We were in Lexington working a comic book convention. These cons are a lot of work with long hours and a lot of physical activity. Smashburger had the perfect meal to end a day of needing to replenish calories. The rosemary olive oil fries are unlike any other, and the truffle swiss burger is exquisite. One of the best things about this restaurant is that it works with the LexEatIn local food delivery website. They were always quick to deliver our food and had no trouble finding our hotel!

Got the avocado chicken. They were quick and friendly. They Even went the extra mile to redo my sexy boyfriends sandwich since it was so salty. I like the outdoor patio area. Free parking section for patrons. Don't park on the street and pay.

Had the bluegrass burger I love burgers, but this burger tasted like just salt. Staff was nice. As I was writing this review, two stars, the staff asked how it was.... I told them. They are making me another burger. Kudos to the staff, my burger is really good

Pretty good. Usually I don't go there unless I have a coupon but it's a great deal with a coupon. The taste and quality are good but a little pricy for a burger and fries.

I got out of the habit of going to Smashburger because well, how often do you and everyone else in your party really want a burger AND have the time for fast-casual? After attending a Yelp event at the N-ville road location and tasting several menu items I now know they have really outstanding chicken and salad options. I also found out they just started doing online ordering. That means that even though they don't have a drive thru, I can have a great quality burger at nearly fast food speed. I'll return to visiting more frequently and be happy to have a high quality alternative when I'm in a rush.

The fries are so good!!!!! I would return just for fries. Burger was ok and atmosphere is typical fast food dining.

Three and (almost) a half stars. One of these places that probably only exists because of the college crowd, Smashburger is a quickfood (not fastfood, but not quite sit down either) joint that knows how to make a burger. They make their burgers from real angus beef, so they are tasty. They have the common sides, like french fries and sweet potato fries, as well as some more exotic sides, like fried vegetables and fried pickles. They also sell chicken, hot dogs and veggie burgers for those that don't eat burgers. I ordered the Bluegrass Burger (large), fries and a drink. I payed about $11. The good. It tasted really good. The burger was cooked well, and the flavors of it all coalesced into mouthwatering goodness on a good bun. The fries were about par. A friend let me have a fried green bean, which was a little weird, but interesting for an appetizer. The "bad". In my opinion, they are almost a four star place except for the amount of salt they used in my meal. Goodness, it was salty. The fries had a neat layering of salt, which I considered to be just about right. The Bluegrass Burger has bacon and a special BBQ sauce on it, which is a bit too salty in its own right. Mix the two, and your sodium intake is enough for a couple days. Holy NaCl... The "expensive". My meal was about $11. I just got a drink, fries and the burger. Granted, they were the large sizes, but it's a little bit pricey in my opinion. Good thing everything tasted so good. Five out of six of us got our food fast, but one guy in my party got his food fifteen minutes after everyone else. Oops.

Everything always tastes great! The service is quick and the staff are very nice! All the burgers taste great. The smash fries are unique, but good. The haystack onions are delicious. Their milkshakes are also very good. Prices are decent. The store is usually very clean.

Good food! Their classic burgers, French fries, and fried pickles are the best! So, if you go there, be sure to try one of these!

This place is great. The burgers dress as you want and fries well are one of the kind you just have to try. Olive oil and seasonings make this a great joint. I'm a fan!

I got the spicy baja burger (lettuce, tomato, jalapeño, onion, guacamole, and chipotle mayonnaise) and regular fries, and it was great! Fries were hot and crispy with just the right amount of salt, the burger was cooked well with fresh ingredients. Yum!

I've never been here, so bf and I decided to try it out. I got the classic and he got the baja smash. Both of us loved our burger! He got a shake and I got a rootbeer float both of which were good but a tad over priced. Needless to say, we will be back.

Hot juicy burgers, rich creamy shakes, savory haystack onions with football games on large screen TVs. It's the place to be for local college kids and parents alike. Food is generous in portion and served warm. Have not been disappointed here yet.

Recently my husband and I visited Smashburger for the first time. He had a burger and onion straws which he said were exceptional. I had the BBQ Chicken Ranch sandwich. It was fabulous. Highly recommend Smashburger and will return.

Always go with the create your own Smash Burger. I always get mine on the egg bun with cheddar cheese, pickles, Wild Turkey bourbon BBQ sauce, and haystack onions. Sooooooo good!

So I've been going to smashburger for probably 1-2x a month since they opened and its still the best burger joint in Lexington by a good margin. I used to be a fan of five guys but I've had a gift card to them since Christmas and literally haven't used it yet, when I'm in the mood for a gourmet burger I'm heading to smashburger. That said, I'm not a fan of their fries, I really prefer regular to thick sliced fries, I miss that from five guys but the burgers themselves more than make up for the difference. I typically just get the classic smashburger which is a basic burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion and their "smash sauce" which I think is a mayo/mustard mix, but I personally hate mayo on most things but I still really like the smashburgers. I visited the "shake shack" in NYC a few weeks ago on a trip because I'd heard they where the best burger in all of NYC and I've got to say, they where pretty spectacular but not a whole heck of a lot better than good old smashburger. Finally their outdoor seating is pretty nice during the summer evenings, pretty busy street nearby so theres always something to watch and its better than setting inside because like most restaurants these days they keep it pretty cool inside. Definitely my favorite burger joint in Lex.

Had a 1/3 lb. Classic, which was awesome, as were the Smashfries! Their fried pickles could've been a little crisper and definitely need more seasoning...or mebbe just a good buttermilk soak.

Been there once. Not as much food as you get at Five Guys, but the food was good. Everything had a good taste. However, me, the wife, and the two kids cost roughly $35. Bit high for a burger joint.

A really good burger and for a chain they are making some acknowledgment of the region with a bourbon sauce and Ale8 etc. They also serve salads in china bowls ,not plastic, and for me a real plate and silverware is a plus and shows an intent to step up from average. A bit pricey but if you are hungry enough and willing to wait in line you will not be disappointed. If the line is too long and you feel the need to bail out and have the Cajun next door, don't. Have a sub or go back two spaces to Tolly Ho.

Recently I had one of the best burgers I've ever eaten at the new Smashburger in Lexington. It's a busy place and understandably so. The quality of the food was exceptional. It's a bit pricey (around 8 or 9 dollars for burger and side), but it's definitely worth it for an occasional high quality burger.

By far the best burger I've ever had & I was pleasantly surprised w/ the quality of the sides, salads & tasty milkshakes! The salad was as good as any in a fancy restaurant. I highly recommend checking this place out,

Usually I'm not a burger fan but I like to venture out every now and then. Everytime I've tried SB I've not had a complaint. I recommend the bean burger which was excellent. Very friendly staff and fresh food and I love the self serve soda fountain machine. This is my kind of fast food. Also, they offer promotions via text messages so make sure you sign up. Usually they send out weekly and are buy one get one free offers.

First visit and really enjoyed the burgers. Service was good too - a few steps above your usual fast food burger joints. I had the spicy baja burger and liked the chipotle bun. It was very messy though since the sauce and guacamole dripped out. Don't normally like French fries very much but I loved these - nice to see fries seasoned with something besides just salt. Would love to try the veggie fries. Thought it was expensive though - $17 for 2 burgers, 1 order of fries and a drink.

The managers are very excited about their food and serving the customers, which is nice, but it was over the top. They make it a point to come to your table several times to talk about the food. It became awkward because I really wasn't thrilled with excitement over a fried chicken sandwich and fries. The cuisine at Smashburger is not exactly a culinary art, ya know? Speaking of the fries. I wasn't even going to get any but they acted like they were French fries like none other so I ordered them. The fries are seasoned with rosemary which is a nice touch but the olive oil made them soggy and I like mine to be crispy. They were the shortest string fries possible. Most were less than an inch long. The manager repeatedly told me that they bread the chicken breast in-house so they must be very proud of that. Another manager said they are trying to compare to chick-fil-a. I say that they have a long way to go for that. About $10.50 for a sandwich, fries, and drink.

There is a reason why I am writing my first review now... if you are ever in Lexington, this is a must... the food was amazing, as was the staff. Here is how I would rate the aspects of my dining experience: Service:5, smiles and jokes were told by all of the employees Food:4.5 Burgers fries and shakes were all great, and that is all that I would order, but my friend said his chicken sandwich was just ok. Atmosphere: 4 Not many people there, but place looked very cool and stuck to the theme well Overall: 5
