I've been to La Fonda's more times than I can count. It was a frequent spot for my friends, family, and boyfriend to hit. I grew up in Harrodsburg, and La fonda's food has always been consistent. I will say their prices have jumped, but they've gained popularity so what do you expect? The food is always warm and brought out quickly. The salsa and chips is a 50/50 shot. Sometimes the chips are warm and fresh, sometimes their not. Sometimes the salsa is spicy, sometimes mild. My favorite is a simple Harrodsburg Special with extra sauce. If you're in Harrodsburg, pick La Fonda's food over the other local restaurant El Charro.

Pretty typical Mexican in small town. Bland rather than spiced nicely. But I asked for special entrée not on menu & server came up with open pablano pepper filled with shrimp, Chizoro sausage & pulled pork. Much better than traditional or average items on their menu. Salsa seemed out of a jar; nothing ultra special here, but good to average over all in downtown H'Burg.

Only place open on a snowy Saturday! Very thankful for that. Husband got beef fajitas that were excellent. I got a beef tamale that was great & bean burrito was good too. Chicken enchilada was good as well. Service was friendly & attentive.

La Fonda's doesn't really compare to the Mexican places in Lexington, but it's good for the area. I do have to say they were very accommodating and will basically make anything how you want it. It's fairly priced for the amount of food you get. Service was good and staff were friendly.
