Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Our only eating out experience in Louisville during Derby weekend was to pick up a pizza at the local chain, Bearno's...every restaurant in town was PACKED due to the number of tourists. We were ravenous after leaving the Derby at 7pm, our only sustenance during the day had been Juleps and Beer. My roommate told us Bearno's was her absolute favorite pizza so we decided to give them a call. Despite the crowds and chaos of the city, Bearno's quoted us only 25 minutes for a pizza. This was perfect, as it took us just that long to make our way to the pizza parlor. Bearno's itself has an eat-in restaurant that serves pizza, pastas, Stromboli, and beer. We ran in the eatery and grabbed our piping hot pizza; the ten minute drive back to the house was torturous with the scent of mozzarella and tomato. First bite was heavenly, I can't say if it's because I was starving or if it was really that amazing, but I do remember the very thin, garlicky, crust was loaded with spicy sauce and topped with mozzarella. Our other option for pizza was Louisville-based chain Papa Johns, and Bearno's killed Papa J.

Terrible dining experience, this place might as well not have a dine in area, it's too small. The staff was just slow and off putting probably because they don't serve people very often. Maybe it's petty, but I expected to get a regular sized plate with the pizza, but we were stuck with our appetizer plates. The garlic bread was not very good, it didn't really have much taste. The pizza, however, was great. We got the all meat pizza with tomatoes, a medium was too much for three people, but probably just right for four people. At least the pizza was worth it. Next time I'll order to go.

We were unexpectedly stuck in Louisville late on a Sunday night and hadn't eaten. The hotel desk gave us a menu for Bearno's. I'd never heard of them, but as our options were limited, we ordered a large Mama Bearno's pizza and house salad for delivery. The meal did not get off to a good start, as our delivery guy didn't have napkins, condiments or plates for the salad. The food, however, was quite good. The crust was light and crispy. The toppings were so generous that it was difficult to eat a slice without leaving a trail of sausage and mushrooms on the table (or plate if we'd had one). It was a bit light on the cheese, so if you're a gooey cheese lover you might be disappointed. The salad was enormous and a very good value for the money. Overall, I'd recommend giving Bearno's a try.

I'll have to say I am biased because I work for a cheese company but do yourself a favor. Ask them what brand of cheese they put on the pizza. It's there #1 topping and a majority of the flavor. When they said, "I don't know it comes in a white box" you may want to look elsewhere. Wick's or a new stop Jet's would be better. You can't save money and buy low grade products and expect to keep customers raving. Was disappointed cheese was burnt and had no stretch or flavor.

Great friendly prompt service and scrumptious pizza. The fresh ingredients they use put every other pizza to shame. Small seating area but, we had no trouble finding a table. We will return.

Not impressed at this thin crust pizza that seemed slightly burnt. I'm a New Yorker so having a multitude of toppings does not impress me. Also, what is with the cutting of the slices? Pizza should not come in squares unless it's Sicilian. It's a shame I'm not into the pizza, because the service was lovely and it's a nice, respectable family joint.

Called to order for delivery because there are apparently no healthy food options across Louisville and was put on hold twice for over 10 minutes before I hung up and ordered elsewhere. Not a great way to run a business.

Worst pizza EVER!!!! First it took over an hour to have it delivered when I live not even 5 minutes from the place. When it got here, it was already cold. The breadsticks are very thin pieces of bread that are tasteless and very tough to chew. The crust on the pizza is made of the same dough as the breadsticks. The pizza was also very unbearable. Again the crust was very tough to chew and my mouth was actually starting to hurt from trying to eat it. The whole meal altogether was unappetizing and very unimpressive. Wish I would've gone with a different pizza place. Never again ordering from Bearno's.

Burnt cheese on the top of what was to be an all meat pizza was horrible, but it was even worse when it turns out the only meat that was really on the pizza was a ton of sausage with a couple pieces of pepperoni and ham. The chicken parmesan was decent along but not having enough noodles. The cheesy breadsticks were fair, considering our hunger. It not only got one star because of the burnt cheese all sausage meat pizza, but being over charged by $9.00, until I caught the mistake and was told "O, sorry I cannot add tonight." Shouldn't being able to add be a prerequisite for running the cash register and business?

Did I mention this pizza sucked? Thought it sucked worthy of another sucky review.

Love the piled-on toppings, always delicious. It never disappoints. I really like the Bowman field location, watching planes take off is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon while nursing a hangover.
