I was in town for a conference at UK and I spent a lovely two nights in the Belle Breezing room. This was without doubt, one of the best B&B bedrooms I've ever stayed in -- spacious, lovely natural light, warm carpeting, an absurdly comfortable bed, and cozy furnishings. It was quiet and I slept incredibly well after a full 18 hours of travel. Anton was incredibly friendly (and talkative if that's your thing). The location is great and walkable to West Sixth Brewing where I enjoyed a couple of decent local brews, fish and chips, and beer slaw. It's also just a short few minute drive to the UK campus area and downtown. A few reasons why I'm hesitant to provide a 5 star review: I had a rather late arrival and wasn't able to talk to the owner about breakfast time -- served from 8-10 and I was up and about by 6:30, ready to procure some hot water and a mug for the coffee I had brought and hopefully, grab a quick bite to eat before my long morning. We eventually managed to get the coffee going but I was wandering around the kitchen feeling awkward looking for a way to boil some water and had to rush out without any food. Second, the bathroom was a bit small and awkward -- somehow a half used bottle of Jergens lotion and other random half used toiletries made me feel a bit like I was crashing in a stranger's apartment rather than the beautiful house that it was. Lastly, the parking lot in back was sufficient enough but small and the spaces tight for a SUV. I wondered what it would be like if the house was full and crowded. Small complaints aside, highly recommended (especially at the pre-high season price I received) and I will certainly stay there again if I'm passing through Lexington.

We were excited to book a room in the Lyndon House for the holidays, which are 5 months away. A couple weeks after booking the room we found out that more of our family would be joining us and we determined that we would need an apartment. We called the first week of August to cancel and left a message. A short time later I got an email stating that I was being charged $25 and that this was standard policy. This policy is not stated anywhere on the reservation form. They do have a clause about their cancellation policy on "special dates" and I called and spoke to someone prior to making the reservation to ask if Christmas is considered a "special date" and was told it was not. I was never told that any cancelation would result in a $25 charge. There is no way an August cancellation of a December reservation has any impact on the hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lyndon House during our Trip to Lexington and we have amazing experience. The building itself is gorgeous. Restored gorgeously and taken care of quite well. We stayed in the bluegrass suite and I couldn't have asked for a better room. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious. He starts off offering fruit, biscuits, pastries, coffee, and juice. You then have an option of eggs, meat, or french toast, and then a daily special. We had the special both days, a play on eggs benedict one day and cinnamon pancakes the next. Location is great as well. We would both highly recommend Lyndon house and would stay there again if we go back.

AMAZING SPECTACULAR BEST TRAVEL EXPERIENCE EVER I have never been happier or more ecstatic to write the first review of a place. Anton, the inn keeper here, is fantastic, and so incredibly accommodating. The slogan here of having southern hospitality at its finest is definitely true. My boyfriend and I have never felt more warmly welcome. There is parking here, leading to the backyard and steps up to this almost magical old victorian style house, completely made of brick. There are only a few rooms in this bed and breakfast, but each one is named after something famous in Lexington--Shaker Suite (our room) named after the Shaker Village, and the Keeneland Room named after the famous racetrack there for examples. The whole B&B is gorgeous inside. Everything is clean and neat and just makes you feel at home, especially in comparison to any hotel you may have stayed in. Anton escorts you to your room, and there is a TV and cable and DVD player in each room and your own bathroom, and he even is nice enough to have a selection of DVDs for you to borrow. The rooms are nice in size, and there is free wireless, and free snacks and drinks throughout the day. The bedrooms have enough closet and drawer space too for your clothes, and good sized bathrooms, and everything everywhere is decorated nicely, all with the old Victorian feel. Classic, just classic. We stayed here for Valentine's day so there was a room special complete with roses a gift certificate for dinner and a bottle of champagne, and breakfast in bed!! It was perfect. Everything about it. Anton is a great chef and we stayed here two nights and each day that breakfast he made was the best start to our day complete with blueberry pancakes, bacon, biscuits, fruit, coffee, tea, orange juice, hash browns, eggs, pastries......wow, just wow. It is a social place as well, and everyone else who stayed here (they were there for a family reunion) and they were all very nice and talkative, and that is how a bed and breakfast should be. I could not have stayed in a better location--near downtown, within walking distance to plenty of places...And with the best inn keeper ever. He even was nice enough to drive us to the airport at the end of our visit!!! Honestly, staying at this bed and breakfast was the highlight of my trip to lexington, and if I ever go back and if any of you go to visit, this should be your number one destination. THANKS, ANTON!!!!

I was a bit hesitant at first about the Lyndon House. I had to drive through a pretty shady neighborhood to get to the property, however once I arrived I was pleasantly surprised! The B&B is located a short walk from downtown Lexington, and is close to both the convention center and the university. Had the weather not been so cold while I was there I really would have ventured out to see the area. All that being said, my stay was fantastic. Anton made my entire family (all 17 of us!) feel incredibly welcome, and the house itself is not only beautiful, but spacious. I stayed in the only room on the third floor, which left me with alot of privacy - which was nice from time to time after being around all that family! There are seven rooms total and a variety of areas downstairs, including a really cute sun room - so there's plenty of places to lounge. Breakfast each morning was served on our schedule, which was nice because most of us are not early risers - and there was plenty of choices, and lots of hot tea (which was important to me because I came down with a cold while I was there). I would definitely try the Lyndon House again, in warmer temperatures so that I could really sightsee in and around Lexington.
