Great place to hang out with friends... Good drink specials. The food is decent at best. I've had better bar food which isn't at a high level for me. We keep coming back so it must be good... Or maybe it's just convenient.

Train wreck. We had 3 servers taking care of my party which did nothing but cause more confusion. Ordered wings and they messed up the order and then couldn't explain what they put in front of us. Wings weren't that good either. A return visit is not likely.

It's a sports bar. So, that in itself says a lot. It can be loud, or dead. The service can be great, or slower than the DMV. But, the food is pretty consistent...probably thanks to a majority of pre-prepped ingredients and such. But, overall, the food is pretty good considering the type of venue and typical clientele. I've bounced around the menu quite a bit over the years, and haven't found much to complain about. Their dry-rub wings are down-right-damn-delicious. Their burgers...plenty of choices and always a good choice. Pizzas...never head 'em, but I hear they are good as well. Other sandwiches...YUM! Meatloaf...YUM! Fish and fries...DELICIOUS! (Fries, not "chips") They took the roast beef off the weekly specials, which really, really sucks. The special slaw-like stuff they give with their burgers is THE BOMB! (yes, I said "the bomb"). There is a new location going in the Highlands, which I am actually excited about. Which is surprising, because I am not a sports bar person. But those damn dry-rub wings have me low-carb hooked!

I have been going to Brownies for years but over the last couple months the Service there has declined tremendously. The food isn't anything special, the girl in charge is very rude. Ever since Brittany and Alex moved on its not worth going to anymore. Me and six of my friends were going 3-4 days a week it is sad that we will no longer be visiting there. Don't go it's a waste of money and time.

Fun Sports bar. I have gone to Brownies three times now. Twice at lunch during the week, the third being a Sunday. We went during the Bengals game. This past time was definitely the most fun. The service is always prompt and friendly. The menu is definitely sports barish. That's being said, it is really good. They have no problem customizing a dish if requested. The wine pours are generous, and they have a good selection of beers. The atmosphere is that of a spots bar & could use some updating but, it's easy to look past that with their awesome servers & great food. We will keep coming back, I occasionally find myself craving their buffalo chicken wrap & waffle fries. It's my guilty pleasure to eat that, and theirs is the best.

Kickin Chicken! Delicious! This place is a great little spot. Plenty of tvs to watch and the staff is very accommodating in trying to find the game you want to watch. Back to the food, very good. I loved the kickin chicken and the waffle fries were awesome. The wings are very good as well. Nice and big. I tried the Bourbon wings and they were delicious. This place will definitely be revisited by me again.

I used to be a regular and had a rewards card. I had a free appetizer reward but was told since they can't tell if I had redeemed it yet, I wasn't get anything? I've been overcharged on my bill 3 times since December but they didn't seem to think that was an issue either!

Good beer selection, decent food, good crowd. My only issue is that they need to figure out a better system than having the bartenders wait on all the tables. Service would be much faster if they put servers on the tables so that the bartenders could focus on making drinks. It's a nice relaxing place to grab a drink anyway. The bartenders are very polite considering how hard they have to work. Try the fried bologna sandwich!!!

Dropped in here one day on the advice of a friend. They said it was a great neighborhood bar and it is. When I walked in I spot Tim Laird, the host of Secrets Of Bluegrass Chiefs eating. If he eats here when he is not doing a show here, it must be good. Lots of big TV screens if you want to watch a game. It has that wonderful friendly feel from the regulars there and the beautiful bartenders and servers. We all shared conversations over beers and then I decided to get a burger. It was one of the best burgers I have ever had. It came with potato chips that they make themselves and were fantastic. It was an overall great experience and I want to return and bring friends here soon.

Great drinks. Wonderful drinks even. But it is a bar. We were getting our drink on when a family was seated behind us. Although we were seated on the 'non bar side' it is still a bar. After a certain time children should not be allowed. We were trying our best to curtail the bad language but it was hit or miss as we'd been drinking for about an hour. Bar food was subpar at best. Stick to drinks when you're there. You will not be disappointed.

I met friends for my first visit to Brownies last night. I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the service. The waitress was rude from the moment we sat down. She never asked me if I wanted another drink or asked if I wanted to order food (we were there for over an hour and a half). The rest of the table had ordered food and drinks and were getting refills. I can't really give an opinion on the food as I never was offered any. I doubt I'll return. Customer service should be #1 priority in a service industry establishment. I even spoke with the young manager who didn't offer to comp the one glass of wine I did get. She stated NEXT time I come in, drinks would be on them...

Probably a good place to watch a Reds or Bengals game (not a fan of either). Mediocre bar food. Advertise 'German' food, if your idea of German is a Johnsonville Brat, I guess that's true. Will not be returning.

It's a bar - and a good one at that. Drinks are well priced and strong. The food is bar food - you're dumb to have high expectations. The staff is great. I worked in the bar industry for years and I appreciate a little sass and personality.

So on a random Wednesday I stopped back in good ol' Brownie's and am glad after all the places that churned in that location that Brownie's is still around. All their food and drinks are reasonably priced and they are always busy with the local east end "drinks during the week" crowd. Service is good and if you need a quick beer & bar food fix you won't be disappointed with Brownie's

The kids are a BIG YES on this one. They both loved their food. I liked mine too but had I understood what it was, I would have ordered something different. They have EVERYTHING on their menu anyway. I ordered the daily special (PRICE CHANGE FROM INTERNET TO $5.99 - Just FYI) of Country Fried Chicken which I asked the waitress what it was and she said a fried chicken breast. So I thought it was going to be a fried chicken BREAST. NOT A MEAT PATTY FRIED. It was still good and maybe she didn't really understand my question and I didn't really understand her answer on what an actual fried chicken breast IS. Anyway, good food and not crowded on an early week night. Kids were happy so all is well. I would definitely go back.

Great place for food and games - U of L and U of K. Don't plan on using the free wifi. It only seem to work for employees who know a password and you don't.

This place is close to my office. I have been there several times, but only eaten there once. Why? Because most times I stood around until I got tired of waiting and left. The food is awful - MacDonald's is honestly better - and the service is almost non-existent. Given the huge number of options within walking distance (PF Chang's/Panera/Mimi's/Subway/SimplySplendidSalads etc.) I am amazed that they stay in business. Bottom line: One star is far too generous. Suffice it to say I will not be returning - starvation is a viable alternative.

Back at Brownies for lunch again. Pet peeve: new servers who make it a point to call me "sweetie" or "sweetheart" as often as possible. This is unbelievably annoying to me. Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't like this - who knows. When the waitress used the terms "sweetie" and "sweetheart" in the same sentence when asking if the customer wanted gravy it was too much. When she called an elderly gentlemen who was shuffling out the door "baby doll", I looked around for the strippers, sure I had missed something, but there were none. Anyway my favorite sandwich - the Rachel - is great. Get it. Sweetie!

Just what you want from your local bar. Cheap beer, good food, and friendly service. Great place to watch a game, play corn hole, or listen to music.

Went for a beer with my family and tried the Bratzel and I fell in love. two brats on a giant pretzel bun with sauerkraut. If you come to Brownie's and get anything else you're crazy.

Downgraded to three stars for the food. Crowd is still friendly and they still offer many drink specials but the food is just pretty good. This trip I tried the chicken cordon bleu sandwich with curly fries. The sandwich was offered grilled or fried.I opted for the fried version so that it may be closer to the original sandwich was pretty good but the curly fries were soggy and limp.Service was still good and bar mates amiable. I will be back and sample some other interesting takes.

I went back to Brownie's a couple of times after the first review. Both times the food was ok and it took a really long time to get the food. The quality and service is not the same and do not recommend for food.

A local bar just down the road from my apartment. Couldn't ask for anything more. Great service, good beer, better food. The German Nachos and Cheese Balls are amazing. Also, they have game nights for both UK and UofL, and other sports as well. You never feel outta place. Oh and they have Cornhole outside. You should go there....now.....seriously, stop what you're doing and go now. Unless they are closed, then sit outside patiently.
