LOVE. Cool decor. Cozy fire places. Cheap drinks. Hip music. Friendly bar tenders. Spacious seating. Plentiful street parking. Did I mention no cover? I can go on and on. Two keys has all the essentials for a fun night out in Lexington. Granted that I haven't been to many bars in Kentucky, but this one is definitely somewhere I would come again and again. I came here the day after New Years and it was completely deserted. I figured that many people would still be knocked out from NYE but I didn't expect downtown Lexington to be a ghost town. Essentially my friends and I had the entire place to ourselves and we still had a blast. There are often drink specials whenever there's a big game, so it would be perfect for game watching. I hear that it gets packed with UK students during the school year. I definitely will have to visit again to get the most authentic experience. Highly recommend!

The owner is a badass. The drinks are cheap. Stiff. And strong. The bartenders can be hot no matter your sexual preference and Sadie is an amazing bartender! Please come here and spend your entire paycheck.

I didn't get the chance to experience Two Keys for myself but my brother has on occasion and his last trip there (3/14/2015) ended with a hospital visit. I've read other reviews and this isn't unusual for Two Keys. There were cops present during the fight between my brother (his friends) and six larger, unknown individuals. No-one did anything to help. I thought twice about reviewing this establishment BUT it is evident that this place is dangerous to anyone who isn't aware of it's bad reputation. Any bar can be dangerous. People drink and do stupid things BUT a responsible establishment will take the proper precautions to protect ALL their patrons.

Worst experience ever in Lexington!!!! Never go to this shit hole ever again. Rude bouncers think they can do whatever they want, totally out of control. push beat whoever they want. If you wanna have some fun it is not the place to go.

Typical college bar. I'm not a fun but...Best part is you can order pizza from goodfellas!
(2)Chance S.
Overpriced drinks except on Thursdays when you can get 10 well bourbons for 10$ Id personally rather stay home and drink my cheap bourbon than be caught dead in this shithole...I do like the goodfellas though...hence the three stars

Went here on a Saturday night between hours of 11-midnight. It definitely is a fun college town bar/tavern. I had a great time here for my short stay. Will come back next time in in Lexington.

Best Sunday Funday. Sadie is a smoke show. The only thing stiffer than the drinks is Ricker.

Since the bar has gone under NEW ownership many things have changed. The pricing is modest, the drinks are plentiful, and it is absolutely packed on many Friday and Saturday nights with the 21 and up UK crowd. Live bands and big screen TV's are also part of the experience. Parking can be a big hassle.

Two of my friends and I were staying In Lexington for one night and decided to spend it by checking out Two Keys for a bit of a Sunday funday (which extended into closing time). We had such a blast! I couldn't believe how packed it got on a Sunday night during the summer, when regular semester classes aren't in session at UK. The bartender was great and extremely friendly. The drinks were also super cheap! This may be because we're from Chicago but we could not get over how little we spent that night. Also, great music and the dance floor was full of people. Which is a great thing in my book! The best part? That they sell pizza there so you don't have to wander off somewhere else for your drunk munchie fix. I managed to snag a pepperoni and jalapeno pizza - yum.

If you are an undergraduate, a member of a fraternity or sorority, looking for a hookup, or any combination of the aforementioned, Two Keys may be for you. The most popular night at Two Keys is Thursday, undoubtedly for its $10 Thirsty Thursday all-you-can-drink special, a godsend for blackout drunks. That said, the drinks are all pretty distasteful, save for the beer. The noise level is also quite high, considering the drunken mob of frat guys trying to impress all the squealing sorority girls. Two Keys gets very crowded on Thursday nights, but empties out substantially on other nights, including the weekend. I've gone to Two Keys a few times, but each time mostly because the group decided upon it. Don't get me wrong, though; there's a lot of fun to be had at Two Keys, but on Thursday nights be prepared for ringing eardrums, a mostly intoxicated crowd, and impatient bouncers.

Great place to watch the UK game or to go get blackout on a Thursday. A $10 all you can drink night on Thursdays makes Two Keys the place to be for the 21-28 crowd. The downside is that you feel obligated to drink as much as humanly possible because you spent ten to get in and it's all you can drink. Also, don't plan on getting through the bouncers with a crappy fake. In fact, even if you have a great fake, you still have a slim chance at getting in this place....there is one great big black guy that is also licensed to carry a weapon and does (may also be a sheriff deputy), and he has seen them all. Does not matter what state it is, he has seen hundreds of crappy id's just like yours. Expect to leave pissed when your fake gets taken and you have to walk home, ya noob. If you do happen to get in, expect to have a great time though, especially in the warmer months as the outdoor bar is always packed and live.

Nobody has yet to review this beautiful dump yet? Well, here I go. Dirty, dark, pool tables, drunkenness, undergrads, cheap beer. What else could you ask for?!
