter steak had to be returned, she ordered medium rare she received well done. All in all I will visit this restaurant again and recommend to friends.

Went there for the first time today based on co-worker's advice. Got there before the dinner rush in time to take advantage of the Early Bird special. I had 6 oz sirloin & baked potato. The steak was cooked well (medium) & the Pendennis Club's Henry Bains sauce was a nice touch. Salad Bar needed attention - lettuce bowls were almost empty and the boiled egg was frozen. The fruit looked like it was canned, so I passed. Otherwise, the salad bar was clean & all items looked fresh. Will definitely go back a 2nd time to try the Pork Chop.

My first time here. We came late-night (30 min before they closed) and were seated immediately. Once we placed.our order, our waiter brought the HOT, soft yeast rolls with whipped butter. I love warm/hot bread so this increased my like of the place. our food came relatively quickly. I ordered the Tobacco burger with an extra side of broccoli. The burger had tomatoes, lettuce, 2 types of onion and pickle. The French fries were particularly good and seasoned well. They were Not too salty, but not too bland either. Atmosphere: This building used to be the location of the restaurant Max and Erma's. Since Cattleman's Roadhouse took over, they changed the decor a little, but not very drastically. The service was wonderful, considering we arrived only 30 min before they closed. I liked everything about my burger except that the meat didn't have any seasoning. I tasted the pickles, tomatoes, lettuce and onions, but not the meat. :-/ I'll probably return to try other menu items.

The staff is very friendly and the food is good. The pork chop and mashed potatoes with gravy are very tasty! The pork chop is crispy - like your grandmother would make it. The salad bar costs extra with a meal but has a good variety of items.

This is close to my home so I've been a few times. Went for lunch with a friend last week. We both had the salad bar, which is quite good. Then he had fried pork chop and I had a burger. My only complaint is that meal was brought out a good 15 minutes before we finished salad. It was a weekday lunch, so I imagine most people would have appreciated the expedited service. But I wish they would have asked ... Nothing worse than cold, soggy fries. I will know to ask them to delay putting in food order several minutes next time. Otherwise food was delish. And restaurant was not very crowded, which is always nice.

Went with some friends on a very busy Christmas shopping night. The place was packed but we were seated quickly and got great service Food was cooked perfectly and the prices were very reasonable. It looks like a chain but they treat you like it is not. Waitress kept apologizing about not being there all the time but she wa there when we needed her I will return!

I went into the restaurant with low expectations. I would much rather go to a local place than a franchise. This didn't raise my expectations at all. When we walked in we told the hostess we were there to meet four others. She said, "Oh yeah. Those people are over there" and pointed to the corner on the other side of the restaurant. Not the slightest bit friendly. So we were off to a bad start. Our server was nice, but she called me honey, sugar, sweetie and baby. I know that's probably her way of being friendly, but I really don't like it. She did bring everything out without a long wait and any extras (i.e. napkins, rolls, dressing etc.) right away. The food was ok. I got the salmon and the sweet potato. The sweet potato was extremely delicious. The salmon was still very pink in the middle. I like sushi and don't mind eating sashimi, but I didn't expect the salmon here to be so rare. The salad bar was well stocked. I'm just not a big fan of salad bars. The rolls were hot and came with cinnamon butter. We asked for more! The jalapeno poppers were so hot we burned our mouths, but they were good. I got the brownie sundae for dessert and it was average, at best. My uncle liked his shrimp and sirloin and my grandparents said the scrap chicken. I also felt like we were in the arctic the whole time. The air conditioning was way too cold. My poor grandfather went outside because he got so cold. Overall I will probably not go back. Stay local!

My wife and I were customers at the Louisville location for some time, continuous guests. This trip will be my last time eating at this restaurant. We got to the restaurant at 2:15 pm on Nov 11th (Veterans Day). My being a veteran, I inquired about the select menu veterans could choose from with the waitress, she immediately blurted out that it ended at 2 pm. Military.com never mentioned there was a time frame involved. It took her forever to even come to the table to ask us what we wanted to drink. She had attitude the whole time we were here, as if she was the only waitress working. I'm writing this review while diligently waiting for our meals. I'm making it known I'm totally dissatisfied, and the service got worse when she found out I was a veteran.

I don't get steak very often, so was looking forward to this. Got the ribeye. VERY thin and no flavor at all... And the fries were rubbery. Disappointing.

In a town full of steakhouses, it is unlikely to come in to the market this late and be successful. We do have some horrible steakhouses that manage to keep the doors open, this one is definitely above at least a few in town. They are local and use local product, which is always a good thing, but probably not enough. Location is out of the way and would take a very unique restaurant to draw a customer base past all the other options. Prices are comparable to Texas Roadhouse, but when I want a good steakhouse for a reasonable price it's going to be Texas Roadhouse.
