Potato latkes were like my polish great grandmothers and the grits won me over (I'm from the North and I've never cared for them). The orange juice was fresh squeezed and amazing! Can't wait to come back again. Service was also fun and friendly!

This place is super cute. In a strip mall, and a bit of a wait on a Sunday morning, but worth it. Our waitress was fantastic. So sweet and full of southern charm. The food was really affordable and really fresh. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. Enough for 2, maybe 3 meals. A great little brunch spot to check out if you're in Lexington.

Finally tried on a Sunday lunch rush. We only had to wait about 20 minutes, which isn't bad considering we came at the busiest time possible. I got the Kathy eggs benedict, which was amazing! Corn cakes with chorizo, avocado, salsa, and egg benedict on top. I would recommend getting something in place of the home fries because they're not very good. You can also replace the muffin for their pancakes, which are massive and tasty. Great brunch in lex!
(3)Jenna T.
I love it here! Great breakfast food and the fact that I can get a pitcher of mimosas or a well decorated Bloody Mary makes for the start of a great day! It's right off exit 108 so really easy to get too
(5)Cynthia S.
Loved this place, the French toast was delish and they have GREAT coffee! Also had grits and cheese which was good. 4 stars only because there was a long wait.
(4)Becc W.
You totally should come. This place is awesome. This menu is hip deep in classics and enticing new options. With the added bonus of a liquor license it just gets better. I had the name sake, Wild Mushroom and Roasted Garlic Scramble with a Proud Mary to drink as an accompany to my coffee. The only thing to rival the food is the service. While I noticed some servers didn't smile much, Taylor, my server was great. Polite conversation and excelling service. I'll be back with guests to join.

What else can I say about the best place to get breakfast? This place is the Starbucks of breakfast places. You don't expect anything else when you come here to eat. The food is always made to be the best. The wait is so worth it. An hour every time you go. But this place is always worth coming too every time. I'm so happy they are opening one by me soon. :)
(5)Erin M.
This place is so good. We went on a Sunday and there was a wait which generally can be hard with 3 kids but they were able to get seated sooner than expected. We each ordered something different and it was unreal how good everything was. Can't wait to go back again!
(5)Kim P.
Great breakfast grub. I had the pancakes with bacon added. The serving size is huge, so go hungry. If not, order a single pancake. Grits of the day are also tasty; I like the variety. Great service, quiet early, and very kid friendly.
(4)Music City M.
Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict was DELICIOUS, even with substituted turkey sausage. Leftovers made it two meals! On my last visit I enjoyed the Jimmy the Greek Frittata. Service is friendly and accommodating, food is fresh, portions are generous and value is reasonable. Best of all, it's got a great neighborhood vibe. FAVE!
(5)Jerry P.
Lol just TRY to find this place if you're a tourist. It was 9 o'clock on a Wednesday morning. I thought it would not be crowded and I could get a quick breakfast. I walked up to the place and there were about 10 zombies sitting on the couch in the front and at least 10 empty tables. I walked in and saw what I thought was a counter area, but soon realized people were waiting for seats. I walked out
(1)Benjamin P.
The Kelsey KY Brown sando was delish! Ms. Shelby was a delight. She knew the menu and had great recommendations. The EVERYTHING muffins were all we expected and more. Also recommend the Kalamity Katies, cheers!
(5)Amy R.
I'm a breakfast lover. Wild Eggs is like a birthday present everytime I venture in. Fresh food (BIG menu), good service and an upbeat, urban atmosphere. Ask about their coffee of the day. It's a special treat!
(4)Sandra B.
Delicious! Super fresh! Everything had full flavor. & the coffee ..... perfect. True breakfast restaurant
(5)Ron B.
Being from elsewhere, I didn't find it to be especially expensive so I'm not really sure what's that criticism is about. As a gluten-free person, Kentucky isn't exactly on the train with tons of places that you can get brunch yet. There are a few random spots, but they're few and far between ESPECIALLY in Lexington and if they're out there, they're surely not well advertised. So enter Wild Eggs, where you can get gluten-free french toast. It was very, very good. The best part is, despite your long wait to get in this place (we waited 30 minutes) the service in-house is quite good, despite what seems to be one waitress working a lot of tables. The delivery of your food is super fast, so that's not where the bottleneck exists. If you're looking for a great brunch, Wild Eggs will get the job done, but you'll wait for the pleasure. So it's not a place you probably want to go every weekend, but it's surely worth your time as a brunch spot.
(4)David S.
Great food and atmosphere... Just turn down the music!!!!y have only had one bad plate here but they made it over. Always good food and service.
(5)Wes C.
The Good: the food, pepper sauce, customer service, environment, cleanliness. The Bad: they don't bottle the pepper sauce. The Rundown: you walk into a very busy restaurant where the staff is friendly and the diner looks clean and organized. The pictures on the wall all have something to do with eggs, but are elegant and kinda funny. Their food selection is amazing, they have all different styles of breakfast and I have yet to find something I don't like. I must talk about the pepper sauce. It comes with their southwest style beans and taco thingy. This lemon, lime, habanero juice is amazing, I straight drink it from the shot glass. I want to line up 3 or 4 and have them there to drink with my meal, for real, it is that good. Service is fast and friendly. The Impression: there really isn't much that I can say other than this place has wonderful food and a quick service place that just seems healthier than a waffle house. Please, bottle that juice though.

Even though my GPS got us lost, we were still able to find the deliciousness. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often. Everyone was super polite, and service was awesome. I loved the egg theme throughout the restaurant.
(4)Margie S.
Another fabulous meal!! Service was excellent ! Everyone was happy with there meals. It was crazy busy this Sunday morning and they kept everything flowing. I had the hippie granola waffles . They were very filling and tasty. Coffee was at the front while we waited for our table. I thought that was a nice added touch . We always return when we visit Lexington. I love the bar area. If there isn't a table and your party is only two or three people. Why wait! Sit there and enjoy people watching as you enjoy your meal! That's my latest take on wild Eggs!!

Been here many times. Would have voted 4 stars easily after my first couple visits, but now I think 3 is right. It is an expensive place for breakfast, but the quality is above average. Good: bright & clean atmosphere, some very well designed dishes, bold flavors, good strong coffee, fresh-squeezed juice. Not so good: High prices and they tend to serve their poached eggs a bit undercooked & too cold for my taste. A few tips: --If you don't like uncooked egg white, order your eggs medium. --The potatoes are nothing special, but the grits of the day are always worth checking into. There are some adventurous ingredient pairings. More often than not it is a hit. Points for creativity. --The Kalamity Kate's Border Benedict is a star of the menu. Really good dish. --The pancakes are just so-so imho.
(3)Jeff J.
Had breakfast for the first time here. Lots of people waiting outside, but the wait went quickly, with coffee while you wait. The food was delicious and the staff very accommodating and friendly. Gluten free French toast was wonderful. Will be back.

It was surprisingly packed Saturday 9am. The staff was clearly not ready for this level of traffic: no coffee for people who are told of 15-minute wait, and poor communications between the two ladies at the front desk. They both look intense and not nearly as friendly or cheerful as other staff we had met in our over a dozen visits since they opened. Our server seemed new to the job, too. Perhaps they sent the more experienced staff to the Justice drive location? He did not ask about the side dish selections that come with the omelet; It took at least 15 minutes to get the two entrees we ordered since we had placed the order. (It used to take 5-10 minutes at this time of the day.) There was no maple syrup for the pancake until we reminded the server, and he did not ask how the food tasted at all. Moreover, our bill was not brought until we flagged down our waiter after he had walked past our table several times without making eye contact. We can sympathize his workload but it was mediocre service at best. Where did the good staff go?! Now the main reason for a 2-star rating: The entrees (omelets and eggs) tasted as good as they were but the pancake (came as a side) was raw in the center: I could see and taste the wet flour! My husband got stomach aches after eating it (before I found the uncooked center). Perhaps it is best to stay away until they train the new staff properly.
(2)Ann L.
Waited fifteen minutes to get a table. It's well worth it. Chose to sit outside and get a little sun to enjoy the wait. They have a few patio tables and chairs to sit in while you wait or to eat at. Cute look inside. I like the egg shaped cut outs in the divider wall and egg canvas art. I expected it to cost more after seeing the 2 dollar signs, but 2 of us had more than enough and only spent $19, plus a nice tip since server did so awesome. I got the stuffed French toast. It was rich and delicious. Cream cheese is the stuffing. I look forward to another visit to try the other menu items that went by (teasing) me to other customers. It wasn't just brunch, it was a lovely experience.
(5)Mark S.
I cannot rave about this place enough. The omelets are the bomb and so is the French toast. I hate to admit it, but my girlfriend got the crepes and I thoroughly enjoyed those as well. This place is my number one thought every Saturday morning.

Our family recently found a great Brunch spot: Wild Eggs - Lexington! The ambiance was bright, clean, fresh, and modern (egg-themed). The menu choices have something for everyone. The service was fast and friendly. The food was fresh, our orders arrived quickly, and everything was prepared perfectly. My hands-down favorite menu selection? *Eggs Bennie ~ Toasted English muffin, Canadian bacon, poached eggs, fresh hollandaise and smoked paprika. My wife enjoyed *Kelsey "KY" Brown ~ Toasted sourdough bread, roasted turkey, applewood smoked bacon, diced tomato, white cheddar Mornay, fried egg and smoked paprika. The best part? Our children have new 'favorites', too! Our teenage son likes *Chili Verde Huevos Rancheros ~ Two eggs any style with green chili, black beans, skillet potatoes, sour cream, pico de gallo, green onion and a warm flour tortilla. Our elementary school age daughter likes * Strawberry Tall Cakes ~ Buttermilk cakes, fresh sliced strawberries, strawberry compote, whipped cream and powdered sugar Bottom line? This is a great Sunday brunch spot with a bright atmosphere and a variety of tasty dishes. If you've not tried it yet, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!
(5)Sarah O.
Best breakfast place in Lexington hands down, well worth the wait! Service is always great, food is amazing!! Love trying their specials, favorite was some type of hash brown casserole mix up! Never have been disappointed with any plate, nor anyone I have gone with. Highly recommend!
(5)Andy S.
I really enjoyed the menu at Wild Eggs and found myself having several good options to choose from. It was busy on a Sunday morning but got us in pretty quickly and also had complementary coffee which was a nice touch. Had an omelette with some fixings which was good along with the grits of the day and the muffin. The grits were awesome. Also shared a cinnamon roll which was tasty though the frosting was a little too cream cheesy for my taste. Service pretty good except a bit slow. Very nice people though. Would come back for more.
(4)Katie S.
Great! Just amazing! Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned perfectly. I loved the favors they put together. I was very pleased with the food. The wait was a bummer and staff was hit and miss. They brought the hot sauce with out even having to ask and they sell mimosas by the pitcher so you can't go wrong!!
(5)Robin M.
Didn't wait long to be seated, and place seemed pack. Was told 15min. only took 5min. Service was very good and friendly. Informative about menu choices. Food came out fast and hot. Table ordered: Bananas Foster French Toast- like a dessert, yummy with ice cream on top. Kasey Brown- perfect, filling Club House Scramble- with potatoes and everything muffin. Muffin was delicious and moist, just like an everything bagel, but better. Eggs Benny-classic dish and couldn't have gotten any better. Atmosphere was super clean and modern. Everything was egg themed:) We really enjoyed the experience!

I was a big fan of this place on my first visit. I ordered eggs Benedict (a fancy kind, I can't remember the menu name for it) with a mexican twist. It was soooo good. My friend who I met there for lunch had the mushroom burger. She let me have a bite of it and I decided this is what I would order next time. It was so creamy and just melted in your mouth. I would compare this place to First Watch, but a step up. A big step up. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, and serve mostly breakfast foods with a few lunch type options. It is a little bit pricy for breakfast food, around the $10-13 range but it is worth a try. Everything was presented very nicely. And we had an excellent waitress. I didn't get her name, but the receipt said April. If that was correct, April was very nice and helpful. She offered menu suggestions and helped us order and was just very friendly.
(5)Samara B.
I ordered the egg salad sandwich with was on toasted bread. It was actually really good. It came with fries and my husband who ordered a breakfast entree was jealous b/c the breakfast potatoes that were not as cooked as he would have liked. In the not so distant padt, I have also ordered the Maria ' s City chilliquetas (I don't think that's how it's spelled) which is a tasty Tex-mex style casserole served with a (non alcoholic) shot of lime & pepper juice which really could use some tequlia. My biggest concerns is the service issue I've had and the amount of dishes that have churizo in it. And try not to bring large groups. It seems to confuse the hostesses.
(4)Heather P.
Came with a friend for brunch, and they split our two meals in-plate, so we didn't have to cut them in half ourselves! That's pretty neat. Food was enjoyable. We got the Veggie Bennie and a Wild Berry Crepe. Both were delicious! Although, we're glad we asked for sauce on the side because we no did not really enjoy the berry sorghum that came with the crepes. Other than that personal little preference, my friend and I loved it! Also, love the retro dinner feel! Good food, good service, clean and cute atmosphere make this place a hit for me!
(4)Starr P.
Delicious food! Go early to get a spot and not wait. Cool space and great staff too. Worst part is just deciding what to get. ;)
(5)Sandy P.
Visited from North Carolina and absolutely adored this breakfast spot. My friend and I shared the biscuits and chorizo gravy as well as the Wild Mushroom Benedict. Both dishes were sensational. Our server -- Nikki -- was so sweet and friendly. She made us feel so welcome. The coffee was excellent, and I love when establishments leave a coffee carafe on the table. I would recommend this place to anyone!
(5)Heather T.
This a small chain restaurant with just a few stores in the area. I really enjoy coming here. The atmosphere is really interesting it has a really clean and open feel, and also had a diner feel. They have a great variety of eggs Benedict, my husband and I are trying to work our way through them. Most of the egg Benedict plates come with an everything muffin. I had never heard of them before, but let me tell you....WONDERFUL. I ventured out of the normal this last time and tired one of their cinnamon rolls and was not disappointed! It was delicious.
(5)Kristina P.
It's breakfast, it's tasty, but why oh why can't they stay open all day? Don't they realize sometimes you NEED potato latkes at midnight? Come to think of it, a LOT of times you need them at midnight. Seriously though, I've been here several times and they are fairly consistent in their quality. I was quite excited when they arrived in Lexington after having eaten at their Louisville location. I hear they're opening up a second Lexington location already. Everything I have tried has been quite good. The egg dishes are the best (no surprise, given the name) and the potato latkes are not to be missed. Just get there before they close.
(4)Todd A.
Absolutely great place for brunch! Classy, great menu with different twists. Many spirited drinks, grits of the day, coffee of the day as well!! Be prepared to wait at peak times. Well worth the wait. They also have circular community seating, if open seat, no wait!
(5)Dallas C.
This is a nice place to go for breakfast or lunch. Decent food. Kind of pricey really for what it is. Portions are nothing to get excited about. Overall it's pretty cool. Not sure how often I'll return. Honestly Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans is a better choice for me at least.
(4)Jane V.
Been here three times. It's a bustling breakfast place, typically with an extended wait where service is quick, efficient and pleas you. Nothing special about the ambiance, but the crazy extensive menu can be kind of overwhelming. This last time we had Kalamity Katie, Greek Fritatta and Chilaquiles. Everything was really tasty and well prepared--only complaint was somehow I thought the everything muffin would somehow have been a pen Englush muffin -- it was not. I don't eat muffins and wished I'd realized that and substituted toast for the muffin. Espresso drinks are excellent. This doesn't feel like the kind of place to sit a spell, especially on the weekend. Really great options for breakfast/brunch.
(4)Alan M.
Expensive breakfast but you get what. You pay for. Just would not call this a regular breakfast spot. Food was delicious tried the breakfast burrito. I would recommend and I will return next time I am in town.
(4)Ernie D.
Went for brunch on a Sunday at around noon. The place was pretty packed and we had to wait a while for a table (we did have a party of 8, which probably didn't help). There was free coffee to tide us over, however, which helped a little. After sitting down, our waitress immediately took our drink orders. The pitchers of mimosas are probably your best bet as everything else is pretty outlandishly expensive. $3.50 for a glass of orange juice? I could get a gallon next door at Rite Aid for less than that. The pitcher of mimosas will get you about 6-7 for around $20, but that doesn't help if you don't feel like drinking. The food is definitely worth going for, though. I had steak and eggs. The meat was done to a perfect medium and the eggs were poached better than I have had at most places. There was a pretty good amount of food for the price and I was super full after finishing my plate. My wife also got a pancake for me to try, and it was pretty amazing. I don't know how they make a pancake taste better than any other pancake but they do. Other than the weirdly expensive drinks, this place is worth checking out.
(4)Sam J.
I ordered the French toast, skillet potatoes and bacon. Apart from the bacon, which was a little too floppy for me, everything was good. This seems like the kind of place one would go after church, a lovely atmosphere with a variety of tasty dishes. I have four stars because the service could have really been better and the food itself didn't scream five stars. I will come back to the wild egg and suggest you try it!
(4)Josh R.
My wife and I joined a friend for breakfast here a couple Saturday's back. Boy, are we glad we did. Food was fresh & enjoyable and service was great. I think I was most surprised by the ability to order potato latkes...and wow! I would have never imagined that you could find latkes, much less delicious latkes in Lexington! They aren't as good as my granny's, but they were amazing! The place was packed, but we got a seat in a relatively quick manner. Service was prompt and friendly. When the cook slightly messed up my order, our server made it right and smiled. Coffee was fresh, tasty and always filled up. We will be back!
(5)Sarah V.
I went here a little before closing on a Saturday. Love the interior, it's very pretty and the egg theme with everything is cute. I got the Surfer Girl omelette with a muffin and plain grits. I also got a cappuccino. Everything was great. I think I'm used to bad grits. I don't know if I'd ever had good grits before, in fact. The grits here were great! I'm used to grits from Cracker Barrel that are gelatinous and pretty flavorless. The plain grits were actually pretty flavorful and not at all gelatinous. They were creamy and pretty salty, but I enjoyed the saltiness. The omelette was nice because of all the ingredients. Avocado, sprouts, mushrooms, sour cream, tomatoes. I couldn't identify what kind of muffin it was but it was actually a savory muffin, something with onion in it I think. I wanted a decaf cappuccino but they only had caffeinated espresso so I went with that. Tasted pretty good; I'll probably get one each time. I wanted to try their mimosas because I've heard good things, but I'll have to save that for when I'm not driving. I ate about half my food before I got full, so I had plenty of leftovers. It's more pricy than what I'd want to spend all the time on breakfast/brunch, but I'll definitely be back and I felt like I got a good value for the quality and quantity of food I got.
(4)Dennis W.
Try this place for breakfast or brunch. I've been a couple of times to this location and have had a great service experience and the food has been delicious each time. I get the classic Eggs Benny. The poached eggs are cooked perfectly each time, the sauce is rich and delicious, and the Canadian bacon is perfect atop the toasted English muffin. I pair mine with the potatoes for a perfect breakfast meal. Oh, and if you're a fan of mimosas then you'll enjoy the ones here. The juice they use is fresh squeezed and gives that extra bit of richness you'll love.
(4)Dorthy D.
This place was great! The biscuits and chorizo gravy were fantastic, the omelette was huge, and the service was fast and friendly. I'll definitely be returning to this location!
(5)Greta W.
Today was my first visit to Wild Eggs. Normally when my boyfriend, our daughter and I go out to breakfast it's to Waffle House or Bob Evans. We were looking for something different this morning when we went to Wild Eggs and we definitely got it! The price point was a little higher than other breakfast places. For the three of us before the tip, it was $35. I'll start with the good (because there isn't much bad!) I got the Surfer Girl omelette and it was delicious. A little heavy on the cream cheese, but the fillings and the toppings were so good. I also got a single "s'mores" pancake with it. It was like HEAVEN for a pancake lover like me. I'd get a whole stack of pancakes next time. I was too full to eat all of my everything muffin, but the few bites I had were great and I don't generally like everything muffins. Also worth noting was the fresh squeezed orange juice. At first I thought $3.49 was a little pricy for a glass, but you could definitely tell it wasn't Tropicana! Our server was wonderfully pleasant. Answered any questions we had, helped us decide, made recommendations...you could tell she was well versed on the menu. My boyfriend got the steak (well done) and eggs. The steak still had a good amount of pink and it was a little tough. We definitely plan on going back when we're in the mood for a "special treat" breakfast.

Pick this restaurant, you won't be let down. Amazingly delicious. Great service (thanks Tara). Perfect atmosphere. Once per week, I splurge on a meal, and I had my first meal here recently. Ordering was hard. I watched all the people around me loving pancakes, French toast, sandwiches, fries. Everything looked amazing. I ate with two others, and we shared mimosas, a cinnamon roll, and apple bourbon crepes. Those three things would have sold me by themselves. I can't say enough about the flaky texture and the presentation of the cinnamon roll. The crepes were perfectly prepared and the flavor was out of this world. I scooped up the syrup after!! The actual meals were also unbelievable. Kelsey Brown, breakfast burrito jds style, and bennies gone wild. I had potatoes with my hot brown at the suggestion of Tara and dipped them in the egg yolk and cheese. It's definitely the way to go. The burrito was huge and every bite I stole was delicious! My sister had the bennies, loved the sauces, and she's hooked!!
(5)Laura P.
What a fantastic breakfast. We were in Lexington for the weekend with our dog and were able to sit outside with him. Our waitress Shelby was so nice and service was really fast. Eggs were cooked perfectly, and the chorizo grits were delicious. What a great place.
(5)Ross R.
Great food and atmosphere here. The only issue is that you'll most likely have to wait a long time to be seated. I've been here four times and the food has been great every time. You should definitely check this place out if you haven't been.
(4)Ashlee F.
We stopped here for brunch after Thanksgiving out of state and never, after living in Kentucky for most of my life, have I enjoyed hot brown so much. Our server Tera was FANTASTIC! She recommended menu items and specials and took the time to know what we were looking for in our brunch experience. I can't wait to come back through Lexington so I can enjoy this meal again!
(5)Food Critic C.
Two of us went. Location very LOUD. Almost screaming to be heard across side-to-side of a small square table. Service was slow. Server had to make several trips to get all of the condiments and table set items requested - like sugar free syrup. Due to health condition - requested nutritional information. Member of management said he conferred with the Executive Chef on duty. Manager came back ten minutes later without any information. If there was indeed a credentialed Executive Chef on duty, the nutritional information would have been easy to provide. As it were, consulted a generic online database and then gambled. We missed our estimates. NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION AVAILABILITY = BIG FAIL on gluten content, carbohydrates, fat types, etc. WiFi: Unstable and kept getting dropped. Multiple attempts to get online food data to answer health questions. Food: Omelet - average. Grits of the day - portion small, not as spicy as expected. Toast - so cold it would not melt butter. Belgian Waffle - also so cold it would not melt butter. Waffle exterior texture was slick & slimy = too much spray on waffle iron. Waffle interior closely resembled a "pound cake" in both texture and taste = Yuck! Compared to First Watch - South Broadway and Wenchell's - Southland Drive (both about 3 miles away) this is the pits of a place. This place has a long way to go. This is my second visit to this Wild Eggs. It is still in the NEEDS IMPROVEMENT category.

Lexington's brunch scene just got a whole lot better. The food was delicious. I had the Mexico City Maria's Chilaquiles, a Mexican style breakfast casserole, and it was superb. I asked if I could substitute the breakfast potatoes it came with for an everything muffin. The waitress immediately responded with a cheerful and confident, "Sure." When the meal arrived, it was hot, flavorful and my order was accurate. Pitchers of water and coffee are placed on your table so you can top off your own beverage, a nice little touch that I like. Portions are generous, but at least in the case of my Mexico City Chilaquiles, not overwhelmingly so. There was a slight wait for a table when I arrived at 11:00 AM on a weekday. I was quoted a 10- minute wait time, but I was being shown my table well before the 10-minute mark. Considering it was only Day 2 of being open for business, my experience was pretty much glitch-free. It was evident the staff was well-trained and knew the menu. Welcome to Lexington, Wild Eggs. Keep dishing up good eats and Lexington will love you.
(4)Kim N.
Totally delicious! This place was swamped when we showed up, but seats are first-come, first-served at the bar area, so we were able to snag some seats there immediately. My husband had an omelet with chorizo in it and that was absolutely amazing. My omelet with spinach and bacon was good - nothing special. The grits of the day had roasted mushrooms, havarti cheese (I think) and something else in them. Those blew my mind - they were (and still are) the best grits I have ever had. I wanted to ask them to make me a plate of just those grits. SO GOOD. I also ordered the potato latkas (mostly because I was surprised to see them on the menu) and while they tasted okay, they were super greasy. I don't think they were drained on a paper towel before they were served - I couldn't eat them. Service was great and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I would definitely come back if I lived in the area!
(4)Barb B.
Great ambience - friendly wait staff. Food was good, albeit a bit pricey for the portion sizes. Family friendly , outdoor seating available as well.
(3)Jamie M.
I struggled between a 4 and 5 star. I would probably have to say 4.5. This was opening day for Wild Eggs here in Lexington. Very clean of course. I sat down at the little bar area in the front. Staff was friendly and manager checked on how people were doing as well. I ordered the Sweet Home Apple Bourbon crepes which were fantastic. Just enough hint if sweetness to them. I had a side of traditional grits which were some of the best I have had. I would rate this a 4.5 due to the pricing. I'm comparing this to first Watch becuase they are similar. The OJ at at First Watch come in a much bigger glass and has the pulp for the same price of around 3.49 I think. Most of the meals are in the 9.99 range before you add a side. That's really my only downside to this visit. I did enjoy the bar area as I was able to strike up conversation with other patrons as I was by myself. I would definitely go back and try it again. They do have a lot of options!
(5)Stephanie C.
Mimosas and delicious breakfast combinations--hash brown casserole...eggs... White cheddar cheese...wish I were there now!! Wait staff were friendly and personable...there was a short wait but totally worth it!
(5)Seth B.
Not a very welcoming vibe from the hostess. When I asked about a place to get coffee in the shopping center while my wife and I waited for our table she just stared at me and pointed her pen at a coffee station nearby on the counter. Okay, I'm not very observant (related to being at brunch on Sunday). I waited five minutes and wrote a work email to give her time to refill after I told her it was out and she said she would refill. When I finished the email and asked her how much longer it would be she started to say they were having trouble of some sort, then a server came to the stand and she asked the server to go get more coffee. The only trouble had been that she hadn't made an effort yet. So, when your job is to be the first interface with the customers: 1) Use your words, 2) Don't make excuses (and then get caught lying). Haven't eaten yet. Not a great start, but I'll amend if we get the 4.5 star experience other Yelpers have had. Okay, bumped up the stars from 2 to 3. Our server, Lee Ann, was a peach. Food great- looked good, tasted good.

I would invest all my eggs in this place if I could, because - believe me - they will hatch! Wild Eggs never fails to deliver a mom-and-pop style breakfast with the hospitality to match. The only issue I have is deciding what to order from their wide range of deliciousness. Shout out to Nykki Cooper, who I always hope to see when I frequent this restaurant, and to Natalie who provided that Kentucky hospitality to me today that I had missed so much while living in NYC. Kudos, Wild Eggs!!!

If the owners put half as much attention into the ingredients and preparation as they devoted to their flashy storefront and colorful menu perhaps they would attract more customers. My eggs were undercooked, potatoes tasteless yet over seasoned and coffee was mediocre at best. I was surprised to see a solicitation for a cancer charity on their menu cover only to flip the page to find a menu filled with health destroying offerings. I suspect the owners know that most customers wouldn't know the difference. Well I do and I was offended especially by the fee to substitute gluten free bread. They offer muffins for 1.79 and gluten free toast for 1.99 a la carte. So then why charge .79 to substitute gluten free toast for a muffin with the order of an entree? What sense does that make especially given the establishment's pathetic attempt to generate goodwill with the cancer awareness menu cover?

Consistently tasty food and good service. These are good reasons why it gets quite crowded and a line waiting by the door after 9am on weekends. Given the healthy food preparation and the diverse menu, the prices are reasonable. Dominique has been providing great and friendly service in the past months. She sets a bright tone for our weekend morning routines. Thank you, Dominique and Wild Eggs.

We liked the one in Louisville so much, we ate at this one the next morning when we realized it was right by our hotel. Serendipity, Baby. This is one of the better breakfast places I've been, and I've been to a few. I despise waiting because I'm an impatient boob, but this was totally worth it. They have a pretty wide-ranging menu considering the fact that it's just breakfast/brunch. Everything I tried was great. Fresh squeezed OJ is always a huge plus and theirs is good. I tried the boy's pancakes (raspberry lemon?) and they were great. Not much of a sugar person, but these were that good. I'd absolutely recommend this place. P.S. If you order the hot brown and they warn you that it's hot, believe it. I think I burned a hole from my tongue down to my gizzards.

This place is a somewhat locally based restaurant chain, established in Louisville. It is very similar to First Watch. The prices and the options do seem to be a bit more...but as long as you know that ahead of time, no need to lower their rating. The service was excellent, the waitress was very personable and knowledgable. I had the Farmers Market Skillet, which was accompanied by a delicious "Everything" muffin and topped with two basted eggs. I had never heard of basted eggs, so the waitress explained them to basically be fried eggs with the yolk runny. Perfectly described. The veggies were excellent, with just the right amount of melted cheese. The water pitcher adds a nice touch too. I am glad to welcome another breakfast/lunch restaurant to Lexington.

Lexington's options for terrific breakfast fare are just fair--and certainly not plentiful. There are a handful of top-shelf choices for "the main meal of the day," but beyond that, the preferred possibilities for an upscale breakfast fade fast. Luckily, there is a now an additional option for some of the best breakfast (or brunch or lunch) in the Bluegrass, Louisville-based Wild Eggs is now open in Palomar Center in the former Beef o' Brady's location off Harrodsburg Road at Man o' War Blvd. The menu choices are plentiful and prepared to perfection. I have eaten at Wild Eggs in Louisville but the new Lexington location seems to be even a bit better. The Eggs Benedict are delicious. Few restaurants in Lexington even offer Eggs Benedict--or worse, offer an off-beat variation. Wild Eggs' Eggs Benedict are at the top of the list for Eggs Benedict done right in Lexington. The eggs are fluffy and flavorful and the accompanying breakfast potatoes are crisp and not under- or overcooked. (Sounds like a simple feat. It isn't as most restaurants in Lexington tend to serve them under cooked or they are virtually inedible from being overcooked. Not at Wild Eggs.) The portions are definitely generous. The Bananas Foster Waffle is also a winner. A warm and wonderful blend of banana rum caramel sauce, sliced banana, vanilla bean ice cream, and powdered sugar and cinnamon. Comfort food at its finest and most delicious. The staff is very friendly and the service was prompt and attentive. I predict that Wild Eggs will become a wildly popular spot for breakfast in Lexington. And I look forward to visiting there again soon and look forward to the additional locations they are planning in Lexington. Welcome Wild Eggs! What took you so long?
(4)Earl J.
Just darn good food. Yummy! Worth getting up early for...after all, it's a breakfast food place. But wait, you don't have to get up early because they serve breakfast all the time! Yay! Good and quick service too.
(5)s v.
Good option near airport and news a gas station if u need to return a rental car -- beat the rush by getting there at 9am long lines started soon after.... Cinnamon roll is huge & comes in a mini cast iron (share it!). Great options for pancake lovers and egg lovers alike.

My wife and I decided to check out their newest location a few weeks ago and were very disappointed. While the wait to be seated was not unreasonable for the busy time of day we were there (it was a Saturday morning), the time it took to receive our food from the time we ordered was rather lengthy. We both ordered the French Toast and were very disappointed. Both of ours was way undercooked and tasted like soggy mush. Our server was too busy chatting up her family which were seated at a table next to ours, to bother checking with us on the quality of our food. I honestly don't see why this place is as highly rated as it is. We were both disappointed in the value, the a la carte menu, and the severely undercooked food we received. There are way too many other choices for where to spend our money for breakfast. We will not be back.
(1)Mark E.
Very good breakfasts with lots of options. Friendly staff. There can be very long lines during the weekend mornings, but sometimes you can get a spot at the bar for a quick bite.
(4)Brooke M.
I struggled between a 4 star and 3 star. I know that this is a somewhat locally based restaurant and most things are made to order. I do wish there was more of a waiting area because most weekends there is going to be a wait. I know that I probably went on an off day and they are just getting started. My boyfriend order the Hash - which sounded so awesome. But, they were out of that, which they told us about 10 minutes after ordering. I ordered the breakfast nachos, which I assumed sat in the back while they made his new order, because everything on my plate was cold - and looked congealed. After two bites of my nachos, I found a hair in my food which they immediately apologized for and offered to fix. I ordered toast and an egg instead and everything I received the second time around was great - just was disappointed with the service.
(3)Heather A.
Omg... this place is delicious! Gourmet breakfast. Interesting ways of preparing normal dishes. Their BLT has a fried egg in it and they put avocado on just about everything, which is so good! If you're nursing a hangover, get the bloody mary! Can't wait to go back!
(5)Amanda B.
Great food that does not disappoint! Large portions, fresh ingredients, and wonderful staff!!
(5)Namarazzi N.
Sunday morning brunch rush yielded a big line but coming alone I was able to walk to to the FCFS bar behind the check in counter. The orange juice was delicious and the crabbie, while tastefully seasoned, was a bit too salty for my taste. Service was nice and the food came out in a timely manner.
(3)Kate S.
Thanks to YELP, we tried this place last weekend. I had Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict, and my boyfriend had the stuffed french toast. Both were terrific! We liked the vibe - bright and sunny atmosphere and busy but not crazy...crowded but not rushed. The hostesses had some bling on and were wearing nice dresses, which added to the classy atmosphere. We sat at the counter at this location, which was a nice option. Our waitress - Betsy - was absolutely terrific and must have a photographic memory. The only reason I gave this restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 was that many of the dishes come with potatoes and a muffin - not unlike other restaurants. The muffin was interesting - not really sweet...something I might have with chili - but the potatoes were just "there"...no seasoning, nothing special about them, just little squares of not-quite-crispy and not-really-tasty spuds. I am a big believer that if a restaurant is going to serve it, it ought to receive as much attention as the entree; otherwise, don't serve it at all. My honey thought the french toast was yummy, and my "benedict" was very interesting and tasty - very balanced, no one ingredient took over, which is hard to do with Mexican-type breakfast dishes - so we will definitely go back again.
(4)Courtney M.
Breakfast here this morning was one of the beasts I've ever had in my entire life. Janie is the shit. Favorite waitress ever.
(5)Jan M.
Amazing food every time I've been here. Excellent service! Great atmosphere! Best breakfast/brunch in town as far as I'm concerned! Yum!!
(5)Emily B.
I was looking forward to trying this place after reading the reviews, and overall, the food was good. There were five people in our party, and two of the dishes were very average, but the others were pretty good (I had the Kalamity Katy and thought it was unique and tasty). The atmosphere is average and varies depending on if you're in the front room or the back room (the front room is nicer). The biggest complaint I have is the service. The hostess was REALLY rude to us two separate times after she had put us at a table that for some reason doesn't allow children to be seated there (my 2 year-old was with us), our server was nice but water glasses were never refilled (she put a small pitcher of water on our table at the beginning, but with five people, it was gone fairly quickly), and another man came by twice when we were less than half-way through our meal pushing us to get boxes. I know they get busy, but it was completely rude to be doing this, especially less than 10 minutes after we'd received our food. I probably won't return as there are options for comparable food and better service elsewhere.
(3)Travis B.
The food was great and I will definitely come back. Some confusion in regards to seating but the food made it worth the wait.
(4)Scott M.
This is the best place in Lexington for breakfast. All kinds if choices. Only better breakfast I had was in Steamboat Springs Co. Everything fresh & fast getting your meal.
(5)Sarah R.
Come here every time I'm in town; top notch! Get the Mexico City with the spicy chicken!
(5)Jon H.
Very disappointing. I had my first and last visit here. I walked in and had to wait for over 10 min before being seated while multiple employees walking by without saying anything. When I was finally seated, it was another 10 min before being greeted by my server. I was so close to just walking out, but I wanted to see what the food was about. OJ was almost $8 and it was warm. Come on!!!! Cinnamon Roll was Burt and my hash was average at best. I can spend my money else where.
(1)Aaron R.
I've been consistently impressed by Wild Eggs breakfast and staff. The staff is always in a good mood and seem happy to see me. They know the menu well and have let me try dishes before ordering on a couple of occasions when I was unsure of what I wanted. The food has always been consistent in that it comes out in a timely manner and delicious. My only wish is it was closer to my house. Personal favorites are the breakfast burrito and breakfast nachos,
(5)Kevin F.
Very good food. Something different and tasty. :). Each dish I seen come out looked like art work.
(5)Sarah H.
Went here for brunch on a weekday morning but was pretty surprised by the crowd that was there. The place wasn't packed, but a majority of the tables were full. The decor was a little unique, which was nice. The staff that we encountered were polite and helpful. The food took a little while to come out, but I was still pleased with mine. I ordered the berry crepes (I can't remember the exact name) and they were pretty tasty. The portion, however, was TINY. I hadn't eaten breakfast so I was starving and hoped for a little more food. I think it came with two crepes? And for the price, that seemed a little......scant. I would probably come here again. But I'd definitely order something else (hopefully something with a bigger portion size), but if you're not super hungry, the berry crepes are pretty good!
(3)Josh M.
I had heard great things about this place from its location in Louisville. So when I heard we had one, I was on my way. Breakfast is one of my fav things to do on Sunday's or my day off. I enjoy a good cup of coffee and most of the time a traditional eggs, bacon and some kind of potato. But I also have a weakness for a Breakfast Burrito. Since trying Wild Eggs version ( see pics on Yelp Wild Eggs ) THIS guy I have came back 3 times in a week and had all three times. I tried to try other things but I keep wanting the Burrito. I will be back and maybe one day I will try something else
(5)Kerry S.
Come hungry, come friendly and come ready to make choices. This is a restaurant that will satisfy you in many ways. The portion size was ample; neither of us finished our meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed getting recommendations from Clay and Cassie about what to order. They even have complimentary coffee for you while you wait. And the menu... ...is sure to satisfy everyone in the crowd! This time we chose Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict and the Breakfast Burrito with a Pancake on the side. Each of us thought we had the best choice (clearly the green chile corn cake under my eggs put my dish over the top). Neither of us can wait to return to try the Bananas Foster Waffles.
(5)Bill S.
There isn't enough good to say about Wild Eggs. We were in Lexington for the Bourbon trail for four nights, and ate brunch at Wild Eggs every day four four days straight. I would have stayed another week and done it again. The servers are professional and knowledgeable. They have a good solid gluten free menu. We ate something different every time in, and it was all awesome. The mimosas and bloody marys are luscious. If you are anywhere near here, give them a try.
(5)Zumba L.
Love this place! They have an amazing selection and the food was excellent! I will be a return customer!!
(5)J H.
Another fabulous breakfast. Had the Eggs Bennie and cinnamon roll. There can't be a better cinnamon roll made! The said a 35 minute wait, it took less than 20. My wife had the Bennie gone wild...mushrooms with a spinach side. Perfectly made.
(5)Keith C.
I wasn't very impressed with the quality of the food at Wild Eggs. After reading the reviews, my expectations were riding high going into my first visit, so perhaps I set the bar a bit too high. The food was all edible, it just lacked that "scratch made" quality that you would expect from a high quality breakfast establishment. The savory items, such as the eggs and grits, scored better in my books, but the sweet items, such as the French toast and the pancakes scored low. The service was phenomenal - quick, courteous, and friendly. The establishment was clean, crisp and well decorated. Also, we were in a big hurry on this particular visit, and despite being somewhat busy, the restaurant turned our table out quickly. It's not like I wouldn't return, but I certainly won't be yearning for this place when I come back to Lexington. I wish I would have had more time to driven out to Midway for a proper breakfast at Wallace Station.
(3)Matt F.
We went here two days in a row for breakfast while we were visiting the area for a trip to the race track. The tex-mex style breakfast dishes were nice change of pace, with loads of flavor. They also have well prepared breakfast style mixed drinks.
(5)Zeenat S.
My friend took me here when I visited Lexington. At the time I was craving some French toast so I decided to get the stuffed french toast and their coffee of the day. Everything tasted amazing. I never finish my meal and usually save half. But this was so good that I finished every bite. There were blueberries and sweetened cream cheese inside with some strawberries. The service was decent but our waitress was sort of weird but nice. It wasn't a long wait either. Anyone coming through Lexington needs to try this place!
(5)William G E.
Sat. 2/22/14 first visit. Nice visit, restaurant is laid out nice. Staff friendly and know menu. Food is very good with many selections. Wait for food not long. Should do extremely well Where they are at. Two suggestions, complementary coffee location not good spot. On narrow shelf and too many people and Kids around. Can see accident coming. Waffle was good and tasty just little too done. Makes waffle little harder than should be. Shorten up cook time these are not criticisms from me as did like and will be back. Just couple helpful hints. Expect a wait. Good things worth waiting for! Another good new Lex. Eatery.
(4)Brandee B.
I liked this place, although I hear that it can get pretty busy. We were lucky enough to get in and be seated quickly, Unfortunately, my friend was picking about the seating arrangements but they made due and we soon sat down and ate. It has a pretty eclectic menu but I like when a restaurant can shake it up. It makes you taste buds not be bored. i had an omelet, which is my fave and it was pretty good with lots of cheese. I have to say that the ambience was nice too.
(4)Lauren C.
First of all, great service! We love coming here when we are in Lexington. My favorite is the breakfast burrito, because... Who can resist queso for breakfast? Not me, that is for sure! The everything muffins are also uniquely amazing. Just beware of long waits on the weekend :)
(5)David M.
Very good food, the service was decent. Worth the money! Was in a hurry before a flight and the gals up front knew I was in a hurry and they accommodated me. Had a breakfast sandwich. It was so good I went back a few days later, ate the breakfast burrito. One word ... Awesome. The service was friendly and not super expensive. If you want a cheap breakfast go somewhere else, just know your missing out
(4)Abbey A.
I am so happy with the service I received today here that I wanted to update my post. My friends and I were supposed to have brunch here before spending the day wedding dress shopping. I was unable to get off of work and was so sad about missing this, but I called ahead and asked if they could accommodate me ordering a round of drinks for my friends. The manager told me he would do a pitcher because it would be cheaper on me and provide them a little extra! I loved that he wanted to go out of his way to help. It was so very much appreciated. I will remember this and always recommend others to Wild Eggs.
(5)Pete T.
I've been wanting for us to go here for several months and finally made it this afternoon. The restaurant wasn't too busy like I was expecting to see based on reviews... lucky us! Service overall was courteous, but slow. Decor was nice and bright. I asked for the "Big Stack" pancakes and coffee. My wife initially wanted the "Jimmy the Greek Frittata"... but after asking the server for vegetarian recommendations, picked a well done "Surfer Girl omelet" over her first choice and his second recommendation "Farmers Market Skillet". I liked my pancakes alright. Wife loved her omelet with skillet potatoes... couldn't stop praising it. I thought I heard her say at one point that this has to be our new Saturday morning thing; now that's precious!! Would definitely go back there; with friends!!
(5)Jacob S.
I've been here three times and every time they do something I love and something I hate First time I got the eggs benedict and received sour hollandaise that had been made fresh that morning apperntly. Got a waffle instead and it was fine Second time my omelet was good, my mom didn't like her meal and she got something else. I did try their coffee of the day and liked it a lot. Third time I went with my girlfriend and got the apple crepes and was treated to 3 delicious but very very small crepes that were covered in a pile of whip cream that had more plate coverage than the crepes My girlfriend got the breakfest burrito and I gotta say I loved it and ended up finishing her plate off. Never seen the same waiters there though and the service always seems a little chaotic and disorganized I feel a company as small as wild eggs could stream line their service to better the guest experience I do like it but I think the company needs to grow and improve to make sure every experience is great every time
(3)Glen F.
Amazing food. Great southern service. Amazing bloody marys. I was here yesterday, today, and I forsee myself being here tomorrow.
(5)R J.
Back for more again the next day. Walked right 8am no wait no crowd on Sun. Delicious stuffed French toast with a nice pleasantly tang to it's cream cheese. A recommended dish by me. I'm a fan and will certainly visit Wild Eggs over and over the next time this cool city of Lexington with polite people and horrible reckless drivers.
(5)Judy B.
We had pumpkin pancakes drizzled with caramel syrup and whipped cream, Lox with eggs Benedict with mini bagel, eggs burritos, steak, and so much more! Outstanding food, coffee perfecto, and great service! It was a delightful meal with my family. We could not decide on what to get, so we were all sharing. Absolutely sinfully delightful, worth every calorie!
(5)Elaine D.
First time at Wild Eggs this morning. Had long heard of it in Louisville. Big Saturday morning crowd, but waited only about 15 minutes. You can self-seat at the counter. Decided on the Creole omlette, filled with shrimp, cajun sausage and other goodies, with Weisenberger (of course) grits. Lots of unique egg-stravagant breakfast dishes. Managed to get through half of this 4 egg creation, and took the rest home, along with the "everything" muffin. Excellent, friendly service. Manager on site chatting with patients.
(4)Amelia W.
My mother-in-law and I go to lunch every couple of weeks. We are always looking for new places. She had heard it was very good. We were not disappointed. I had a really hard time deciding what to order. There really was something for any taste bud. I decided on the Mexico City Maria's Chilaquiles and my mother-in-law got the Breakfast Nachos. The presentation of the food was beautiful and tasted great. The service was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone who likes variety in their choices. The next time back I want to try the crepes, or maybe an omelet. Both looked amazing.
(4)Tim W.
2/28/14. Only open since February 17th and a short wait this Friday morning at 9:58 am. I have visited their Louisville locations often. Glad to see they are here in Lexington at Palomar Center. Very large portions; don't be shy about asking to share.
(5)Sabrina G.
Second time visiting Wild Eggs. Food is great. Staff is hit or miss. Meaning we had there server that just says "are you ready to order?" Table next to ours had an excellent server that explained the menu, described entrees, suggested favorites. On the other side of us server did a full intro but was not as detailed as the server that really SOLD the food. Food both times has been great. Orange juice was bitter and smelled like is was about to turn bad. Stuffed French Toast is my favorite so far. The air conditioner could definitely stand to be cranked back. It was only 74 outside. I wore my Columbia jacket and had on pants and full toe shoes ( so no summer attire). I had to zip my jacket up to the top and keep my arms intertwined inside the sleeves of my jacket. It was so cold my second piece of bacon was like eating bacon outta the fridge.
(3)Tracy W.
Another great Yelp referral. We really enjoyed our breakfast and defintely would come back. Food and service were very good. We even brought back the leftovers to consume later ;) Highly recommend pancakes drizzled with fresh lemon curd and rasberry syrup.
(4)Kimberly B.
Great food. Little secret if the regular omelette is to big order the half. It's awesome. I also didn't know that egg whites can be so yummy. Few drawbacks. The tea service isn't very good. The water isn't hot enough and the tea bags they use taste like paper. The glassware sometimes isn't as clean as it should be. Finally, the scrambled eggs are hard sometimes. Luckily the servers and the managers are quick to fix the issues. My go to place for breakfast there twice this week alone.
(4)Melissa L.
Delicious breakfast! Stopped in here before leaving for the airport and the service was fast and friendly. The food was so good! My nephew has the sour dough French toast and it was probably some of the best I have ever had. I had some scrambled eggs with wild mushrooms and truffle oil and it was savory and delicious. And just because we heard the their homemade potato chips were awesome we had a side of them too! We will definitely be stopping here again on our next visit to Lexington. Melissa
(4)Betty H.
Great breakfast and brunch option in Lexington. I've visited two weekends in a row. The veggie eggs benedict had perfectly poached eggs with a nice creamy lemon hollandaise sauce. The stuffed french toast and pancakes were decent but they were a little too dense for my liking. Best thing there was the grits of the day (sausage with green chile verde). The service was friendly and pretty quick once you ordered. There is no wait if you seat yourself at the breakfast bar.
(4)Michelle R.
I wish 4.5 was an option but I'll go with 4 just because it was a bit pricey. 45 min wait so plan ahead (or grab one if the counter seats that are 1st come 1st served). This was their 1st weekend so I expected a crowd though. They have grits of the day and today's were tomato cheddar bacon and they were very good! I am looking forward to trying other flavor combos in the near future. I had the surfer girl omelet made with egg whites and subbed goat cheese for cream cheese. It was very good but between the grits and omelet I didn't have any room left for the Everything Muffin so I had to take it home for later. My dining partner had the wild mushroom goat cheese egg dish. He thought the goat cheese was a bit too overpowering in it (although he polished off) and probably would try something else next time. Coke products are served here which is always a plus for me as I'm a Diet Coke fan. Happy to have another breakfast/brunch place in Lex.
(4)Sandy H.
This place is worth the wait. The best Belgium waffle I have ever had. Bacon was thick and perfectly cooked. Great service.
(5)Eric D.
The food is great, but the service is just "ok." I have ate at the locations in Louisville, at the service is pretty much the same. It is really really busy since the lexington location just opened up. Hopefully the service will get better.
(4)S E.
love this place, lexington could definitely use another one though! I've had breakfast/brunch at wild eggs at least a dozen times since they've opened and there is always a wait (well worth it though) ! even during the week! it's a little ridiculous at times, especially on the weekend, but id definitely rather eat here than Bob Evans or crackle barrel. From the granola waffle to the omelette to the amazing everything muffin paired with their amazing house coffee I simply can't resist! I wish I could get a punch card to this place.
(4)Tom B.
If you have a large party, do not venture in to this restaurant. We had a party of eight but lots of parties of 4 and 6 got seated before us. We waited 1 hour for a table and another 20 minutes for our food. I will go somewhere else the next time our family is visiting. Oh and this was on a Monday at 10AM.
(2)Rick W.
I love breakfast and Wild Eggs is in my top 3 (possibly top 2) breakfast places of all times. Unfortunately we were only in Lexington for a short stay so I could only eat there twice. Even the basics like oatmeal not only have a beautiful presentation but are delicious as well. We had the grits of the day both days and they were fabulous!! If you like French toast - get the stuffed!! Amazing!! I am sad because I don't live anywhere near Lexington and may never get back to Wild Eggs. But I have my memories...
(5)Mark T.
Great food, great atmosphere. Be prepared to wait but it's worth it. I had the breakfast burrito, grits of the day, and a pancake. All were excellent.
(5)Sarah E.
Even though there's always a wait, its well worth it!! The staff is super friendly and everything on the menu is delicious. The stuffed french toast is filled with a cream cheese filling and berries it is out of this world. Also tried the surfer girl omlette cant go wrong there.
(5)Michael H.
Amazing service start 2 finish! Janie recommended a half order of the kalamity Katie border Benedict with the grits of the day. I added a side of bacon. She followed that with a slice of French toast (delayed perfectly) that showed up right on time (hot & delicious). Best breakfast ever!
(5)Neha G.
Amazing bananas foster waffles! Menu has lots of promising options. I knew that this place was only a couple months old, so I wasn't sure if we'd run into a wait or not. We went Sunday morning around 8 am, right after the hubs got off of work. No wait, but there were a decent amount of tables filled. By the time we left around 9ish, there were several parties waiting for a table. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and brought us our coffee and water right away. I was feeling a little lush-like, so I tried to order a mimosa, but they apparently have a rule and don't serve any alcohol until 11. Oh well, just means I'll have to come back for brunch rather than breakfast! Their menu has a ton of options without being overwhelming. One sign of a good restaurant (at least for me) is that there are multiple things on the menu that you want to try. My husband ordered the bananas foster waffle, and I got the Frito Bendito Fritatta, with the idea that we'd share. Perfect! The waffle was sweet and rich, and the frittata was the perfect savory balance. Portions were just right, I left without feeling stuffed but definitely not hungry. I fully plan on coming back, and even if there is a wait I can safely say it'll be worth it. Don't wait too long to try this place!
(5)Logan G.
I was really hoping I would like this place seeing that everyone gave it rave reviews. Sadly my experience was less than stellar. Upon getting to the table the flatware was neatly arranged on the napkin yet appeared as if it was pulled straight from dirty dishwater and placed directly on the table. The eggs Bennie was a 1 star at best. The eggs were well done egg mcmuffin style, scant hollandaise, tough canadian bacon all topped off with brown parsley. Seriously, I should have sent it right back just by looking at it but I've been a waiter and didn't want to go that route on account I was with my girlfriend who knew pretty much everyone there. Which brings me to our waiter. Whoa braj, enough with mentioning the post breakfast tequila shots, how bourbon makes the best bloody mary and announcing our coffee pot was "cashed" when you finally decided to pick it up and check. Oh check, that's right. With the egg mcmuffin like benebrick in my stomach, we were forced to wait 20 min for this dude to bring the check which was only instagated by me flagging down the lackluster manager. The only redeeming moment was a bite of my girlfriend's kalamity Katie which was a super doctored up mexican version of eggs Benedict with corncakes, chorizo, cheese sauce, etc etc. (thus the extra star). Pretty tasty, but you've got to be able to nail the basic version first. Maybe just a one in a (how many awesome reviews on here?) but in the future will probably be headed back to Josie's.

Excellent from start to finish. Went in mid-afternoon during a 15-20 minute wait. The hostess let us know that if we didn't want to wait we could sit at the breakfast bar. Extremely glad that we did. The food was excellent but what made the meal was the service. Cassie took care of us and did a phenomenal job. As a restaurant manager I would be lucky to have her at my place. As hectic as it was she made sure that myself and every other guest around her was taken care of. I began the meal with a cafe gates ( gran marnier, tia maria, coffee& cream. It was so good I had to order a second. The menu looked great with many options to choose from. I finally settled on The Sweet Home Apple crepes. I also order the grits of the day "bacon & sausage" and a side of the skillet potatoes. It took a bit longer to get the food out but it was well worth the wait. I wouldn't expect any brand new restaurant to have everything running smoothly right from the start it takes time for people to learn how to work with each other. Not a simple job I can attest from experience. Really excited for the future of this place! I think I've found the spot to replace Doodles.
