Great food! Fast friendly delivery and the food is fresh and hot! Can't go wrong with this place. Great prices for huge portions.

They have the best take out Chinese in Lexington (and I've eaten at just about every one of them). I love that they will take requests and leave out things I don't like. I always get so much that I have leftovers for lunch the next day. And, they deliver!

I moved to Lexington 3 weeks ago, and this was my first attempt at Chinese delivery. I am giving them 2 stars because it arrived quickly, but the food was pretty awful. The pork with vegetables was flavorless with no seasoning to speak of, and the Mongolian beef tasted like it came out of a can. Seriously, the sauce of the Mongolian beef was disgusting, and I order Mongolian beef regularly when I get Chinese. The orange chicken was edible, but not particularly good. I can only hope that there are better alternatives in town.

Spent $28 on sesame chicken and orange chicken, with a side of chicken fried rice and 2 egg rolls. The food would've been up to par, should the meal had cost around $10 total. Very mediocre and disappointing, especially with all of the positive reviews on here. Ya let me down, Yelpers; ya let me all the way down. The search for a solid Chinese spot in Lexington continues on.

I've been here several times and every time the service and the food have been exceptional and fast. I usually get the general Tso's chicken. It's more than enough food and I usually have it for lunch the next day. Interesting to note that while there is a large dining area I never see anyone sitting in it.

First Chinese place down here and I'm already like wow! I saw the reviews and I still think this food was better than the places I use to live. The food came out fast and hot. The rice was so amazing. The egg roll was kinda small but who cares because they had orange chicken on the lunch menu. Which I've never seen before! I'll be eating here more down the line.

General Tso chicken was tough and chewy, every piece--the standard frozen substandard breaded chicken where they glop sauce on top and bam, there's your general Tso chicken. Also ordered sesame chicken--it was the same sauce with sesame seeds on top. The general Tso was not spicy at all, more like a sticky oversweet BBQ sauce. While I was very hungry, I could only eat about a third and had to spit out some of the gristley unchewable pieces. The fried rice was bright yellow rice-a-roni and had just a small scattering of peas carrots and so forth. There were exactly two pieces of broccoli per entree, one piece split in half. My son wanted to go to Panda Express but I insisted on this place based on the good yelp reviews. That was a mistake and my son was right. The egg rolls were OK and the hot&sour soup was passable. I kind of expected forks/napkins or chopsticks would be included in bag, but none were. Lots of soy sauce and duck sauce were included along with fortune cookies and two very dry sugar cookies (dessert?). To their credit the food was all hot, prepared quickly and cheap. The most critical element of a chicken dish is the chicken--chewy and gristle-laden dried out chicken that was obviously just a frozen mix does not cut it.

One of the best Chinese places in Lexington! (Although, there are a few) I order here quite regularly and the people are always polite, the food is always pipping hot and delicious, delivery is always fast. I've never had a bad experience with Golden Wok. Any time I order Chinese, it's almost always Golden Wok. I primarily order General Tso's, Sesame Chicken and Egg Drop Soup.

Great food, prompt service and reasonable prices. A big plus for me is that they use all white meat chicken! Great that they deliver to my area as well. Kung Pao chicken was great, curry chicken was great and sesame chicken was great.

This food is always well prepared and served fresh. They keep to simple Chinese dishes and they are all prepared well. Any of the crispy dishes are very good and the lo mein is never oily but flavorful. The steamed dumplings are very good.

This is by far the best chinese food I have had. When I first moved here, I attempted other chinese restaurant to help fill the need, but thay all fell short. The customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes they are patient, and sometimes they just want to get your order to move on to the next reason. I never care (one of very few places were staff does not effect the rating).

Very disappointing. The fried rice looked like rice a roni but very bland and the chicken had no flavor. The egg rolls were decent and became my meal. Never again....to top it off the waitress yelled at me when I asked her to take the rice off my bill considering I had only taken one bite, she said no because the food was fresh. I agreedwith her the food was hot and fresh but disgusting and I was unable to eat it.

First time eating here. Upon entrance it looks like any other small, cheap, Chinese to-go restaurant. No big qualms there. It fit the bill for what I was looking for. I was greeted by the young lady working the counter, but for some reason perhaps she wasn't having a great day, She was very impatient during my selection and came off a bit rude...nonetheless, I ordered the General Tso's lunch combo and was told it would be a ten minute wait. When I came back to get the food it was FRESH! And delicious! I was blown away by the quality. Totally worth the wait and the seemingly unfriendly counter girl. Great prices too for the amount of food that you're given. I'm giving them a 5-star rating on the basis that everyone has bad days, so I'm willing to let it go based on the fact that their food was unbelievable and she seemed to have perked up on my return. :D

First time dining here. I love small hole in the wall Chinese places, they always have the best food and Golden Wok did not disappoint. Prompt, friendly service. Good food too. Love their hot and sour soup.

This is a great Chinese place. When I am in the mood for Chinese, I skip the buffet places and head here. The food is fresh, fresh, fresh. It is classic Chinese food. They have the best crab Rangoon!

Learned about this place from a coupon on the back of a Kroger receipt. Just like other coupons on the back of a Kroger receipt, I thought that this restaurant would have been a cheap, waste of time kind of place. After eating a meal from this place, I was astounded by the quality of the food and the pricing. Such a great deal of food for an affordable price. I would suggest going there for lunch because it is way cheaper and getting a box to carry out food for dinner. Yeah, I know it's a cheap thing to do. Good stuff though.

Solid, hot (temperature and spice), Chinese food. ...nothing spectacular My kung pao was tasty though. Service was very fast. They have both carry-out and dine-in. The restaurant is a bit hard to find being tucked into a corner of the retail strip housing Hooters and Kroger. I'll dine here again.

Ok, it's a little strip-center place, sure. But if you're looking for American-style Chinese food, this place will do quite nicely. The prices are very reasonable, even cheap, for what you get. They have free delivery, which is lightening-fast usually. The lunch special is that you get a free soup, eggroll or drink with your entree, which makes it even cheaper. All in all, it's just what you expect for quickie Chinese delivery, but done well.

One of the better Chinese take-out places I've found in Lexington. Not great, but solid all-around. Good lo mein and excellent won ton soup.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
