Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This place has been on my list of restaurants to try for a long time after seeing it on secrets of bluegrass chefs, and I finally got around to trying it. If you want a good piece of pizza, this isn't your place. I'm not saying the pizza is bad, it isn't. At the same time it's not good enough to go there just for the pizza. I also had their home made beer cheese, and I'm left with the same impression. It's good, I'd eat it again, but i can go to the grocery store and buy better. That's the reason for the lack of stars. Why would anyone go here? It's a cool place. The back patio is huge, and mostly in the shade. The covered patio looks like it used to be a horse stable; the big wooden doors are beautiful, as is the rest of the building. As a restaurant, I'm unimpressed, and that's the general feeling I left with. But as a bar, it's nice and has decent food. Go in with the right expectations, and you won't be disappointed.

First, there are two things you need to know before going to this place. Parking can be a little tricky, especially if the parking lot directly across the street is full and all the street parking nearby is packed. Next, and perhaps even more important, is that service here is very slow. You seat yourself, then sometimes it can be 5-10 minutes before anyone visits your table. Once you actually get around to placing your meal order, you usually have to wait at least 30-40 minutes for the food to arrive. That's if the place is only somewhat busy. I would hate to see what service is like when it's actually packed (if that ever happens). Now, for the redeeming factors. The burgers and fries are among the very best in Lexington, and the pizzas are pretty good (when they're not undercooked). OK, that covers the redeeming factors. Obviously, I'm being somewhat generous by giving this place two stars. If you're going to go during your lunch hour, you will actually need 90 minutes to get to this restaurant, park, actually get service, and then return to work.

Came to Grey Goose this weekend with some friends who were in town. Our server, Caroline, was one of the rudest servers I had ever had. Between rolling her eyes when we asked to hear the beer list, giving rude looks when we asked about certain dishes, and having to ask THREE times for an ice water, I can honestly say that I will not be back. After over 30 minutes, she finally took our order. We had beer cheese and chicken wings to start which were great. Great pizzas as well. Regardless that we were there over 3 hours, the food was wonderful. It is a shame that such great food is wasted by such horrible service. FIX THIS.

Grey Goose has the best patio in town, hands down. The food is always good and is moderately priced. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The parking can be tight but there is an attendant who will help you find a place. He even sometimes will hold spaces for you. You can't beat the wedge salad!

First time here. Place is full of charm and atmosphere. Nice patio and covered outside dining. Good menu selection of food. Had specialty pizza, bbq chicken homemade sweet bbq sauce Gouda cheese onion and pepperoni. Very tasty and well sized. Enjoyed visit and service was good. Parking a premium down here!

I love Grey Goose, the restaurant which is not affiliated with the vodka brand... that I know of. I love Jefferson Street even more. If you're visiting the West Sixth Brewery or the wine market in Jefferson, you can stroll up Jefferson to several different restaurants. Each restaurant is different than the next. I recommend GG if you're in the mood for pizza. The flat bread pizza here at Grey Goose is excellent. The pesto pizza is also an excellent flat bread pizza option, especially if you're like me and tomato sauce doesn't like you very well. They have their own parking lot, it's a bit small but there is also street side parking all along both sides of Jefferson. Parking shouldn't be an issue. The patio area is in the back of the restaurant, so there isn't much of a view of Jefferson Street, which could be a good thing for those of us who don't like to watch passersby while dinning. I've only been inside once and it was a bit dark, I'm not sure if that's a nor or not, but it was too dark for me. So, i usually opt for the patio area, if the weather is permitting.

Last night we had a great time here with friends. Loved the pizza. Only place I have seen a hot brown pizza. Outstanding wings too. Enjoyed the outdoor patio atmosphere. Good service too.
(4)Megan M.
Great atmosphere. We sat in the back patio, which was nice. The pizzas are good but not as sophisticated as one would think given the decor and area. I like that you can get a half salad - I would definitely go back :)
(4)Brooke M.
Went for their new brunch and I guess it wasn't really advertised, we were the only ones in the store. Ordered the omelet and I wasn't crazy about it - but the potatoes were good. A little underwhelmed considering I really like their dinner.
(4)Amy W.
The artichoke dip is fantastic! This past Friday night I went to the Grey Goose with a group of friends and had the fried chicken salad. It was good, but nothing to write home about. The service was a bit slower than usual. This isn't a place that I would pick if it were my choice to chose the restaurant, but likewise it isn't a place that I would protest if chosen by my friends as a meeting spot. It seems that a lot of people like the atmosphere on the patio.
(4)Sarah R.
Came to Grey Goose before the Legends game. Computers went down during dinner. We found out when wings didn't come out. We waited (with a three year old) for 30 minutes for our check. Manager never appeared until we requested one. All she said was sorry. The server, who was great, came with a handwritten check. I asked about a discount, and she was silent. I just wondered why manager didn't provide SOMETHING! We could have gotten an extra drink or a percentage off. I am very disappointed with the management in light of the IT issue. If we were worried about being a half hour late to the baseball game, we would have left a twenty for the server and left. This is ridiculous. And we will not be back, unfortunately.

To be fair, it seems the best part of this restaurant is the patio, which I have not experienced, and I may have reviewed the restaurant more favorably if I had. Within the restaurant itself, TVs were intrusive, and it seemed very dark. I had their pesto pizza, and I did like the seasoned outer crust and the pesto sauce had good flavor, but I wish it had been evenly distributed. The balsamic reduction was overpowering, especially since our pizza had as much balsamic as it did pesto. The pizza cost $17 which I think is too high for what we received. I'd be interested in going out for drinks on the Grey Goose's patio at some point in the future since I did not try their drinks or experience the patio, but I am not eager to return for their food.
(2)Jesse R.
I dig this place for lunch and specifically the pesto pizza with chicken added. The prices aren't bad but the parking situation blows. The place can get pretty packed for games and such so make sure you have ample time to waste when trying to snag a table. My only gripe is the bathrooms are too small for a place of this size.
(4)Amanda B.
The atmosphere and outdoor patio is something you don't get much of in Lexington and it's awesome! I have to say those are the reasons I like this place. The food is nothing spectacular and I still have not had anything that wow'd me. The pizza choices are different but the pizza is flimsy and not crunchy until you get to the crust. If you don't grab the bottom you will lose all the toppings. Wings were slimy and not very good at all and the cheddar broccoli bites I'm sure are just Sysco bought. Go here for a few drinks before you go somewhere else on Jefferson St to eat.

I went to the Grey Goose last night for a friend's birthday dinner. Pros: -The food was good -The ambiance was really cool with the majority of the dining taking place outside -The hostess was very kind in accomadating our big party. 4 of us showed up a little late and she pulled in an outside table to make sure we could all sit together. (She def. gets 5*) Cons: -Very very little parking (Take this as you will. Parking is a pet peeve of mine) -The server was a really nice guy but was only a 3* waiter. He kept on disappearing and not returning. We would've order several more drinks but had no one to get them! haha Recommendation: I believe any restaurant with a 3* rating on yelp is worth going to at least once. I would definitely go back to this restaurant. The easy fix would be the waiter. Which honestly might have just been him having an off night (it was soooo hot outside). Unfortunately the parking will keep me from ever giving the elusive 5th star.
(3)Laura B.
Pizza Love! They do pizza right. Thin crust, baked on stone in a wood fired oven. The pesto pizza and the greek are the best. I have been here many times and it's one of my favorites. Servers have always been friendly and attentive. And they also have good chicken wings (which I normally don't care for).

A few friends and I visiting from Detroit decided to try out this place for dinner on a whim. we were happily surprised with how great our experience was! I believe our servers name was Meredith, and she was so friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We started out with the spinach dip, which was not what we were expecting because it wasn't really a "dip" since it was served on top of sliced bread, but it was so delicious! Then my friend and I split the Egg Pizza- YUM! My boyfriend had the chicken sandwich, which he said was better than most he's had lately. My friends boyfriend had the Fish & Chips, which was the best I've have (I had to try a bite!). The tarter sauce had a special ingredient that really made a difference, and the fish seemed to be very fresh, not battered too heavily. At the end of our meal we split the bill on two credit cards, one of which was declined. Our server did not make us feel awkward or weird at all, she was very friendly and simply said she'd be back in a few. Great service, food and overall experience! Would go back if I had the chance. :)

We walked here after a UK game at Rupp Arena and had a great time. Even though it was freezing out, we sat in the back patio/bar area and were toasty thanks to all the heaters. I started with the Ultimate Kentucky Martini made with Woodford Reserve bourbon and it was delicious. I love Kentucky bourbon martinis! Next, I couldn't resist trying the grilled wedge salad as I have a thing for them and had never had one grilled. It is served on a bed on Dijon vinaigrette which was very good, but I also had to get blue cheese crumbles because I think all wedge salads need blue cheese. The bacon crumbles just took it over the top. Even though I could have made a meal out of that wedge salad, I didn't stop there. I also really wanted to try one of their pizzas and our server recommended the Greek. With spinach, feta, and kalamata olives I knew that I would love it and I wasn't disappointed. I really like the thin, crispy crust of the Grey Goose's pizzas. I will be very happy to stop by the Grey Goose again next time I'm in Lexington!

My husband and I were visiting and decided we wanted to try some place with a good bar and good food. The reviews stated that this place had both. While the food was delicious, the bar (especially beer on tap) was limited. I settled for a Kentucky beer on tap, and it was very good, but it wasn't what I drove to get. We also ordered the fried mushrooms and one of their pizzas. The mushrooms were divine and not slimy like some I have had at other restaurants. The horseradish sauce that they came with was also creamy and perfect. The pizza has a very thin crust, but it is very good. We tried the Bleu Cheese pizza, and I am looking forward to returning to try the Hot Brown. The place itself is quite small with limited seating, but the outside seating area is nice. If you are looking for a place that isn't chain-like, has a variety of unusual pizzas, has great appetizers, and an okay bar, this is certainly a must-try. Parking is a pain, but the food was worth it.

Something has changed. My wedge salad was nowhere close to other restaurants. It included one cherry tomato cut in half. The bacon was missing. All three of us were missing items and had to wave down another server as ours was enjoying the view beyond the patio fence. All agreed it was different. We nearly had the patio to ourselves. Will be venturing somewhere else.

Hit the Goose last night. Shared the pesto pizza. Restaurant was so dark, I couldn't see the menu -- until today when I looked it up. Pesto pizza is described as:- "An oil & garlic base with mozzarella topped with a pesto swirl, balsamic reduction & parmesan ". Sounds good, righth? So bland and uninspiring, with hardly a whisper of taste. I can think of numerous ways it could have been kicked-up to excellent (and I'm just a "home chef"). Overpriced as well. We were sharing a table with some people who offered us a taste of their "broccoli bites", fried melt-in-your mouth florets, accompanied by a ranch dressing completely lacking in taste. Wondering if it came out of a bottle? Goose seems to have flown the coop!
(2)Derek L.
I like the atmosphere a lot and the Location is cool because there are a lot of other places to go around it now. So it's good if you are bar hopping. Cocktails are ok. Drinks are kind of expensive for what you get. If you are going to get food stick to pizza. Their pizza is pretty good. However, I made the mistake of ordering a steak once on a date and it was incredibly mediocre and dissatisfying.
(3)Brandy W.
A friend recommended the pizza here so I was excited to try it. The wedge salad is the only reason I would give this place 1 star. It wasn't very busy, yet all tables were dirty, pizza was paper thin and dry, and most importantly server did not even bother to say thank you, have a nice day, f!$& you or anything else at the end of the meal. He literally sat down the check book with a pen on top and walked away. I will not go back, plenty of better options in Lex.
(1)Eric D.
They have great Pizza and the service is outstanding. Natalie was our server and did a great job. The patio at Grey Goose is one of the best, if not the best in Lexington.
(4)Evelio A.
The food is great, and usually the atmosphere is superb, but management is terrible. I showed up for dinner, and found the main seating area filled with the noise of a basketball game. I asked for a quiet table, and was taken to a separate area. Soon after I ordered dinner, someone came out and turned on televisions, with the volume obscenely loud. I asked to be moved, and this took five minutes, and I ended being sat in a metal patio chair in some cold backside of the restaurant. Adding insult to injury, when I made my request, the waiter retorted, "You do know what's going on tonight, right?" Definitely not the level of service I've come to expect. I was offered a quiet table, and then because someone asked to watch a game, had to move and sit in a cold metal chair.
(2)Philip R.
Surprisingly bad service. Having read quite a few favorable reviews of Grey Goose, it's possible I had set my expectations a little to high. The wait staff were beyond disinterested, they were astoundingly rude. On top of having to wait nearly 10 minutes for our server to show up in a nearly empty restaurant, we were rushed through the ordering process. The atmosphere is no where near unique or special enough to warrant such snobby behavior.
(1)Ashley L.
I love the spinach salad! The pizza is unique and the crust is thin and amazing. Huge patio area for warm days. I also like their portobello sandwich.
(4)Jeff J.
I love thin crust pizza, and Grey Goose is thus my favorite pizza in Lexington. The pizza is hot, and the restaurant offers plenty of topping options. The menu is fairly limited, but the broccoli bites appetizer is a yummy, deep-fried pleaser. The staff are laidback and usually decent. The restaurant has arguably the best outdoor seating area in the city. The patio is large with heaters for cool days and umbrellas. It's a great place to go on a sunny day. On rainy days the covered side porch is also nice. Parking in this area is limited, but Grey Goose has a lot across the street from the restaurant. While the pizza is good, it is also fairly pricey.
(5)Amanda J.
UPDATE: We have eaten here twice since I have posted my original review six months ago. We used to eat here every month or two and never had issues. The past two times we have come the food has been sub par. Appetizers over salty and fried to the point of unrecognizable. Dry pizzas with overly burnt crusts, etc., etc. Not sure if something has changed recently, but we won't be back unless we hear differently from friends or something. I'm guessing others feel the same way because the place was pretty deserted while we were eating. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Love Grey Goose. Love the pizza. Love the beer. Love the porch. Love the service. I always recommend this place when people come to town or when friends want to meet up. I've never had a problem with parking since they opened up those lots across the street.
(3)Candace M.
I have no idea why this place came up as good for vegetarians on yelp! I can see its awesomeness in the works for other folks, but definitely not a spot for the veggie hearted. We were visiting Lexington for a quick road trip layover and this spot came up highly reviewed. It would definitely be fine for meat eaters but there was just a veggie pizza and a black bean veggie burger. I asked the waitress about the burger and she said it was morning star, so if you are vegan don't even bother since that one contains milk and egg! I wouldn't give this such a low rating otherwise, as my bf's chicken sandwich seemed to hit the spot, but I'm giving it three bc yelp offered it as an option when I typed in vegetarian, and it's pretty lame for that!
(3)Alex F.
Good thin crust pizza and if you're in the area I'd try it. Not a very large place, but I could see it being enjoyable and relaxing if you want to stop in for a drink. They do offer shared parking lot across the street which is a bonus.
(3)Kay R.
They are known for their pizza? I'm really glad that I didn't try anything else of their menu then. We were in town for a conference and had discovered Jefferson Street a few evenings prior. Our last meal in town was at Grey Goose, and it wasn't the note I wanted to leave Lexington on. It is such a cute location. The ambiance is lovely both indoors and out, and the location (Jefferson Street) is fantastic. The service was great too! So why the two starts? The food. I'm sorry, I not only was I not impressed with the pizza, I actually felt ill afterwards. Thin crust pizza is my fav, so I was sort of excited to try this famous pizza. It isn't thin, it's a tortilla. Which is fine, if you like that. We shared the pesto. There was so much oil that it was a fixture on both the top of the pizza, and underneath. There wasn't much flavor, and did not seem hand tossed. More, pre-fab frozen and thrown in the oven when we put our order with the friendly server. The cheese wasn't even melted. I'm not sure how a pizza crust can cook without melting the cheese. Hence my pre-fab- frozen hypothesis. One of my colleagues had the black bean burger which was good. Not great, not bad, but fine. This seems like a great spot for drinks - cute and great service. I just wouldn't come here to eat again.
(2)Melissa G.
We just left the Grey Goose and we were very disappointed. Our waiter was rude and unfriendly. The menu was odd and the food we ordered left much to be desired. I asked how spicy the black bean burger was and the waiter informed us that it was a frozen Morning Star patty. I ordered the spinach salad with grilled chicken and it was small and disappointing. The namesake burger was not good and the fries appeared to have been frozen. The pizza was okay but nothing special. The waiter brought us our checks before we had a chance to order another round of beer. I don't think I'd come back here again.
(2)Michael J.
Great pizza. Love the thin crust . Could have put more care into evenly distributing the toppings (pet peeve). The pesto pizza was a nice change but the pepperoni and sausage was the bomb. The beer selection (love me some sw 420), atmosphere (TVs all around and family friendly), and location (1 block from rupp) were all good.
(4)Luna L.
You either love the pizza or hate it. Sadly, I'm in the latter group. The crust is paper thin, with nothing to make it special. I liked the flavor of the toppings and if it had been presented as a flatbread appetizer, I would have given it 3 stars. As a pizza, it just didn't cut it and left me desiring real food. I enjoy the patio atmosphere, but this place does not deserve the hype it receives.
(2)Shaun H.
Had lunch here with some friends. Food as pretty good and service was friendly. I thought their menu had some fresh new ideas. I would recommend you giving this place a try if you are looking for something new.
(4)Emily D.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the Grey Goose when I had dinner here on Saturday evening. The first time I visited was immediately after it had opened, and I was not particularly impressed. However, on Saturday it was immediately evident that the restaurant had made some major changes for the better. I love the atmosphere of this place. It's cozy, but the large patio area also allows for big group gatherings. The patio is huge and lovely. The bars--both inside and outside--made for a very pleasant evening, and there is a significant collection of both vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. I will definitely be returning throughout this summer. Lovely restaurant.
(4)S T.
Awesome chicken wings and pizza! Bartender was great at giving us tips to do in the area on the day off we had
(5)Josh M.
One the best places in town to take people for Pizza. Patio in summer or winter is nice. Try the Grilled Salad!! Try Veg Pizza add Pep!!!
(4)Stella J.
Another reason to love Jefferson Street!! I remember when this building was totally empty and up for grabs and thinking what a cool place somebody could put in here-- now they have! They really did a great job on the inside, it's cozy and classy, with just a few well placed flat screen tvs that don't detract from the good vibes of the place at all. We were able to check out some of the last of the olympics the night we went. The night we went in, the place was totally packed due to an event at Rupp. There were families with kids, lots of couples, some singles too. Everyone was having a great time by the looks of it, I was really struck by what a happy vibe was going on. It was noisey, but in the sort of way that makes you comfortable to bring your kids, or to say something questionable without having the next table hear you. Ha. My husband got a blue cheese burger and I ordered a pizza, which was a ton more food than we needed, but who doesn't want leftover pizza? The burger was great- perfectly cooked at mid-rare as requested, with blue cheese a plenty oozing off the top. The fries were krinkle cut, so I'm not sure if they do that there or just get them pre-cut, but they were fried up just right, explosively crisp on the outside, tender inside. Just salt, no seasonings. My pizza was very thin crusted, with fresh whole milk mozzarella that had bubbled and oozed up just right. I had a gin and tonic that was just right, and my husband enjoyed a selection of beers, and was pleased at the offerings. I would LOVE to swing in here and grab a drink before a show again sometime soon, or to linger for dinner. The pizza was great! I am so happy to have more tasty Americana in Lex!! I can't think of another local joint that makes a hamburger worth eating. If I understand correctly, they have a lot for parking across the street too. Definitely put GG at the top of your list of place to try!
(4)Steve T.
I kept hearing that their pizza is the best and I can't deny it. It is great. We had the hot brown pizza and I can't wait to try all of them. The patio is superb with tvs all around to watch any sporting event going on. My only complaint is that our waiter was probably the worst that I ever had. I kept trying to order beer but he wouldn't even think of checking on us. But the pizza and mini corn dogs were so good that I'll overlook it(this time).
(4)Neha G.
I really like this place. I've been twice, once with just my husband and I, and once with a group of friends. The outdoor patio is very nice - they have heaters and a small firepit for if the weather is still chilly, and are really great about getting those going by request. Both times I've been I've tried their pizza, and it was delicious! Super thin crust, just the right amount of toppings. Because the crust is so thin, I was able to finish a pizza with my husband and not feel stuffed. They've got a decent beer and wine list and also some specialty cocktails. It's true that they don't have a large parking lot, but street parking is available and when the weather is nice it doesn't bother me at allto walk. Overall, a great place to enjoy an outdoor patio and good bar food.

I was once a delivery man in this area of Lexington. The Grey Goose bar is in what was once Ballard's market. A small old grocery store. We snuck in with about 5 minutes left in the KY/Ga. basketball game. We immediately spotted 2 open tables, but didn't know if they seated you or not. We waited long enough and picked a table and then some wait staff appeared . We discovered a menu with a great variety of appetizers. There is a large selection of wines with most about $5 per glass. A large selection of domestic and imported beers from 2.75 to 4.50 per glass. We ordered the beer cheese platter which includes beer cheese, crackers and an assortment of vegetables. Next came the veggie pizza. A thin crust wood oven baked pizza with bubbles in it to mop up the extra beer cheese. The interior is cozy, but so many people came in after the game you could actually feel the temperature drop in the place. The place became quite noisy then. It was a nice dinner though.Nice to see service still available under less than ideal or changing conditions.I will be going back soon to experience more , but probably not on game day. The cost of the evening with appetizer, pizza, a glass of wine and a beer was under $35. My date enjoyed herself here. That is also a plus for them. Bobby C recommends this place!
(5)David T.
I was in Lexington for a conference and sought this place out with some colleagues on a Saturday for a lunch break, because I read that it did some serious thin-crust artisanal pizza. We ordered a cheese pizza and one with artichokes and feta and roasted peppers. I thought both were great, especially the one with artichokes. My impression from the menu was that they'd use fresh mozzarella for the cheese pizza, but that was definitely not the case. Crust and pizza toppings were very good, all the same. They had some good beers on tap. Food is tops here. Every stage of the process took a long time, however. I think we sat with menus many minutes before the waitress asked if we wanted water or whatever to drink. I think it took them at least 20-25 minutes to make the pizzas (odd, as thin crust pizza cook quickly). Water refills, getting the bill, everything took a long time. But the patio atmosphere was nice, and we were not seriously inconvenienced. Just budget an extra half hour or so.

Curious to find a place in Lexington, that reminds me of home and then I stumble onto Jefferson St. With several choices to pop into, I decided to walk into the Grey Goose Bar. The place was a quarter full, well being a Tuesday night and a small city I shouldn't except much. I grabbed a seat at the bar and I was interested to see what, if any, local beers they had. Assuming there wasn't really a choice judging by what the locals were drinking(your typical Lite Lager), I was surprised. The Barista offered me their Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, which I would say was amazing. I also had their Bourbon burger, another great choice. My taste buds had a sensational night. There was really nothing bad about this place, other than the fact it was somewhat empty. My two drinks and dinner were around $18 which is reasonable. I love to see this place on the weekend and the type of people it attracts.
(4)Nate H.
What I don't like: no reservations, no hostess, and most importantly no method to keeping track of who gets the next table. Basically you just hover over diners hoping you've picked the next table to vacate. Seems like they could manage the seating process better. Wings were good, and one of the two pizzas we ordered was great. The second pizza was pretty burned. I'm actually surprised they brought it to the table because it was banged up. This place has potential but they have a JV squad working both the front and back of the house.
(2)Sam P.
Nothing outstanding about this place. Pizza is almost translucently thin but wasn't bad when folded upon itself. It did have a nice crispy crust that would do well with a side of marinara or something to dip in. A one sided menu with limited choices. No problems with the service. You won't be dissatisfied, but you might be able to find better.
(3)Meg L.
Great little place with a nice patio. The pizza I ordered (had an egg on it) was outstanding, though I think the egg was a bit overcooked (for Italian food, not for breakfast). I would love to go back and try another kind. I bet they are all good. I would recommend trying this little pizza shop.
(4)Ryan S.
Great place to dine for a less crowded, classier evening. The ambiance is undeniable. Plus they have Bourbon Barrel Ale on draft!!
(5)Christian S.
Fantastic place to gather with friends. Cozy, intimate atmosphere with great thin crust pizza. Good wine but a limited selection. 4 stars!

When we lived in downtown Lexington my husband and I loved to come here for a drink and order a pepperoni pizza. The thin crust is really delicious and perfect for a late night snack. I also loved the local homemade cheesecakes created by Sweet Revenge Baking Company. The patio is by far the best in town. I had my baby shower here in April and I was very pleased with the food and service! They were extremely accommodating and I am so happy to have picked The Grey Goose to celebrate one of the most memorable moments in our life. Our guests loved the pizza, appetizers, and cocktails. The Grey Goose will definitely be our first stop when we come back to visit our friends and family in Lexington. We love Jeff Wheeler and his awesome staff!

Cozy, warm interior with lots of exposed brick and wood. Good service even though almost all the tables were full when my three friends and I arrived. I really enjoyed the special of the night, a bbq chicken pizza -- tasty toppings and an excellent crust that was obviously made by hand, thin and crisp yet light. Also had an above-average caesar salad with dressing that was definitely house-made, not out of a bottle.

First time here and definitely a pleasant experience.. We came as a group of 6 for a small birthday gathering. They had a small parking lot across the street, which was very convenient! They don't take reservations but we were able to find seating outside as we arrived around 9.30pm. Patio was large enough for at least 10 tables and service was very quick. They have a good selection of pizzas, sandwiches , salads and appetizers. I had a thin crust blue cheese/bacon/sweet onion pizza with a nice cocktail- it was delicious! All of our orders came on time and we were pretty happy with the taste. I normally enjoy places with live music but not having music at Grey Goose didn't bother me at all because we actually enjoyed some good conversation along with our food..It was definitely a relaxing start to a fun Friday night..The only thing I didn't like was that some larger tables (like ours) didn't have as much lighting as the others and at times I couldn't see my food that well !!! Other than that, I left with a good impression of the place. Looking forward to going back again!

I really enjoy this place. I have been numerous times and every time have really loved it, even when sitting at the bar. The only real problem I have with it is that when you walk in it is kind of awkward because you are not sure what to do, I am socially awkward already and weird so this always is a confusing time for me. Anyway, other than the awkward walk in I love it. The atmosphere is great, the pizza is great, and I love that they have mini corn dogs. I took my best friend here on her birthday, her first time, and she had a great time.

New and clean, this bar is a nice place to grab a drink after work, as they currently cater to an older crowd than most Lexington bars. But it's still so new that who knows what it'll be like in a year. They do have comfortable outdoor seating and lots of good beer and whisky behind the bar for the discriminating drinker. Cheers!

Is this place sponsored by Grey Goose vodka? If not, what's with all the signage? Awful and uninspired beer list. Not a very good burger. Not good fries. Pizzas are ok.

I was a little cautious about this joint but it surprised me. They have an adorable patio in the back with heat lamps, a full bar and TVs. Service was great. We challenged the bar tenders to make uncommon drinks and while they weren't always per the recipe, they were tasty and we had no problem devouring one of their flatbread pizzas. Highly recommended.

A Lexington treasure. This is a fairly new restaurant, with an absolutely amazing patio. Great menu and a great bar. I had the pizza it was a thin crust pizza with a little doughy taste, totally awesome! Also we tried the brocolli bites and they were really good too. This is really a cool place to sit and talk about whatever may be on your mind, they had some great music playing in the background which offered conversation privacy. I love this place it is going to be one of my regular stops from now on!

The Grey Goose as a place is 5 stars! This is a neighborhood bar that is on its way to becoming a " where everyone knows your name" place! The owner is truly friendly, not just seemingly so, and goes out of his way to be accommodating. The wait staff is attentive, but not intrusive and food is brought out as soon as the kitchen can get it ready, which does vary with the size of the crowd. If you tend to impatience try it first on a weeknight and not when there is a concert or game at Rupp. On the other hand the food keeps it from getting 5 stars. The wings are great ; the burgers are great and so are the fries. The pizza is perhaps up to individual tastes to rate: ultra thin crust, very Chef Boyardee flavored sauce, but a nice selection of toppings.Mini corndogs were good. After having the best appletini ever at Jakes Cigar Bar in Nicholasville, my appletini at Grey Goose was not drinkable, nor was my husband's G&T, but the place was admittedly slammed and perhaps the regular bartender was off that night. However, a nice selection of very cold draft beer will solve any potential problem you may encounter. The ladies bathroom allows one at a time, but there is a chair outside in a nook area for one to wait. It is surprisingly large and pretty with a huge mirror. Overall this is a first rate gathering place. So glad we found it.

Stopped in here for the first time last weekend and was surprised to find it so crowded! The atmosphere and decor is cozy and classy, with exposed brick and polished hardwood. Drinks were reasonably priced and servers were friendly, if a bit distracted - not surprising considering how busy it was. Didn't eat, but the food that went by looked great. Will probably go back once the outdoor seating opens up and takes care of some of the crowding.
