Great place! Ate at the Horseshoe Steak house with the family today. The Horseshoe Steak house has a cozy atmosphere and great food. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Niki. We will definitely come back during our next visit to Hopkinsville.

My husband liked the steak, but if you're like me and want a serloin they don't have it. The reason for the 1 star is the atmosphere. If you like to sweat in the dark while eating then this is the place for you. The bar is located in the same tiny room as the restaurant so if you want a quiet meal, forget it. I also felt it was over priced for for and atmosphere, there really isn't reason to go back. There are better places in Hopkinsville if steak is what your looking for.

Ordered my meal to go. Steak was cooked perfectly. Potato and salad were good. Best part of the dinner was the fried shrimp with the sauce. I would definitely come here again.

the horseshoe rocks! it's everything i love about kentucky. small, dark, and smokey, because you know tobacco people will do as they like :) with a digital jukebox that carries the country greats (not just the pop crap you hear on the radio). the steaks are amazing. and i dare anyone to find a better hamburger. it melts in your mouth. i will come back again and again.

Came here while on a layover at the Holiday Inn down the road. No hotel van & no taxi to be had so 8 of us hoofed it down to the Horseshoe. It was worth it!!! Hotel front desk clerk wisely called ahead to make a reservation for us so our table was ready & waiting. Our super friendly server generously split our checks so figuring out our individual bills at the end was so much easier. I know this is a little hard for servers but trust me you get better tips this way. 6 of us had the sirloin & 2 had the filets. All were very good. A few people thought their steaks were undercooked when ordered medium well. As a medium rare person I was happy to see mine not overcooked while waiting for theirs. Salads with blue cheese dressing, bacon, cheese & croutons indulgent & delicious. Baked potato with the works artery clogging pleasure. The wine by the glass leaves a good amount to be desired. It was small bottles of screw cap wine. Manhattan was adequate but not knock your socks off. Fried shrimp added to the meal were awesome!! I would get a meal of just shrimp next time. Nice dark interior with cute cow print tablecloths. The hallway to the scary bathroom feels like a bad dream. Would I go again. Hell yeah!! :)

A little hole in the wall with fabulous (and huge), perfectly charred steaks and burgers.The staff is friendly, there is always good music playing and they have a good selection of alcohol. All in all a great place to grab a good dinner and not feel pressured to get dressed up.

This is a small, old building at the end of a busy strip in Hoptown that smacks you in face with the scent of something yummy as soon as you get out of the car. Smoky, flavorful and probably really fattening all the components of a good steak dinner. The patty melt, extra onions and extra cheese please!!!!

I forgot to re-rate this place. Now that it is smoke-free, it deserves 4 stars. Don't expect to come here and have a quiet meal. The bar is in the dining room and it is cramped. This is a small local joint and not a chain. It is going to be cozy. Also don't expect to leave here hungry. You will be full. The price is a little high unless you do the dinner for two. Kind of not a great place for dining solo. Outstanding place for dining with a party if you are willing to share.

This is a solid place to eat. My parents and son joined me for dinner recently. We split the steak dinner for 2 and the Cajun chicken dinner. We selected hash browns as one of sides along with a dinner salad. There was plenty of food for all of us to leave with full bellies and enough meat for a meal later. I would return again but next time I will try the burger which looked amazing and enough to feed 2. This is not a fancy steakhouse, but one that been around for many decades.
