I don't know why this restaurant won't show up if you just search "Mexican". Anyway coming from Arizona recently I wouldn't call it authentic, however as far as restaurants go in the area this place was pretty good. My husband and I both enjoyed our meal, and service was quick,

We stopped here for dinner after failed attempts to get in to two other places in town. The service was terrible from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. Not sure who the male was that seated us - manager maybe? He was terrible - no personality our people skills and our waiter wasn't any better. He too was terrible- no personality and very aloof. Docked 2 stars for the lack of service. The food was alright- I'll probably give it another try but only because I enjoyed my bbq salmon with blk beans and corn/veggie mixture.

Ugh-- don't bother. This is the worst Mexican food I've ever had. The quality is worse than a Taco Bell, the restaurant seems dirty ( sticky tables-- ew), and the waiter was clueless about the menu. I asked him what options he would recommend for a vegetarian and he just blinked at me. The quesadilla was the saddest thing I've ever seen-- looked more like dog food than anything else. I'm surprised I didn't get food poisoning here-- seriously, don't even bother.

Let's cut the crap and get to the point... ISSUES: - We dined in and it took over 6 minutes till our server finally addressed us. Keep in mind several people passed by and there were barely any customers. - Regular margaritas have the cheapest tequila in them. Blech! - We got a queso dip to go. It was $6 for a medium and NO chips!! It should be $4. - Taco meat was nothing to rave about. They also jewed me out of shredded white cheese on top. ONLY POSITIVE.... Is that their tacos came on a neat taco rack. Usually that's convenient for those establishments that load their tacos. This place doesn't (I'm guessing they're trying to cut food costs) so it was unnecessary. FINAL THOUGHTS: I'm crossing this Mex joint off my list and will not return. It's a shame, because I LOVE Mex American food and don't mind dropping $$ on a dinner. Still on the hunt for a decent Mexican restaurant around here.

Great value. Speedy service with Spanish speaking wait staff. Salsa did not taste homemade. But the salad was fresh with iceberg lettuce and tomato. The vegetable fajitas were little greasy but tasty.

We just moved from Houston, TX where great Mexican food is abundant. So, that makes us a little picky, but this place still met our standards considering its small town, Kentucky location. The salsa is okay and we asked for some green sauce, which cost extra and was pretty gross. We like the thick, avocado dip and this was soupy and weird tasting. The main meal was good, but again cost extra for a little sour cream for my husband's meal. Tip: Just go with the meal that is described on menu as coming with everything. Overall not bad and will satisfy Mexican cravings for now.

Cheap, clean, and fast! Some authentic dishes....some a little weak. Red sauce needs work, and i'm pretty sure they have switched to pre-packaged guacamole.......sucks! There are 3 of these Mexican restaurants in town and their all safe to eat at. The Cancun is a little further down the boulevard and its pretty good also, older..... but just as good.

this isn't cherokee street authentic, but then again you have to consider the clientele. As far a mexican restaurant chains go, i am a huge fan. the fish tacos and gaucamole salad are fantastic! (and i try fish tacos at every mexican restaurant). great service. very fast.

This place is A-OK. Came here with my company for lunch and had a pretty good time. They have tasty Guacamole and tortilla chips that come out pretty fresh. They also had this other salsa, a little hotter, but super good! I can't remember the name now. Had the Taco Salad Fajitas. That was pretty decent. Needed a little more flavor, but super filling. Service was great - our server could put like 5 plates on his hands/arms. THAT itself was impressive. Cheese/queso dip was alright.

It's tough to say if this place or Señor Lopez is the best Mexican restaurant in town. It's a great value, however Lopez may have a wider variety on their menu. The cheese dip at El Bracero is awesome, everything else is really good, too.
