I visited this location for the first time. There were five in our party and we had lunch. It was a pretty nice place, I didnt expect them to have TVs mounted to the walls. To me, paying two dollars for a hotdog is kind of expensive, but, according to yelp, if a person can eat for less than ten dollars, that's on the cheap. haha. But the price is worth it to me. I was really sad when my favorite skyline chili closed - they are my first choice, but now I'm glad I have pretty fair access to gold star and their menu is about the same. And the prices are about the same. This particular spot seems new and shiney and we really enjoyed our food. We had the 3 way, 5 way, coneys prepared different ways, pops, fries, and that's about it. It's Cincinnati chili, it is not like chili you would regularly make at home with chunks of tomatoes, onions, green peppers, beef, and beans - it's more like a soupy type chili so that it will spread out easily on other menu items like spaghetti, hot dogs, etc. I give this a four out of five stars. I will go again probably this weekend as I am planning on being in Lexington. I have a pic or two but will have to hunt them down in one of my folders.

We just did the drive through but they were fast and food was good. You have to love 10 cheese coneys in a box for dinner.

Gold Star is like a clone of Skyline. Everything is almost the same, except for the chili. You get oyster crackers, fast service, and all the 3, 4, and 5 ways you could want. Skyline's chili can be very runny and watery and Gold Star has a thicker heartier chili. I always order a bowl of chili, a few coneys, and the tex-mex nachos. Goldstar piles on the cheese.

These guys put the perfect amount of shredded cheddar on their conies. They use the appropriate bread and good tasting chili with appropriate texture for the dirt cheap price and fast service. The supreme dip with nachos was ok, but stick with the conies here instead.

Love having this restaurant so close to us. We had a hankering for some coneys one evening last week so we went through the drive-thru and got a ten pack. Yummy yummy! The chili is always good, with lots of cheese. We like ours with onions and mustard too. They are the perfect size to eat by hand. Pick some up today!
