I liked it. Classy scene & a bit of an older crowd. I only had one drink & left only since we wanted to explore other bars down there. Not from lexington so I was on an adventure :) I was slightly disappointed there wasn't an outside chill zone aka patio to sit out & enjoy the view and dinner night air. They should really have one. I can see though where they wouldn't have the space. But yea I thought this place was upbeat & good nightclub vibe!

Skybar can be hit or miss. Once, we hit & it was awesome. Great crowd, cool people, decent music, & the staff was on point with the drinks. That other time there were around 7 people there and the music was somebody's ipod i think. On the bright side, though, there wasn't a cover charge for ladies so my crew & I headed down the road to one of the other bars within walking distance. You've been warned.

Don't be fooled by the "private looking rooms." I have never seen them reserved. You can usually walk right in, have your own tv, waitress, comfortable couches, and room. Beer specials are great deals too.

It's been quite sometime since I've been here and I don't think I'll go back. Yes it's a classy, ritzy type of place. I was invited to a group event in one of the party rooms. The view, looking down on downtown Lexington was spectacular. The drinks and appetizers were overpriced. The sushi was memorable though. Who would've thought that? Honestly, it would've been a great experience had it not have been the rude bar tender. I mean if you don't have patience to work with or to properly wait on drunk people, go to a deli to work. I usually don't rate a place mainly on one person, but it was that bad.

A magical place that offers a unique experience. A great outing is always guaranteed. Many friends have agreed. Would definitely recommend.

Don't ever give these people your credit card. They will steal from your account. They Stole $470.00 out of my account and another $ 280.00 from my friend. I will never go there again and everyone should know what happened.

The bar comes off as pretentious, but it is a fun atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Went there last night for a small bite to eat and some wine. We were not sure if the tables were first come/ first served or not. I walked up to the bar to ask the bar tender, and she did her best job of ignoring me for 5 minutes (!) She looked me in the eye twice and said nothing to me. I finally shouted to her, "May I ask you a question?" She grunted that we could take a table, despite it saying "Reserved" on it. Once we sat, we were then ignored again(!) for 10-12 minutes. Servers looked at us, but nobody came over to take our order. As we got up to leave, nobody said a word to us. We walked out and that was that. My wife and I were dressed nicer than most of the folks there. So it wasn't that. I guess they have so much business they don't need ours....

Three martinis + one amaretto sour + two diet cokes + one lemonade = $28, at what is most likely the fanciest bar in town. Gawd, I love Kentucky!! Minus one star for the decor. I realize you are in horse country and all, but try to be a little unique/ original and do not put up paintings of horses and jockeys on your walls. Every other place in town has the same themed art work. You can do better, ok? The music is kinda tired and played out club music, but people seemed to have a good time dancing. This place would never fly in a city, but it fits perfectly in a small town like Lexington. I would probably give it two stars in a city, but geography works in their favor giving them 4 stars. I still can't get over the cheap bill.

I really got a kick out of the bouncer on the first floor, the ride in the elevator, the coat check, the reserved tables and the sparkling lights on the ceiling. Some people might be turned off by this but I was entertained. It was a new experience for me since I usually frequent neighborhood/dive bars. The prices were reasonable for the atmosphere. $12 for my Jameson and soda and my husband's Beam and coke. The DJ played an interesting mix of new and old - think Rhianna over Salt and Pepa. I think it would be a blast to reserve one of the private rooms for a birthday but we were just visiting for the weekend. Also, I'm not sure if a different night or a different crowd might have made this a four star review. Regardless, I would go again even if you do have to reserve a table if you want to sit down. But I'm almost always on the dance floor anyway.

My husband and I enjoy this classy little spot. It's fun to sit at the bar and people watch. Often times there are bachelorette parties and leftover happy hour folks dancing the night away. The martinis are not cheap but worth every penny. The staff is pretty hot and friendly. For a downtown dweller, this place is a breath of fresh air. Get there before 11pm to find a place to sit or even stand because it can get pretty claustrophobic.

This is one of my new favorite places in Lexington, it's a bit pricey but it's worth it you get away from the normal Lexington bar scene. It's on the top floor of a downtown building and has a great selection of drink all the top shelf stuff and a lot of stuff you would not find at most Lexington bars. They have private rooms for parties and a very friendly and well informed bartender. Pro - They have van winkle - They have a piano and a guy who plays it - Nice lounge atmosphere Cons - Most of the drinks are priced really high, but these are things you will not find at most other bars - Most people at this bar will be at least 35 years old

Lacks class -- trashiest dining experience ever!! Made reservations a few weeks in advance for a dinner celebration. Called two days in advance and received confirmation the day before. No one greeted us when we arrived. Had to flag down staff to get seated. They proceeded to take us to a room filled with balloons, cookies, and cupcakes. It was lovely and very appropriate for the occassion. We asked who had decorated and brought the sweets and were told they were from our server. Ten minutes later we were told we had been seated in the wrong room. We were moved to a different party room and while it was embarrassing to be shuffled through the bar and there were no longer ballooons or cupcakes to honor our celebration, the new room was comfortable nonetheless. The server arrived, presumably to apologize, take our drink order and get us back on the right foot. Instead, it went from bad to worse. We were again informed that we were taken to the wrong room. At this point we were in disbelief as they asked us to move to the main bar area which would soon become very crowded area surrounded with sloppy couples standing over our chairs while making out. It was clear at that point there were no efforts made to reserve us a space where we could celebrate and enjoy a pleasant dinner. Compounding all of these issues was the disparate efforts for the other group (cupcakes and cookies room was celebrating the same type of occasion). Never saw anyone that resembled a manager. No one ever stopped by our table to apologize about this ridiculous faux pas. Service was equally as poor. When we ordered our appetizers our server was not even sure whether the kitchen was open although we made it clear we were coming for dinner when making our reservations. An hour after arriving we finally got appetizers on the table but had to wait another ten minutes for silverware. Half of our drinks were served in plastic cups while the other half were in appropriate glassware. Many of those drinks ended up being spilled by the server when she attempted to sit them down. The whole experience was so awkwared we left that wretched place still hungry. A shameless poor experience on a night intended to honor a dear friend. This place seemed like a hookup bar well suited for anyone experiencing a mid-life crisis or for those that enjoy loud, overplayed pop music. It is nothing like the website claims and was a poor representation of what Lexington has to offer. If you want service and a pleasent dining experience GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Not worth wasting your time on this classless joke.

Snazzy, clean and to the point. Frills, but not too many. Extremely overpriced wines but.... It overlooks downtown Lexington and has private rooms with leather couches... It is what it is. If you wanna play here on a budget, drink bud light and dress nice. It's possible. Pretty chill and live music happens sometimes.

Nice little niche in downtown Lexington. Friendly staff and nicely decorated. Music was o.k., but no live band on Friday. Seating could have been more ample and the idea of a reserved area for a group--that was completely empty while patrons struggled to find places to chat and order drinks seemed ludicrous. Perhaps it will expand to accommodate their patrons. Couldn't even try a drink--so crowded. The crowd appeared to be perhaps in the late 20's to 30's so we strolled down Main to find a more suitable accommodation.
