Friendly service. Very knowledgable about the menu. This was my first visit. I had a steak sandwich and it was "Good". The cheese fries appetizer was also good but had a strong garlic taste if you're not a fan of garlic. Overall the restaurant was a good experience. Good food, reasonably priced, an option for family dining.

Very good food. Had roasted half chicken with green bean almandine and garlic mashed potatoes and chocolate fondue dessert. Server was Jordan and was extremely friendly and good. Great atmosphere and would come back again.

It is oka and nothing special. Price was okay. Nothing outstanding and have been there twice now. We had pizza and salad.

This is the second time I've been to this restaurant chain, first time at this location and both times, it has been phenomenal. I have nothing bad to say about the food, the beer, or the service. Chicken and waffles, tuna tacos, chocolate brew ice cream, Kentucky bourbon ale, chicken and shrimp gumbo, and fire roasted vegetables. Everything has been amazing.

This restaurant was possibly the best I have been to in a long time. Total cost for two people having a soda each, an appetizer each, an entree each and a dessert each was a mere $64. SAY WHAT! The serving sizes were fabulously huge as well. I can't imagine anyone leaving hungry. The taste of every dish was flawless and incandescent. We tried separate dishes to have a variety of flavors both to try and review and though nothing comes up short, I suggest the Cajun Chicken Penne, The Steak Blue Cheese Nachos, and The Chocolate Popcorn as a complete meal everyone must try. Our service was outstanding and wait time minimal for everything. The atmosphere was adult classy and well suited for a nice evening or romantic date or just a casual lunch. All of this being said, the thing that won us over had nothing to do with our food or our service at all... A couple near us mistakenly ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown Pizza thinking they were ordering the Kentucky Beloved Classic regular Kentucky Hot Brown. The mistake wasn't caught until their pizza was served at which time they promptly explained the confusion. The waiter removed the pizza and immediately explained the mistake to the kitchen. The waiter returned and explained that while a Kentucky Hot Brown itself isn't on the menu, the Chef says it was both possible and a pleasure to satisfy their request. When the dish arrived at their table, not only had they created a dish just for them, they made what looked like the best Kentucky Hot Brown I have ever seen piled as high as the sky. I wish I had a taste but I'll have to take overhearing the lady remark about it being delicious as gospel. No restaurant has to ultimately fix what wasn't their misunderstanding to begin with, but to do so and do it with that much class just goes to show Saul Good Restaurant & Pub is a must visit when dining in the area.

Food was ok but not worth the price. Service was awful. Waited for check for 15 minutes and ran out of drinks. Won't go back.

First time here. Was looking for a place to catch some of the football game. It was a bit cold and they didnt have sound on the football games they were showing. But they did have half off draft beers at the bar. Too bad there wasn't anyone in the bar. It always confuses me why establishments put in a bar with great taps of beer and nice televisions for watching baseball, golf, football, etc but dont allow the viewer to listen to the sound. Pictures only hold a person's attention for so long. We ended up leaving to find a place where we could hear the game. And ended up paying full price for beer.

Stopped by for lunch with my wife and 3 children. Food was excellent across the board and the staff were very courteous and professional. Creative and interesting menu. I had the rosemary chicken pizza, which was truly excellent. Crisp thin crust with just the right amount of chew and very flavorful toppings. Great selection of beer on tap.

I absolutely LOVE nachos. That said, the nachos at Saul Good's are the best I have come across. The generous serving size can easily feed four people. They are laced with tender meat, beer cheese, jalapenos, fresh crispy corn chips and other yummy items. My goodness, the taste was exquisite! The place was immaculate, the employees friendly and the draft beer super cold. The atmosphere was quiet and warm. If you are lucky to live close by, you should make this place a once a week stop. If you are passing through in your travels, you need to make Saul Good a must stop on your way to your destination.

brian rainer and myself went to saul goods today for lunch, this was our first experience at this establishment, the food was superb, and priced for the quality of the food. i started out with chocolate popcorn (yummy) then had the hawaiin burger with fries, then had the french onion soup and some of Brians dessert. i was so impressed with this establishment when a customer was not pleased with what they got, that they went out of there way to correct the situation and make the patrons happy, now that is a class, i would highly recommend this for you all to at least try once.

I had the chicken and waffles, and it was so, so, so good. The chicken was tender and juicy; the very plentiful syrup came on the side; the waffles were fresh and the perfect mix of crunchy and soft. It's a good thing I don't live in the area, or I would be going here every. Single. Day.

Really good food. Really cool atmosphere. Great wait staff. Good all around. We sat on the patio which was awesome. I had the nachos and would definitely recommend them! So yummy! Also tasted the chicken and waffles which were excellent. For dessert the table split the banana foster and the Nutella fudge cake. Both very good but I would go for the banana foster! Our waitress was great and very attentive. Highly recommend this if you are in town!

In Lexington on business and stopped in here since a co-worker recommended this restaurant. I had the Kentucky Hot Brown pizza. It was awesome. Nathan, the bartender, explained to me the history of the Hot Brown since I told him I'd never had turkey on a pizza before. He also conversed with me during my entire dinner and introduced me to a blonde ale named Cougar Bait made by local brewers Country Boy Brewing. It too was awesome. I definitely recommend this restaurant and particularly this location.

This place is awesome! I literally go here whenever I can and don't regret it ever! I always usually end up getting the tuna sandwich because its AMAZING but they have some awesome pizzas as well. You HAVE to save room for desert as well because they have some of the best desserts around town!! This is a great place to have a birthday celebration. One tip though, it does get really cold fast so you might want to bring a light jacket

This is my first visit here and I wasn't that impressed. I had the pork chop and my son had the chicken coa co Vin. Both looked good when brought to the table but both were bland and not very good. An $18 plate should have something on it that tasted good.

Not a fan of this place at all. I came here for the first time with my boyfriend about a year ago. We got lettuce wraps for an appetizer. We each found a strand of hair in our lettuce wraps. I caught the attention of a waiter who apologized and offered to bring us another appetizer instead. We declined and decided to just wait for our meals. The manager came out and apologized to us in the mean time, and told us that our dinner would be on the house because of the hair mishap. Sounded about right to me. I got the chicken and waffles. The waffles were drenched in syrup. I don't like a lot of syrup on my waffles, so this was really unappealing to me. If you're not a syrup person, ask for the syrup on the side. My boyfriend got a pork chop with sweet potato fries and we had no qualms about that. It was very good. Our waiter offered to bring us dessert to make up for the hairs in our appetizers. We went all out and got the banana split sundae. Much to our surprise, we got a bill with the lettuce wraps and all on it! The manager came and quickly fixed the issue. The hair in the lettuce wraps sort of turned me off this place.

Lots of really great menu options! Had a few bites of the Lettuce Wraps - good, but not all white meat. Also had some of the Southwestern Dip - yum! For dinner I had a side caesar - I didn't really eat much of since it came out with my entree which was the Cajun Chicken Pasta. It was really good other than for the fact that I ordered it without mushrooms... and it came out with mushrooms. They were big enough for me to push to the side though. Had a few bites of the Argentinean Steak Pizza, which I would of never thought would be good - I was wrong - It was awesome! Service was good considering it was a really busy night. Will def return next time I am in town.

Went here on a Saturday night, so it was pretty busy. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Our food actually got out to us pretty quickly and the food itself was pretty good. Nothing earth-shattering, but definitely nothing to complain about either. I ordered the Bourbon BBQ sandwich, which was pretty good, and my husband ordered some kind of burger. The fries that come with the burger are yummy and nicely seasoned. All in all, it was an okay experience. I'd definitely eat here again, but I might try some of the more Yelp-recommended food.

Being a fellow Saul I set the bar high on the totem pole of restaurants for "Saul Good". At first glance it has a classy vibe however, I quickly realized this vibe was a sugar coating to a mediocre establishment. The server awkwardly laughed after each comment as she lurked over our table like vulcure staring at a piece of meat. The decor was aesthetically pleasing, yet the music was incongruent with the enviorment considering their choice of "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard". It was unsettling to say the least. On the other side of the coin, the Saul Good Meat Pizza was phenomenal. I give it an A+ on taste and appearance. As a result I give this restaurant a 3 based on great food coated by lousy ambiance. Anywho SAUL GOOD....

I have tried every item on the Saul Good menu - literally. I certainly have my favorite menu items - the steak and beer cheese nachos, southwestern dip, argentinean steak pizza, Saul's big breakfast and the banana foster waffles would be my top picks. The service staff is friendly and on the ball, the decor unique, and the bar area has a couple TVs for watching the game, although music is always playing in the restaurant so you don't get TV audio. Overall, I went back again and again to try everything and the only disappointment that comes to mind is not ordering the chocolate beer float before it disappeared from the menu. The food is reasonably priced, but I recommend taking advantage of the daily half price deals from 3:00 to 7:00 and snow days when food is half price from 11:30 to 3:00.

Wow this place is awesome! Caught my attention because I'm a breaking bad fan and it reminded me of the character Saul goodman lol, anyway the food was phenomenal. My brother took me here because I'm visiting. We ordered the lettuce wraps, which weren't traditional, but still delicious with the sauce. And then we ordered beer cheese nachos which were amazing. Cesar salad had a bit too much dressing for me, but Kentucky hot brown pizza was so delicious. Definitely would visit again. Also great service.

We had the beer cheese nachos which was fantastic. Also had the bourbon BBQ pork sandwich which had a great flavor. Also tried a few local beers on tap. The service was great! And we finished with bananas foster and holy cow you should try that.

This was our last stop in Kentucky and it was amazing, I had a gluten free Kentucky Hot Brown Pizza that was to die for with a hard cider which was from a local brewery. We will definitely be back again when we re here!

The waffles dipped in white chocolate is amazing! And the strawberries too! This stuff calls my name. Sometimes I put it on hold and sometimes I greet it with open arms. We shared a Hot Brown Pizza and White Chocolate Fondue. Still lovin' the look of the place. The waitress did an excellent job. The food came out in a reasonable time. It's a little pricier than I would want but still really enjoyed it.

Delivered as room service to the hotel we were staying in. It was good. We were starving. I would have maybe been more impressed if they had not added 18% gratuity & a $3 delivery charge. I guess they get stiffed on tips a lot? The delivery guy kind of stood at the door waiting like I was going to tip him even more. I understand those over party of 6 issues but its delivery. Even the pizza people don't add 18% and we are good tippers. Anyway, the food was good, fast etc.

Had lunch here, as it was convenient and had good Yelp reviews. We got a tuna sandwich, hamburger, fries and Thai Salad. Each was "pretty good"; but, our experience was not so great. We'd return if in the area; but, we found other places we liked better.

We stopped here while driving from Illinois to North Carolina. Restaurant was clean and nice ambiance inside. Service was okay, but the food was better. Nice to find a non-chain style place to sit down during long road trips. I had the chopped Cobb salad. It had a nice housemade honey Dijon / ranch dressing, but could have used more lettuce. My husband had the bacon burger and loved it. The shoestring fries were the best!

Came here with my family during the holidays. Wasn't really sure what to expect. The interior is is dressed up like an ecclectic southern plantation: chandeliers, lots of woodwork, funky wall paper. The menu I felt was small, front and back of one page with a quarter of it being drinks. Limited vegetarian options: a vegie wrap and a portobello mushroom burger. I am not a vegetarian but I was hoping to eat a little healthier that evening. I am not a mushroom fan so I opted for the vegie wrap. The portobello mushroom burger was good according to my sister. And their other burgers were good according to my brothers. All the orders were large and filled everyone up, even the vegie wrap. Service was slow at the start, the waitress kept refiliing my ice tea even though there was no more ice in the glass, but eventually picked up. Not sure what the total bill was since my sister treated everyone that evening. Overall, not bad. This place is like an upscale TGIF or similar to a Fleming's only they don't specialize in steak.

I wasn't feeling well (with a horrible sore throat + cold) when I visited so I should probably hold off on reviewing the food until my taste buds are back. That being said, the only thing that sounded good while I was sick was waffles; specifically bananas fosters. We started out with that. It was decent but too smothered in syrup to the point where the waffles were EXTREMELY soggy. I had the chicken lettuce wraps (I skipped breakfast and it was around 2pm so I was starving by this point) which were OK, nothing to write home about, The boy had a burger that had bacon on it. Generally, I don't like beef + bacon but it had a nice flavor and the fries were OK. Our server was on top of things but I really can't justify giving it 4 stars unfortunately...

After having passed by this place several times and loving the facade, I decided to check it out, and i'm glad I did! By first glace, I assumed it would be a hipster joint that was full of black glasses and tattoos, but it was really a low-key classy(ish) little joint with a wonderful decor. I opted for the Chicken and Waffles, because, lets face it.. Who doesn't love Greasy Chicken and Sugary Waffles??!! I was very surprised at the large plate they brought me, great quantity and even better quality! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a little something off the wall, and not too pricey.

I reviewed the other location a while back, but I thought my experience last night was enough to make me write again. Met 6 friends there for a Thursday night gathering. Sometimes large parties get the bums rush even at casual chain restaurants, but last night that was not the case. The waiter (Steven) took drink orders as people arrived and answered many questions about them menu and his favorites. Most everyone in our party had eaten there before, but we were willing to take suggestions. The food came out quickly and for the most part accurate (one salad had tomatoes, when there had been a request to leave them off). Water and other drinks were replenished often. Everyone enjoyed the food (many clean plates). Two folks ordered the Argentinian Pizza, looked and smelled amazing! I had the spinach salad - very tasty, but a bit over dressed for my taste. Yes, the menu is a bit small, but things are house made and made to order so that is a way to keep the food quality up. My salad was in the $8 range and it was enough for 2 meals. I really think anyone can find something they will like there. Desert was banana's foster, not my thing but everyone else loved it. (Waiter offered to split the dessert tab 7 ways if we wanted, some places they act offended if a party of 4 wants separate checks.) Decor is a little dark, but it makes it warm and inviting. They have covered outdoor seating if you like. There was not an added gratuity - which I kind of expected for a large party. I was kind of lukewarm after my last visit...but will go back again soon.

I've been to this Saul Good three times, and every time I've had the same waitress, who's always very friendly, ready to throw out recommendations, and perfectly attentive. The ambiance also isn't bad - it's suitably lighted, and though it can be a bit crowded, it's perfectly comfortable. The food is very good, and the prices are pretty fair. I've had the Argentine pizza, Mexican pizza, and eggplant pizza - all of which were fantastic though the eggplant was probably my favourite. My favourite appetizer used to be the cheese fondue, which wasn't too bad, though I've made more flavourful at home. When they got rid of the cheese fondue, we decided to try the lettuce wraps, which were a really great replacement. I lived in a very Asian-influenced city before I moved to Lexington, and I've adopted lettuce wraps as one of my favourite things. The filling was great and the lettuce was fresh. The martinis are fun. My favourite is their little trio of three kinds, so you get to try three cocktails. Their beer list isn't super-extensive, but it is good. The desserts are also great. The waffles are always fresh and delicious. Last time, we got the chocolate fondue, made with dark chocolate. The dipping pieces were plentiful and fresh. I've had a great meal at Saul Good every time and will continue to go back.

I ate twice here while I was in Lexington last month. It was down the street from our hotel, reasonably priced, and delicious! I brought a larger group here on a Friday night and they were quick to find us a table. Service never wavered. When I dined alone earlier in the week for lunch I did have to wave down some assistance, so I don't think it is always amazing service but still good. First, the chocolate drizzled popcorn? Get it. It was a sweet way for our entire group to have a small bite of dessert without feeling overly stuffed. We shared the hot brown pizza to start. Ever time I visit Kentucky I feel like I try another version of the infamous hot brown. This was probably one of my favorites. It was light and full of flavor! The chicken and waffles comes with syrup already on it. Be warned and ask for it dry if you don't like lots of syrup. But it was tasty! I had a strawberry salad that was perfect. It was well-balanced, crisp, and filling. Next time I am in Lexington, I will definitely make an effort to come back to Saul Good.

Looking for something unfranchised and stumbled on Saul Good. I braved the chicken and waffles (I either couldn't decide on breakfast or supper, or I was already tipsy from the Blue Moon). It was wonderful! Hot, sweet, full of contradictions! I'll be back to try the argentine pizza and the sechzuan steak sandwich!

I've been here several times. I've been satisfied each time. The service is good, the food is good, the prices are average. A little on the high side but not too bad. It's a nice atmosphere. It's not overly dressy, but it can be a place to go for a nice dinner. The noise level is quiet and therefore it's easy to have good conversation and have an enjoyable evening.

Saul Good offers traditional American cuisine in a casual, yet trendy environment. Food: Although some might contend that the menu at Saul Good is limited, I personally feel that it offers a nice selection of items that will please most reasonable palates. The menu includes everything from salads, to pizzas, to sandwiches, to fried chicken and waffles. The food is by no means gourmet, but is commensurate with what you would expect from a place called "Saul Good". They also offer a nice selection of wines, beers, and specialty mixed drinks. Service: On the one occasion that I dined here while visiting Lexington, the service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere: I was advised by several locals that Saul Good is as trendy as you're going to get in Lexington. That being said, I think the decor could best be described as TGI Friday's with a modern twist. Price: The food quality is comparable to the price. Appetizers run between $7 and $10, while entrees don't exceed $15. Drinks are actually quite cheap - a glass of wine is around $6. Other: I dined at Saul Good on a Saturday night at 7:30 and was surprised that there was no wait for a table of four. I'm not sure if this is characteristic of Lexington restaurants or if it was just an off night.

I have heard nothing but good things about Saul Good from friends, so I had to check it out myself. I love the atmosphere. Upon first glance, I thought I was underdressed for how nice the restaurant looked, but after seeing other people in UK gear and the servers wearing jeans and black shirts, I felt better about the situation. I do agree that the food is a tinge expensive for what is is. I think the quality is great though--wonderful flavors! My fiance and I split the lettuce wraps, the Argentinian pizza (delicious!), and a waffle sundae. Yum. We loved the food! It was a splurge for us to spend this much for what we got, but we're glad we did. Waffles + ice cream + chocolate = sweet sugary goodness. All of their desserts are made right there in their chocolate bar. The smell is wonderful. If you live in Lexington, definitely try this place once.

St. Patties day specials rock! I had a Reuben burger that was fantastic. They also have a corned beef meal and a wonderful shepherds pie that another person in our party got that looked fantastic. And also half off Guinness and a few other drinks too. Should note that we have been on several other occasions and have never ever been disappointed, the seasoned fries are to die for and the chicken and waffles is awesome, as well as any pizza we have gotten. It never disappoints ever!

Flew in from California for Christmas 2011. While there, I drove into Lexington for a night to meet up with some friends--a married couple and an old classmate now living in the Northeast. We all had a great visit. We were all mulling where to go eat and I suggested Saul Good; I heard great things about the restaurant, had never been there and like to give the occasional local business a try! We said, why not?! It was cold that night, in the 40s and kind of rainy, but I didn't take one star off for that reason. I've just become a weather wuss in the short time I've lived on the West Coast. The wait, service, table, atmosphere, ambiance, and quality of the food were all very satisfactory. Our waitress was friendly. But the reason I deducted one star was because the fish taco I ordered was NOTHING like the fish tacos I can order in a Bay Area taqueria. It was good, but just not nearly the same. It lacked the richer flavor and personality. I know it's Kentucky and far away from California, but I love me a good fish taco. I should have ordered a hamburger. However, next time I'm in Lexington, I would certainly come back to Saul Good. Nothing wrong with the restaurant itself.

Excellent food and an awesome dessert menu! Some desserts are a chocolate fondue and a Belgian waffle! If you love sweets, then you need to come here!! I would not suggest someone on a diet to come here, as anyone and everyone are in danger when they look at the dessert menu!

We were passing through Lexington so I pulled up Yelp, looking for a unique restaurant. Wow, we couldn't have been more surprised with Saul Good. The atmosphere was cool--an upscale/casual feel, the energy good and the food outstanding. Great flavor and extremely unique dishes. We did the Thai pizza and an extremely flavorful strawberry spinach salad. Good beer selection (I had the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale). It was a truly unique experience. We aren't your Outback/Chili's/Applebees type of patron, and we're always looking for something unique like Saul Good. Also, a nice touch--they had bendaroos for the kids, which kept them much more occupied than your standard coloring sheets, which was a nice treat!

The name says it all...it's Saul Good as far as pub/restaurants go! I had the pleasure of dining here three times in the two weeks I stayed in Lexington! A must try is the Chicken and Waffles! Boneless dark meat chicken (perfectly seasoned and fried) laying on top of a golden Belgium waffle. The chicken was crispy but not greasy. By the end of the night, my travel companions were all fighting over the last piece on my plate! For something lighter try the Strawberry Salad. The strawberries add a light and refreshing touch to the grilled chicken salad. The beer selection was pretty extensive, though I only drank the local Kentucky Boubon Barrel Ale (highly recommended!). The portion sizes are large which makes it difficult to stop eating! The restaurant was clean and cozy and the staff was excellent and very attentive. The average wait time for our appetizers was approximately 15 minutes and we never had more than a 5 minute wait for a table. I will definitely return on my next visit to Lexington!

Its Saul Good, that was the lame joke that we kept uttering on our way to this fine restaurant. We were heading out for my birthday and I was looking to try something new and somewhere my girlfriend had not been. When she said she knew about this place that served chicken and waffles I was sold. Very hesitant about the place, I think my stomach was intimidated by the chicken and waffles, we walked in with some reluctance. The interior is nice and casual classy, something out of an Ethan Allen store, and the waiters wore jeans and t-shirts. What convinced us to stay were the sweet smells coming from the kitchen. The menu is somewhat small, only one page (front and back). From the looks of it they specialize in new takes on Soul and other comfort foods- a lot of pizzas, burgers, sandwiches chicken and waffles, apps, salads, and a steak and salmon dish. I went with the Parisian Pizza and it was Magnific! It consisted of fresh cheeses (some Brie I believe), green apple, ham, and honey. Simply amazing. The crust was marvelous and combined with the flavors above, the pizza provided a rich, savory, warm taste that proved to be the prefect respite to the cold winter night outside. My girlfriend got the buffalo tenders, which were ok. Normal buffalo sauce, but they used a darker meat and it reminded me of something I would get in a Chinese resturaunt, which isn't really a bad thing. We also had a cheesecake, which was also good. They wrote happy birthday in chocolate sauce which was a very nice touch Overall Pros: -Good atmosphere. Good place to take a date, or celebrate a birthday or something. -Great Drink Selection. Didn't drink that night, but they had a lot of beers (Sam Adams, Bodingtons, New Castle) and all were about 4.50 or so. the mixed drink selection also looked good. - Good service. Very pleased with the service, quickly seated and the food came out astonishingly fast. Cons Price. Aside from the pints, I felt like everything on the menu was about 2 bucks too much. Though my pizza was excellent, for 13 bucks I would have liked a little more ham. So if you are looking to be a little adventurous without truly leaving your comfort zone or breaking the bank then this is your place. Its all good at Saul Good...

I'd rename this place "Salts Good." Let me tell you why: Service was stellar, despite it being a busy night. We came in with a party of 12 and no reservation, they seated us quickly. Atmosphere is nice, defintely not a pub feel, though. Apps were good. We had dips, most excellent. We ordered a wide range of foods, and I sampled from three entrees other than my own. - Thai pizza - excellent. Not sure that was the name, but it had chicken, peanut sauce, and was finished with shredded carrots. Excellent blend of flavors, the crust was thin, crispy, and supported the "stuff" well. - Buffalor tenders - sauce was appropriately spicy, the meat was good quality and not the over-processed meat you normally find in a Sysco-Truck restaurant. A little too much on the salt, though. - French onion soup - baked off to perfection, right balance of cheese and bread on top. Again, though, a bit heavy on the salt. - My wife and I split the sirloin marinated in Woodford Reserve. I was uber-excited about this option because I love bourbon and I'd bathe in Woodford if I could afford to do so. Since I can't, I order steaks bathed in Woodford. This was a disappointment, though. Despite the meat being cooked to perfection (medium rare, for me), there was wayyyyyyy too much seasoning. I ate two bites and couldn't continue, passing it along to my 14 year old son who eats so much so fast that his taste buds don't know they exist. Later, he complained of being more thirsty than usual. As for me, my two bites had to be followed by two glasses of water to make the "deer at a salt-lick" feeling go away. Finally, my 10 year old daughter ordered the brownie banana split with strawberries and pineapples. It was HUGE, definitely enough for 2-3 people. It was chock full of fresh fruit and a high quality of ice cream. The brownie was "meh" but the flavors all around it made it a great dessert. I'd give this place another try next time I'm in Lexington, but would definitely steer clear of the heavier foods that may have been stored on the sodium truck out back.

This place was recommended to me by our hotel staff as an alternative to the chain restaurants (..and there are a lot of them) in the Hamburg area. At 2:00 in the afternoon I wasn't surprised to find the bar empty but there were a few people having late lunches at the tables so I guess that's where the servers were putting their attention. Two servers were going back in forth between the dining area and the kitchen while doing a good job of avoiding eye contact with me. After a few minutes, a server/bartender arrived, got me a drink and a menu and the service was good for the rest of the experience. I did get a little miffed because I was ignored by being in No Man's Land. At least a greeting would have been in order. Anyway the menu was somewhat limited with a odd selection of items: pizza, burgers, waffle chicken. I asked if this was just the lunch menu but the server said it's their standard menu. By this time I was getting a little nervous about the food (although the gin and tonic was good) so I went with the basic: bacon cheeseburger and fries. The food was delivered as described on the menu and hit the spot. Especially good was the bacon: very lean and smoked. Overall, the food was a four (However, a good burger shouldn't be much of a challenge) and the service, once started was also a four. I just dinged them for the cold shoulder treatment at the start. Also, the decor is, like the menu, a little peculiar. Chandeliers and framed mirrors over the booths just didn't didn't jive with the somewhat trendy bar area.

I have eaten at both locations and I will say I think this one is much better than the one on Mall Road. Both times I have been I have sat outside, because I enjoy sitting outside. I find the ambiance to be very appealing and it's one reason I am always tempted to go but then I think about the food. We, my manfriend and I, went on Saturday night this past week. The service was great, she was a sweet little waitress who was very attentive. The drinks were OK, I had the Cucumber Collins first... it had too much mint in it, way too much mint... and I love mint, I never thought there could be too too much... My date had an L.I.T., which he said was very good. He then ordered me the Candy Bar Martini, it was delightful... well I ordered it after my meal so it was an alcoholic dessert (which are the best kind)... For dinner I had the California Portobello Sandwich... it was alright, the mushroom and vegetables were delicious, I had mine with no cheese... but the bun was kind of dry and flaky... under par... It would have been better toasted then put with the sandwich, the sweet potato fries were really good. They were crunchy, sweet, and had a hit of salt.... delicious. I gave this place three stars because I felt it was underwhelming. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, and it wasn't great... it was, as in the words of Yelp Star Rating, "A-OK."

Chicken and Waffles was just ok. The chicken was juicy and crispy but something was missing. Though the syrup was yummy with the chicken, a mango salsa or something similar would have made it a definite reorder.

I have to complain about a place that has a laminated beer menu. Laminated? That means you don't change the beer lineup! If you don't change it, please don't act like you are a beer place. You are not. The burger was fine and the fries- thinly done - unique to Lexington. Will have to give it a second shot sometime. I have seen the chef shopping at the farmers market, though I didn't see anything on the menu indicative of local.

My family and I just had lunch there today. I give the place 4.5 stars. We got there 15 minutes til opening, so we were the first to be served, our food came fairly quick. The kids loved the "wikki stix" instead of crayons to get them preoccupied while waiting for the food. I had the grilled alaskan salmon which I thought was really good, when you take a bite, the flavors will explode in your mouth. The only thing I didn't like was the pesto which was too salty for me, otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating. My husband ordered tuna salad sandwich in a pita and came with fries, and it wasn't typical, taste was creative. Presentation of food was excellent. Service was superb! The restaurant manager kept checking with us if everything was good. 5 star service was when I asked if my salmon came with bread which it didn't, the manager offered a complimentary ciabatto (?) that was to die for, freshly baked and melted in my mouth. Our drinks were filled without prompting. If you're into burgers, pizzas and sandwiches, you'll love this place, I won't be surprised if they were gourmet quality, but if you like "healthier" food, they only have very few options, I'm probably not going back for this reason.

Trendy decor, that's it. Just had a terrible dining experience here. Was initially seated at a dirty table (table surface, booth & floor). Iced tea arrived warm with melted ice chips afloat, lemon wedge was grey on peel, side dinner salad was totally cafeteria, med rare sirloin (ordered) was stringy, chewy, flavorless, and how they managed to grill one steak rare, med rare, medium, med well and well in different sections- I have no idea. The server was completely oblivious. Would we care for dessert? Uh no. Get me the heck out of here ASAP. There was so much to complain about, it wasn't even worth the awkwardness. Just made note to self, skip it.

Good vegetarian options! The portabella burger was great. The shoestring fries are so good! Dessert was bananas foster waffle and it was a perfect way to end a meal. I highly recommend Saul Good for delicious American fare.

Without a doubt one of the best restaurant lunches I've had ... anywhere! Turkey Cobb Sandwich with bacon, blue cheese, avacado, & a balsamic vinegar dressed lettuce ... awesome! Absolutely unique French Fries are the best I've had in 45 years of business travel eating. None to match. Outstanding Cole slaw and a hot Nutella/chocolate cake-in-a-cup that is outrageous! Our fist time at Saul Good, but it will be motivation to get back to Lexington A.S.A.P. No, I don't work for them, but I kid you not, you will not be disappointed!

We had an amazing meal, two different pizzas, a big breakfast and Cajun chicken pasta. Everything was delicious and I loved my mini birthday marttini. Our server, Ryan, was amazing, it was like he was a mindreader. The %off for my birthday meal was a great bonus. My mom wants to go back for her birthday. My compliments to the kitchen staff, Ryan and everyone else working today. Thanks

We usually go to the Saul Good on Nicholasville Road, but had an appointment near this one on my husband's birthday so decided to come for dinner. The food and drinks were at the level we've come to expect and enjoy from Saul Good, but service was poor (especially since the restaurant wasn't very busy). It took 10 minutes for beer to reach our table after ordering it, water was rarely refilled, there was very long wait for our bill, and our waitress seemed miserable. There's a lot to like about Saul Good, but this location is a little weak for Saul Good standards.

Our favorite local restaurant in Lexington; a must-go when we're in town. Pizzas are excellent and we love the local beer selection. Menu items are very unique and we've never had a selection we didn't enjoy. Ambiance is wonderful with a great music selection for any 30-something; think listening to Biggie Smalls, Nirvana, or Bruce Springsteen while enjoying a meal. A truly phenomenal place for hanging out with friends, and a place we miss terribly since relocating to Vegas.

One of my "go-to" places with the kid in tow. Good food, friendly staff, and great outdoor sitting. Nothing bad to say. Didnt get 5 stars because food isnt over the top. Consistly good but not over the top.

Tonight I had southwest dip, Cesar salad & crab rangoon flatbread. As usual I wasn't disappointed. I love the exciting flavor combinations they put together. Of course anything with cilantro on or in it is delicious, in my opinion. We'll probably finish up with a half baked chocolate chip cookie. So good!

Not sure about all the hype with this place. Tried two different pizzas (Hot Brown and Rosemary Chicken). Both were just average. Fries were good, but were a bit cool. Menu seems limited and prices a bit high.

I have to put a disclaimer that I had a couple drinks before coming here. This place reminds me of the "smug" episode on South Park where the rich people smell each other's farts for enjoyment. I really didn't find anything exceptional about the place except for their prices. The menu seemed limited and the food was alright. The things that this place had going for it was an ok tap list and a decent staff. If I'd have known what I was getting into before I came here, I'd have stayed at the last place.

Wonderful atmosphere and great waiter! He suggested the pork chop (he said without a doubt!) and he was right! One of the best grilled pork chops I've ever had! My co worker got the strawberry salad with salmon and she said it was also very good! Desserts looked awesome but I was stuffed from my meal :( but next time it's on!

I would like to forget that I even came to this place bc my mood wasn't happy, but that wasn't their fault so let's begin. When I arrived it was maybe 9:45 pm and in Lexington KY that's the equivalent of 3 am. Not even joking. The place was dead and you could tell the servers wanted to bounce up out of there to be honest, so did I. I ordered Long Island Ice Tea and the salmon. I think the person I was with had the mahi mahi. We also had their steak nachos which were surprisingly pretty good. Meals came quick and the service was pretty transactional... Meaning here's your food, me almost stabbing the poor server with my fork for trying to take my veggies away in order to hurry us, and bringing the check. The food actually was pretty good for example my salmon was at the right temperature and my veggies were seasoned really well. Kudos to the cook. I usually don't order cocktails like that bc they are too sweet but this was good. I could have used 10 more LIIT and nachos to go and maybe a 6 pack too. If you wanna get a meal and don't care about the ambiance I recommend.

We had a really nice meal here, the Portobello sandwich was delicious, and my mom really enjoyed the Turkey Club sandwich. The fries were crisp and very tasty. We were really fortunate, we were seated in the bar where it was unexpectedly quieter. We received outstanding service (thank you Billy, you made our evening!), received great beer (the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale was so good) and drink recommendations, and had an all 'round lovely evening. Thank you!

Couldn't believe it could get better, but it did. The service is above average the Cobb salad was great the last time I was here, but the mahi mahi is fantastic with a peppery taste. The kids love to come here to get the wiki stix to play with. Ask about the happy hour if you come early enough 1/2 off bottles of wine. Be sure to go your birthday, you get you age off. If your turning 40 you get 40% off.

Pretty good, especially for a family sit down. Great beer and food selection, with the pizzas being my favorite. Also the waxed string things they give to the kids to at with are very popular with my kids when we are waiting on our food.

Stopping here on our way back to the hotel, we were recommended Saul Good by a family member. The restaurant had a really cool atmosphere, and the wait staff was very friendly. Our waiter, Doug, was super nice and offered his favorite meals, along with the restaurant specials and most popular dishes. He kept our drinks full and was attentive and friendly. He gave us lots of time to decide--all of the menu items looked delicious! I decided on the steak and blue salad, but substituted blue cheese for goat cheese with no problem. I also got a side of mashed potatoes and we started the table off with lettuce wraps. The rest of my party got salmon with sun-dried tomatoes and pesto and split a Hawaiian burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The lettuce wraps were delicious. The actual lettuce was crunchy and perfectly cupped to hold the chicken, crunchy wonton pieces, and a soy-sauce type spread. They were very good and we were all able to have two each. My dinner was FANTASTIC. I am always on the lookout for a good, healthy salad, and this was it. Four rings of red onion, marinated Portobello mushrooms, steak cut into bite-sized pieces, and a good amount of goat cheese on a bed of fresh romaine. The dressing was light and just perfect for the salad. My mashed potatoes were also very delicious. Not too garlicky, they were a perfect consistency with bits of red potato skin throughout. The rest of my party enjoyed a side salad with homemade poppyseed dressing (delicious), the Hawaiian burger that had grilled pineapple, cheese, and teriyaki sauce. Two people split it, cooked medium with a good pink center, along with a side of sweet potato fries and a side of marshmallow ketchup. They were not a fan of the marshmallow, but the fries were delicious. For dessert, we went all out! We got the bananas foster over a waffle with vanilla ice cream, stout ice cream with chocolate covered potato chips, Nutella mug cake, and a cookie skillet. My personal favorite was the bananas foster waffle, but I loved everything else. Overall, if I'm back in the Lexington area for whatever reason, I'll be back!

I ate at Saul Good several months ago, and although I wish I could recall each detail, there are only two things that have stuck in my mind. First, service was really good. Second, the bananas foster waffle was completely mind-blowing. If you are close to Saul Good, run (or drive) and eat this dessert as soon as humanly possible.

My wife and I were planning on eating at Ramsey's Diner, but opted for Saul Good. First of all, the sides and dessert we had were very good, no complaints. However, my Brisket sandwich was cold, and my wife's burger was almost rare, instead of medium-well. The manager came by and asked about our meal, so we told him the scoop. He took back the burger and re-cooked it some more, but it still was undercooked. He did allow us to choose a dessert as a remedy for the mistakes. I might give them another try, but with Ramsey's Diner nearby, it may be a while.

Saul Good has good beer, good atmosphere and good food. While it certainly doesn't deserve a 3 star, I wish I could do 3.5. I go usually once every two weeks, mainly for lunch with co-workers. They adore the place. I...well, I've never been outright amazed at the food. The Bacon burger is my go-to, I've had the Saul Meat Pizza and Turkey Cobb, the breakfast platter....but none of it really felt 'amazing,' just decent. That being said, there's nothing wrong here. Its analogous to a TGI Fridays or Ruby Tuesdays...maybe close to Cheesecake Factory or Maggianos....its got a brand with decent food that does enough to satisfy but not wow. I will say, however, there was a braised duck flatbread that was offered during Lexington Beer Week 2014. That thing was amazing and I hope they consider it for their menu. That being said, there's absolutely no reason not to go here, but no reason to really get excited about things.

I really like this place when I walked in. They reminded me of a classy restaurant but at the same time a casual restaurant. I like the set up of this place where it's not just a giant open space but Morava you know quite low areas where you can actually sit and enjoy food and not be disturbed as much. The service here was just downright amazing I did not expect to be treated so well and always checked up on every few minutes so I give this place a lot of credit for that. Our waiter asked us what we like to drink and sadly didn't have Dr Pepper but I got a Diet Coke. Came back a few minutes later with our drinks. I ordering my food right there of cheese and bacon burger with extra cheese and he didn't even charge me extra for it. I really like the shoestring french fries they had at this place it was pepper just write a enough salt didn't have to head extra myself. The burger was cooked just right how I liked it well done and the toppings were just amazing I was very pleased with my food this night. I'll be coming back to this place quite often with people and show them a good time.

If you like a little spice, then the Cajun Pasta at Saul Good is just right! Red peppers and onions, mushrooms with a delicious Cajun sauce and tender pieces of chicken mixed with penne pasta, perfect! Candles on every table! Great ambiance!

I like that this place has a breakfast on their menu at dinner time, even though I never order it. I had a very nice coq au vin myself while my bestie did order the breakfast and somehow paired it with a glass of Riesling. The service was great, our waiter went out of his way to make sure we didn't need anything else? Thanks Drew!! Good place to stop in if you want a varied menu.

Everything I've had at Saul Good was, in fact, very good. I work close by so for me it's more of a lunch option and for a lunch spot I feel it's a little over priced. Nothing ridiculous, but when I get my check I always think, "huh, that seems a little high for tuna salad" But having said that, the tuna salad is great and the decor is nice for Hamburg so I prob wouldn't feel that way if I were there for dinner. Anyway, they do offer a 1/2 price menu on snow days... so there's that:)

Met for lunch here. Very pleasant surprise! Thai pizza was a perfect lunch for 3, with the southwestern chip&dip and the chocolate stout ice cream for dessert. Service was some of the best I've had. A great waiter knows when not to interrupt the conversation! Will be very happy to return in the future.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food including excellent desserts! I had the portobello mushroom sandwich, which had a ton of vegetables on it. It was excellent. My boyfriend had the bacon cheddar burger and said the bacon was some of the best he's ever had. Mom got the turkey Cobb sandwich and said the avocado made the sandwich. We were all very happy with our meals, our waitress was very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. But the dessert was easily my favorite thing we had. The half baked cookie sundae was amazingly perfect! We will definitely be back soon!

This is a local lil establishment with 3 locations currently (I think). They offer great food. From burgers to salads, you can't go wrong. Their salads are great because they chop it small enough and premix it for you so that every bite has a bit of everything in it. Very impressive to the attention to detail. They have great pizzas and beer cheese nachos you will slap your momma for. They have a great beer and drink menu as well. Love their food in general and their service. Never had a bad experience here. I recommend asking what their special is for sure. It isn't on their menu but it usually is a couple of unique items they offer for a month. This months was a great bacon burger with spicy mayo and a fried green tomato on it. Very good. I would recommend this anytime. Just look for the zebra print....like a happy trail it will lead the way to a good time.

I used Yelp to find this place while in Lexington and man am I glad I did. This is truly Saul Good! If you are in Lexington and haven't tried it, get there and try it now, or as soon as it is open. I enjoyed the space, very clean and modern, uncluttered and new. Since it had been open for a short time, I kind of expected that. I had the chicken and waffles, and man were they great. I wish I had a bigger stomach just so I could eat more chicken and waffles. The chicken was seasoned just perfectly to accent the sweet waffles. It was crisp and wonderful. I can't wait to get to Lexington again to try more on the menu, if I can get past the chicken and waffles, that is.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
