This place was AWESOME! Ok the food was actually OK, the steak was a bit tasteless. The appetizers were [meh meh]. It is a better alternative though than Cracker Barrel. Their complimentary bread was AMAZING. Their mashed potatoes were AMAZING. This is why I am giving this place four stars, mastering the simple stuff is what counts! Also had a great service! Cheers!

Ordered the meat loaf and mashed potatoes to go. Yuck - the potatoes looked like pureed pineapple and had no taste. The meatloaf - I would not order again - soggy and no taste. The rolls were good, but not worth $9.00.

Great beer selection, among the best we've found across the country. The Android-powered tablet with the beer menu is amazing! The price for a flight of five beers is incredible. The pot pie was fantastic, and the remainder of the menu that we sampled was as good as any chain restaurant. The view is incredible. All-in-all, this is a must-stop if you are overnighting on the Ohio River.

All little bit of everything you love about chain restaurants. First this place is a cater to family restaurant. Lot's of TV's for the sports fans, lot's of tables for the large groups, and tacky western decor for the whole family experience. Second the menu features just about one of every type of dish. From Queso Cheese dip, to Fajitas, to sirloin strips, to fish sandwiches, to macaroni and cheese. Everyone will find something that they love to eat at Buckheads. Buckheads also makes sure to carry Louisville favorites of hot browns and fried green tomatoes. You also get their signature honey cinammon butter with sour dough rolls. This winning combination with every entree will make you feel like you sitting right back at O'Charlies! Finally, the price is reasonable. My guest and I ordered two steaks and dessert and walked away on $40 lighter. If you are looking for a run of the mill restaurant, wanting nothing fancy, making sure that the experience is not memorable, then you will find nothing wrong with this chain. Why be known for something when you can be known for everything?

A pretty decent local chain. Burger and fries were actually pretty good, especially for the price (6.99 for a double cheeseburger and one side). They have an awesome beer selection, but they are way over priced. I may go back to this place for the food, but I wont be getting any of the higher priced beers.

The food here is okay but it's nothing special. I think it's way overpriced for the quality. If you're going to watch a game, this is a good place to go as they have tvs all over the place. Otherwise I can't see any reason to go here when there are so many better options nearby. The location in Southern Indiana would probably get 3 stars just because it's right on the river which definitely improves the atmosphere. It's a nice place to enjoy a drink on a summer night.

This is pretty low on my list of chain restaurants that I prefer to dine at and my most recent trip was no exception. Everything I've ever eaten at Buckheads is mediocre to bad with the exception of the rolls. This trip I decided to try the meatloaf which is normally one of my favorite comfort foods however this may have been the worst meatloaf I've ever tasted. It was smothered in thick red sauce similar to ketchup which was far too sweet and very difficult to scrape off. The meatloaf itself had the texture of wet cat food, it was almost creamy or something which is definitely not a quality I look for in a meatloaf. I think the texture may have resulted from it being mostly filler (breadcrumbs) and not as much actual meat because I cannot think of another way that particular texture could have been achieved. The mashed potatoes had the consistency of glue and the lima beans were under seasoned but at least nicely cooked. My husband had a steak and he said it had no flavor whatsoever. We have been to Buckheads numerous times over the years and tried numerous different menu items from burgers to steaks, to ribs, to comfort foods and nothing has been memorable at least not in a positive way. The only reason for the two stars instead of just one is because our server was good and I like their rolls. Overall the few good points will probably not be enough to bring us back. Farewell Buckheads.

I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past but this experience tonight was different. The server was not very personable to start with. I was in the mood for a burger and like my burger's rare but it's hard to find somewhere that cooks them to order. When I asked if they made their burgers to order, he said yes, but came back later saying they only cook them at Med Well or more. I ordered something else and it seemed that he put in my company's order before getting my new order since they brought my company's food out before mine.

FOOD: Delicious southern comfort food. Large portions at low prices. I didn't leave hungry...and that's saying something. Plus, the pre-meal sweet rolls are incredible! SERVICE: Our waitress was very polite and attentive, but it took about forty minutes for our food to arrive. However, the rolls made the wait bearable. I'd definitely go here again. It sure beats Cracker Barrel.

Somehow, watching a small garbage bin fill with dirty dishes while sitting at the table next to us was not a great start to dinner. The chicken fried chicken that arrived was the next disappointment. I think it was cooked last week. Give them credit for their second attempt.

We got the rolls, and it went downhill from there. We went to Buckhead for my bf's father and uncle's birthday there were 9 of us and 5/9 ordered the bison burger. A few minutes go by and the waiter came out and explained that they had forgotten to thaw the bison meat that morning and everyone would have to choose something else. We explained that the whole reason we had come was for this dish. He called his manager over, and all she did was say "sorry". I don't expect whole comped meals, but the large crowd was obviously upset, why not comp the appetizers? It went from bad to worse, 2 people's chicken were so dry it was inedible. The waiter offered a free sundae which was freezer burned cheap vanilla ice cream. Overall, a very grumpy birthday dinner. I will not be returning.

One day last week, I was having a big craving for a hot brown and this was the closest place to work for me. I ordered the house salad as my side and my main dish ended up coming out before the salad. The waitress apologized and packed it to go for me with a bag of rolls and extra dressing so I felt that she accomodated me quite well. The hot brown was delicious and if I ever crave one again while I'm at work I'll go there again for sure.

I've had the worst luck with restaurant food over the last 30 days. Almost every single time, food that I ordered has ranged from mediocre to awful. For an avowed gastronome, I'm not particularly finicky. It has to taste good...as simple as that. We ordered carryout from this location. My wife got the Chicken Pot Pie, which she said was scrumptious. I took a few bites and had to concur. If she was writing this review, it would have been 5 stars. I ordered the meatloaf, which was unbelievably disappointing - dry and vapid, to say the least. I took a few bites and couldn't eat any more so I ended up eating the leftover hummus (from Dino's Bakery the night before). If not for the service and my wife's meal, this would have been a 1 or 2 star review. Ugh! So disappointing. If I'm not wrong, I might have eaten the meatloaf at the Jeffersonville location and don't recall it being this shockingly bad.

Walking distance from the house so we eat here from time to time. Would love it to be more regular but the food and service are inconsistent. Great happy hour specials on some appetizers but many are excluded. The bar area is nice but the restaurant could defiantly use a facelift.

The food is fine. I've rarely eaten here, though, and typically swing in for a happy hour or a drink after class at night. The beer selection is very good, with a wide array of draughts as well as an even larger range of bottled beers. Inside, there are plenty of tablets available to review the different selections. This is a feature I haven't seen anywhere else and really gives you a good handle on what to order without having to ask the server or bartender to explain what each one is. The outdoor patio is phenomenal on nights when the weather permits. The view overlooking the river is lively yet soothing. There is plenty of room for almost any sized party and the lodge/western decor is sure to give you something to make fun of and bond over with friends.

Burger itself was excellent although so greasy it saturated the bottom bun - so I ordered a new one - which promptly came with 2 bites left. The fries on the menu look tasty but they 'just switched' to a shoe-string fry and they were AWFUL. You're not going to stay in business with this kind of move guys. Server was friendly although had too many tables to cover for any real chance at customer service.

Walked in at 11:09pm kitchen closed at 11:30. Ordered the Chicken Pot pie, blue cheese coleslaw and the cream spinach along with a long island. All were out of this world good. Best place I have been in Louisville. Thanks Kimberly

Blend between a sports bar and family restaurant. We had great, friendly, and attentive service on a Wednesday evening for dinner. Food was decent in general considering quality vs price. Unfortunately, one of the dinners had to be sent back because it was burnt. A replacement was very quickly brought out with apologies. Certainly would have rated higher if the food and cooking were as good as the service that night, but it may be worth driving a little further somewhere else.

Kimberly was the bartender 100% great answered all questions and was happy to wait on me at 20 minutes to close. She even talked me into the carrot cake also very good. Best place I have been in Louisville. Thanks Kimberly

Don't waste your time. My girlfriend ordered a turkey burger and I had a hamburger. We've had better at steak and shake and for half the price. The service was ok, not great not horrible. The fact that it was not busy on a Saturday night speaks for itself.

Food was ok. Service was ok. Not anything to write home about. Kudos to them (or at least our waiter) for putting up with our boisterous group. And big ups for having my favorite Austrian beer!

Good dinner; steaks and burgers. Also other dishes like big chicken dinners and assorted club sandwiches, wraps, salads, etc., all made fresh... You will not leave hungry.

Pssst...this is not a chain. There are two in our area and they are locally owned!

The good. Bartender Kimmie is great. She is friendly, quick and pours well. The best food is the meatloaf, fish dinner and Bourbon butter steak. The burgers are hit and miss. Sides are average. Take away Kimmie and the bar staff is below average.

Prices up and food quality down. Total shame too as this is my neighborhood joint. Lots of beer on tap, but most are super hoppy.
