Best black bean burger!! ********** I debated between three and four stars...decided on three as there is basically one entree I am able to get (though the taste is outstanding). would have gone with four with more vegan options (like a pasta that could be quickly done with veggies, etc). *********** As a vegan, I must say this isn't the first place I would go for food...however in Glasgow there are many places to choose from with any sort of options that can be veganized without ending up with a salad. Again. My first time here, the staff were all helpful in answering questions about the menu choices. The chef even came out to help identify something that would be good. After some deliberation, I decided on the black bean burger, without the bun (it contained egg). I have no idea which spices exactly are used on this burger, but it rocks! Even my husband agrees that this is quite possibly the best black bean burger we've ever had! (If we get our orders to go, I like to take some vegan blue cheese crumbles and place on top...talk about a winner!!) The ladies working out front are always friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to see every time I'm there! The service is great, food consistent (not to mention yummy), and each trip has been rated as a *success* in my book! For non-vegans...the rest of the menu looks quite interesting. My family enjoys eating there and the few non-vegan items my husband has tried while in town have been a hit with him as well. Thanks, George J's, for giving me a great lunch option without having to leave Glasgow!! ********* open for breakfast and lunch (not sure what time they close) believe they do have some alcoholic beverages available seems quite popular with the downtown crowd ********* my only wish: there were more vegan or vegan-friendly options...but given this is a small town I do not really expect for this to become a reality.

This place is terrible. My servers gut folded over the top of her little sisters jeans and got in the way of her serving an awful burger.

As the old saying goes, "time changes everything"...no different here. Just a few years ago I gave this place a great review, but now I have to change it. They no longer have the local farm raised beef burgers and boy is that a mistake! For what it is, the prices are high. Too many changes for the worse.

This place has been renamed again and again. Now it's called the Music Room at George J's. The waitress said that the building keeps getting new owners and the restaurant keeps undergoing changes. So I'll tell you about my experience but who knows what it will be when you go. So ..... Here's an open plea to all owners of eating establishments everywhere. If you are going to fry fish you need a dedicated fish fryer that is used for fish and nothing but fish. Not because fish needs a certain temperature or a certain kind of oil to cook right, but because if you cook anything else in the same oil you fry fish in ... everything else gets infected with a certain fishy odiferousness. In short, everything else tastes like fish. Ugh. Such was the case with my seasoned waffle fries that I had to douse with ketchup to erase the trouty taste. The Peanut Butter Milkshake was very good. I was sorry to see the bottom of that glass. It comes in an old fashioned milkshake glass with whipped cream on top. Shlurp up as much as I could through that straw? Check. Lick the straw clean? Check. The chicken salad was ok. The buttered and grilled pretzel bun it came on was awesome. It was kind of like the chicken salad knew it couldn't compete with the pretzel bun and it just said "fine, I give. i can't top your chewy salty buttery yumminess. you win. well played buttered grilled pretzel bun. well played." The atmosphere was fine. there were some weird table decorations of seagram's alcohol bottles with bright green water inside. Not sure what the deal with those were. there is a stage to the right of the door where i assume they have live bands play on at times. The people working there were friendly and nice. I went there at an off time, about three pm, and there weren't many other customers there. It's right on the square and parking is either street or some pull in spaces around the square. I don't think I'd go out of my way for this place, but It was a nice lunch all the same.

Used to come here and eat with my father every Sunday morning, waitress knew our names and the cooks would start it going when we would walk through the door. Have not had a chance to eat here since the renovation but have heard nothing but good things.
