This is a Mom and Pop joint. Good food and good service! Menu?? Check under your table! I love this place, the staff is incredible friendly, polite and helpful. Great BBQ. I can tell you all other Yelpers that from experience BBQ is different in each state and across the country. Tennessee and Kentucky like their BBQ dry, while the west likes theirs wet! This place gives you so much food, you better not leave here still hungary! Hahaha... Love the homemade pies. Never had chess pie till I came here. The only complaint is the smell of smoke... I know this is tobacco country, but I don't like smoke while I eat!

Worst bbq and service I ever had. I went once and would never go back even if offered free food for life.

This place has great food and awesome prices, if you don't mind being eyeballed by the "local folk" your entire meal and breath in their cigarette smoke, lol. The pork plate and burgoo is scrumptious though, so it almost makes it worth it. They have awesome deepfried pies too. They have a drive through window where you can order your meal to go if you would rather not sit in a cloud of second hand smoke.

Sorry, but everything at this place is super dry, and kinda flavorless. If you just have to go.....take your own fly swat. Ewww

Absolutely great food! The pulled pork is outstanding and the selection of sides has something for everyone. Don't forget the chess pie too!

In town for work with a co-worker and we're starving after a long day of airports and flight delays. All the restaurants near our hotel had bad reviews so Yelp to the rescue. BBQ is always a good idea so we headed out. Based on a previous review, I was expecting a "you fellas ain't from round here" moment. I don't tell my co-worker about the review because I'm curious if it'll happen to us. We walk in and get immediately greeted by a couple of friendly women. Our server was prompt, friendly and had some good suggestions. I order the mutton plate out of curiosity since most bbq places only do chicken, pork, and beef. It was okay. Had a slight gamey flavor which is fine (it's mutton after all, not chicken). The meat was shredded but not super flavorful. A squirt of their sauce helped though. The sides were pretty good. Had the cream corn, cole slaw, white beans, and corn bread. Our server was cute and nice. That was probably the best thing about this place. I got a chocolate chess pie to go based on her recommendation. Haven't eaten it yet but I'm sure it'll be good since it's chocolate pie. The food was okay at best but the prices were very good. The other customers seemed to be regular locals. Not sure I'll be back if I'm out this way for work again.

Woodshed Pit Bar-B-Que & Restaurant is a place i would not tell other people to eat at! the food taste like leftovers not fresh tasting at All! The bar-b-que is tough & Dry! The specials are pre-cooked earlier in the day & served till they close or till it is all gone! The place does not look very clean! I Had to ask for a clean fork looks like it was left to dry Before they washed the dishes!

I had the grilled cheese, with a macaroni and cheese side, and some corn bread. The corn bread was a bit dry but tasty. The sandwich and the Mac & cheese were good. Not spectacular, but decent food. The restaurant was clean as was the woman's restroom.

This had to be the worst barbeque I have ever had. I will not be going back.

Best pulled pork!

The food was great, the clientele was a bunch of jovial locals, and their prices were a bargain. They have a variety of specials and most of it is homemade. I bought a couple containers of their in-house sauce to take home because it was that good!! I'm a passing tourist too, but I thought this place was a great slice of Southern dining culture.

Great little neighborhood meat & three, good home cooking, great place to get your veggies, and BBQ. Awesome desserts, like mom use to make and outstanding prices. You can call in an order and pick it up at their drive-thru.

Nice lunch. Clean, friendly, no cigarette smoke or smoking. Choices of BBQ pork, mutton, or chicken. Staff friendly. Bathroom clean and modern. Very nice place.
