There wasn't really anything that disappointed me about this place but nothing that impressed me either. A good place to go grab a burger, it was tasty and fairly cheap. I got a burger and the nachos supreme appetizer. We ordered queso with the nachos and the waitress forgot to bring it. Probably because she didn't write down our order. We never asked, because it was enough food anyway. Our waitress seemed in a huge hurry and not extremely friendly. She was nice at the end when she brought our check back. We were charged for a drink we didn't order and she took it off the bill and explained that when she brought our receipt.

Celebrating a great friends birthday, we came for dinner and found very hospitable servers, a smaller menu with enough choices to make a good decision but the problem was that everyone recommended everything. Prices were extremely reasonable and everything was pretty good. Minor things that could go wrong at any restaurant like the cucumber salad not served cold, the cut of beef was a little dry, and the preference of thin fries over thicker fries. Nothing to lose your mind over at all. I would love to come back someday.

Relaxed, pub-style dining. Friendly bartenders (heavy pours) and servers. A great place to eat and drink. As a local, I meet someone I know nearly every time I dine here. The value for the money cannot be beat by any chain restaurant. The wall eyed pike is excellent!

A great casual neighborhood spot. The chicken fingers and house salad made for a tasty casual meal. Good and drink prices are really affordable too - would go back again!

At the recommendation of my fellow Yelpers, I finally tried this place. At first impression, I loved the atmosphere, probably because I prefer a pub like atmosphere over fine dining. See, you learn something new about me with each review. Not that I don't enjoy, fine dining, sometimes I just want to wear my jeans and a sweatshirt and not feel out of place at where I choose to eat. It was lunch time, but the menu didn't indicate any lunch specials. As we were leaving, I noticed a "lunch special board", guess I should have asked the waitress if they had lunch specials. I wasn't feeling very hungry though, after feasting the night before at Lexington's greatest ever Yelp event....so I just ordered cheese fries. If you've ever wondered what McDonald's fries would taste like served as cheese fries, here you can experience that because their fries taste similar to McDonalds. I love me some McDonalds crack fries. Shoot, now I am hungry! The menu had a lot of options that I will enjoy the next time that I go....hungry. Here is why the missing star, the service was a bit slow. I heard the people at the table behind us complaining about it. All in all, I would go back for sure.

Great service, generous pours on the wine (can't beat that) and everything ordered was terrific. Cute and cozy neighborhood atmosphere!

Love the food and the relaxed family atmosphere. Perfect place to take the kids for dinner or to grab a bite to eat after a baseball or soccer game. Great French Dip!

Came here for a friends birthday dinner the other night. This place is always packed around dinner time! So get here early! We ordered appetizers- loaded fries and beer cheese. The loaded fries were delicious! Cheesy with bacon bits! the beer cheese was good too... Very spicy! I got the AP suggins chicken plate blackened. The chicken was very tender and moist. The seasoning was a little too salty but still really good! For dessert we had the lemon cake, which was phenomenal. Highly recommend the cake. Will be back again to try more entrees!!!

It's burger week in Lexington! After reviewing all of the options, my daughter and I decided to try AP Suggins for lunch. The atmosphere seemed like a pub for locals. The inside of the restaurant didn't wow us; however, our burger was great! My daughter gave the burger a 10 out of 10!

This is a decent local hangout with a variety of comfort foods. I was there to try the Western Burger for Lexington's Burger Week. Not bad, not bad at all!

On the surface, this place looks pretty ho-hum. It reminds me of any generic restaurant with a bar and some booths set around. The menu didn't seem like anything spectacular and there weren't very many people there at lunchtime when I dropped in today. I ordered a burger with cheddar and an onion ring on top and a side of fries. I wasn't expecting too much, but I was proven wrong! The burger came out perfectly medium and with a fresh tomato and slice of lettuce. The bun itself was big and fluffy and toasted just right. It was just the right amount of food to leave me satisfied and full. My wife and I both ate for about $16. A great place with great prices! I'd definitely come back here for a bite whenever I was over in this area of time. Also, our server Vicki was super. She popped in with our orders and our drinks exactly when needed and noticed from two tables over my ketchup bottle was empty when I went to squeeze it. I guess I just got used to being served by disaffected twenty-somethings and was impressed by someone who just did everything the way it should be. Thanks Vicki!

We decided to try this based on some of the Yelp reviews. To be flat out honest, I was not impressed, at all. The food, while not terrible, was nothing spectacular. I got the Santa Fe chicken sandwich was good but no flavor at all, I actually dipped it in ketchup. My husband got the Spicy Cajun chicken sandwich and he said it was good and he liked the rub. We had the banana peppers to start and they were served with cocktail sauce which we thought was strange. The spot is an old establishment and it has its regulars! I won't be returning because the food was just blah

Good food; good service.. The bar area is noisy, but the dining room area is quieter. I ordered a bean burrito and it was good. Roy ordered a hamburger. He said it was very, very good! The grandkids had macaroni & cheese and FRESH mixed fruit. A great neighborhood place.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Every time I have been here, I get excellent service from friendly staff and excellent bar food. The ambiance is as chill as it gets and they have W ^th St on tap. I haven't ever gotten anything but a burger, this is because it's a big burger with awesome, even the bun is worth a few words of praise. Here's a tip, go and get a custom built burger and fry's, toss back a few 6th St IPA's and just enjoy yourself, A.P. Sluggins wants to see you smile!

One of the best kept not in your home home cooking in Lexington. A lot of blue blood to push out of the way but that's just because they want it to them self. Side salad is tops in town (yes silly to speak of a side salad but trust me, I eat out!) turkey burger your way is a hit on my board. Open face turkey is no turkey! Sides could be your main and if come enough one day will be. Lunch or dinner you will be happy with your choice. Tip well as most of the blue hair don't. I assume

Usually a pretty good bet but tonight they were off their game. I had one of the recommended specials; a pasta with a side salad. The wait staff was prompt and attentive but my food was subpar. The salad was a generous portion and delicious. My pasta was cooked adequately and a good portion. The meat sauce was horrible; bland, greasy, tasteless. Although it was "meaty" the portion size was not enough for the pasta and their was no cheese (I had to ask for it special). The burned Texas toast was not garlic buttered and insufficient for my order. When I requested another the management insisted on charging more. I promptly declined (along with my order for dessert, as well). Anyway, I'll try again in a few months maybe then they will have improved.

I started by going straight to the bar when I got there. Ordered a beer. "Our tap is broken". Fair enough, how about a bottle of beer. "We are out of that?" Okay. Is it happy hour? "Yes". What is your happy hour? "I don't know but our beer is cheap". I was sitting at the bar asking the bartender! Never did find out what the HH was. Ended up with water. Ordered chips and salsa. The salsa is Pace. Needless to say this was not good.

Tucked away on Romany Road across from the smallest Kroger you will ever find is this very popular neighborhood bar and restaurant. Solid menu, excellent sides, and a lively bar area. They typically have nightly specials that are not on the regular menu, so be sure to ask about those or look on the dry-erase board they have mounted. Best side salad in town. Never had a bad meal or bad service here. Parking is hard to find at times, and this place is on a wait just about every night of the week during peak dining hours.

AP Suggins is a great little neighborhood bar and restaurant. Literally, it is tucked away, along with a couple other businesses, in the middle of Lexington's Chevy Chase neighborhood. Classic bar food plus some tasty Kentucky originals, like their gigantic hot brown, make Suggins a Lexington staple. After dinner, stop over to Graeter's Ice Cream Parlor next door for some delicious desert.

This is a delicious little tucked away restaurant and bar that is absolutely fabulous-- and being affordable in Chevy Chase says something in and of itself. The food is always good, it is always busy, and there is great diversity in the people who are frequenters here- those who live in Chevy Chase and walk, families, buisness men and women, real estate agents, politicians/famous Lexington folks, and then just your average person who likes a good bar with good food. I highly recommend it. The Chicken Santa Fe sandwich is a fav of mine. Side salads are healthy poritioned and include real bacon and egg on them. It's just a great little spot, and SO much more affordable than even most of the chains in Lexington. Chicken Sandwich and fries for $6.95- that's what I'm talking about! :-)

Overall this place was very good. It's definitely more of a restaurant than a bar, though. don't go expecting to play darts or pool or anything. We had 2 appetizers: the nachos and the beer cheese. The nachos were excellent - generous portion and good ingredients. The beer cheese was decent, but overpriced in my opinion ($6 for a small cup of cheese, and tortilla chips). The ambiance was pretty nice - low key and friendly staff.
